After Going on a Blind Date With My Omega Love Rival (ABO, GL) - Chapter 79
Chapter 79
That day, Chi Ruixi didn’t take their playful conversation seriously, but Yu Heyi valued it greatly.
The matter of having a child felt urgent to her. Her mommy was already expecting a second child, while they didn’t even have their first yet.
Although it wasn’t really comparable, Yu Heyi genuinely wanted a child. The thought of a tiny, soft Chi Ruixi melted her heart.
The child had to look like Chi Ruixi, preferably differentiating into an Omega—a sweet, soft baby girl.
So, for a while, Yu Heyi worked especially hard. She marked Chi Ruixi deeply each time, leaving Chi Ruixi exhausted and overwhelmed.
In reality, after an Alpha permanently marked an Omega, deep marking didn’t hold much significance outside of the Omega’s heat cycle. The only purpose was a small chance of conception.
The chance wasn’t high, but it was better than nothing, so Yu Heyi didn’t want to miss any opportunity.
The only downside was that Chi Ruixi felt extremely tired lately. Her days off were more exhausting than workdays.
“Heyi, can we go out and stroll today?” Chi Ruixi asked weakly, lying on Yu Heyi’s body that morning after another tiring session.
Compared to Chi Ruixi’s fatigue, Yu Heyi felt refreshed and energized. She hadn’t been happier than in this recent period. She hugged the soft body in her arms tightly, her eyes filled with contentment, and said, “I don’t want to go out… Lying here feels so comfortable.”
Chi Ruixi’s face darkened instantly. Both knew exactly what “comfortable” meant.
She pinched the soft flesh at Yu Heyi’s waist and said fiercely, “No way. We have to go out today.”
If they didn’t go out, she’d collapse from exhaustion in bed.
She was furious. She had begged Yu Heyi countless times not to mark her so deeply, but Yu Heyi wouldn’t listen. Though, at first, she kind of enjoyed it.
But over time, she couldn’t handle it. She felt tired and sore all over.
Yet Yu Heyi grew more energetic. Chi Ruixi wondered if Yu Heyi was some kind of spirit draining her energy.
Puffing angrily, she pinched Yu Heyi’s nose and asked, “Why aren’t you ever tired?”
In her mind, she added, “Is the two-year age gap really that big?”
Yu Heyi, with her nose pinched, found her wife’s pouty expression adorable. She pinched Chi Ruixi’s cheek and said, “Alphas naturally have better stamina than Omegas.”
“Besides, I’ve never stopped exercising all these years, unlike you, sitting in an office,” she added.
Yu Heyi made sense, but Chi Ruixi wasn’t happy. Lately, their relationship had been sweet as honey, and Yu Heyi had spoiled her into acting more willful.
“I don’t care. You can’t keep doing that. Can we go out and have fun?” Chi Ruixi asked.
Yu Heyi sat up, leaned against the headboard, placed Chi Ruixi on her lap, held her close, and whispered, “But playing with my wife is the most fun.”
Chi Ruixi clearly wasn’t buying it. She’d been sweet-talked like this too many times recently.
“Then how about going out to play with your wife?” she countered.
Seeing the longing in her wife’s eyes, Yu Heyi softened.
She admitted she’d been a bit excessive lately.
Soon after Chi Ruixi’s heat cycle ended, Yu Heyi’s susceptible period arrived as expected. She started making unreasonable demands and hadn’t stopped.
“Where do you want to go play?” Yu Heyi asked.
“Anywhere, as long as I’m with you,” Chi Ruixi replied.
“Then let’s stay home…” Yu Heyi suggested.
Chi Ruixi got truly angry this time. Without a word, she got out of bed, ignoring Yu Heyi’s stunned expression, and said, “Play at home by yourself. I’m leaving.”
With that, she slammed the door and left. At first, Yu Heyi thought Chi Ruixi was just being moody and wouldn’t really leave. But soon, she heard clattering sounds outside.
Then the sound of the door closing. Chi Ruixi had actually left.
Now Yu Heyi panicked completely. Had she gone too far?
She jumped out of bed, threw on a short-sleeved shirt and boots in a hurry, grabbed her keys and phone without combing her hair or washing her face, and rushed out.
It was nearly eleven o’clock. The sun outside was getting harsh. Yu Heyi didn’t think Chi Ruixi would go far in the blazing heat and assumed she was just teasing her.
So she wandered around the neighborhood.
But there was no sign of Chi Ruixi.
In a panic, she called Chi Ying. The call was hung up right after it connected. Yu Heyi called again, and it took a while before Chi Ying picked up.
“Chi Ying, is your little aunt at your place?” Yu Heyi asked.
Chi Ying glanced at Chi Ruixi, who sat on the couch with her arms crossed and a fierce look in her eyes.
Instinctively, Chi Ying swallowed and said, “No, she’s not here.”
If Yu Heyi was fifty percent sure Chi Ruixi was at Chi Ying’s after the first call, she was now two hundred percent certain.
Chi Ying’s voice sounded too strange.
Yu Heyi didn’t waste time talking and hung up, heading straight to Chi Ying’s place.
“Who told you to answer her call?” Chi Ruixi asked sharply, startling Chi Ying.
Chi Ying had been playing a game when Chi Ruixi suddenly knocked on the door.
After asking who it was and hearing Chi Ruixi’s voice, Chi Ying let her in.
She knew the passcode anyway.
At first, Chi Ying didn’t notice her aunt’s mood. Only after finishing a game did she realize Chi Ruixi seemed upset.
She didn’t know the exact reason, but it was likely Yu Heyi’s fault.
If Chi Ruixi weren’t in a bad mood, Chi Ying would’ve teased her aunt. The Alpha pheromones on her were irritating—did she have to bring them here?
But she didn’t dare.
Yu Heyi’s first call was hung up by Chi Ruixi. The second call, Chi Ying answered on her own, unable to stand the smell of her aunt’s pheromones.
She wanted her aunt’s wife to take her away.
“Did you two have a fight?” Chi Ying asked.
Chi Ruixi turned her head and didn’t answer, acting like a sulky little girl.
Chi Ying thought her aunt had come a few buildings over just to feed her dog food.
“Little Aunt, you’re covered in my aunt-in-law’s scent. Can you not torture me like this?” Chi Ying couldn’t hold back and blurted out.
This made Chi Ruixi, who was thick-skinned in front of Yu Heyi but shy with others, blush.
She refused to speak.
Chi Ying didn’t press further and sat with her on the couch. She pursed her lips, thinking her aunt was probably waiting for Yu Heyi to come coax her.
Sure enough, Omegas needed coaxing, and her aunt was no exception.
Soon, someone knocked on the door. Chi Ying jumped up to open it, sneaking a glance at Chi Ruixi and noticing her lips curve slightly, as if she was a bit happy.
At her young age, why did she have to endure this?
When she opened the door, Yu Heyi rushed in before Chi Ying could see clearly, heading straight to Chi Ruixi and squatting at her feet.
She looked utterly devoted.
“Ruixi, don’t be mad,” Yu Heyi said.
Chi Ruixi didn’t even glance at her. Chi Ying mentally scoffed—her aunt was such a good actress. She was happy Yu Heyi came just moments ago.
“Wife, I was so worried. Don’t run off like that again,” Yu Heyi said.
Chi Ying got goosebumps hearing this and made a weird noise. Chi Ruixi’s sharp gaze shot toward her.
Chi Ying faltered and stammered, “You two talk. I’ll step out.”
Now alone, Yu Heyi dropped the act. She hugged Chi Ruixi, kissed her cheek, then her lips, and even kissed her hand.
“Ruixi baby, don’t be mad. It’s all my fault. Punish me however you want,” Yu Heyi said.
At that, Chi Ruixi reacted. She gave a mischievous smile and asked, “Really?”
Yu Heyi nodded and said, “Really, truer than pearls!”
“Hmm…” Chi Ruixi held her chin, thought seriously, and said, “Let’s go to the water park.”
“What?!” Yu Heyi exclaimed.
Play in the water? Facing her fear head-on?
Yu Heyi’s face fell, and she said nervously, “Ruixi… are you serious?”
“Serious!” Chi Ruixi replied.
Yu Heyi said aggrievedly, “But I’m scared…”
Chi Ruixi wasn’t buying it and said coldly, “If you’re not scared, how is it a punishment?”
Yu Heyi had no response. She was speechless.
In truth, Chi Ruixi just wanted to tease her, to pay her back for all the exhaustion.
“Fine… okay,” Yu Heyi said.
If Yu Heyi hadn’t looked so miserable saying it, they’d definitely have gone to the water park.
“Okay, I’m teasing you. Don’t feel bad,” Chi Ruixi said, lowering her head, wrapping her arms around Yu Heyi’s neck, and smiling.
Yu Heyi froze at first, then visibly relaxed.
But then she thought, if they went to the water park…
Wouldn’t she get to see Big Sister Chi in a bikini?
Chi Ruixi expected Yu Heyi to look happy after her words, but the happiness lasted only a moment. The next second, Yu Heyi’s eyes shifted, and Chi Ruixi knew something was up.
“Since… it’s a punishment, we shouldn’t skip it, right?” Yu Heyi said cautiously, afraid Chi Ruixi would catch her scheme.
It wasn’t exactly a scheme—just a craving.
“Are you serious?” Chi Ruixi asked suspiciously. How could someone afraid of water suddenly not care?
She was panicking just a second ago, and now she seemed bold, even a bit eager.
Something was definitely fishy!
This was what they called lust overcoming fear. Yu Heyi was so eager to see Chi Ruixi in a swimsuit that she could ignore her fear of water.
“Fine, let’s pack and go now,” Chi Ruixi said.
Thinking of bikinis, Yu Heyi gritted her teeth and said, “Okay, let’s go back.”
They finished talking and called Chi Ying back in, telling her they were leaving.
“You made up that fast?” Chi Ying asked. It hadn’t even been ten minutes, and they’d already reconciled? That was too quick.
Yu Heyi smirked proudly and said, “That’s because I’m awesome.”
Chi Ruixi smiled and teased, “Yeah, I decided to punish her by going to the water park.”
Chi Ying was shocked, eyes wide, and asked, “Going out to play is a punishment?”
“Oh, she’s afraid of water,” Chi Ruixi explained.
Yu Heyi’s heart sank. Her fierce Alpha reputation was ruined!
