After leaving scumbag A, I Found a Happy Ending with a Flirtatious Beauty (GL , ABO) - Chapter 6
The Alpha was still dressed in a black fitted suit, but the cut and fabric looked like something straight out of a high-fashion autumn issue.
Shen Qiaoyi’s gaze dropped to the tray in her hand.
This club catered exclusively to the wealthy and elite, so it wasn’t surprising if even the uniforms were custom-made by high-end designers.
Was she working part-time here?
Lu Zhiyuan stood between the booths, quietly watching the entire exchange from a distance. Before she had time to look away, her eyes met Shen Qiaoyi’s.
In that moment, Shen Qiaoyi’s stunned expression gradually shifted into delight.
She didn’t know why, but seeing “Zhiyuan” made her genuinely happy. The joy on her face was obvious, unfiltered and sincere.
“Why are you here?”
She instinctively took a step toward her, but before she could go any further, her wrist was grabbed.
Shen Qiaoyi turned her head and glared at Song Yin. “Miss Song, please let go of me.”
Song Yin tightened her grip. “Yiyi, not until we talk things through.”
“I’ve already made myself very clear,” Shen Qiaoyi replied, struggling to break free. Her voice was sharp with irritation. “I already have an Alpha. Please stop bothering me.”
Song Yin’s voice rose in panic. “That’s not possible. These past few months, we’ve been—”
Shen Qiaoyi forcefully pulled her arm away and walked straight over to Lu Zhiyuan. Without hesitation, she slipped her arm through hers.
Lu Zhiyuan let her do it, even allowing herself to be led in front of Song Yin. She leaned slightly forward, as if cooperating with the act.
Shen Qiaoyi raised her chin proudly and looked at Song Yin with disdain. “Miss Song, this is my Alpha.”
Both Song Yin and Lu Zhiyuan froze for a second at her words.
Song Yin lost all composure, her voice turning sharp. “Shen Qiaoyi, do you think I’ll believe you just dragged some random Alpha here to play along?”
Shen Qiaoyi leaned intimately against Lu Zhiyuan’s shoulder, her long lashes lifting flirtatiously. “Zhiyuan, tell her what we are to each other.”
From the moment Shen Qiaoyi clung to her, Lu Zhiyuan had gone completely tense. When Qiaoyi called her name out loud, she was too distracted to question how she knew it.
“Zhiyuan…”
Shen Qiaoyi drew out the name softly, her tone sweet and affectionate.
She tilted her head up and leaned close to her ear, whispering, “Zhiyuan, tell her, so she’ll give up.”
She put extra emphasis on “so she’ll give up,” and Lu Zhiyuan immediately understood what she was really saying: play along.
Lu Zhiyuan gave a faint, almost amused smile. Though her face looked reluctant, her long fingers slowly intertwined with Shen Qiaoyi’s, locking their hands together.
She turned to face Song Yin, her long dark lashes lowered slightly as she looked down at her.
“She is my Omega.”
A firework went off in Shen Qiaoyi’s chest. Her smile curled into something she tried to suppress but couldn’t.
Song Yin’s gaze, filled with hostility, finally shifted to Lu Zhiyuan. She narrowed her eyes and looked her up and down, speaking with disdain. “Shen Qiaoyi, you seriously chose someone who serves drinks?”
“So what if she does? Did she eat your food or spend your money?”
Shen Qiaoyi had no idea where this Alpha got her sense of superiority. If anything, her current role as a lead actress came thanks to the original Shen Qiaoyi’s connections. She had no right to look down on anyone.
Not wanting to waste another second on Song Yin, she turned and wrapped her arms gently around Lu Zhiyuan’s waist. Her hand slid slowly along the curve of her back in a soothing motion.
“Ignore her. Let’s go.”
Lu Zhiyuan nodded calmly, her expression unreadable.
As she turned to leave, she cast Song Yin a brief glance. There was a flicker of cold sharpness in her eyes.
Song Yin suddenly felt a chill run down her spine. She couldn’t understand why a simple server could radiate such a suffocating presence.
Shen Qiaoyi kept holding onto Lu Zhiyuan’s arm until the glass in her hand tilted slightly and red wine sloshed near the rim. Only then did she slowly release her grip.
She pulled a tissue from her small bag and gently wiped up the spilled wine.
Lu Zhiyuan lowered her eyes and followed the movement of her pale fingers, then glanced at the curve of her cheek.
Her collarbone traced a soft line beneath her neck, and the side of her face had a delicate slope, like a bold ink brushstroke in a watercolor painting. It was captivating.
“All clean now.” Shen Qiaoyi raised her head slightly. Her puffed cheeks made her look adorably like a squirrel.
Lu Zhiyuan quickly turned her gaze away, looking a little uncomfortable. “Thank you.”
“It should be me thanking you.” Shen Qiaoyi carefully folded the tissue and looked at her with bright eyes. “Just now, you really helped me out.”
Lu Zhiyuan lowered her gaze again. Her voice was cool and neutral. “Was that your Alpha?”
“Of course not.” Shen Qiaoyi immediately waved her hand in denial. “I’d never like someone like her.”
Lu Zhiyuan might have smiled, but she pressed her lips together too quickly. By the time Shen Qiaoyi looked up, her face was back to calm and distant.
“Zhiyuan, do you work here part-time?”
Lu Zhiyuan paused. “What did you just call me?”
Shen Qiaoyi’s ears turned red as she remembered last night. “Last night, when you covered me with your jacket, I saw your name tag.”
Lu Zhiyuan suddenly understood. She thought about correcting her with her real name, but after being betrayed so many times by her stepmother, she remained cautious with strangers and chose to change the subject.
“Which room are you in? Are you here with friends?”
“Room 304. It’s a company gathering, I guess.”
Shen Qiaoyi stared at Lu Zhiyuan without blinking. This Alpha completely matched her taste.
Before she entered this novel’s world, she had come from a wealthy background and often attended all kinds of banquets with her father.
But none of the actresses she had ever seen could compare to Zhiyuan, not even a little.
“Yiyi…”
Zheng Siya’s voice called from down the hallway. She had probably noticed how long Shen Qiaoyi had been gone and came looking for her.
Lu Zhiyuan smiled faintly. “Your friend is looking for you. I’ll go now.”
“Wait…”
Shen Qiaoyi was about to ask if she could get her WeChat, but Lu Zhiyuan had already turned and disappeared down the hallway.
“Yiyi!”
Zheng Siya bounced over to her. Just in time, she caught a glimpse of the tall figure walking away. She grinned and nudged her with a teasing smile. “Not bad, Shen Qiaoyi. Flirting with a pretty lady already?”
“I wasn’t flirting. She works here.”
Shen Qiaoyi’s lashes fluttered, as if trying to hide something. Her ears turned red.
Luckily, the lighting was dim enough that it went unnoticed.
“I told you, the Alpha girls here are all top-tier,” Zheng Siya said, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and clicking her tongue. “Even the back view is stunning. I bet the face is even better.”
Shen Qiaoyi turned her head and narrowed her eyes protectively. “You like her?”
Zheng Siya froze. “What?”
“I thought you were into that lounge singer Gina. Perfect. We should get memberships here. You go after your singer, and I’ll go after my server.”
Zheng Siya blinked. “How do you know about Gina?”
Shen Qiaoyi winked. “I transmigrated here, remember? I know everything about you. But Gina’s bad news. She’s not your true Alpha. You should give up before you get your heart broken.”
Shen Qiaoyi’s tone was half-serious, half-playful. Zheng Siya rolled her eyes at her and huffed, “Shen Qiaoyi, are you getting back at me? You used to nag me about breaking up with Song Yin, and now you’re trying to sabotage me and my little Gina.”
Shen Qiaoyi shook her head and laughed. Zheng Siya was clearly deep in love and wouldn’t take her advice seriously.
But she wasn’t worried. In the original novel, Siya had her own pairing. The author didn’t even bother to name the character, but their ending was a happy one. Besides, with Siya’s bold personality, even if she broke up, the one getting hurt would never be her.
“Siya, it’s getting late. Let’s say goodbye to the director and head back.”
Zheng Siya buried her face in Shen Qiaoyi’s shoulder and mumbled, “Alright. You go ahead first. I need a proper goodbye kiss with my Gina.”
Shen Qiaoyi pushed her away with a look of mild disgust. “Be at the parking lot within thirty minutes. I’m not waiting if you’re late.”
“Got it.”
Zheng Siya took out her compact mirror, pressed away the smudged eyeliner with her fingertip, and cooed in an overly sweet voice, “Babe, wait for me.”
Shen Qiaoyi let out a helpless smile and turned to head toward the private rooms upstairs.
It was her first time at Wu Jiu, and after taking a turn past the elevator, she found herself lost.
Just as she was about to ask a staff member for directions, she heard the hurried clack of high heels and a familiar voice.
“Did you bring what I asked for?”
It was He Yu.
Shen Qiaoyi froze, then instinctively ducked into a hidden corner on the right.
Footsteps circled around briefly, as if checking whether the hallway was empty.
Once the coast was clear, He Yu spoke again.
“Are you sure not even a suppressant can stop it?”
“Come on, Sister He. Don’t you trust your little Monkey? I got this stuff off the underground market. One touch, and forget just Omegas—even Betas who can’t smell pheromones won’t be able to resist. You just wait and check tomorrow’s headlines.”
Shen Qiaoyi stared, stunned. What kind of drug was this?
After a pause, He Yu’s voice lowered, clearly uncertain. “What if we get caught?”
“Relax. This came from overseas. It metabolizes fast. There won’t be any traces left behind.”
Unable to hold back her curiosity, Shen Qiaoyi peeked out. She saw a tall, broad-shouldered male Alpha hand He Yu a small packet of white pills.
He Yu held it up, examined it, then sneered coldly. “Shen Qiaoyi, this stuff cost a fortune. You better appreciate it.”
Shen Qiaoyi blinked. Was this really happening? She was the one being targeted.
He Yu continued. “What about the people I asked you to arrange?”
The Alpha grinned in a disgusting way. “Already waiting at the hotel. Three Alphas, all strong and capable. I guarantee they’ll leave her… satisfied.”
“But they haven’t seen Shen Qiaoyi before. How will they know who to grab?”
“She’s wearing a long red dress, right? Don’t worry, Sister He. I took a photo of her when she came in and sent it to Little Bai. He’s already waiting by the club entrance. Once the party’s over, he’ll take her straight to the hotel. I’ve even prepped the place. The cameras are top-tier and ultra-high-definition. The footage will be stunning.”
He Yu finally let out a satisfied laugh. “Shen Qiaoyi, once the three Alphas take turns marking you, let’s see if Song Yin still wants you.”
The two of them murmured a few more words before heading off in different directions.
Shen Qiaoyi remained in the corner, her red lips slowly curving upward.
How fitting.
A brainless, low-IQ villain straight out of a third-rate soap opera.
She had only been in this world for a few days, and this was already her third or fourth time being drugged.
The author clearly had no plot skills and spent all their time writing smut scenes.
Thoughts raced through her head as her smile deepened.
You want to set her up?
Fine. She would show them what it meant to get crushed by their own trap.
