After Marking the Villain Professor (ABO, GL) - Chapter 11
Chapter 11
Since leaving the warehouse, Zhou Yutao had been staring at Xu Man.
Xu Man felt a chill run down her spine under her gaze, her mind involuntarily recalling Chen Xing’s miserable state earlier. She couldn’t help but speak up first, “Wha… what’s wrong?”
Even though they had been intimate, at her core, Xu Man was still afraid of Zhou Yutao.
The titles of professor and major antagonist made it impossible for someone like her, originally just an ordinary female college student, not to be afraid.
However, things were slightly better now.
Zhou Yutao held the knife she had taken from Xu Yi, waving it twice in the air nonchalantly and said, “I heard that Boss Xu used to like alphas and even wanted to use drugs to turn into an Omega. I remember there’s no such drug on the market yet.”
Xu Man instinctively shrank her neck, gripped by the illusion that if she said something wrong, that knife would come down on her. Perhaps it wasn’t an illusion.
“No such thing. I think I’m fine as I am now. I’m very satisfied, haha,” she said with a forced smile.
“Is that so?”
Zhou Yutao put the knife away. “I was going to say, I recently developed a drug that can turn an alpha into an Omega or an Omega into an alpha. If Boss Xu needs it, I can give it to you for free. It just has some side effects.”
Xu Man shook her head repeatedly but asked curiously, “What side effects?”
In the novel, it was only mentioned that Zhou Yutao suffered from pheromone disorders for years, so she developed this drug. At this point, with the apocalypse just beginning, she hadn’t fully perfected it yet.
But the book never mentioned any side effects.
Xu Man was genuinely curious.
“It causes impotence and turns you into an ugly monster. So, Boss Xu, want to try it?” Zhou Yutao said with a smile that didn’t reach her eyes.
Xu Man involuntarily took a step back. “No, I won’t try it.”
Remembering that Zhou Yutao had developed this drug for herself, she quickly added, “Yutao, can you not use this drug?”
Although the novel didn’t explicitly state the reason for Zhou Yutao’s descent into darkness, many readers speculated that her drastic personality change was closely tied to this drug.
Zhou Yutao paused, her gaze toward Xu Man carrying a hint of scrutiny.
How did she know I was planning to use this drug? A coincidence?
As the two talked, Xu Si and the others, who had thrown Chen Xing and his group out of the supermarket, approached.
Their faces were grave. “Madam Boss, Boss, the situation outside is worse than we thought.”
Xu Man and Zhou Yutao immediately turned to them.
Xu Si continued, “The zombies wandering around aren’t just increasing in number, but there’s also a group targeting our supermarket. Right after we threw Chen Xing and those guys out, we heard gunshots. To save themselves, Chen Xing and Chen Wang sold us out.”
“Fortunately, fog is starting to set in, and that group doesn’t dare act recklessly for now. But it probably won’t last long. Once the fog clears, they’ll definitely storm in.”
“Madam Boss, Boss, we need to plan early. They outnumber us.”
The other side had about a dozen people, each armed with guns. Xu Si instinctively forgot about the people in the warehouse.
In his eyes, those powerless students had no combat ability whatsoever.
Xu Man was stunned.
She wondered if, by changing the plot and throwing out the male lead, she had caused these outlaws to target them first.
She remembered that when this group came to the school, they didn’t just kill zombies—anyone deemed useless would also die.
Moreover, this group was skilled and armed with guns. They definitely couldn’t be confronted head-on.
Lost in thought, Xu Man didn’t respond to Xu Si.
Zhou Yutao glanced at her and asked, “What was your plan before?”
Xu Man snapped back to reality and answered honestly, “Originally, we thought it was more dangerous outside, so we planned to stay here for a while and wait for the right time to head to South City.”
She remembered that once South City’s safe base was mostly established, the military would start rescuing survivors and clearing zombies along the way.
If they could hold out until then and go to South City, things would be much better. It was too chaotic outside now.
Zhou Yutao nodded and said, “We can’t stay here anymore. Once the fog clears a bit, prepare to leave. We’ll go to my place first, then to South City. Is there a car?”
Her basement held many valuable potions, as well as the 5200g of gold Xu Man had given her.
Most importantly, that place was much safer than this supermarket. It was hard for people or zombies to find.
From the start, Zhou Yutao had planned to return there. But when she heard the students she was with mention going to the supermarket for food and thought Xu Man might be trapped, she came along.
Her initial plan was to take Xu Man with her, but who knew this woman wasn’t ordinary either and had already prepared.
Was this Xu the Xu she had in mind?
Xu Si immediately said, “Yes, it’s parked in the garage, less than ten meters from the supermarket. It’s in a hidden spot, unlikely to be found by others.”
Zhou Yutao said, “Good. Xu Si, go to the warehouse and ask if anyone wants to come with us.”
“Have Xu Yi and Xu Er stop guarding the door. From now on, everyone takes turns resting. Keep two people watching the weather outside. If anything seems off, be ready to leave immediately.”
Her subordinates followed her orders.
Zhou Yutao arranged everything methodically. Xu Man just listened, barely able to interject, as she felt Zhou Yutao’s plan was sound.
Xu Si soon returned, saying eight people were willing to go with them, while the rest didn’t want to abandon the supermarket’s food.
Zhou Yutao didn’t force them.
It was their choice, after all.
She only had Xu Si ask because of their teacher-student bond.
The fog outside grew thicker, making it nearly impossible to see anything.
For a moment, both inside and outside the supermarket were eerily quiet, with only the sound of some people’s overly nervous heartbeats audible.
What no one expected was that the group outside, in their madness, would charge into the supermarket despite the thick fog and the risk of being surrounded by zombies.
Leading them was a burly middle-aged male alpha with several scars on his face, whom everyone called Scar Brother.
He had a sister, an Omega, whose appearance rivaled Scar Brother’s, with a face full of flesh. Together, the siblings probably weighed five hundred pounds.
It was said that alphas and Omegas were supposed to be superior, either handsome or beautiful, but for the siblings to look like this was quite a feat.
Upon entering the supermarket, Scar Brother was first shocked by the intact stock, then completely captivated by Zhou Yutao’s beauty.
His sister, meanwhile, had her eyes on Xu Man. She tugged at Scar Brother and pointed at Xu Man, “Brother, I want that female alpha.”
Xu Man: “…”.
She shrank behind Zhou Yutao in fear.
Scar Brother grinned, “Fine. That female alpha is yours. The other two Omegas are mine.”
Hearing Scar Brother’s utterly disgusting words, Xu Man, though scared, stepped forward, “They’re off-limits. If you have a problem, come at me.”
Zhou Yutao looked at the back of Xu Man’s head, her lips curling slightly.
It was said that true heroes didn’t need to be overwhelmingly powerful—just brave enough to face what scared them.
This timid alpha had just become her hero for once.
But who dared to covet her alpha? Zhou Yutao’s cold, arrogant gaze swept over Scar Sister’s bulky frame, and she let out a soft scoff.
Scar Sister instantly felt insulted and flew into a rage, “Brother, I don’t care. I want that Omega dead.”
Any Omega prettier than her or connected to the alpha she wanted had to die.
They had already killed plenty of such people along the way.
