After Marking the Villain Professor (ABO, GL) - Chapter 64
Chapter 64
Everyone returned to the vehicles and drove a long distance, leaving the city behind and finally shaking off the relentless horde of zombies. They were temporarily safe. It was five in the morning, and everyone was utterly exhausted. Zhou Yutao ordered the convoy to stop for a rest.
“That scared the hell out of me,” Tan Juan kept saying. “It’s been so long since the apocalypse started, but this is the first time I’ve faced so many ferocious zombies.”
“If we’d stayed any longer, our vehicle wouldn’t have held up.”
“Thank goodness we made it out.”
“Is anyone hurt?”
The more unsteady Tan Juan’s emotions became, the more she talked to distract herself.
“Hey, where’s Manman?” she said, suddenly noticing two people missing from the vehicle. “Don’t tell me they snuck upstairs to make out again?”
“Seriously, how can they be so lovey-dovey and ditch their friends? I was fine with them running off earlier, but now they’re still in the mood for that? That’s too much. I’m going up there to give her a piece of my mind.”
As she spoke, Tan Juan started heading toward the upper level.
Lin Sha couldn’t stand it and had to speak up. “Boss Xu has quite a few injuries, and Yutao is tending to her. Miss Big Banana, I suggest you don’t go up there.”
After all, some of the wounds were in rather awkward places. Given Xu Man’s shy nature and Zhou Yutao’s possessiveness, they definitely wouldn’t want Tan Juan, an Omega, to see. Otherwise, Zhou Yutao wouldn’t have taken her upstairs to treat her wounds.
Tan Juan stopped immediately and chuckled. “I was just kidding. How could Manman be that irresponsible? So she’s injured. Alright, I forgive her.”
“Oh, I think I’m hurt too. I’m going to rest for a bit.”
It was her first time facing so many zombies, and in that chaos, she hadn’t noticed what was happening with Xu Man. If Qi Lin hadn’t helped her, she’d have been swallowed by the zombie horde. So, she hadn’t realized Xu Man was injured.
Tan Juan had a small scrape on the back of her hand, caused by her own carelessness when she scrambled back to the vehicle. Truth be told, Qi Lin’s injuries were worse than hers.
But Lin Sha didn’t bother calling her out and went to help bandage the others who were injured.
This time, many people were hurt, especially Zheng Rong, Xu Liu, and Xu Er, who were barely able to move. It would likely take months for them to recover. The only silver lining was that no one had been infected with the zombie virus.
Upstairs, Xu Man could hear Tan Juan’s voice from below. She had multiple injuries—her back, arms, buttocks, and thighs, with the knife wounds on her thigh and back being the most severe. When Zhou Yutao treated her wounds, she had asked Xu Man to remove all her clothes.
Xu Man was genuinely worried that Big Banana might barge in without a care. The pain from her wounds had already eased, but now she felt uneasy all over again.
Zhou Yutao finished wrapping the last bandage around Xu Man’s leg wound and noticed her face suddenly pale. She softened her touch.
“Does it hurt a lot? This is what you get for not listening to me.”
“Next time you do this, I’ll make it hurt even more.”
Her words were unforgiving. Earlier, Xu Man had already been scolded. If she hadn’t cried out in pain while Zhou Yutao was treating her wounds, the reprimand would’ve been harsher.
Even so, Xu Man had no regrets. No matter how many injuries she sustained, she would protect Zhou Yutao at all costs.
But Xu Man also noticed something: whenever she showed she was in pain, Zhou Yutao, even with a cold expression, would soften a bit. She even let Xu Man smell more of her pheromones when she asked.
This small advantage gave the usually “obedient” Xu Man a bit of cunning.
“It hurts so much, Sister. My wounds hurt so much,” Xu Man said, her eyes red as she looked at Zhou Yutao.
She exaggerated her discomfort tenfold. Forgetting she was completely bare, she looked like a pitiful, abused creature, her wounds adding a tortured beauty that made one want to do even crueller things to her.
This perfectly matched Zhou Yutao’s peculiar taste. In some ways, she wanted complete control over her alpha.
Her heart trembled fiercely. She almost couldn’t resist pulling out a small whip to add more red marks to that snowy skin.
No, not now. Manman’s injuries were already severe. There would be plenty of chances later.
Zhou Yutao restrained her unspoken urge and released more pheromones. “Feeling better?”
For an alpha and Omega with an intimate bond, their pheromones could soothe each other. Even if they couldn’t truly relieve pain, they could distract from it. Zhou Yutao’s healing methods were always intense, and when Xu Man had cried out in pain earlier, she’d used her pheromones to comfort her, which had worked well.
Xu Man didn’t notice the danger in Zhou Yutao’s eyes, and Zhou Yutao didn’t see the triumphant smirk on Xu Man’s lips.
“It’s better,” Xu Man said.
“Sister, can you kiss me?”
Xu Man was learning to push her luck. The overwhelming peach-scented pheromones had drawn out her own, and under their influence, her desires grew.
Xu Man desperately wanted to be close to Zhou Yutao. Earlier, when she thought she’d be devoured by the zombie horde, she wasn’t afraid of death—only regretful that she couldn’t stay by Zhou Yutao’s side.
The danger in Zhou Yutao’s eyes deepened. She glanced at the little alpha lying on the blanket, brazenly tempting her, and her fists clenched and unclenched.
“Fine,” she said, her voice slightly hoarse.
Xu Man instantly forgot her pain, her eyes shining as she stared at Zhou Yutao.
Her girlfriend was amazing. Just by acting a little hurt—no, the wounds did actually hurt a bit—and her girlfriend gave her everything she wanted.
Zhou Yutao lowered her gaze, her words laced with meaning. “But Manman, from now on, you have to listen to me.”
Let her do as she pleased. The alpha had been too inexperienced before, and Zhou Yutao hadn’t been able to do many things she wanted. Since this one had offered herself up, she’d enjoy it thoroughly.
Xu Man thought Zhou Yutao was referring to her disobedience this time and didn’t catch the deeper meaning. While happy, she also felt a bit guilty.
“Sorry, Sister. I just didn’t want to see you get hurt. I didn’t mean to disobey you.”
“Even if it happens again, I’d still do it.”
“But other than that, I’ll listen to you in everything.”
Xu Man chose to voice her true feelings.
Zhou Yutao narrowed her eyes slightly. “Very well. Then no kissing now. Until your wounds are fully healed, you’re not allowed to kiss me, so your wounds don’t hurt.”
She’d teach her a lesson.
Xu Man: “…Sister, I’m already fine. It doesn’t hurt at all.”
What? She’d agreed just moments ago, and now, not even two minutes later, she’d changed her mind? Waiting for her wounds to fully heal would take months. Months without kissing the person she loved—how lonely and cold would that be? She could’ve endured it before she knew what it was like, but now, how could she bear it?
“Oh? It doesn’t hurt?” Zhou Yutao’s expression darkened. “So, Manman, were you lying to me earlier?”
She was making progress, learning to manipulate her sympathy.
Xu Man hadn’t expected Zhou Yutao to catch on so quickly. Feeling the sweet peach scent in the air fading, she wished she could bury herself. “Actually, it does hurt a little… I didn’t mean to lie, Sister, I…”
It really did hurt a bit. She hadn’t meant to deceive, just wanted a kiss from her girlfriend. Besides, it wasn’t really lying—just a little couple’s flirtation.
Xu Man tried, clumsily, to explain.
“Fine, a kiss then.”
A sigh came by her ear, and something warm and soft, carrying a faint peach scent, touched the back of her neck.
Zhou Yutao had kissed her.
She’d kissed her after all.
It was brief, not as passionate as their past kisses, but it stirred Xu Man’s heart deeply. All she could think was how wonderful her girlfriend was.
Xu Man was so moved she didn’t know what to say.
But as Zhou Yutao’s lips moved downward, her voice came again, cold and fierce. “If Manman doesn’t listen to me, I can’t help it. Next time, I’ll just spank your butt raw.”
As she spoke, she gave Xu Man a heavy smack.
The area was already injured, and the pain was unimaginable.
Xu Man froze, her racing heart stopping for a moment.
Help—how could Zhou Yutao, with her angelic face, say something so outrageous? Xu Man thought she only said bold things during intimate moments.
Xu Man didn’t know how to respond and buried her red face in the blanket.
But Zhou Yutao wasn’t letting her off easily. She smacked her again, hard. “Didn’t you hear me, Manman? Speak.”
Xu Man had no choice but to lift her head. “I understand, Sister.”
So, please, no more smacking.
She knew Zhou Yutao was capable of following through. If anyone—especially Big Banana—found out her butt had been spanked raw by Zhou Yutao, she’d die of embarrassment.
Xu Man finally behaved.
Zhou Yutao’s lips curved, and she continued kissing the back of Xu Man’s neck, lavishing extra attention on the skin that released her pheromones. She was, admittedly, skilled at handling Xu Man.
In just a few minutes, Xu Man’s emotions had been on a rollercoaster, swinging up and down. Before she could process anything, she was captivated by Zhou Yutao’s pheromones again, forgetting the pain of her wounds.
“Sleep,” Zhou Yutao whispered softly.
No matter how reluctant Xu Man was, she closed her eyes. She was exhausted, and the medicine’s pain-relieving and sedative effects soon lulled her to sleep.
Zhou Yutao covered her with a thin blanket and went downstairs.
Qi Rui had been waiting for a while. “Professor Zhou, three people are asking for our help.”
“Who are they?”
“One of them you know. His name is Zeng Zhu.”
Zeng Zhu? Zhou Yutao thought for a long time before recalling him. Before the apocalypse, he was her blind date. After the apocalypse, she’d driven him away.
She hadn’t expected Zeng Zhu to still be alive, let alone make it here on his own. That was intriguing.
After a moment’s thought, Zhou Yutao said, “Since they’ve come to us, let’s meet them.”
“Oh, and go to another vehicle. Manman is resting—don’t wake her.”
Before Qi Rui left, Zhou Yutao added this. The others present took the hint and followed her to another vehicle.
