After Retirement, Living a Stud Life in Another World - 18
Chapter 18: Sister’s Homecoming
As summer was coming to an end, I turned fourteen. I had become accustomed to school, getting along well with Klaus and Dieter, engaging in typical teenage boy banter. Occasionally, I would be abducted by Gretel and forced to indulge in sweets, which was a usual occurrence.
Since joining the military engineering unit, Liese sister had been living in the dorms. Despite being a newcomer, she had polished her Water Cutter technique, and her evaluation within the unit had skyrocketed. Today, after a month, she had obtained permission to return to the count’s mansion, and everyone was a little excited from the morning—especially my mother. Even though she should be busy with military duties, today, she had taken a paid leave and was fully immersed in preparations.
“I’m torn about what to feed Liese. Since she’s coming back, I want to prepare something delicious…”
“Calm down, Hilda. It’s fine not to do anything special. I think she’d be happy with her favorite lamb sauté; Achim has gone to buy it, so don’t worry.”
Indeed, at times like this, my mother was like a girl… and my father was like the gentle sunlight enveloping her. I wondered if there was such a peaceful future for me too. Well, in this world, being welcomed as a ‘son-in-law’ seemed quite challenging, but who knows?
“Mom, Dad, I’m home!”
Amidst the hustle and bustle, my sister had returned. Perhaps because she was wearing the military uniform, she seemed a bit more mature than before, even in the short time I hadn’t seen her. And there was confidence overflowing in her expression… for some reason, since that graduation party, she had become quite cool, almost like a different person.
“Liese!”
My mother, who ran over, suddenly hugged her tightly.
“Have you been eating properly? Has any senior been mean to you? If the training is too tough, just let me know…”
“I’m fine, Mom. As you can see, I’m healthy both physically and mentally! Some people say things, but I don’t mind… after all, I am the daughter of a hero!”
“You’ve become stronger. I look forward to the day we can work together.”
Checking the strong light in Liese’s eyes, my mother seemed to feel a little relieved.
“Now, Liese, Hilda. Tea is ready. There’s probably a lot to talk about, but let’s moisten our throats first.”
As always, my father gracefully concluded the situation with adult-like behavior.

“That’s how it is. It seems that Sieg will finally start his stud activities.”
“So, today he’s staying over at the Cassel Viscount’s house. It’s a shame we can’t see him.”
The topic during the tea session was unusually about my brother Sieg, who wasn’t at home. Having excelled in the ‘Baptism’ two years ago, my brother had received multiple applications, despite the high fee of a hundred gold coins per night. With his sixteenth birthday last week, he had decided to select a partner while accommodating their preferences.
“That boy will surely become an A-rank stud in the future. He resembles Albrecht and is handsome, so for a while, he’ll be able to choose a good partner… and ultimately, aiming for S-rank is not just a dream.”
“Yes, Sieg’s coolness comes from his father’s bl00d.”
“Hahaha, if you say such things, I’ll feel embarrassed.”
While everyone enjoyed the tea and smiled, the conversation was quite sensitive. I could only pray that this topic wouldn’t lead to me.
“By the way, in another month, Lutz, the partner of your ‘Baptism,’ will give birth.”
Uh, it’s coming this way after all… please spare me.
“Lutz was hesitant, but… are you ready to be a ‘stud’?”
“No, I’m still…”
“Hey, I have a feeling that Lutz has a bit of an unusual ethical perspective. I’m sure his way of thinking isn’t entirely wrong. But, you know, Liese understands it… You, Lutz, have excellent qualities as a stud. I want you to use that and broaden your path in life.”
“Yeah, logically, I get it, but…”
“Lutz taught me a way to utilize my magic power, which was not appreciated. He pushed my back when I had given up, giving me another chance to fulfill my wish. It’s sad to see someone like you, overflowing with talent, not utilizing it.”
I thought she was teasing me, but Liese’s gaze as she advocated for me to become a stud was genuinely serious. She was genuinely concerned about my life. However, I had a little doubt.
“Hey, sis. I appreciate the advice, but how do you know I have the talent to be a ‘stud’? The results of the ‘Baptism’ haven’t come out yet.”
In response to my question, Liese rummaged through her bag as if she had been waiting for it, and then she casually placed a thin book with a green cover on the table.
“It’s this!”
“What is this? ‘Underground Stud Book’?”
Hey, what’s with the ‘underground’?
