After Retirement, Living a Stud Life in Another World - 131
Chapter 131: The Esteemed Horse Takes Shelter
“Good job, Lutz. You no longer need to visit the Prime Minister’s residence.”
Beato said this to me after spending three consecutive passionate nights at the Marquis’s residence. It happened after lunch with Gretel, when we leisurely visited the royal palace.
“Uh, so does that mean…”
“That’s exactly what it means.”
*Sigh*. As always, Beato was short on words when it came to family matters. Perhaps I looked a little dissatisfied, thinking about such things. Beato loosened her doll-like lips slightly and raised her right hand. The large door in the direction of her gaze slowly opened, revealing Miss Adelheid dressed in the uniform of a palace bureaucrat.
“I present myself to Her Royal Highness the Princess and His Lordship the Marquis.”
Her uniform wasn’t the dress type for women but the jacket-pants style for men… of course, that’s the way it is for the Oizumi type. Naturally, there was no curtsy; the right hand of a male aristocrat goes to the chest, the left hand to the side… greeting with a bow and scrape, it looked surprisingly cool. And the voice that came from her crisp male appearance felt unbalanced yet alluring.
“Yes, we were just discussing Adel.”
“It is an honor. Today, I have been appointed as an assistant secretary to Her Royal Highness Beatrix. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Lord Stuttgart.”
“Adel will now be living here in the royal palace. The carriage to transport her belongings to the Eisenberg residence should be arriving around this time. There will surely be quite a commotion. After all, this personnel change was announced by my mother to the Prime Minister just before noon today.”
Oh boy, that was quite an unexpected announcement. Let’s hope this doesn’t earn me any more grudges… Well, the Prime Minister was already a clear opponent of Beato, so it’s too late to be resented now.
But rather than that, the talent Beato had been longing for has finally arrived, so I should thank her.
“I see… Adelheid, thank you for being willing to serve and assist Beato. But if we’re going to be spending time together frequently from now on, could you call me a little more casually? Just ‘Lutz’ is fine.”
“Yes, in private settings, I will address you as ‘Lutz.’ Please feel free to call me ‘Adel.'”
I see, Adel… the sound of it is so lovely.
“Normally, Adelheid’s nickname would be Heidi…”
“That was the name my family used to call me. However, I have decided to walk a different path from them. I would like to be addressed by different names by Beato-sama and Lutz-sama.”
To Beato’s probing, Adelheid… Adel responded earnestly. I see, she made the resolve to leave her family and join Beato’s faction.
“Well then, Adel. I’m glad you’re here…”
“Yes, I’ve learned from Lutz-sama that being with a man is a wonderful thing. This is my loss in our bet.”
With her cheeks slightly tinted pink and her lips loosened, my heart throbbed strongly. And gradually, a feeling of accomplishment, of conquest, filled my heart. I had fulfilled Beato and Adel’s expectations.
“Well, I was presented with some difficult conditions upon appointment… but since Adel said she would come today as long as I fulfilled them, I accepted without hesitation.”
“Difficult conditions?”
“One of them, Lutz can probably guess. It’s recognizing Lutz as my unofficial lover and allowing occasional liaisons.”
Ah, so it has come to that. Well, it was a condition under the premise of “understanding the goodness of a man” and if so, it’s not unreasonable to reward that “good man” with loyalty. As long as that “good man” isn’t me.
Well, impregnation is Beato’s exclusive prerogative, and if I’m told to do it, I have no choice but to do it… No, to be honest, that aspect with her adds just the right amount of perversion and exquisite spice; it’s quite enjoyable. If there’s a request for it, I’m confident I’d gladly oblige.
In that case, I’m glad I don’t have to be called Heidi. That name inevitably brings to mind that loud, cheeky kid with a red circle on their cheek from that ancient anime. If I were to serve the First Princess, I might blurt out something like, “Clara’s standing!” every time. If I kept remembering that face every time her name was mentioned, it would dampen my mood, and I might not be able to fulfill the lover’s purpose. I’m not Peter-kun, after all.
“Yeah, I get it… So, there’s a second condition too, right?”
As I casually brought up the second condition, her fair cheeks suddenly flushed crimson. What’s with this intense reaction?
“Um, well… about that…”
The usually articulate Beato was unusually vague in her words. Clearly, this wasn’t about Adel’s treatment but some condition imposed on Beato herself… she had swallowed it up. But why was Beato, usually so composed, so embarrassed now? What on earth did she promise?
“Sorry, it’s too embarrassing to say. Let’s wait until after the wedding…”
In the end, I couldn’t get the truth out of Beato. It’s kind of frustrating, you know?
