After Swapping Bodies with the Movie Queen, She Ended Up with Me (GL) - Chapter 1
In the dimly lit underground parking lot, Rong Qing was pinned firmly against the backseat of the car by the person on top of her, their familiar scent invading her nostrils as an insistent, angry tongue robbed her of what little breath she had left.
She never would have imagined that one day, she’d be forced to kiss her own body.
“Mmm…”
Her lip was accidentally bitten, bl00d instantly spreading between them. Wincing, Rong Qing pushed the person away, only for them to click their tongue in annoyance at the sight of her injured lip.
“Why hasn’t it switched back yet?” The person before her gripped her chin, frustration evident. “Miss Rong, I’m afraid we’ll have to try again.”
With that, they kissed her once more. Rong Qing’s eyes widened as Mu Lingwan—not content with just holding her chin—pressed closer, her full figure flush against Rong Qing’s arm. Sweat dampened Rong Qing’s palms as she hesitantly rested her hands on Mu Lingwan’s waist.
Two weeks ago…
Rong Qing had taken on a side gig as a stunt double, standing in for a pregnant actress in a water scene. The lead actress opposite her? None other than Mu Lingwan, the A-list superstar.
At 26, Mu Lingwan had been a household name since her debut at 14, starring in countless films and dramas. Now, she was the undisputed queen of the industry, and Spring Blossoms, Autumn Harvest—a lavish period revenge drama—had been tailor-made for her. The story followed a noblewoman’s fall from grace, her exile, and her rise through the military ranks to ultimate vengeance and the throne.
Rong Qing’s role? A minor antagonist’s double, meant to endure a whipping and drowning at Mu Lingwan’s hands.
But then came the accident.
In the chaos of the scene, Rong Qing had pulled Mu Lingwan into the water with her. When she woke in the hospital, she discovered the impossible—she and the superstar had swapped bodies.
Even now, Rong Qing could vividly recall Mu Lingwan’s stunned expression in her own face, as if she’d seen a ghost.
Honestly? Rong Qing felt like one too.
How had this even happened? And now, of all times? This was a disaster…
As the second kiss ended, Mu Lingwan pulled back, glaring at her unchanged reflection. “Miss Rong, were you distracted just now?”
Rong Qing shook her head quickly. “No, I just…” Maybe a little.
Mu Lingwan slumped back into her seat, arms crossed, brows furrowed. With a look of distaste, she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand—only to pause at the smear of bl00d. After a beat, she wordlessly handed Rong Qing a tissue.
“Clean yourself up,” she muttered.
“…Thanks.” Rong Qing dabbed at her lip, catching a glimpse of the injury in the car window’s reflection. Mu Lingwan had kissed her with such force, it was like she wanted to devour her.
Sighing inwardly, Rong Qing studied the reflection—Mu Lingwan, trapped in her body, radiating impatience. She understood. Time was running out.
Ever since the two had swapped bodies, Mu Lingwan had tried every possible method to reverse it—returning to the film set where they’d soaked in water together for hours, sleeping in the same bed, consulting fortune tellers—until today, when she suddenly dragged her into a car and pinned her down for a kiss.
She was truly putting in the effort.
Rong Qing clutched a tissue and glanced back at Mu Lingwan, noticing the unfamiliar woman still seemed angry. Softly, she said, “Miss Mu, this method doesn’t seem to work either.”
Mu Lingwan turned and stared at Rong Qing intently before suddenly grabbing her wrist and pulling her close. “I refuse to believe this won’t work. Let’s try again.”
Before Rong Qing could refuse, Mu Lingwan had already pulled her in for their third kiss…
With a smack, agent Zhou Ying slammed a stack of photos onto the coffee table, glaring at the two women seated across from her. “Of all the places to kiss, you chose an underground parking lot? Did you even realize there were paparazzi right across from you? They photographed every second!”
Rong Qing was startled. She looked at the photos—each one capturing her and Mu Lingwan kissing in the parking lot the night before.
High-definition, uncensored, and zoomable.
One even showed Mu Lingwan—wearing Rong Qing’s face—sliding her tongue into her mouth. The moment Rong Qing saw it, her vision darkened.
Mu Lingwan frowned as well, leaning back on the sofa with a grim expression. She picked up the photo with the tongue action, scoffed, and remarked, “They got a pretty good shot.”
“You’re laughing?” Zhou Ying was aghast. “My god, have you seen the trending list? You’ve blown up! Everyone’s speculating about the woman you were kissing and demanding an explanation!”
Mu Lingwan frowned. “Can’t we just say we’re friends?”
Zhou Ying shot back, “You kiss your friends?”
Mu Lingwan: “Whether they believe it or not, we really are just friends who just met. Right, Miss Rong?”
When she turned, however, she saw Rong Qing clutching her phone, face deathly pale, as if she’d seen something horrifying. Mu Lingwan leaned over and realized she had opened the trending topics.

Rong Qing’s name was glaringly displayed in the trends, climbing two spots with every refresh. Her notifications and DMs had already hit 99+—she didn’t dare open them.
What was this?
Instant fame?
Overnight stardom?
Her trembling finger hovered over her inbox when suddenly, a call came through—Ava, AG’s manager. She instinctively hung up, only to realize she shouldn’t have. After disappearing from the group post-incident, suddenly trending was bound to raise questions.
Zhou Ying, sharp as any agent, guessed the situation. “Your group’s manager?”
Rong Qing nodded, gripping her phone. “What… should I do now?”
Mu Lingwan studied her for a long moment before signaling to Zhou Ying. “Handle it for her.”
Zhou Ying nodded, took the ringing phone from Rong Qing, and walked over to the floor-to-ceiling window of the villa to talk to the person on the line. Rong Qing watched her nervously and curiously, still feeling uneasy inside.
Compared to her, Mu Lingwan seemed much more composed. She scrolled through the trending hashtag on her phone—#AG Girl Group Member Rong Qing Identified as the Kissing Incident Participant—and read the details about Rong Qing. Come to think of it, she only knew Rong Qing’s name until now, and the rest of the information was actually clearer in the trending posts.
Rong Qing, 21 years old, one of the eleven members of the newly debuted AG Girl Group.
Mu Lingwan raised an eyebrow. No wonder the person in the mirror looked so young—she was only 21. Had she even graduated from university yet? But the entertainment industry was full of young talents who hadn’t finished their education, so even if Rong Qing only had an elementary school diploma, it wouldn’t surprise her.
Zhou Ying seemed to have finished discussing something with the manager. After hanging up, she walked back and handed the phone to Rong Qing, looking at her as she said, “I’ve already explained everything to your manager. You’ll be staying with Lingwan for the time being.”
“For the time being?” Rong Qing took the phone and looked up at Zhou Ying in surprise. “How long will that be? Can I still go back to the group?”
“You probably won’t be able to return to the group for now,” Zhou Ying said, crossing her arms and glancing down at the two of them. “After the incident, all sorts of engagements kept getting postponed. But now that half a month has passed and this scandal has gone viral, some events just can’t be avoided anymore.”
Mu Lingwan looked up at her, frowning slightly. “What do you mean?”
Zhou Ying met her gaze. “You remember the Fashion Night red carpet next week, right? It’s been scheduled for half a year, and the haute couture arrangements are already in place. We’ll need to go for fittings in the next couple of days.”
Mu Lingwan recalled the event—it was one of the industry’s most prestigious galas, featuring an annual awards ceremony. She had always won the Most Popular Award every year, and this year would likely be no exception.
At the thought, she turned to look at Rong Qing, who sat beside her with a blank expression on her own face, completely detached from the situation. Mu Lingwan couldn’t help but frown.
“But I can’t walk the red carpet right now,” Mu Lingwan said, pointing at herself, then at Rong Qing, before looking back at Zhou Ying. “You can’t seriously expect her to go in my place, can you?”
Zhou Ying simply crossed her arms and replied calmly, “Why not?”
Rong Qing & Mu Lingwan: ?
Fashion Night, in collaboration with several of the industry’s most prominent media platforms, had prepared a grand red-carpet event.
Rong Qing sat nervously in the car, dressed in a shimmering pearl-sequined mermaid gown. She had spent the entire day getting styled and made up, treated like a lifeless mannequin from morning till night. Meanwhile, Mu Lingwan stood beside Zhou Ying, wearing a baseball jacket, a black cap, and a face mask, her expression unreadable.
Inside the stretch Lincoln, aside from the driver and manager Zhou Ying separated by the soundproof partition, were Rong Qing and Mu Lingwan, who remained dressed in simple, low-key attire.
“Put on the earpiece,” Mu Lingwan said, handing Rong Qing a white wireless earbud. “We need to stay connected so I can guide you through everything in real time.”
Rong Qing put on her headphones and covered them with her long black hair, making it impossible to tell she was wearing them in photos. On her other exposed ear dangled a sparkling diamond earring—large and dazzling.
It was said that this set of jewelry was worth nearly sixty million on the market and was making its first public appearance.
Rong Qing had never worn such expensive clothes before. Seeing her nervous expression, Zhou Ying smiled gently and reassured her, “Don’t worry. Just follow our instructions—walk the red carpet, pose for photos, sign autographs—and then you can head inside. Just make sure nothing falls off you during that time, because those pieces are so valuable that selling you might not even cover the cost.”
Rong Qing felt her vision darken. “Do I really have to walk this red carpet…?”
Zhou Ying grinned at her. “Yes.”
Rong Qing felt like she should say something more—perhaps her last words—but the car soon came to a stop. Zhou Ying glanced out the window, then leaned forward to grip the door handle. Turning back to Rong Qing, she said, “From this moment on, you are Mu Lingwan.”
With that, she pulled open the car door. In an instant, a barrage of cameras—large and small—swarmed toward them, their flashes so blinding it turned night into day.
