After Swapping Bodies with the Movie Queen, She Ended Up with Me (GL) - Chapter 35
Xia Yiran had no idea that Director Wan had already started simultaneous live broadcasts the very next day. Now, cameras were present in almost all public areas except the restrooms, and her “two-faced” attitude had truly gone viral online.
On one hand, she pretended to be an innocent little rabbit in front of the renowned seniors, while on the other, she bared her fangs in front of her former teammates. The photo of the seven of them having breakfast together that morning had been turned into memes and videos by netizens, making for quite the spectacle.
Look at Shen Nian and Ming Qiao’s expressions—I’m dying of laughter. Ming Qiao’s disgust is practically oozing out.
Â
And Jiang Jiang! She even secretly tugged on Xu Qing’s sleeve. I won’t spell out what that means.
The funniest one has to be Xu Qing. How can she be so earnest? Did she really not notice Xia Yiran was acting? She even played along so well!
Â
“I’ll play along with your performance and pretend not to see” LOLOLOL.
Â
Oh my god, this is hilarious. Everyone knows Xia Yiran is acting except herself.
At that moment, Xia Yiran remained completely unaware. She was preparing to go to the amusement park with the other guests, fully immersed in her role as the “considerate junior.” She proactively prepared water, snacks, and even brought along various recommended items—like a folding stool, trash bags, and tissues.
But when they arrived, Xia Yiran was stunned. What folding stool for resting while waiting in line? The entire amusement park had no visitors except for staff and cameramen—they had completely rented out the place!
Xu Qing dragged Jiang Jiang onto the roller coaster, while Mu Lingwan walked up to Rong Qing and asked if she wanted to join them.
“I don’t dare ride roller coasters,” Rong Qing said.
As if to prove her point, Xu Qing’s loud screams erupted from the roller coaster soaring overhead. Mu Lingwan glanced up at the departing ride and remarked, “You know what? Xu Qing really does have a powerful voice.”
Rong Qing was baffled. Was this really the time to compliment her friend?
When Xu Qing stumbled off the roller coaster, her legs weak, Jiang Jiang helped her out. Mu Lingwan approached with an amused smile. “What’s wrong, Xu Qing? Weren’t you the first one running to get on that ride?”
Xu Qing waved her hand, signaling she didn’t want to talk.
Rong Qing couldn’t help but laugh. “You okay, Xu Qing? If you’re not feeling well, go sit down and rest.”
Mu Lingwan nodded beside her. “Yeah, go take a break.”
Xu Qing found their words oddly grating. Leaning on Jiang Jiang, she muttered, “Are you two doing this on purpose?”
Mu Lingwan burst into laughter.
Unlike the gleeful Mu Lingwan and the others, Ming Qiao and Shen Nian chose the carousel as their first ride. The beautiful, music-box-like carousel moved at a leisurely pace, creating a dreamy atmosphere. Shen Nian immediately pulled out her phone, turned on the camera, and snapped a few selfies—even capturing Ming Qiao, who was sitting on the red horse beside her.
Noticing the movement from the corner of her eye, Ming Qiao turned her head and flashed a peace sign at the camera. Shen Nian clicked the shutter, capturing the image of Ming Qiao smiling at her. Her heart skipped a beat, and she quickly put her phone away.
While everyone else was paired up, Xia Yiran sat alone on a bench in the amusement park with nothing to do.
She couldn’t understand why—just yesterday, everything had been fine, but today, it seemed like no one wanted to hang out with her.
Xu Qing and Jiang Jiang had run off as soon as they entered the park. Ming Qiao barely acknowledged her. Shen Nian had smiled at her before leaving with Ming Qiao. And Xia Yiran had no interest in sticking around with Rong Qing, so after wandering around the park for a while, she ended up sitting here alone.
Bored.
Frustrated.
This wasn’t how she had imagined things would go.
Xia Yiran had always been a solid top-three in the group, with fans swarming around her. When had she ever been ignored like this?
As the distant roller coaster roared past, eliciting waves of screams, Xia Yiran narrowed her eyes slightly and spotted four people in the seats. She had a vague idea of who they were.
She had thought her lively, witty personality would make her the center of attention among the six of them. She had planned to build good relationships, securing connections for her future in the entertainment industry. But who would’ve guessed that none of them wanted anything to do with her?
Just as Xia Yiran was stewing in frustration, her phone rang from inside her pink backpack. She pulled it out and saw that it was a call from Ava, her manager.
“Hello?” Xia Yiran answered. “I’m filming right now. What’s up?”
Ava paused, immediately furrowing her brows.
In the past, though Xia Yiran had been arrogant and domineering in the group, often bullying others, she had at least been sweet-tongued with her manager, always calling her “big sister” and following her around. Ava had usually turned a blind eye to her behavior. But now, after just one day as a guest on a variety show, her tone had completely changed.
Ava’s frown deepened. After a few seconds, she said coldly, “You’re trending.”
Xia Yiran’s eyes lit up. She sat up straight, surprised. “Really? I’m trending? That’s amazing!”
“Amazing?” Ava sneered. “Maybe you should check how you’re trending before deciding whether it’s amazing or not.”
Xia Yiran froze, sensing something off in Ava’s tone. A sudden unease gripped her as she quickly opened the trending list. There, she saw her name at the top—with the hashtag: #XiaYiranFakeSmile#.
Clicking in, she found countless discussions. Aside from a few people asking who Xia Yiran even was, most were mocking her exaggerated acting on the show and the infamous breakfast incident that had become the talk of the town.
Not only did she not make breakfast herself, she didn’t even buy it—and then had the nerve to brag about her assistant running out to get it. What’s there to be proud of?
Â
Her assistant worked hard, but she just sat there taking credit like it was all her own achievement.
Â
This woman’s scheming is written all over her face. I can practically hear the abacus beads clattering.
Â
Even a passerby could see through her intentions!
Xia Yiran’s fingers flew across the screen as she scrolled through the comments, her anger boiling over. She didn’t even notice when Ava hung up, nor did she remember any of the warnings her manager had just given her. In a flash, she shot up from the bench and stormed toward the roller coaster.
Just getting off the roller coaster, Xu Qing stood with hands on her hips, laughing at Mu Lingwan: “Haha, you were mocking me earlier, but look at you now!”
Mu Lingwan clutched her chest, feeling nauseous. The violent shaking during the ride left her dry heaving, unable to vomit properly. She glared at the gloating Xu Qing and flipped her off.
Rong Qing patted her back sympathetically, when her peripheral vision caught sight of Xia Yiran approaching with a dark expression.
Everyone noticed Xia Yiran walking over and exchanged puzzled glances. After hesitating, Xu Qing finally greeted her: “Yiran, are you here for the roller coaster too?”
Ignoring Xu Qing, Xia Yiran marched straight up to Mu Lingwan and raised her hand.
Rong Qing tensed up immediately, stepping protectively behind Mu Lingwan as she demanded: “What do you think you’re doing?!”
Xia Yiran froze. She’d intended to slap the woman hard, but when “Mu Lingwan” suddenly positioned herself in front, her raised hand faltered awkwardly into a fist. She glared at Mu Lingwan and spat: “Rong Qing, this is all your doing, isn’t it?!”
Rong Qing turned back confusedly at Mu Lingwan, who had recovered somewhat. Guessing what this was about, Mu Lingwan straightened up with a long exhale and smiled: “Oh, that’s what this is about? Seen the trending topics?”
Xia Yiran’s pupils dilated as she lunged forward violently!
“You b1tch! I knew you were behind this! You’re trying to ruin me!” Xia Yiran’s frenzied outburst startled everyone. Xu Qing hurriedly restrained her while pleading anxiously: “What’s wrong? What happened? Why are you so angry? Can’t we talk this through?”
Noticing cameras pointing her way, Xia Yiran felt her scalp prickle. Seeing “Rong Qing” standing smugly behind the crowd with arms crossed, rage overwhelmed her—her vision darkened as she collapsed unconscious.
Staff and Xu Qing panicked. Rong Qing’s eyes widened as she rushed to help, but Mu Lingwan grabbed her wrist and pulled her back, whispering: “Why bother? Someone will take her to the hospital.”
Rong Qing stared at her in shock, asking apprehensively: “What did you do?”
“Nothing much,” Mu Lingwan smiled. “Just helped her get famous.”
Soon, an ambulance arrived and took Xia Yiran away, forcing today’s filming to halt prematurely.
At the hospital, Xia Yiran regained consciousness. Staring at the ceiling, she realized her career might be over—the entire internet now knew her two-faced nature. How could she survive in the industry after this?
The more she thought, the more resentful she grew, convinced this was all Rong Qing’s scheme from the start—her approval for joining the project must have been malicious.
“If you show no mercy, don’t blame me for being ruthless,” Xia Yiran’s eyes darkened as she grabbed her phone, logged into Weibo, ignored her flooded notifications, and composed a lengthy post before sending it without hesitation.
Within moments, her explosive tweet trended nationwide for all to see.
On Weibo, Xia Yiran accused Rong Qing of being a malicious woman who ranked last in every aspect of the group. She claimed Rong Qing only climbed up to Mu Lingwan’s favor through cunning schemes, and that she herself had been framed by Rong Qing, leading to the current situation.
Xia Yiran also exposed Rong Qing’s family background, stating her mother was a woman who couldn’t stay faithful, implying that a child born to such a woman couldn’t be any good.
This Weibo post immediately drew crowds of netizens, but within five minutes, a well-known entertainment industry gossip influencer stepped forward, dropping several photos.
The photos showed Xia Yiran dining and drinking with various men and women, along with receipts of her taking people to luxury stores and making them pay. The post was captioned:
“Some people call others ‘no good,’ but have they looked at themselves in the mirror? Knowing you’re the other woman yet still doing it is bad enough, but juggling multiple sugar daddies at once? Turns out AG girl group isn’t performing idol dances—they’re doing the octopus dance!”
