Chapter 14: Touch Me.
Subjectively, Wen Mingzhi felt like she had been waiting forever. The restlessness inside her was pouring out uncontrollably, especially at the thought that little alpha Zhou Tian would be arriving soon. Her rationality felt like it was being gnawed away bit by bit by invisible ants.
The scent of violet pheromones thickened in the room.
She picked up her glass of red wine, sipping one mouthful after another, but no amount could suppress the heat rising in her. Her body temperature continued to climb.
“Looks like we won’t just be drinking tonight.” Wen Mingzhi couldn’t help thinking.
She glanced at the table of carefully prepared appetizers and snacks and felt a bit of regret.
Finally, Zhou Tian arrived. Wen Mingzhi stubbed out her cigarette in the ashtray, stood up, and took two steps toward her.
“You’re here? Come sit.”
“Okay, thank you…” Zhou Tian obediently walked toward her and sat down next to her—though she kept a bit of distance.
The moment she entered the room, she smelled wine and cigarette smoke.
Now, sitting closer to Wen Mingzhi, she could distinctly sense the faint floral scent beneath it—the violet scent of her pheromones.
Wen Mingzhi tilted her alluring phoenix eyes and smiled at her. “Why are you sitting so far away?”
Maybe it was the wine, but her eyes seemed hazy with mist, making her look even more mysterious and seductive.
Zhou Tian murmured an “Mm” and scooted over a little, sitting closer.
But before she was fully settled, Wen Mingzhi hooked her arm around Zhou Tian’s shoulder and pulled her over, closing the distance entirely—the two of them were now pressed together.
Zhou Tian’s mind exploded in fireworks, her heart pounding wildly, like a startled deer crashing in all directions.
Everything she’d planned to say on the way over had been completely forgotten.
Now, she didn’t even know what to say.
Wen Mingzhi’s hot breath brushed against her ear, making Zhou Tian shiver.
“President Wen?” she asked softly, hesitantly.
“Mm? Drink?” Wen Mingzhi blinked—realizing she had lost a bit of control.
She sat up, picked up two wine glasses from the coffee table, and handed one to Zhou Tian.
“Thank you.” Zhou Tian quickly accepted it, her cheeks already flushed.
Her goddess was so close!
“You’re welcome. Eat whatever you’d like,” Wen Mingzhi said with a light smile.
“Okay… okay,” Zhou Tian nodded repeatedly. She glanced at the table, then quickly looked away.
This situation was nothing like what she had imagined.
She thought it would be like last time—drinking and chatting with Wen Mingzhi and her friends. She hadn’t expected to be invited to the Emerald Jade Courtyard… and into the bedroom, no less…
Whatever thought passed through her mind made her cheeks turn even redder.
She sneaked a glance at Wen Mingzhi, who looked calm and composed, elegant and noble.
Just sitting beside her was enough to leave Zhou Tian completely dazzled.
“President Wen, thank you…” Zhou Tian murmured again.
“Mm?” Wen Mingzhi turned slightly and looked at her in confusion. “Thank me for what?”
“For helping me before.”
Wen Mingzhi nodded slightly, saying nothing in response.
Then she turned to look at Zhou Tian and gave her a dazzling smile. “Do you like me?” she asked directly, eyes locking on hers.
There was nowhere to escape.
Wen Mingzhi leaned in even closer, their noses nearly touching.
Her exquisite, stunning face was magnified right in front of Zhou Tian’s eyes.
Zhou Tian froze, holding her breath. She could even see her own shy reflection in those captivating eyes. Her gaze nervously flicked downward—landing on those moist, full lips.
“Hmm? Why aren’t you saying anything, little one?” Wen Mingzhi suddenly pulled back, teasing with a playful smile.
Only then did Zhou Tian dare to breathe deeply again. She instinctively shook her head, then immediately nodded.
“Pres—Wen…” Zhou Tian tried to speak, but Wen Mingzhi interrupted her.
“Didn’t you used to call me ‘Jiejie’?” She smiled seductively. “Don’t call me President Wen—you’re not my employee.” Her eyes were lined with seductive charm, like an enchanting fox luring someone in.
Zhou Tian’s heart raced in panic at those words. Her mind scattered completely, and she could only nod repeatedly like a pecking chick.
“Jiejie?” she asked tentatively, after a moment’s hesitation.
“Mm, much better.” Seeing the little alpha’s blushing face—even the ears hidden under her black hair had turned red—Wen Mingzhi found herself amused. She had never thought an alpha could be this fun.
But…
The heat surged again, her body growing warmer. Wen Mingzhi couldn’t stop herself from leaning in closer. The violet scent in the air grew more intense—so thick even she found it overwhelming.
“You don’t like drinking?” she asked, noticing the wine still in Zhou Tian’s glass.
“It’s okay.” But as soon as she said that, Zhou Tian downed the wine in one gulp and set the glass on the table.
“Good girl,” Wen Mingzhi praised softly, pleased.
Zhou Tian sat stiffly, not daring to move. Under the scorching gaze of her goddess, she couldn’t even raise her head.
“Relax a little, make yourself comfortable,” Wen Mingzhi coaxed, her tone light and warm.
“Okay.” Zhou Tian exhaled and glanced up—just in time to meet her intense gaze.
It was like she’d been caught, unable to run.
Then, Wen Mingzhi smiled and leaned closer again, right next to her ear. She asked softly, “Want to do it?”
Zhou Tian’s brain completely short-circuited. She started to wonder if this was all just a fantasy.
“Why aren’t you saying anything?”
Before Zhou Tian could reply, Wen Mingzhi’s arm wrapped around her waist.
Her soft, hot touch made Zhou Tian subconsciously lick her lips.
“Mark me, okay? I’m in heat.” That gentle voice whispered at her ear, even laced with a bit of coquettish pleading.
Zhou Tian instinctively nodded. “Okay.”
She raised her hand and stroked Wen Mingzhi’s delicate back, slowly leaning in, pressing their smooth cheeks together. Zhou Tian’s eyes were dreamy and dazed.
The violet pheromone scent lingered at Zhou Tian’s nose, stirring her own heat. Her susceptible period stirred restlessly.
But the sliver of rationality Zhou Tian still clung to kept her from acting recklessly, no matter how intimate Wen Mingzhi became.
It was Wen Mingzhi who couldn’t seem to get enough. She kissed Zhou Tian’s face, trailing downward, her actions becoming more intense and passionate.
“…Touch me.” To Wen Mingzhi, Zhou Tian was like a refreshing block of ice under the scorching sun—so soothing.
Wen Mingzhi took her hand and guided it toward the back of her neck.
Zhou Tian gently touched the sensitive gland there, then slowly leaned in and kissed it a few times. Just as Wen Mingzhi raised a hand to shield between them—
Zhou Tian bit down, gently.
Wen Mingzhi collapsed into her arms, trembling slightly.
The air was filled with the growing scent of intimacy. Violet and cherry blossom pheromones intertwined, blending into one. On the table, Wen Mingzhi’s glass of red wine was knocked over, spilling across the floor, its fragrance spreading…
The next morning, Zhou Tian woke up to the sight of Wen Mingzhi’s flawless, pale shoulder. She was lying with her back to Zhou Tian, leaving a bit of space between them, as though sleeping right at the edge of the bed.
Zhou Tian’s lips curled into a smile. She cautiously reached out and gently touched the empty space between them.
The scent of last night’s wine still lingered in the air, along with the strong mix of violet and cherry blossom pheromones.
Zhou Tian’s brows twitched slightly. She reached up to pull the blanket up over Wen Mingzhi’s shoulder, covering the exposed skin.
“…Mm?” a slightly hoarse voice murmured.
