Chapter 15: Zhou Tian, Didn’t I Tell You To Stay Away From Wen Mingzhi?
Hearing the voice, Zhou Tian quickly pulled her hand back.
“You’re awake? What time is it?” Wen Mingzhi sat up, revealing a large swath of bare skin across her chest.
It was dazzlingly fair. Zhou Tian stole a glance and immediately looked away.
The curtains were tightly drawn, and the room was dim—making it impossible to tell the time by sight alone.
Wen Mingzhi gave a quick look around before bending down and picking up some clothes from the floor. She threw on her shirt and got out of bed.
Zhou Tian watched her. The skin on her back was smooth and glowing, and right in the center of her slender spine was a faint red mark—the hickey Zhou Tian had left.
Zhou Tian couldn’t help but smile. Her peach blossom eyes shimmered with a soft mist, and her gaze was filled with sincere affection.
Wen Mingzhi grabbed some clothes from the closet and went into the bathroom.
Before closing the door, she said, “Get up. Let’s have breakfast later.”
Zhou Tian sat up in bed, holding the blanket around her as she looked around for her dress. She finally spotted the crumpled dress at the foot of the bed. Holding it up, she realized it was wrinkled all over—completely unwearable.
“What’s wrong?” Wen Mingzhi leaned casually against the doorframe, now dressed in a simple, relaxed shirt and slacks. She also wore a black headband, her long hair falling naturally over her shoulders. The at-home look softened her cool aura, making her seem a little more approachable.
“My clothes… Do you have any clothes I can wear?” Zhou Tian looked at Wen Mingzhi with pitiful eyes.
Wen Mingzhi turned to rummage through the closet. It mostly contained shirts and suits—she rarely came to this place, so she only kept a few casual outfits here.
She eventually pulled out a gray tracksuit and tossed it to Zhou Tian. “Wear this for now.”
“Okay.” Zhou Tian quickly hugged the clothes to her chest.
“Thanks.” She looked up at Wen Mingzhi, who had already headed back to the bathroom. She was wearing the same white shirt as before, which suddenly reminded Zhou Tian—she had worn Wen Mingzhi’s clothes once before too.
Was it the same shirt as last time?
A soft smile curved her lips as she hugged the hoodie to her chest and took a deep sniff. It smelled so good.
It was her goddess’s clothes!
The outfit was a bit snug on her—not a perfect fit.
While she was examining the tracksuit on her body, Wen Mingzhi came out of the bathroom again. Her sleek black hair fell neatly over her chest. The shirt collar was left unbuttoned at the top, giving off a subtly restrained sensuality. Even with no makeup, her elegant aura couldn’t be hidden—she was simply stunning.
Zhou Tian’s gaze followed Wen Mingzhi’s every move, completely entranced.
“All right, you know where the toiletries are, right? Just stay in the room and wait for me. I’ll come up later,” Wen Mingzhi said, then left the room with brisk efficiency.
Zhou Tian washed up using the toiletries she remembered from last time.
Looking at herself in the mirror, she smoothed out her hair, and suddenly, memories from last night came flooding back.
They had started on the couch, but somehow ended up in bed… and then in the bathroom.
Wen Mingzhi had said she was going to wash up, but her heat-stricken body clung to Zhou Tian, so Zhou Tian stayed with her.
Under the shower, they held each other tightly, skin to skin. The scent of rose-scented body wash filled the air, mingling with the aroma of cherry blossom and violet pheromones—intoxicating and seductive.
As the water trickled down, soft, alluring moans echoed in the steamy bathroom.
Zhou Tian remembered biting gently at Wen Mingzhi’s swollen gland.
Thinking back on it now made Zhou Tian blush furiously. She splashed cold water on her face again and again.
The hot breath and teasing gasps still seemed to linger in her ears—enticing and unforgettable.
“There’s clothes here. You can change after you finish washing up,” Wen Mingzhi appeared behind her so silently that Zhou Tian jumped in fright.
Wen Mingzhi glanced at her in confusion, then walked off again.
“Y-Yes… thank you,” Zhou Tian stammered, burying her face in embarrassment.
She looked at the clothes—there was even underwear, all in her size. And the dress was in a soft yellow shade, clearly chosen to match her preferences.
It had to be expensive—she checked the label. DMI.
As expected.
After putting the dress on, Zhou Tian twirled in front of the mirror. The tailoring was precise, the fabric felt luxurious, and it fit her perfectly. The small floral print radiated elegance and class. She looked graceful and poised—like a refined young lady.
Zhou Tian adjusted her hair one last time. After making sure everything was perfect, she headed downstairs.
The moment she came down, she saw Wen Mingzhi sitting at the dining table, intently looking at her tablet with one hand and sipping coffee with the other.
Noticing her arrival, Wen Mingzhi looked up and said softly, “You look lovely.” Then returned her focus to the tablet.
Zhou Tian’s lips curved upward slightly—her goddess had complimented her.
She also noticed the Omega standing beside Wen Mingzhi, probably her assistant.
“Come eat. This is Assistant Chen,” Wen Mingzhi briefly introduced.
“Okay… hello.” Zhou Tian greeted politely and took her seat at the table.
It was already 10:30—barely still “breakfast.”
Zhou Tian reached for a crispy pan-fried bun, only to be startled by a sudden voice.
Wen Mingzhi didn’t even look up. “Is there something you want?”
“Huh?” Zhou Tian dropped the bun in surprise and quickly scooped it back onto her plate.
So embarrassing. So embarrassing. She internally berated herself.
“Or is there a particular resource you’re after?” Wen Mingzhi continued.
Those enchanting phoenix eyes curved into a shallow smile—but to Zhou Tian, they seemed sharp and cold. The smile on her face held no warmth.
“Anything’s fine,” Zhou Tian murmured.
“All right. Let me know once you’ve decided.” Wen Mingzhi went back to her tablet.
But the assistant beside her, Assistant Chen, stole several glances at Zhou Tian.
Zhou Tian nibbled at the bun. Even though she was being offered benefits, it didn’t feel good to hear it phrased like a transaction…
The delicious bun now tasted bland and dry.
If Sister Xia found out, she’d definitely be happy—they were finally getting resources.
Premium resources suddenly within reach. Zhou Tian never thought she’d reach this point—trading her body for opportunities.
But… she genuinely liked Wen Mingzhi. She hadn’t intended to use her for anything.
Even if Wen Mingzhi saw it as a deal, Zhou Tian just wanted to stay by her side. Be a little closer to her. She bit into another bun, and it exploded with juice—splashing to the side, almost hitting Wen Mingzhi.
“You okay?” Zhou Tian quickly grabbed some tissues to clean it. Thankfully, it hadn’t reached Wen Mingzhi.
Wen Mingzhi gave her a glance. “Be careful while eating.”
“Y-Yes!” Zhou Tian nodded vigorously and sat up straighter, eating more cautiously.
“Stay here for a few more days. If you need anything, just let Assistant Chen or Auntie Li know.” Wen Mingzhi left her with this instruction and headed to another room with Assistant Chen.
“That’s President Wen’s study,” Auntie Li explained.
Zhou Tian nodded and withdrew her gaze, continuing her meal.
She was so lost in thought… how could she embarrass herself while eating too!?
Ahhh! What about her image in front of her goddess!?
Zhou Tian couldn’t help but slump in regret.
After breakfast, she wandered around the house, checking out the place. Last time, she left in a rush and hadn’t had time to explore.
She toured the first-floor living room, then the dining area. Upstairs, there were two guest rooms and one locked room. The third floor was entirely Wen Mingzhi’s domain—with a spacious bedroom connected to a large walk-in closet and an adjacent study.
Zhou Tian only dared to glance at it before quickly closing the door.
After the indoor tour, she went outside to look around.
The yard was huge, with two black sedans parked nearby. Surrounding it were lush green plants and a small pavilion with a tea table and chairs.
Zhou Tian sat in the pavilion and sighed in comfort. The weather was perfect—neither hot nor cold. Golden sunlight spilled across the yard, and colorful flowers swayed in the breeze, filling the air with fragrance. A gentle wind occasionally brushed by, cool and refreshing.
She asked Auntie Li for a cup of coffee and sat there sipping it, enjoying the breeze and sunshine.
Until a sudden voice shattered the peace.
“Zhou Tian!”
“What are you doing here!?”
“…”
A familiar voice made Zhou Tian flinch. She looked around for the source.
And then spotted a figure at the gate of the courtyard—it really was a familiar face.
“Zhou Tian! Zhou Tian!…” the person kept shouting her name.
“Teacher Bai?!”
Outside the black gate stood Teacher Bai Qianxue, calling out to her. One gate apart—rivals face-to-face. Zhou Tian found the situation absurd. Of all places, how did Bai Qianxue end up here?
“Zhou Tian! Why are you here?!” The other woman glared at her furiously.
“Uh…” Zhou Tian thought for a moment, then replied coolly, “I’m just here.” She nodded innocently.
No need to guess—Bai Qianxue was obviously here for Wen Mingzhi. But since she was outside, that meant Wen Mingzhi didn’t want to see her.
So there was no reason to be polite. Besides, things between them had never been pleasant. Zhou Tian hadn’t forgotten the things Bai Qianxue had said before.
“You!!!” Bai Qianxue shouted in anger, her eyes practically shooting flames.
“Is President Wen here?” Her tone suddenly softened, becoming sweet and approachable.
Zhou Tian smiled gently and replied, “Mingzhi-jie is here.”
Immediately, Bai Qianxue’s eyes widened in rage again, glaring at her fiercely. “Mingzhi-jie?! Zhou Tian! You—!”
“Zhou Tian, didn’t I tell you to stay away from Wen Mingzhi?!”
“But Mingzhi-jie told me not to stay away,” Zhou Tian blinked her big round eyes, playing innocent, a glint of mischief flashing in her gaze.
“You! Zhou Tian! Let me in!” Bai Qianxue’s voice softened again.
But it didn’t sound any more pleasant.
Zhou Tian shook her head. “Why don’t you ask Mingzhi-jie? See if she’ll let you in?” With that, she gave a provocative little smile.
