After the Divorce, the Heiress Omega Regretted It - Chapter 37
Butler Lin stood by the dining table, watching the two women sweetly sharing sweet and sour ribs, her emotions a tangled mess.
The young lady before her looked exactly like the one in her memories—same face, same build—but everything else was different. One had been cold and distant, rarely smiling. The other was radiant and full of life, her face always lit with joy.
And then there was the way they treated Luo Yunye. One kept her at arm’s length, indifferent to the point that even Butler Lin felt sorry for her. The other, though—this one was affectionate, the kind of closeness you’d expect between lovers.
But judging from how naturally Luo Yunye interacted with this “young lady,” it seemed she already understood what was going on.
As Qin Yiwan got up to fetch a bowl from the kitchen, Butler Lin tugged her sleeve. “Young Madam… the young lady, is she… possessed or something? How could she suddenly change so much?”
Her behavior was clearly out of the ordinary—anyone could see that. Lin’s confusion was understandable.
Luo Yunye, knowing her concern came from a place of care for Qin Yiwan, didn’t intend to hide anything.
“You’ve heard of dissociative identity disorder, right?”
Lin nodded. “I’ve heard about it…”
Then, as if something clicked, her eyes widened. Covering her mouth, she whispered, “You mean… the young lady has split personalities? And the one we see now is another identity?”
Luo Yunye nodded. “You’ve probably noticed already—A’wan and her ‘sister’ have completely different personalities.”
“They really are different…”
Butler Lin glanced at Qin Yiwan, who was now back at the table eating gracefully. The curve of her brows and eyes held a playful innocence, vibrant and lively.
“Miss A’wan seems so full of energy. She’s not like the young lady—so much more cheerful.”
Luo Yunye gazed at A’wan from a distance, a smile unconsciously forming on her lips. “A’wan is the part of her that knows how to love, the part her ‘sister’ lost. She can feel affection—toward everything and everyone. Her emotions are vivid and real. Unlike her sister, who bottles everything up, unreadable.”
Butler Lin, sensing the shift in Luo Yunye’s tone, hesitated, then asked carefully, “So… do you prefer Miss A’wan or the other personality? ”
She already had her answer deep down.
“No one could dislike A’wan. But they’re still the same person. I love A’wan… and I love her sister (the other personality). But her sister…”
Seeing the flicker of sadness in Luo Yunye’s eyes, Lin immediately changed the subject. “Miss A’wan is waiting for you. You should get back to her.”
Luo Yunye’s smile returned. She walked over to Qin Yiwan and ladled some soup into a bowl, setting it beside her.
“So, where are we going today?”
Qin Yiwan propped her chin on her hand. “Wherever you want to go, I’ll come along.”
“Then let’s go shopping,” she said with a grin. “I want us to wear matching outfits.”
“Sure.”
After tidying up, they headed out. As soon as they got in the car, Qin Yiwan suddenly remembered, “Aiwan! Bring Aiwan!”
She wanted to document their happy day. In case too much time passed before she woke again, the recordings would remind her of these little moments.
Luo Yunye called out, and Aiwan came bouncing out of the house. It wagged its tail excitedly by the car.
“Wanwan, are you taking me out with you?”
“Yep! Hop in. We’re going to the mall together!”
“Yay!”
Aiwan jumped into the back seat and sat obediently.
They parked in the underground garage of the mall. Since their relationship wasn’t public yet, it wouldn’t be good to show up in public together, let alone show affection. Before getting out, they both put on sunglasses, masks, and hats. Their stylish figures turned heads, and people couldn’t help but wonder if they were celebrities.
Qin Yiwan wanted to hold Luo Yunye’s arm as they walked but held back. When they found a quieter corner, she dragged her into a luxury boutique.
Both A’wan and her “sister” had refined fashion sense—just different tastes. Qin Yiwan preferred cooler tones, especially black. A’wan loved warm colors, especially bright red.
A sales associate came over as soon as they entered. Qin Yiwan waved her off, saying they wanted to browse on their own. The associate, curious about their mysterious air, didn’t follow closely but kept an eye on them from afar.
Qin Yiwan picked out a bright red trench coat and paired it with matching heels and a wide-brimmed hat. Her long, wavy hair cascaded down her back. Standing in front of the mirror, she looked more dazzling than a fashion week model.
“Does it look good?” she asked, already knowing the answer.
“The coat is stunning, but it’s you that makes it beautiful,” Luo Yunye said, leaning in to whisper with a sly smile. “But you’d look even better without it.”
Her breath, warm and teasing, brushed against Qin Yiwan’s ear, making her cheeks flush.
Qin Yiwan laughed and lightly smacked her arm. “What nonsense are you saying?”
Luo Yunye just smiled, pleased. She loved seeing this playful side of Qin Yiwan—sweet voice, cute expressions.
Then Qin Yiwan chose a long dress to try on. But she couldn’t pull the zipper up in the back and called Luo Yunye in to help.
Inside the small fitting room, a mirror stood in front of them. Qin Yiwan lifted her hair to one side and pointed to her back. “Just a bit more—I can’t reach.”
Luo Yunye looked at her bare back, graceful neckline, and the faint red marks on her skin. If this wasn’t an invitation, what was?
She kept her expression calm, zipped the dress up, then pulled Qin Yiwan into her arms, resting her chin on her shoulder and wrapping her arms around her slender waist.
Caught off guard by the sudden intimacy, Qin Yiwan murmured, “Aren’t you afraid someone will see?”
“No one can see us in here.”
She bent her head and kissed her neck. Qin Yiwan shivered, her shoulders twitching slightly.
Luo Yunye gently turned her by the waist. Now face-to-face, Qin Yiwan saw her reflection in Luo Yunye’s eyes. Her heart beat faster, and her hands moved to Luo Yunye’s shoulders.
Luo Yunye kissed her, pressing her against the mirror, cupping her waist, their breaths blending.
When the kiss ended, she helped smooth Qin Yiwan’s dress.
“You wrinkled it,” she pouted. “Couldn’t you have been more careful?”
Luo Yunye, arms still around her, laughed while looking at their reflection. “Buy it. You look amazing in it. And it’s easy to take off.”
Blushing, Qin Yiwan pinched her cheek. “With how eager you were just now, I doubt you even need to take it off.”
“I don’t,” Luo Yunye teased, reaching for her hem.
Startled, Qin Yiwan grabbed her hands. “Okay, okay! I surrender! Don’t tease me anymore!”
After their little moment, they stepped out looking calm and composed. Qin Yiwan paid for everything she tried on, and Luo Yunye carried the bags.
They stopped by a qipao store next and finally found matching outfits.
Luo Yunye’s was a short, bold design; Qin Yiwan’s was long and elegant. Together, they were a perfect pair. Satisfied, they bought them.
By the time they finished shopping, it was getting late. Luo Yunye picked a Western restaurant for dinner, and they chatted about where to go tomorrow.
But both knew that when they woke, the personality could switch again—and there might not be a “tomorrow” for this version of them.
Still, A’wan never worried. There would always be a next time.
So, they made plans to spend the next day at an amusement park.
What Qin Yiwan hadn’t done with Luo Yunye, A’wan would.
Thinking about it filled Luo Yunye with anticipation.
“We can wear our matching outfits tomorrow,” Qin Yiwan said, eyes gleaming. “I don’t care what people think. Even if everyone finds out, I’ll still hold your hand.”
Her bright, confident smile warmed Luo Yunye’s heart. She took her hand. “You can hold it now.”
Qin Yiwan gently caressed her hand, then said a little wistfully, “We’re still missing one thing… wedding rings.”
Since their relationship wasn’t public, they hadn’t exchanged rings when they got married. That reminder stayed with Luo Yunye.
“There will be rings,” she said, lifting her hand and kissing her ring finger. “Your hands are beautiful. A ring will look perfect on you.”
When they got home, Qin Yiwan went to wash up. Luo Yunye called Butler Lin, told her what she needed, and asked her to custom-make a pair of rings.
It would take time, so they wouldn’t be ready by tomorrow. But she could still go out and buy a pair tonight—to surprise A’wan.
She pampered Qin Yiwan thoroughly that night, leaving her too exhausted to even speak, then quietly drove out once she was asleep.
Most jewelry stores were closed, but Luo Yunye finally found one still open—the owner was preparing for a grand opening the next day.
Hearing she needed wedding rings in the middle of the night, the owner figured it had to be for someone very special and brought out a stunning pair of diamond rings.
Luo Yunye loved them instantly. She paid, returned home, and tiptoed back into the bedroom. With care, she slipped the ring onto Qin Yiwan’s finger. The fit wasn’t perfect, but it was close enough.
Thinking about how surprised she’d be in the morning, Luo Yunye couldn’t help smiling. She kissed her forehead and gently pulled her into her arms.

The next morning, as soon as Qin Yiwan stirred, Luo Yunye woke up and watched her closely.
Seeing her smile, she sighed in relief.
“What’s wrong? Were you afraid the original personality would be back?” Qin Yiwan teased.
Luo Yunye laughed, hugging her tighter. “I was afraid she’d wake up, find me in her bed, and slap me again.”
“What?! She hit you?!”
Qin Yiwan looked up at her, shocked.
Realizing she’d said too much, Luo Yunye quickly changed the subject. “Something on your hand poked me.”
“There’s nothing…” Qin Yiwan lifted her hand—and froze.
A sparkling diamond ring gleamed on her finger.
She smiled shyly. “When did you get this? It’s beautiful.”
“I went out last night. The fit isn’t perfect, but it’ll do for now. I’ll give you a custom one once it’s ready.”
“What about yours? Give it to me—I want to put it on you.”
Luo Yunye handed her the other ring. Qin Yiwan held it solemnly and recited wedding vows. When she finished, Luo Yunye answered softly, “I do.”
Qin Yiwan slid the ring onto her finger, eyes full of joy.
“Now,” she said with a bright smile, “you may kiss your bride.”
