13: Your Highness, So Beautiful
Jiang Youbai’s eyes were brimming with tears from the pain, her dark pupils veiled in a misty haze.
She deeply regretted not bringing a small Omega self-defense weapon with her.
She really shouldn’t have indulged Lou Huaiche, allowing her to bite down so recklessly.
Jiang Youbai raised her hand to pull Lou Huaiche away, but Lou Huaiche refused to let go, pressing her down instead.
The problem was, the two were evenly matched in strength and combat skills. With her vulnerable spot attacked, Jiang Youbai was at a slight disadvantage and quickly found herself overpowered.
To make matters worse, the system suddenly chimed in at this moment: “Host, the villain’s favorability has increased by 5 points. Congratulations! Keep up the good work.”
Jiang Youbai’s lips trembled from the pain, unable to utter a single word.
Her vision blurred with tiny black spots, and within those spots, a bold, black number 5 loomed large.
Gritting her teeth, Jiang Youbai grabbed Lou Huaiche ’s arm and bit the tip of her tongue, snarling in anger, “Lou Huaiche!”
Lou Huaiche paused. She nuzzled against Jiang Youbai, moving from behind her to the front, her eyes slightly narrowed as if intoxicated. Murmuring incoherently, she whispered, “Your Highness…”
Lou Huaiche cupped Jiang Youbai’s face, their noses brushing lightly. She giggled softly and leaned in to peck the corner of Jiang Youbai’s lips. “So beautiful.”
So beautiful—like a person carved from porcelain, so exquisite it was almost unreal. She wanted to place this person in a display case and admire her forever.
But Jiang Youbai wasn’t like a doll in a display case. She was too vivid, too vibrant. No doll could match her blend of unrestrained elegance and grace.
Jiang Youbai accepted the kiss with an indifferent expression. Dissatisfied with her cold reaction, Lou Huaiche grabbed her hand and pressed it against her own cheek. “Your Highness—”
Jiang Youbai’s eyes flickered. In one swift motion, she flipped Lou Huaiche onto her back and pinned her to the ground. Lou Huaiche stared at her blankly, her gaze drifting to the warm glow of the lights before she realized what had happened.
Jiang Youbai pressed a knee against Lou Huaiche’s shoulder, her fingers teasing dangerously at the gland on the back of Lou Huaiche ’s neck.
Lou Huaiche caught the tip of Jiang Youbai’s other hand between her fingers. Her peach-blossom eyes narrowed challengingly as she glanced at Jiang Youbai, then brought the fingertip to her lips and sucked it in.
Crimson lips wrapped around a snow-white fingertip, the warmth of her mouth seeping into Jiang Youbai’s skin.
Jiang Youbai yanked her hand back and sneered. With a cold laugh, she wrapped her fingers around Lou Huaiche’s throat.
She didn’t hold back. Lou Huaiche, lost in the throes of her rut, was too dazed to sense the danger. Instead, she tilted her head back, exposing the elegant curve of her neck.
In her dazed vision, Lou Huaiche’s long, raven hair spilled across the floor, framing her bewitchingly beautiful face like a scene from a dream.
The lights dazzled her eyes. She smiled, radiant and untamed, like a mischievous spirit swaying on a flower branch. “What’s wrong?”
Jiang Youbai hauled her up from the floor and swiftly administered a temporary mark.
The infusion of pheromones quickly soothed Lou Huaiche’s turbulent emotions and erratic mind, stabilizing her.
After a moment, Lou Huaiche calmed down. She sat up, buttoning her undone cardigan, and faced Jiang Youbai in silence. The two of them sat wordlessly for a while.
Jiang Youbai broke the silence first. “Want to eat something?”
Lou Huaiche replied, “Sure.”
Jiang Youbai somehow produced a menu and handed it to Lou Huaiche. Lou Huaiche flipped through it, scanning the options. After a while, she said, “Let’s get some almond tofu.”
Almond tofu.
Jiang Youbai mulled over the words in her mind.
She was starting to suspect that Jiang Qingxian and Lou Huaiche had known each other long before this.
Otherwise, given Lou Huaiche’s current cold and detached demeanor, why would her favorability toward Jiang Qingxian be as high as 30?
