- Chapter 21 - Yan Run, Do You Still Want Me?
Yan Run looked at the person in front of her with confusion. The Alpha was garishly dressed, wearing a short skirt far too youthful for her age, sleeves rolled up, and her features full of hostility.
No matter how hard she tried, Yan Run couldn’t recall who she was.
“Excuse me… and you are?”
The woman became anxious when she realized Yan Run didn’t recognize her. “You really don’t remember me? How can you be so heartless?!”
Ji Zhiye, hearing this, was stunned. Don’t tell me Yan Run was involved with this Alpha before?
And this Alpha… really doesn’t look the type.
Yan Run frowned, still unable to recall her. With a sigh, she said, “I’m sorry. Could you please step aside?”
But the woman wouldn’t give up. She took a step closer, her eyes sharp and cold. “How could you forget me? Are you doing this on purpose? What did I do so wrong for you to hate me like this?!”
“And now you’re even marrying that woman Yu Wenxi! You know full well she doesn’t love you—and you don’t love her either. Your whole romance variety show is just a money grab, a PR stunt, isn’t it?”
Yan Run clenched her fists. Why are there always so many annoying people pestering me?!
Ji Zhiye stepped forward to shield her, silently signaling the Alpha not to come any closer. The woman gave a dry laugh, then finally turned and left. Ji Zhiye watched her retreating figure, still curious. “Who was that?”
“I honestly don’t remember. I couldn’t have had a friend like that,” Yan Run replied with a sigh. I’ve lost my memory—how could I remember?
After the two entered the private room, the Alpha emerged once more, staring at the door behind which they disappeared, her mind spinning with hazy memories.
Meanwhile, Ji Zhiye—who normally wasn’t good at making conversation—seemed to get along strangely well with Yan Run.
“Second Miss Yan, who was your first love?”
Yan Run shook her head. “I can’t remember.”
Ji Zhiye chuckled and picked up a wine bottle. Yan Run didn’t notice that the alcohol content was much stronger than usual. She had only intended to drink a couple of glasses, but Ji Zhiye kept toasting her, and not wanting to refuse, Yan Run drank more than she should have. The alcohol hit her quickly—she had never been good at drinking.
Before long, she was drunk and woozy.
While she was still dazed, Ji Zhiye discreetly pulled out a voice recorder. Seeing Yan Run start to mutter someone’s name, she gently asked, “Miss Yan, tell me—who is the person you love?”

Elsewhere, the livestream continued to focus on the other guests in the “Love Cabin.”
Meng Qieyi was absent. Gao Ge, Wang Yunfan, Han Shu, Xu Zhaozhao, and Yu Chen were playing games in the living room.
At the same time, the two celebrities known as “208” happened to run into each other on the balcony again.
“Li Wenjun From 1983 was really good,” Yu Wenxi said as she walked over, holding two glasses of red wine.
Wei Qin, who had been enjoying the evening breeze, frowned slightly and turned to look at her.
Yu Wenxi offered her a glass. “Here, have some.”
There was something perfect about drinking wine on a cool summer night.
Wei Qin took it, though her tone was less than friendly. “You watched that film?”
Yu Wenxi nodded. “Why wouldn’t I? It’s a great film.”
Wei Qin was stunned. “Are you actually praising it?”
She had assumed that as a rival, Yu Wenxi would never offer such praise.
Yu Wenxi nodded again. “It deserved Best Picture. And your performance was phenomenal—it really resonated with me. That Best Actress award? You earned it.”
Wei Qin stared at her. “Are you being sarcastic?”
Yu Wenxi chuckled. “I rarely compliment anyone, but you really deserved that award.”
Wei Qin was left speechless. Given her own attitude in the past, she suddenly felt rather petty. She had never imagined Yu Wenxi would genuinely praise her.
“Why would you compliment me? You know most of the smear campaigns against you were paid for by my agency. You’re supposed to be my rival.”
Yu Wenxi looked off into the distant woods, where the trees shimmered faintly in the starlight. “But facts are facts. Why would I mock you for them? Don’t you think you’re underestimating me a little?”
Wei Qin opened her mouth, then closed it again.
“I really don’t know what to say to you.” She took a long sip of the wine.
Yu Wenxi smiled faintly. “Do you like this? If you do, I can send you a few bottles.”
“You think I can’t afford it?” Wei Qin glared at her.
But Yu Wenxi just smiled. Her beauty shimmered like a snow lotus blooming on a mountaintop—fragile and dazzling all at once. Anyone who saw her would be afraid she might be taken away.
“Your smile is even more beautiful than mine.” Wei Qin said.
“You’re flattering me now?” Yu Wenxi replied.
“Hey, I’m just stating the truth.” Wei Qin declared.
“Fine. I’ll remember that.” Yu Wenxi took the wine glass from her. “If you don’t enjoy it, don’t force yourself to drink.”
Wei Qin watched her walk away and suddenly realized—maybe there really was a reason that jerk Yan Run had fallen for her.

Not long after, Ji Zhiye came back carrying a clearly drunk Yan Run in her arms. Yan Run was still mumbling, head resting against Ji Zhiye’s shoulder. The others in the room were stunned and hurried over, thinking something had gone wrong.
Downstairs, Yu Wenxi had just finished a call with Lin Chuyin and couldn’t help but come down to see what was happening—only to find Ji Zhiye holding a drunken Yan Run, looking helplessly at her.
【Ahaha, they actually went out drinking?!】
【Drinking is fine, but why did Second Dog get that drunk? Doesn’t she know netizens will roast her for this?】
【Didn’t people say she hangs out in bars all the time? Shouldn’t she be a pro at drinking by now?】
【LOOK! IT’S XIXI!】
【She looks pissed.】
【Ugh, that Second Dog again! Always upsetting Xixi. Maybe they should just get divorced. If Xixi’s mood affects her beauty, how am I supposed to enjoy looking at her?!】
【This is why you shouldn’t trust Alphas who love to drink!】
“How did she end up like this?” Yu Wenxi’s voice was unusually calm.
Even the usually composed Ji Zhiye flinched. “We just had a couple of drinks… I didn’t think she’d get this drunk.”
“She can’t handle alcohol,” Yu Wenxi said plainly.
The others were surprised to hear this.
Yu Wenxi moved to support Yan Run. Meng Qieyi asked, concerned, “Need a hand?”
Before Yu Wenxi could reply, Yan Run suddenly blurted out, “No!”
Then she settled back onto Yu Wenxi’s shoulder, perfectly content.
Meng Qieyi froze, unsure what to do.
Yu Wenxi smiled faintly. “It’s fine. I’ll take her in.”
Thankfully, Yan Run wasn’t too heavy, and Yu Wenxi managed to lay her gently on the bed. She closed the door quietly behind her.
After thinking for a moment, she called the director. “Please leave ten inhibitors outside the door.”
On the bed, Yan Run groaned, “My head… it hurts…”
Her mind was still fairly clear, but her body was limp and heavy. She forced her eyes open, trying to figure out where she was.
“Ji Zhiye… where am I? This bed is so soft…” she mumbled. The more uncertain she felt, the more she wanted to stay awake.
Then she saw a graceful figure pulling the curtains shut, blocking every last trace of light from outside.
The silhouette wasn’t Ji Zhiye’s broad one—it was slender, elegant. Not exactly thin, but well-proportioned in all the right places…
Every movement was poised, graceful, cool. One glance was enough to recognize the face she’d longed to see in countless dreams.
Yan Run murmured, half-conscious, “Who… who are you?”
“You don’t recognize me?” A cool, gentle voice whispered in her ear. Yan Run might not be able to see her face clearly—but she knew that voice like the back of her hand.
Her eyes flew open in shock.
She was in Yu Wenxi’s bed.
Terrified, she tried to scramble up—but she was too drunk to stand, collapsing to the floor with a thud.
A pair of slender, snowy hands caught her.
Yu Wenxi’s voice remained soft but firm. “Just lie back on the bed.”
Yan Run didn’t want to strain herself anymore. She gave a small “mm” of acknowledgment and lay down with her eyes closed—but she couldn’t fall asleep again.
Now that she knew there was an Omega—especially Yu Wenxi—beside her, even with a spinning head and a drunken haze, she just couldn’t sleep.
“Can you… help me… with some hangover soup… just for tonight…” she murmured pitifully.
“You should sleep first,” Yu Wenxi said softly, without agreeing to leave.
Yan Run felt her body growing warm. With trembling hands, she touched her neck—she was sweating.
“I’m sorry… I reek of alcohol… and I’m lying on your bed…”
“It’s fine,” Yu Wenxi replied with a faint smile, glancing at the time.
Yan Run’s face was growing redder by the second, and her breathing had become shallow.
Worse still—her body had begun to uncontrollably release a bit of pheromones.
Her scent was that of oranges after the rain—sweet, sharp, and unmistakable. As a top-tier Alpha, even the slightest release carried an overpowering intensity. Despite her drunken haze, she could still smell the citrus in the air.
This is bad.
No. There’s still an Omega in the room. I need to get her out—now.
“I’m accidentally releasing pheromones. Can you step outside?” she asked, trying to remain composed.
Yu Wenxi was quiet for a moment, then gave a soft “Mm” and turned to open the door.
Yan Run breathed a sigh of relief, thinking she had left—but instead, Yu Wenxi simply picked something up by the door and came back inside, closing it behind her.
Yan Run: “…”
She couldn’t see what Yu Wenxi had grabbed, but right now, that wasn’t her concern. The pain of trying to suppress her pheromones was tearing her apart. It was torture for an Alpha.
And Alphas were impulsive by nature. With an Omega nearby, the instinctual drive triggered by pheromones could easily push her past the point of control.
“Can you please leave?” Yan Run snapped, lacking the strength to even rise from the bed.
She could only glare at Yu Wenxi with all the force she had left.
But Yu Wenxi appeared utterly calm, unbothered.
What is she doing?!
Doesn’t she know how dangerous it is for an Omega to be near a leaking Alpha?!
“I said, leave!”
“I’m not going. If I leave, you might not survive the night,” Yu Wenxi replied suddenly.
Yan Run froze in shock as Yu Wenxi stepped over and stood beside her.
She gently brushed Yan Run’s hair, and that light touch only intensified the wildness in Yan Run’s scent.
Yu Wenxi’s hand was cool like ice, stroking her fevered face, soothing the chaos inside her.
“You shouldn’t drink strong liquor. It destabilizes your pheromones and leads to leakage… You’ll suffer like this every time. And tonight, you don’t have time to go to a hospital…” Her voice was low and steady, repeating calmly by Yan Run’s ear.
But Yan Run couldn’t process any of it.
She was resisting. She was enduring. She was trying to control herself.
But Omega pheromones left her no room for obedience.
Then don’t blame me…
Suddenly, her hand shot up and grabbed the back of Yu Wenxi’s head.
Yu Wenxi instinctively leaned forward, their faces pressed together, the scene intimate, suggestive.
Yan Run bit down hard on her lips.
Yu Wenxi let out a soft gasp. This Alpha—so composed on the outside, yet kisses with such wildness!
Though caught off guard at first, Yu Wenxi quickly regained control, as if unfazed by the escalation.
She reached behind Yan Run’s back and lightly scratched a ticklish spot. Yan Run couldn’t suppress a gasp, half from pleasure, half from surprise, before Yu Wenxi pushed her gently away.
Yan Run had no strength left. Her eyes, however, were clouded with raw, unrestrained desire.
And with her pheromones still swirling heavily in the air, the Alpha would only grow more unstable.
But Yu Wenxi calmly stepped back and retrieved a bottle of suppressant.
Yan Run stared her down like a hungry predator about to strike.
Moments later, she pounced, her instincts taking over completely.
Just as she was reveling in the thrill of catching a soft, snow-white little lamb—
A needle plunged sharply into her thigh.
Yan Run cried out in pain.
Downstairs, the others were still chatting when her voice rang out.
Han Shu looked up, startled. “Was that… What was that sound?”
Wang Yunfan’s eyes widened. “I think that was Second Miss Yan shouting.”
Ji Zhiye smirked knowingly. “Don’t worry about them. Maybe it’s just… some wife-on-wife affection.”
Everyone gasped.
Who would do that on a reality show?
【What?! Ji Zhiye said they’re doing that?!】
【Impossible! Isn’t Second Dog completely drunk? She can’t even stand, let alone… do that!】
【Exactly! I thought she was out cold. Xixi’s probably just teaching her a lesson.】
【But if their marriage is fake, why would Xixi care enough to discipline her?】
【Wait… Don’t tell me… are they actually in love?!】
Back upstairs, Yan Run’s leg throbbed with a dull ache. She clenched her jaw, glaring at Yu Wenxi.
Yu Wenxi, calm and precise, had injected her without hesitation—like she could do everything.
But the suppressant wasn’t enough. Yan Run’s pheromones were still leaking, and her Alpha instincts screamed to devour the Omega in front of her. She wanted to bite her, tear her apart, consume her.
Her gaze landed on Yu Wenxi’s reddened lips—the result of her earlier kiss. Her body ached again, the hunger growing.
She lunged once more, feral and needy.
But against a clever Omega, even the strongest Alpha could only be subdued.
Another syringe stabbed into her upper arm.
Yan Run screamed again.
Downstairs, the group began to grow restless.
Han Shu: “Should we check on them?”
Meng Qieyi couldn’t sit still any longer. “I’m going.”
She reached their door quickly. There was a faint citrus scent lingering in the air—distinct, unmistakable.
Her heart sank. She knocked.
“Wenxi, is everything okay?”
Yu Wenxi’s voice came from inside, calm and teasing. “We’re fine. We’re just… occupied.”
Meng Qieyi’s cheeks flushed, her eyes darkening with disappointment. She bit her lip, hesitated, and then silently walked away.
Back in the room, Yan Run lay limp, exhausted and humiliated, staring up at Yu Wenxi with frustration and disbelief.
Yu Wenxi leaned over her, and the moment looked like a scene from a drama—where the one humiliated stares helplessly at the one doing the humiliating.
To an outsider, it would seem like Yan Run was the one being bullied to the verge of tears.
Perhaps the suppressant was finally taking effect. Her drunken haze began to lift, and some of her reason returned.
“What… What was I doing…?”
“Don’t talk.”
“Mm…”
Mm?!
Yu Wenxi was kissing her.
An Omega’s saliva carries pheromones too. For an Alpha, it’s the most effective sedative.
The storm inside Yan Run calmed instantly.
Her lips were sweet. Soft. Wet. And warm.
This didn’t feel like that time with the Omega in the bar. This kiss felt familiar—comforting, even.
Like something she liked. Something she missed.
The tension in her body drained away. She no longer had the strength to think.
She just wanted to sleep.
So tired… really tired…
But Yu Wenxi wouldn’t let her drift off.
A soft hand slid down her thigh—
And then a whisper beside her ear:
“Yan Run… do you still want me now?”
