- After The Young Lady Lost Her Memory, She Mistakenly Flirted With The Wrong Person.
- Chapter 2 - Discharge from the Hospital
Even more powerful than his father, former chairman Guohua Lu, Tingchen Lu now leads the Lu Group, which is already wealthy enough to rival a nation.
His father, Guohua Lu, and his stepmother, Rou Mu, had already gone traveling together, showing deep
affection for each other.
Nowadays, seeing them once a year is already considered good.
Tingchen Lu sat in his seat, listening to reports from the department managers… his fingers rubbing
lightly, without saying a word, his face cold and expressionless.
The project department manager didn’t even dare to breathe loudly, filled with fear, worried that even the
smallest mistake would get him fired on the spot.
Just then—thud—a message notification sounded. Everyone glanced nervously at their phones and let out a sigh
of relief. Luckily, it wasn’t their phone that rang.
Last time, when the finance department manager’s phone rang during a meeting, he was immediately kicked out…
Sitting at the head of the table, Tingchen Lu picked up his phone. A WeChat message popped up from someone
with the nickname “A Cloud Emoji.”
Tingchen Lu paused slightly before opening the chat. There was only one message: “Don’t be angry,” followed
by a crying emoji.
After reading the message, Tingchen Lu stared for a moment… then directly put down his phone.
He turned to everyone and said, “Revise everything. Meeting’s over!”
After speaking, he walked straight out of the conference room. The others all looked discouraged… and
sighed.
Tingchen Lu returned to his office. His assistant, Yang Li, knocked on the door and entered.
“President Lu, Miss Hanyu Mu is downstairs and wants to see you…” Tingchen Lu frowned and said, “Send her
away. For people like that, don’t ask me next time—just let them leave.”
Downstairs, a woman asked, “So? Did President Lu let me go up?”
“I’m sorry, Miss Mu,” Yang said with a professional smile. “President Lu is busy and unavailable. Please go
back.”
Hanyu Mu asked unwillingly, “Is my cousin really that busy?”
“Yes, President Lu is not available,” Yang said with a smile.
Hanyu Mu had no choice but to leave unwillingly…
Meanwhile, Tingchen Lu was standing by the floor-to-ceiling window on the 50th floor of his office, looking
down… his mind was thinking about the message Yun Luoluo had just sent. It was the first message she had
sent since they re-added each other on WeChat.
Even someone as sharp as Tingchen Lu couldn’t figure out what she meant by it.
Maybe she sent it by mistake—after all, he had heard that she liked someone else.
The two of them had only met when they were kids. After growing up, they had only seen each other at a few
gatherings, and the number of words exchanged between them could be counted on one hand.
Normally, whenever Yun Luoluo saw him, she would avoid him from far away. How could she be sending him
messages now…
After thinking about it for a while, Tingchen Lu pushed away the distracting thoughts and threw himself back
into work.
……
Two days later, Yun Luoluo was finally allowed to leave the hospital. As soon as she stepped outside, she
took a deep breath—she was finally discharged.
“Luoluo-jie, put on your mask. It wouldn’t be good if someone recognized you,” Xiaoxiao said.
“What’s there to be afraid of?” she replied. There shouldn’t be many people who recognized her anyway—she
was just a D-list celebrity.
Xiaoxiao sighed helplessly. “So… should we go home now?”
The two of them made their way back to the Jin Xincheng residential complex and entered Yun Luoluo’s
apartment. As soon as she walked in the door, Yun Luoluo collapsed straight onto the sofa.
Xiaoxiao left, saying she had to return to the company—Sister Qing had something for her to do…
Ding-dong! A few WeChat notifications popped up. Yun Luoluo immediately picked up her phone, thinking it
might be from Tingchen Lu.
But when she looked, it wasn’t.
It was a message from her cousin, Jiujiao Rong—her uncle’s daughter—who was the same age as her, just three
months younger. Since they were kids, Yun Luoluo had gone to school and played together with her younger
brother, Muyu Yun, and Jiujiao Rong.
Jiujiao’s personality matched hers well…
They always called each other by name—never using “cousin.”
On WeChat, Jiujiao had messaged her: “Sis! Let’s go to Meise tonight for a few drinks! You coming?”
Yun Luoluo’s eyes lit up and she replied instantly, “I’m in!”
She went straight upstairs, did her makeup, and headed out. She wore a black spaghetti strap dress, had
delicate makeup on, and her hair was let down with the ends slightly curled, looking even more graceful and
flowing.
Outside Meise, as soon as Yun Luoluo got out of the car, she heard Jiujiao’s voice: “Luoluo, over here!”
Yun Luoluo looked up and saw Jiujiao already waiting by the entrance.
Jiujiao was wearing a red strappy dress, the back fully open, showing off her smooth bare skin—bright and
bold.
“Jiujiao, long time no see.”
“Tsk, tsk, tsk. Luoluo, you’re even prettier than before.”
Jiujiao had always admired Yun Luoluo’s looks. In Beijing, she could easily be ranked number one in beauty.
Although Jiujiao herself was also beautiful, she couldn’t match Luoluo’s charm and aura.
The Yun family had always protected her well. The only “wild” thing she’d ever done was stepping into the
murky waters of the entertainment industry on her own.
“I really don’t understand how Aunt could’ve let her go there alone…”
“Oh right, I heard you got into a car accident a few days ago. How are you? Feeling better? Did you hit your
head? Don’t tell me you got dumb from the crash…”
Yun Luoluo: “…No way. I’m totally fine. So are we going in or what? I just got out of the hospital today and
came out just for you. If Sister Qing finds out, I’ll get scolded again.”
“You’re the young lady of the Yun family, and you’re afraid of a manager?” Jiujiao scoffed.
“You know Sister Qing only means well. She doesn’t even know I’m the Yun family’s heiress.”
Besides… I probably won’t be the Yun family heiress for long, thought Yun Luoluo to herself. The family was
nearly “bankrupt” after all.
Jiujiao had no idea what was on Yun Luoluo’s mind and led her into Meise.
As soon as they walked in, loud music filled the air. The place was packed—some people drinking, others
dancing.
Seeing the crowd, Yun Luoluo started to feel a bit overwhelmed. She rarely came to places like this. Every
time she did, it was either with Jiujiao or her younger brother, Muyu Yun.
The moment the two of them entered, all eyes turned toward them. They were both stunningly beautiful.
People inside stared with hungry eyes. Thankfully, Yun Luoluo was wearing a mask on her way in. Even though
she rarely went out, as a public figure, being recognized wouldn’t be good.
The two entered their reserved private room… and suddenly a group of people rushed in, bringing trays of
drinks and water.
“So much alcohol… how are we supposed to finish it all?” Yun Luoluo exclaimed.
“Easy. I called Muyu to come too!” Jiujiao said after taking a sip.
“What? You called my brother? Why? He’s just going to nag me again. I don’t get why a grown man talks so
much,” Yun Luoluo said with an annoyed look.
“Relax. He won’t say anything this time. You haven’t been home in ages, right? You’re his sister—if he nags
you, just snap back at him. Aunt and Uncle will still take your side.”
……
By the time Tingchen Lu got the message from Zui Qi, it was already evening. He said that Yanshao Gu was
back in town and the three of them should hang out—tonight at Meise.
Tingchen Lu didn’t feel like going at first, but after thinking for a moment, he decided to go.
