After Transmigrating Into a Book, I Was Forced to Play the Role of a Scumbag Alpha (GL) - Chapter 10
Chapter 10
The little girl, afraid of keeping Shen Hanzhi waiting, hurriedly changed her clothes. The bra, as Sister had said, was indeed a bit tight for her.
After putting on the dress, the little girl struggled to reach the zipper on the back. She tried several times but could not pull it up, her small face turning red with anxiety.
Finally, the little girl opened the door a crack and looked at Shen Hanzhi shyly, “Sister, can you help me zip up the dress? I can’t reach it.”
“Okay,” Shen Hanzhi smiled at the little girl, entered the room again, and closed the door.
She had the little girl brace her hands against the door while she stood behind her to zip up the dress.
Perhaps because Wen Jin had pulled too hard earlier, the zipper head got tangled with the fabric. Shen Hanzhi tried several times but could not move it.
Her knuckles lightly brushed against Wen Jin’s delicate skin, and after a few touches, it already started to redden.
Shen Hanzhi glanced at the little girl and explained, “The zipper is caught in the fabric. I’ll help you untangle it, but it might take some effort.”
As she spoke, Shen Hanzhi held the zipper head with one hand and tugged at the tangled fabric with the other. Her knuckles kept brushing against the little girl’s lower back. The little girl felt her legs weaken, her ears turning bright red, and all her senses focused on her lower back. Sister’s touch actually felt a bit pleasant?
Thinking this, the little girl’s face flushed completely. Sister was helping her, yet she was letting her mind wander. But Aunt Liu had said that after marriage, she and Sister were the closest of people, and Sister could touch her.
Shen Hanzhi was unaware of the little girl’s overthinking. She was still struggling with the zipper, pulling the fabric with one hand and yanking the zipper head upward with the other. Her knuckles grazed the little rabbit’s waist dimples, and the little girl could not hold back a soft, delicate hum.
Shen Hanzhi quickly asked, “What’s wrong? Did I pull too hard and hurt you?”
The little girl turned her head, her eyes tinged with a faint pink, her ears and cheeks flushed scarlet. Her voice was even softer than usual as she sniffled and looked at Shen Hanzhi aggrievedly, “Sister, I can’t stand anymore.”
Shen Hanzhi hurriedly wrapped an arm around the little girl to keep her from falling, ignoring the zipper. She supported the little girl’s waist with one hand, slipped the other under her knees, and lifted her into her arms.
She shook her head with a chuckle. The little rabbit was too soft; standing for just a few minutes made her legs weak?
She gently carried the little girl to the bed, laid her down on her stomach, and then had time to deal with the zipper again. Fortunately, her earlier effort had not been in vain; the fabric caught in the zipper head was free. Shen Hanzhi adjusted the angle, pulled a few more times, and finally zipped up the dress.
Shen Hanzhi let out a sigh of relief and smiled, “There, Little Jin, the zipper’s up. Next time you can’t reach it, call me sooner.”
“Thank you, Sister,” the little girl said, her face buried in the bed, not daring to look into Shen Hanzhi’s eyes. Her ears were bright red, her legs as soft as noodles, with no strength to stand.
Shen Hanzhi looked at the little girl with some confusion and reminded her, “Little Jin? Let’s go eat.”
The little girl kept her face buried in the bed and mumbled softly, “Sister, wait a moment. My legs are weak.”
Shen Hanzhi chuckled. The little rabbit was so soft; standing for a few minutes tired her out like this.
“Shall I carry you downstairs?” Shen Hanzhi asked gently.
The little girl, still buried in the bed, shook her head, her face even redder. She could walk and should not always let Sister carry her.
Shen Hanzhi saw the little girl seemed shy but could not figure out why. Still, she respected the little girl’s wishes, sat on the bed, and waited for her to calm down.
About ten minutes later, the little girl finally showed her face, sneaking a glance at Shen Hanzhi’s expression, only to be caught by her.
Shen Hanzhi smiled at the little girl, reached out to pinch her palm, and coaxed softly, “Feeling better?”
The little girl, blushing unconvincingly, nodded. Though shy, she could not look away; she loved how Sister comforted her, “I’m okay.”
“Good, let’s go eat then,” Shen Hanzhi said, taking the little girl’s hand and playing with it for a moment. She had noticed before that the little girl’s fingers were fair and slender, very beautiful.
The little girl let Shen Hanzhi hold and play with her hand without resisting. Her ears red, she struggled to stand, but lost her balance and fell into Shen Hanzhi’s arms.
Thanks to Shen Hanzhi’s quick reflexes, she caught the little girl in her arms, patted her back, and teased with a smile, “Didn’t you just say you didn’t want me to carry you?”
“Sister,” the little girl said, her eyes teary as she stared at Shen Hanzhi, murmuring coyly.
Seeing the little girl’s shyness, Shen Hanzhi stopped teasing, “Alright, let’s eat first, okay?”
“Okay,” the little girl nodded obediently, standing up from Shen Hanzhi’s arms.
Shen Hanzhi held the little girl’s hand and went downstairs, feeling quite good.
In the dining area on the first floor, Aunt Song and Aunt Yang were setting out an array of delicate breakfast dishes for Shen Hanzhi and the little girl to eat.
The original body’s three-story villa had five staff members. Yang Man and Song Huifang handled cleaning, tidying, and cooking inside the villa. Wang Haichuan was the dedicated driver. Aunt Sun Ran took care of outdoor cleaning, trimming, and watering plants. Another staff member was a security guard responsible for the villa’s daily safety.
Shen Hanzhi pulled out a chair for the little girl, let her sit, and then sat down herself.
Perhaps because the original body was used to extravagance, the breakfast filled the long table. Shen Hanzhi frowned slightly, looked at Song Huifang, and instructed, “Aunt Song, it’s just Little Jin and me. Don’t make so much food in the future; it’s too wasteful.”
Song Huifang was stunned for a moment before nodding quickly. She had mentioned this to Shen Hanzhi more than once, but each time, Shen Hanzhi said money was no issue and not to reduce the food. Over time, Song Huifang and Yang Man followed Shen Hanzhi’s orders. Though Shen Hanzhi had a bad temper, she was generous with wages. Both Song Huifang and Yang Man earned ten thousand yuan a month, and Shen Hanzhi sometimes gave extra bonuses when pleased, making her a lavish employer.
“Okay, Miss. We’ll be more careful. How about halving the dishes and food?” Song Huifang suggested quickly.
Shen Hanzhi looked at the large table and nodded. Even halved, the food would be enough for her and Wen Jin. As for the staff, they ate simpler communal meals, not as refined as theirs.
“That’s fine. Thank you. You and Aunt Yang can rest now; you don’t need to tend to us,” Shen Hanzhi said. The original body liked having people watch her eat so she could order them to fetch things. Shen Hanzhi had no such habit and felt uncomfortable with people staring while she ate.
Song Huifang and Yang Man exchanged a glance, both seeing confusion in the other’s eyes, but said nothing more and quickly left as instructed.
Shen Hanzhi saw the little girl curiously eyeing the breakfast on the table and smiled, “Eat. You can take whatever you like. Try this soup dumpling.”
Afraid the little girl was too shy, Shen Hanzhi served her one herself.
Wen Jin was hungry by now. Seeing Shen Hanzhi start eating, she obediently ate the soup dumpling. She had smelled it earlier; it was fragrant and fresh, unlike what she ate in the attic. Biting into it, rich, sweet broth burst out, something she had never tasted before.
Wen Jin looked at Shen Hanzhi, blinked at her, and Shen Hanzhi returned a smile. It seemed the task of transmigrating was quite simple. Taking care of the little rabbit for a year posed no difficulty. The only tricky part was the daily Scum Alpha point. Shen Hanzhi planned to figure out a way to manage that in the afternoon.
“Do you like sweets? Aunt Song’s fried milk is delicious, and this cold dish is sweet and sour. Try it and see if you like it,” Shen Hanzhi said, seeing the little girl was still shy to serve herself. She took a small bowl and plate, served some food, and placed it in front of the little girl.
“Thank you, Sister. It’s all delicious. I’ve never eaten a lot of these before,” the little girl said, swallowing her food eagerly and sharing with Shen Hanzhi.
“If it’s good, eat more. I’ll show you around after,” Shen Hanzhi said with a smile.
