After Transmigrating Into a Book, I Was Forced to Play the Role of a Scumbag Alpha (GL) - Chapter 11
Chapter 11
After Shen Hanzhi and the little rabbit finished breakfast, she first led the little girl outside the villa. Shen Hanzhi’s three-story villa had front and back yards, both quite spacious. The front yard had a swimming pool on one side, a large open area in the middle, and greenery planted on the right.
Shen Hanzhi held the little girl’s hand and walked to the back yard, where many flowers and plants were grown, tended by Sun Ran. When the little girl saw the greenery, her eyes lit up. She looked at Shen Hanzhi, her other hand grabbing Shen Hanzhi’s wrist and shaking it gently, “Sister, can I help you take care of these flowers and plants in the future?”
Seeing the little girl seemed very interested, Shen Hanzhi asked, “Do you like these?”
The little girl nodded, “Yes, when I was at Rose Manor, I often watched the workers plant roses. When I was little, I saw the adults planting roses, but later, I did something wrong, and Father and the others wouldn’t let me leave my room freely.”
Shen Hanzhi reached out to tidy the little girl’s hair by her ear and said softly, “From now on, you can come take care of them whenever you want without asking me. This is your home.”
Then Shen Hanzhi called out to Sun Ran, who was watering the lawn, “Aunt Sun.”
Hearing Shen Hanzhi call her, Sun Ran quickly turned off the water and walked over briskly, “Miss Shen, you called me?”
“Yes, Little Jin likes these flowers and plants and will often come to the back yard. If she wants to plant something, teach her when the time comes,” Shen Hanzhi said with a smile.
“Okay, no problem. Miss Wen can come whenever she wants,” Sun Ran replied with a quick smile.
“Aunt Sun, thank you for the trouble,” Wen Jin said, giving Sun Ran a big smile.
Sun Ran waved her hand hurriedly, “No trouble; it’s my job.”
Like Yang Man and the others, she stayed because, though the original body had a bad temper and questionable character, she never skimped on their wages. As long as they did their jobs well, their ten-thousand-yuan monthly salary arrived on time.
Shen Hanzhi led the little girl around the back yard, then took her back into the villa, explaining as they walked, “The first floor has the living room and the dining room over there. The rooms on both sides are guest rooms, but now they’re occupied by the villa’s staff. You’ve already met three of them. There’s also a driver and a bodyguard. Come, let’s go upstairs.”
Shen Hanzhi held the little girl’s hand and continued upstairs, “The second floor has our rooms on the left, and my study. The middle here is a beverage area. If you don’t want to go to the kitchen, you can find all sorts of drinks here. The right side mostly has guest rooms.”
“The third floor has a large screening room where I usually watch movies. The gym is also up there with all kinds of equipment. The remaining room is a children’s room, for a little baby’s playroom in the future,” Shen Hanzhi explained with a smile, giving the little girl a general tour of the villa.
When the little girl heard about a little baby, her ears turned bright red. Aunt Liu had said that after she and Sister slept together, it wouldn’t be long before they had a little baby.
Thinking of this, the little girl was so shy she could barely lift her head. Shen Hanzhi saw her shy expression and felt puzzled but still wrapped an arm around the little girl’s slim waist, pulling her into an embrace, “What’s wrong? Why’s your face red again? Do you love getting shy so much?”
The little girl buried her face in Shen Hanzhi’s chest, whimpering without saying a word. She realized her courage had grown. Before, when Sister hugged her, she would check Sister’s expression, but now she just let herself be hugged.
The little girl sneaked a glance at Shen Hanzhi and saw her looking down with a smile. The little girl grew even shyer, burying her face in Shen Hanzhi’s chest, not daring to show it.
Shen Hanzhi chuckled at the little girl in her arms, thinking she should give the child some sweetness first, as she might not act humanely this afternoon.
She kept one arm around the little girl’s waist, the other gently stroking her hair, and coaxed softly, “Are your legs weak again? I’ll carry you to the living room. Let’s learn to watch TV this morning.”
“I can walk myself, Sister,” the little girl mumbled in protest, her voice softer than a rabbit eating grass.
Shen Hanzhi shook her head with a chuckle, gently pushed the little girl out of her arms a bit, then bent down and lifted her into her arms.
The little girl hadn’t expected Shen Hanzhi to pick her up directly. She hurriedly wrapped her arms around Shen Hanzhi’s neck, buried her face in her shoulder, and Shen Hanzhi felt a warm breath on her shoulder from the little rabbit’s soft breathing. Her lips curved slightly, enjoying the fun of raising a little rabbit.
Shen Hanzhi walked steadily, carrying the little girl slowly to the first floor, deliberately teasing near her ear, “We’re here.”
The little girl slightly propped herself up, looked around, and saw Yang Man nearby, who seemed to have noticed them. The little girl, her face red, buried it in Shen Hanzhi’s chest again, “Sister, Aunt Yang saw you carrying me.”
Her voice carried a hint of panic, but Shen Hanzhi didn’t mind, soothing her gently, “It’s fine. We’re legally married. Isn’t it normal for me to hold you? Besides, my Little Jin can’t stand up sometimes. How could I not hold you?”
Shen Hanzhi’s words made the little girl blush like a cooked quail, her face buried in Shen Hanzhi’s chest, not daring to speak again.
Seeing the little girl’s shyness, Shen Hanzhi set her on the sofa, made sure she was steady, and sat beside her.
Feeling secure, the little girl slowly opened her eyes to look at Shen Hanzhi.
Shen Hanzhi had picked up two remote controls and explained to the little girl, “To watch TV, you need both of these remotes.”
Wen Jin nodded, recalling her time at Rose Manor. When she first arrived, she had one day a week to leave the attic and play, so she had seen a TV and knew it showed images. But she only saw it a few times as a child. Later, her father and stepmother rarely let her out, so she had no chance to interact with a TV again.
“Okay,” the little girl said, looking at the two remotes and the dense text on them. She nervously pinched her fingers, afraid that even after Sister taught her, she wouldn’t understand because she couldn’t read. Wen Jin felt scared; she was used to Sister’s gentleness and didn’t want to see disgust on her face.
Shen Hanzhi noticed the little girl’s nervousness, leaned closer, pulled her into an embrace, and said softly, “To turn on the TV, use the larger remote to switch it on first…”
Shen Hanzhi explained in detail with great patience, answering all the little girl’s questions. Operating the TV required little skill; not knowing how to read didn’t matter much, as pressing the directional buttons was enough. Shen Hanzhi let the little girl try herself.
Wen Jin took the remote, feeling it was novel. She pressed the red power button on the larger remote, waited for the TV to light up and show the menu, then used the smaller remote to change channels as Shen Hanzhi taught her. Soon, she got the hang of it and looked at Shen Hanzhi proudly.
Shen Hanzhi’s eyes curved as she praised, “Little Jin, you’re amazing. You’re already so good at it. Let’s find a channel to watch for a bit.”
Shen Hanzhi planned to watch TV with the little girl. The little girl randomly switched channels and settled on a romance drama. Shen Hanzhi sat beside her and watched.
The little girl had never watched a drama before. She chose a romance drama, and at first, the two female leads were innocently holding hands or kissing cheeks. But when the two got home, the scene suddenly became indescribable. From the hallway, they started tossing clothes and kissing passionately.
The little girl’s face turned bright red, but her eyes didn’t blink, fixed on the screen. She had never seen a drama or such intense scenes before.
Shen Hanzhi cleared her throat, hurriedly turned off the TV, and lifted the little girl into her arms, instructing like a worried mother, “Little Jin, you’re still young. You can’t be corrupted. Let’s not watch today.”
“Sister, I’m an adult,” the little girl said, not understanding why Sister turned off the TV. But before she could think more, Sister carried her upstairs.
As Shen Hanzhi walked upstairs, she thought about how TV shows were too explicit nowadays. The little white rabbit was so innocent; how could she watch that? She was breaking her heart worrying about her.
