After Transmigrating Into a Book, I Was Forced to Play the Role of a Scumbag Alpha (GL) - Chapter 20
Chapter 20
Wen Jin’s ear tips turned red as she watched. The two girls in the drama kissed so intensely. Was this the kissing Aunt Liu talked about? The more Wen Jin watched, the more curious she became. Shen Hanzhi quickly covered the little girl’s eyes with one hand and hurriedly pressed exit with the other, finally letting out a sigh of relief.
The little girl looked up at Shen Hanzhi, seemingly confused about why she wasn’t allowed to watch. “Sister, I haven’t finished watching it.”
“That’s a bit inappropriate for kids. You’re still young, so you can’t watch that. Let’s find something else.” Shen Hanzhi said and randomly picked an animated movie, ‘The Lion King’, to play. A movie like this was definitely safe.
“Let’s watch this. It can help you learn about animals, and it’s really fun.” Shen Hanzhi quickly explained. The little white rabbit was so innocent; she definitely shouldn’t watch those things. An animated movie was better.
Wen Jin hummed a few times reluctantly in Shen Hanzhi’s arms but was soothed when Shen Hanzhi rubbed the top of her head. She had never seen animated movies before and soon got immersed in it, occasionally asking Shen Hanzhi what animals were in it.
Shen Hanzhi patiently answered the little girl and smiled. “In a few days, I’ll take you to the zoo to see real ones. Some animals are very cute, but some, like lions and tigers, are dangerous and can eat people.”
The little girl got scared and shrank into Shen Hanzhi’s arms. Seeing the timid little rabbit, Shen Hanzhi’s heart softened.
After watching the movie with the little girl, it was almost ten o’clock. Shen Hanzhi instructed, “If this grid turns red, it means the phone is out of battery. I’ll plug in the charger for you. Just insert this cable into the phone’s base here. This is a fast charger, so it’ll be fully charged in less than an hour, and you can use it again.”
“Okay, Sister, are we going to sleep now?” The little girl snuggled closer into Shen Hanzhi’s arms, clinging tightly to her.
Shen Hanzhi rubbed the little girl’s back and smiled. “It’s getting late. I’ll go back to my room. You should sleep early too.”
The little girl’s arms around Shen Hanzhi’s neck tightened, and she said urgently, “Sister, aren’t you staying with me?”
Shen Hanzhi gently patted the little girl a few times and coaxed softly, “Even wives need personal space. I said yesterday that we’ll sleep together once we’re completely comfortable with each other. I’m just next door. If anything happens, call me or phone me.”
“But, but…” The little girl stammered, unsure how to argue with Shen Hanzhi. Maybe all wives slowly started sleeping together like this?
Shen Hanzhi touched the top of the little girl’s head to comfort her. “See you tomorrow morning.”
“See you tomorrow morning.” The little girl’s nose twitched, her gaze glued to Shen Hanzhi, reluctant to let her go.
Shen Hanzhi got off the bed, gently poked the little girl’s dimple, and smiled. “Good night. The little rabbit needs to sleep early.”
“Good night, Sister.” The little girl obediently curled up in bed and said good night to Shen Hanzhi.
Shen Hanzhi left the room, shaking her head with a wry smile. She had no desires and never thought about romance. Otherwise, with such a cute little rabbit, anyone else would have already taken full advantage of her.
In the room, Wen Jin lay on the bed for a while, then hugged the blanket Shen Hanzhi had used and rolled around. Something felt off. Aunt Liu had said wives should sleep together.
But the little girl wasn’t sure. After all, she hadn’t left Rose Manor for over a decade and didn’t understand many things. Thinking of this, her gaze fell on the phone. She was an adult, so why didn’t Sister let her watch that drama? The drama clearly showed a pair of wives too.
The little girl sneaked a glance at the door, seeing that Shen Hanzhi had closed it when she left. She took out the phone, found the drama, and buried her face in the pillow, muttering, “Sister, I’m an adult. I can watch it.”
She opened the phone, lowered the volume to avoid being too loud, and dragged the progress bar to the equipment room scene. Shen Hanzhi had taught her how to do this, and she knew how.
On the screen, the two girls quickly started kissing. The taller senior even slid her hand under the junior’s shirt hem. The junior, pinned against the door, let out soft, delicate hums. The little girl’s face turned red.
Soon, the senior began kissing the junior’s neck. The junior called out “Sister” in a broken, restrained voice. The little girl didn’t understand what the junior was holding back.
But it didn’t stop her face from turning even redder. She thought of herself and Shen Hanzhi—she also called Shen Hanzhi “Sister.”
The little girl rolled on the bed with the phone, feeling shy but unable to stop watching. Soon, someone knocked on the equipment room door, saying they needed sports equipment.
The senior lifted the junior, adjusted her clothes and messy hair, and sat her on a nearby stool. The senior then calmly opened the door, acting as if nothing had happened, while the junior sat with legs so weak from kissing she could barely stand.
The little girl recalled when Sister helped zip up her dress last time. It didn’t hurt, but when Sister’s knuckles brushed her lower back twice, she couldn’t stand steady. Thinking of that feeling now made her legs weak.
She shook her head, urging herself not to think about Shen Hanzhi, and patiently continued watching. On the screen, the senior returned to her aloof, scholarly demeanor, as if she hadn’t just pinned and kissed the junior.
The little girl found it interesting and watched eagerly. Before she knew it, she finished an episode. The senior and junior weren’t openly together, but their subtle interactions felt sweet. The little girl rolled in the blankets, but thinking of school dimmed the light in her eyes.
Everyone else had gone to school, but she didn’t even know how to read. Would Sister really keep liking her and not send her away?
The little girl sighed, burying her face in the blanket. She told herself not to lose heart. Even watching TV could teach her things. If she learned a bit every day, she’d eventually be no different from others. She didn’t want to leave Sister.
After Shen Hanzhi returned to her room, she received a call from Wen Hengqiu.
“Hanzhi, tomorrow is the third day since you and Little Jin got married. It’s time for the return visit. I’ve arranged it at Rose Manor. When do you two have time to come back?” Wen Hengqiu’s tone carried a hint of flattery.
“Tomorrow at noon. We’ll come over, eat lunch, and leave.” Shen Hanzhi thought for a moment and replied. She wanted to meet the Wen family in person to see who needed to be dealt with.
“Good, good. We’ll wait for you and Little Jin. Dad will hang up now and won’t disturb your rest with Little Jin.” Wen Hengqiu casually called himself “Dad.”
Shen Hanzhi ignored him and hung up the phone directly.
