After Transmigrating Into a Book, I Was Forced to Play the Role of a Scumbag Alpha (GL) - Chapter 25
Chapter 25
“Sister.” Sitting on Sister’s lap in the living room, the little girl shyly buried her face in Shen Hanzhi’s arms.
Shen Hanzhi stroked the little girl’s back and said softly, “My little rabbit is so cute.”
Shen Hanzhi’s hand slid down and touched a round, fluffy ball. She looked down and saw it was the little white rabbit’s tail. This nightgown was quite thoughtful, with a fluffy tail attached.
“Sister, what did you touch?” The little girl only felt Shen Hanzhi tugging at her dress, unaware of what she was pulling.
Shen Hanzhi chuckled, pinched the fluffy rabbit tail, and smiled. “Look for yourself.”
The little girl turned her head curiously and saw a round fluffy ball in Sister’s hand. Having never seen a real rabbit, she asked curiously, “Sister, what’s this?”
Shen Hanzhi laughed at the little girl’s reaction, hugged her, and chuckled for a while before saying softly, “This is a little rabbit’s tail. Unlike other small animals, a rabbit’s tail is this short. Isn’t it cute?”
Seeing Shen Hanzhi happy, Wen Jin nodded too. Because of Aunt Liu’s matter, the little girl desperately wanted to do something for Shen Hanzhi but didn’t know what she could do. She had nothing but herself.
The little girl wrapped her arms around Shen Hanzhi’s neck, her bright eyes looking at her, her voice soft and sweet. “Sister, from now on, I’m your little rabbit.”
As she spoke, the little girl snuggled closer into Shen Hanzhi’s arms. Shen Hanzhi looked at the soft, delicate little rabbit in her arms, her heart melting. Only her upright character kept her in check. If it were someone else, such an obedient little rabbit would surely be bullied thoroughly in their arms.
“Okay, Little Jin is my little white rabbit.” Shen Hanzhi said, lifting Wen Jin and heading upstairs.
Aunt Yang and Aunt Song were on the first floor. Neither was deaf, and they heard Shen Hanzhi and Wen Jin’s conversation.
But those working in the villa were discreet. The two exchanged a glance but said nothing, though both noticed Shen Hanzhi had changed a lot these past few days.
Shen Hanzhi carried the little girl back to her room. She hadn’t changed yet and planned to return to her room to change.
Wen Jin grabbed Shen Hanzhi’s wrist, reluctant to let her go. “Sister, where are you going?”
“I’m going to my room to take a bath. There’s nothing this afternoon, so I won’t go out. How about I teach you to write after we wake up?” Shen Hanzhi poked Wen Jin’s dimple and smiled.
“Okay.” The little girl nodded, her eyes reluctantly watching Shen Hanzhi.
Shen Hanzhi laughed at the little girl’s reaction, gently pinching her cheek. “I’ll be right back. Play by yourself for a bit.”
The little girl nodded, leaned on the cushion, and played the match-three game, her eyes occasionally glancing at the door, afraid Shen Hanzhi wouldn’t come to keep her company.
Half an hour later, Shen Hanzhi changed into a nightgown and entered the little girl’s room. The little white rabbit was obediently leaning there, playing with her phone.
Shen Hanzhi got on the bed and sat beside the little rabbit. Feeling Shen Hanzhi approach, the little rabbit immediately turned, wrapped her arms around Shen Hanzhi’s neck, and expertly leaned into her arms.
Shen Hanzhi’s eyes blinked slightly. The little rabbit adapted quickly, from being afraid of her at first to now clinging to her neck and acting coy.
“Sister, are you napping with me?” The little girl gently rubbed against Shen Hanzhi’s shoulder, her warm breath hitting Shen Hanzhi’s exposed neck and shoulder, making her feel ticklish.
Reminded by the little girl, Shen Hanzhi realized it was indeed naptime.
Wen Jin looked up at Shen Hanzhi for a while. Seeing no response, she grew anxious, tightening her arms around Shen Hanzhi’s neck and rubbing her cheek against her neck twice. “Sister, why aren’t you talking?”
Shen Hanzhi felt the little girl’s rubs on her neck, like a kitten’s claws scratching her heart, ticklish. But the little white rabbit was so innocent; these actions were surely instinctive. A little rabbit wouldn’t know how to flirt.
Wen Jin sneaked a glance at Shen Hanzhi’s expression. Rubbing her face against her neck was something she learned from last night’s drama. The junior did it to act coy with the senior, who got happy afterward. She wanted to make Sister happy too.
But thinking of the kissing in the drama, the little girl felt shy and didn’t dare kiss Shen Hanzhi. Sister hadn’t reacted for so long—did she not like it?
As the little girl began to doubt, Shen Hanzhi rubbed the top of her head and smiled. “Okay, I’ll nap with you. Who can resist my little rabbit acting so coy?”
“Sister.” Wen Jin’s bright eyes looked at Shen Hanzhi. Seeing her happy, she rubbed against her again to act coy.
Shen Hanzhi gently tapped the little girl’s nose and smiled. “Sleep early. We’ll get up around two to learn writing.”
Shen Hanzhi lay down with the little girl in her arms. The little girl naturally leaned into her, finding a comfortable position, her bright eyes staring at Shen Hanzhi. This was the first time Sister napped with her. The drama was right—the senior liked the junior’s coyness, and Sister liked her coyness too!
Shen Hanzhi had no idea what the little white rabbit watched secretly last night. She just thought the little rabbit in her arms was adorable. “Lower the AC by one degree, or it’s too hot holding you like this.”
“Not hot. I want to sleep with you.” The little girl clung tightly to Shen Hanzhi, showing no intention of letting go.
Shen Hanzhi shook her head with a wry smile. “Okay, we’ll sleep together.”
Shen Hanzhi deftly lowered the temperature, holding the clingy little white rabbit. After spending these days with Wen Jin, Shen Hanzhi felt having a little white rabbit around was nice—obedient, coy, and even her red, teary eyes were cute.
Unable to resist, Shen Hanzhi petted Wen Jin, her arms gently stroking the little girl’s waist and back. A little white rabbit should be held and petted like this.
The little girl obediently let Shen Hanzhi stroke her back, her ear tips slightly red. It was fine when Sister touched her back, but when she touched her lower waist, Wen Jin’s legs felt weak, and something felt off in her body. She couldn’t pinpoint what was wrong.
Finally, the little girl attributed it to ticklishness. “Sister, it tickles.”
“No more teasing. Let’s sleep.” Shen Hanzhi pulled the little girl closer and closed her eyes to rest.
Seeing Shen Hanzhi close her eyes, the little girl stared at her intently. She felt she had so much to learn, especially from that drama. It was so useful!
Wen Jin woke up before two, having risen late that morning. Held in Shen Hanzhi’s arms, she felt so comfortable she didn’t want to get up.
Seeing Shen Hanzhi sleeping soundly, Wen Jin stared at her with bright eyes. Her wife was too beautiful, with a good temper and always comforting her. The little girl’s heart felt like it was dipped in honey, so sweet it overflowed. She couldn’t bear to look away from Shen Hanzhi.
Afraid of waking Shen Hanzhi, Wen Jin didn’t dare move, only tracing Shen Hanzhi’s features with her eyes, growing more captivated. She now understood why the senior and junior in the drama liked kissing. Hugging alone wasn’t enough to express how much she liked Sister.
Stared at so intensely, Shen Hanzhi seemed to sense it and opened her eyes groggily, seeing the little girl’s bright eyes fixed on her.
Shen Hanzhi rubbed the top of the little girl’s head and smiled. “Awake for long?”
“Not long, just a bit.” Wen Jin snuggled into Shen Hanzhi’s arms, her face pressed tightly against her neck, not wanting to part even a little.
Seeing the little rabbit so clingy, Shen Hanzhi chuckled. “Is my little rabbit this attached to me?”
“Yes, I miss Sister.” The little girl’s bright eyes looked at Shen Hanzhi, her voice soft and delicate.
Shen Hanzhi petted the little rabbit a few times, her hand gently rubbing the little girl’s soft hair, which felt comfortable to touch.
“Thirsty? Want some water before we start learning to write?” Shen Hanzhi whispered softly in Wen Jin’s ear.
“Okay.” The little girl hummed twice, lingering in Shen Hanzhi’s arms without getting up.
Shen Hanzhi chuckled and gently patted the little girl twice. “Want me to carry you to get water?”
“No, I can walk.” The little girl replied shyly. Though she liked Sister carrying her, she feared Sister would think her too delicate if she was always carried.
Shen Hanzhi laughed at the little rabbit. She said she could walk but showed no intention of getting up from her arms.
Shen Hanzhi sat up, holding the little girl. The little girl reluctantly got up, put on her slippers, and waited for Shen Hanzhi.
Shen Hanzhi took the obedient little girl’s hand, and they went to the second-floor pantry. On the table were two new rabbit-shaped cups with lids, each with rabbit ears on top.
“Want plain water or a drink?” Shen Hanzhi asked softly.
“Plain water is fine. Sister, I’ll do it.” The little girl said obediently, taking her rabbit cup to fill with warm water. Her eyes fell on Shen Hanzhi’s matching cup, and they curved slightly.
Sister’s cup was slightly different—her rabbit had a serious face, while Wen Jin’s had a smiling one.
Shen Hanzhi drank a few sips of warm water and turned to see the little girl watching her. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
“Nothing.” The little girl hurriedly lifted her cup, quickly finishing the water.
Seeing the little girl shy, Shen Hanzhi didn’t tease her and took her wrist to the study.
The study was also Shen Hanzhi’s office, where the original body sometimes held remote meetings.
Upon entering, a wall of bookshelves greeted them. In front was Shen Hanzhi’s desk, with a computer and books and documents the original body often read.
Shen Hanzhi tidied the desk, putting financial books back on the shelf and grabbing several blank A4 papers. She pulled a stool for the little girl to sit beside her boss’s chair.
Shen Hanzhi took two pens from the holder, handed one to Wen Jin, and explained, “Before learning to write, the most important step is holding the pen. It mainly involves three fingers working together: thumb, index, and middle. Look, the index and thumb pinch the pen like this, and the middle finger supports it.”
Shen Hanzhi looked at the little girl, seeing her posture was fairly standard. Still, she leaned over, circling the little girl from behind, and adjusted her fingers bit by bit.
Held in Shen Hanzhi’s arms like this, the little girl’s ear tips turned red. Sister was holding her hand, and being hugged from behind felt so comfortable.
The little girl looked up, staring intently at Shen Hanzhi. Seeing her looking again, Shen Hanzhi pinched her cheek, her fingertip lightly brushing her dimple, and smiled. “The little rabbit isn’t behaving. Learn the pen grip first. No sneaking looks at me.”
“I wasn’t sneaking. You’re my wife.” The little girl mumbled, her voice quieter than a mosquito’s. Shen Hanzhi didn’t catch what she said, only finding the little rabbit’s muttering adorable.
