After Transmigrating Into a Book, I Was Forced to Play the Role of a Scumbag Alpha (GL) - Chapter 32
Chapter 32
“Be good, the teacher will be here soon.” Shen Hanzhi rubbed the little girl’s head, coaxing her softly.
The little girl whimpered and scooted closer to Shen Hanzhi, resting her head on Shen Hanzhi’s lap, looking at her with grievance. “Sister, aren’t you teaching me anymore?”
“I’m not as systematic as a professional teacher. With a teacher, you’ll adapt to life outside in a few months.” Shen Hanzhi gently rubbed the little girl’s dimple with her thumb, speaking softly.
“Okay.” The little girl whimpered and nestled closer into Shen Hanzhi’s arms.
Shen Hanzhi chuckled, watching the little rabbit act spoiled in her arms, and teased, “Do I need to carry you to wash up?”
The little girl whimpered twice, too shy to agree, and obediently got up, looking at Shen Hanzhi with bright eyes. “I’ll go myself.”
“Okay, I’ll wait here for you.” Shen Hanzhi shook her head with a smile.
The little girl was in a great mood. Her sister hadn’t scolded her yet today, so she’d cling to her and act spoiled after the scolding.
Shen Hanzhi waited a bit, and the little rabbit finished washing up, wearing a pure white cinched-waist dress. With a teacher coming, she couldn’t wear pajamas.
Shen Hanzhi waved to the little girl. “Alright, let’s go eat breakfast.”
The little girl followed Shen Hanzhi downstairs. Yang Man and the others prepared crab roe soup dumplings for breakfast. The little girl, still sleepy, took a bite and was awakened by the delicious aroma, her eyes sparkling. “Sister, this is so tasty.”
“If it’s tasty, eat more. I want to fatten up my little rabbit.” Shen Hanzhi said with a light laugh.
“No way, I don’t want to be too round.” The little girl mumbled in protest.
Shen Hanzhi’s eyes curved. Her little rabbit was no longer timid like when she first arrived and even talked back now.
After breakfast, Shen Hanzhi and Wen Jin waited in the living room. Wen Jin’s teacher soon arrived.
“President Shen, I’m here to teach Miss Wen. My name is Lu Wenzhu.” The speaker was a gentle-looking omega in a light floral dress, her eyes smiling, hair loosely draped, seeming easy to talk to.
“Hello, I’ll trouble you with Little Jin. My assistant should’ve told you to start from the basics. Thank you, Teacher Lu.” Shen Hanzhi said with a smile.
“No trouble. I’ll help Miss Wen master these skills quickly. Don’t worry, President Shen.” Lu Wenzhu smiled at Shen Hanzhi, then at Wen Jin.
“I’ll study hard.” The little girl, still nervous around strangers, clasped her hands together.
“Good. Let Little Jin take you to the study, Teacher Lu. I have guest rooms here. Eat lunch with us and rest in a guest room, or going back and forth might tire you.” Shen Hanzhi thought and said.
“Thank you, President Shen.” Lu Wenzhu said with a smile.
Lu Wenzhu used to teach at a training center in Nandu City. Her good temper and teaching skills earned her a reputation, so she left to work independently. Even then, many sought her tutoring. She had just finished a previous job, and Shen Hanzhi’s high pay brought her here.
“Miss Wen, let’s go to the study.” Lu Wenzhu smiled at Wen Jin, showing kindness, sensing her tension.
“Teacher Lu, call me Little Jin. Let’s go.” The little girl said shyly, thinking the teacher seemed nice.
“Okay.” Lu Wenzhu smiled in response.
Lu Wenzhu had her own method for teaching children. She planned to teach pinyin in the morning and math in the afternoon.
Lu Wenzhu was very patient, guiding the little girl through pinyin repeatedly. With an adult’s comprehension, Wen Jin recognized all pinyin in one morning. Combining them to read was the next step, but Lu Wenzhu wasn’t in a hurry.
They stopped around noon. Shen Hanzhi, seeing the time, went upstairs and knocked lightly. “Little Jin, Teacher Lu, time for lunch. Rest after eating, then continue.”
Lu Wenzhu opened the door, smiling. “Okay, Little Jin learns fast. She’s basically mastered pinyin this morning.”
“Really?” Shen Hanzhi smiled at the little girl, who was looking at her.
Shen Hanzhi waved, took the little girl’s hand, and led Lu Wenzhu to the dining room.
The three sat down, and Yang Man and the others served a lavish meal.
Shen Hanzhi, worried Lu Wenzhu might feel uneasy, said, “Teacher Lu, treat this like home. Don’t be shy.”
“Okay, thank you, President Shen. I can manage.” Lu Wenzhu replied politely.
Shen Hanzhi started peeling shrimp, filling a small bowl with shrimp meat, adding dipping sauce, and placing it before the little girl. “Little Jin, try some shrimp. They’re fresh from this morning.”
The little girl, used to Shen Hanzhi’s feeding, ate naturally. “Sister, the shrimp are sweet and delicious.”
“If they’re delicious, eat more. I’ll peel more.” Shen Hanzhi said with a smile.
Lu Wenzhu watched them, feeling full from their sweetness alone.
It was odd. Shen Hanzhi was prominent in Nandu City but had a bad reputation for being a player. Yet now, she seemed nothing like that, and she and her wife appeared very sweet.
Shen Hanzhi comforted the little girl for a while, then remembered the third person at the table, saying, “Teacher Lu, eat more. You’ve worked hard.”
“Okay, President Shen, don’t mind me.” Lu Wenzhu said with a smile.
After lunch, Shen Hanzhi had Yang Man take Lu Wenzhu to a guest room to nap. With the teacher gone, the little girl threw herself into Shen Hanzhi’s arms, acting spoiled. “Sister, Teacher Lu praised me for being smart.”
Shen Hanzhi rubbed the little girl’s head, laughing. “Yes, my little white rabbit is the smartest.”
“Sister, I missed you. Can you stay with me at noon?” The little rabbit looked at Shen Hanzhi with bright eyes, her arms tightly around Shen Hanzhi’s waist.
Looking at the soft, cute rabbit in her arms, Shen Hanzhi couldn’t refuse and nodded. “Okay, let’s nap together.”
After agreeing, Shen Hanzhi saw the little rabbit had no intention of leaving her arms. She leaned close to the little rabbit’s ear, asking softly, “What’s wrong? Little lazy rabbit doesn’t want to walk? Shall I carry you to your room?”
The little girl’s ears turned red. She wanted her sister to carry her but was too shy to say, burying her face in Shen Hanzhi’s chest, rubbing and acting spoiled.
After days with the little rabbit, Shen Hanzhi was familiar with her antics. She gently pushed the little rabbit back, bent down, and lifted her horizontally.
Wen Jin wrapped her arms tightly around Shen Hanzhi, looking at her with bright eyes, her cheeks slightly red. She leaned in and kissed Shen Hanzhi’s cheek.
Shen Hanzhi didn’t expect the little rabbit to kiss her suddenly and looked down at her.
Wen Jin, shyly rubbing against Shen Hanzhi’s neck, said, “This is a reward for Sister.”
Shen Hanzhi shook her head with a chuckle, then asked curiously, “Where did you learn this?”
The little girl mumbled softly, “Other wives do this. I didn’t learn it anywhere.”
She wouldn’t tell her sister she secretly watched the senior-junior drama.
Shen Hanzhi didn’t think much of it. Girls kissing cheeks wasn’t a big deal, not like marking.
She carried the little rabbit to the bedroom, set her down, and said, “I’ll change into pajamas and come back to stay with you.”
“Okay.” Wen Jin nodded, winking at Shen Hanzhi.
Seeing Shen Hanzhi leave, Wen Jin took her white rabbit nightgown, changed, and sat obediently on the bed’s headboard, waiting for Shen Hanzhi.
When Shen Hanzhi entered, she saw the little girl in her rabbit nightgown again. Her eyes curved. “Little rabbit, come, let’s nap.”
“Sister~” The little girl expertly threw herself into Shen Hanzhi’s arms. Shen Hanzhi held the little rabbit as they lay down, noticing she was clingier than before, and pinched her dimple with a chuckle.
Wen Jin noticed Shen Hanzhi loved poking her right dimple, so she offered her right cheek. “Sister, noon kiss, kiss here.”
She pointed to her dimple, signaling Shen Hanzhi to kiss there.
Shen Hanzhi didn’t expect the little rabbit to learn about noon kisses in a few days and asked curiously, “Little Jin, where did you learn about noon kisses?”
The little girl’s eyes darted, looking at Shen Hanzhi innocently. “I learned it from ‘Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf’.”
Shen Hanzhi hadn’t watched ‘Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf’ closely but knew Red Wolf and Grey Wolf were a couple. Maybe they had a noon kiss?
To Shen Hanzhi, the little white rabbit was the sweetest and most obedient, likely corrupted by cartoons. “Cartoons show this? You should stick to ‘Peppa Pig’ from now on.”
“Sister, noon kiss.” The little girl stared at Shen Hanzhi with sparkling eyes, propping up her right cheek.
Shen Hanzhi couldn’t resist those starry eyes, gave in, leaned in, and kissed the little girl’s dimple.
The little girl, kissed, was delighted, returned a kiss to Shen Hanzhi’s cheek, then closed her eyes, nestling in her arms.
Shen Hanzhi looked at the cheeky little rabbit in her arms, shook her head with a chuckle, and decided to screen the cartoons for her little rabbit.
She hugged the little white rabbit tightly, closed her eyes, and started to drift off.
Wen Jin, smiling, buried her face in Shen Hanzhi’s arms. She loved her sister holding her like this. By evening, when her sister scolded her, she’d have to comfort her.
Just thinking about it thrilled the little rabbit. She could ask her sister for more kisses to comfort her and even get a goodnight kiss, making her so happy. The afternoon’s studies and the banquet now felt exciting.
At two o’clock, Shen Hanzhi’s alarm rang. She looked at the little rabbit, still rubbing against her, unwilling to get up. Shen Hanzhi rubbed her head, coaxing softly, “It’s two. Time to get up. Wash your face to wake up. Teacher Lu will continue your lesson soon.”
Hearing the teacher was waiting, the little girl obediently got up to wash. Shen Hanzhi also went to her room to wash and change, telling Zhang Lilin to have the clothing and styling team come at 4:30, as earlier would clash with the little girl’s lesson.
The little girl learned a lot in the morning and was confident in the afternoon. Teacher Lu’s good temper and patient teaching made Wen Jin like her.
By four o’clock, the little girl had learned vertical addition and subtraction within one hundred. She rushed to share with Shen Hanzhi.
“Sister, I can do addition and subtraction within one hundred. Teacher Lu teaches so well.” The little girl said with bright eyes.
Lu Wenzhu, behind Wen Jin, smiled and nodded at Shen Hanzhi. “President Shen, I’ll head out now and come back tomorrow morning. You and Little Jin stay busy.”
“Okay, take care.”
“Take care, Teacher Lu.” Wen Jin quickly added. Learning made her happy; she wasn’t the fool Wen Kai claimed, just untaught. With learning, she picked things up fast.
Shen Hanzhi poked the little girl’s dimple, teasing, “Learning something made the little rabbit happy again?”
“Yes, Teacher Lu teaches well, but Sister is the best.” The little girl looked at Shen Hanzhi with starry eyes, overwhelming her.
Aunt Liu, preparing to pick up her daughter, saw Wen Jin and Shen Hanzhi’s interaction and smiled. Though they didn’t share a room, Shen Hanzhi clearly pampered Little Jin.
Aunt Liu told Shen Hanzhi and rode her scooter out of the villa gate. Soon after, a business van entered the villa courtyard, and several people got out, led by Zhang Lilin.
Shen Hanzhi hadn’t been to the company in days. Usually, she went every couple of days, but this time was longer, making Zhang Lilin uneasy.
She led the group into the villa, seeing a young female omega leaning in Shen Hanzhi’s arms, Shen Hanzhi smiling and talking to her.
Seeing Zhang Lilin and the others, Shen Hanzhi said, “Come in. Did you bring the clothing and accessories?”
“Don’t worry, President Shen. I’ve arranged everything.” Zhang Lilin said quickly.
“Good. We’ll try on the clothes and come down for makeup.” Shen Hanzhi said, taking Wen Jin’s hand and having the clothes sent to the bedroom.
For the charity banquet, the stylist prepared matching black and white dresses for Shen Hanzhi and Wen Jin. Shen Hanzhi instructed the stylist to ensure comfortable high heels, and they followed her request.
Shen Hanzhi changed into her black dress, checked the mirror, and found it suited her skin and aura. The dress wasn’t plain black, adorned with feather patterns, highlighting its elegance and high cost.
Shen Hanzhi adjusted her look, then went to the little girl’s room.
Wen Jin had changed into her white dress, also with feather patterns, enhancing her fair, ethereal beauty.
Seeing Shen Hanzhi looking at her, Wen Jin approached. “Sister, does it look good?”
“It looks great. My Little Jin looks good in anything.” Shen Hanzhi replied softly.
The stylist, not new to working with Shen Hanzhi, was surprised by her gentleness with Wen Jin but said nothing.
When Shen Hanzhi led Wen Jin downstairs, the makeup artists were ready, seating them for makeup.
Zhang Lilin stood behind Shen Hanzhi and Wen Jin, frowning at Wen Jin. She heard Shen Hanzhi hadn’t gone out drinking, staying home for Wen Jin. What was so special about this Wen family waste that Shen Hanzhi stayed with her daily?
Zhang Lilin’s hand clenched slowly. She disliked this unpredictability. Before, Shen Hanzhi, though playful, kept an ambiguous connection with her, entrusting her with major company tasks, proving her importance. Now, being outdone by a waste like Wen Jin was unbearable.
She hid her disdain, sitting aside, waiting for their makeup to finish.
By six, the makeup artists completed their work. Shen Hanzhi’s hair ends were slightly curled, draped over her shoulders. Wen Jin’s hair was tied up, topped with a platinum diamond crown.
The hairstylist left some loose strands at Wen Jin’s temples, making her look lively and playful.
Shen Hanzhi’s eyes lit up at her little rabbit. She was clearly her little princess, too beautiful.
Seeing Shen Hanzhi staring, Wen Jin, in her high heels, took a few steps forward, smiling. “Sister, do you like it?”
“I love it. It’s beautiful.” Shen Hanzhi wanted to rub the little girl’s head but, mindful of her hairstyle, held her hand and squeezed it.
Her Little Jin, truly the heroine, had unmatched beauty in Nandu City.
Zhang Lilin, watching their interaction, nearly gritted her teeth. She thought Wen Jin, locked up by the Wen family for years, would be foolish, but this little vixen was quite seductive, and alphas fell for it.
“Secretary Zhang, have the car prepared. It’s an hour to the venue, plus the red carpet. Don’t delay.” Shen Hanzhi glanced at Zhang Lilin, subtly shielding the little girl.
Zhang Lilin, realizing her slip, quickly composed herself. “Yes, President Shen. I’ll arrange it. The vice presidents and I will wait inside.”
Shen Hanzhi nodded. The charity banquet was a gathering of powers to network. She and Wen Jin would walk the red carpet for show, while the company’s vice presidents handled business connections inside.
Shen Hanzhi and Wen Jin got into the car. The little girl nervously gripped Shen Hanzhi’s hand.
Feeling the little girl’s cold hand, Shen Hanzhi said softly, “Don’t be scared. I’m here. Just stay by my side.”
“Okay, I’ll follow Sister.” The little girl replied softly. It was her first outing with her sister since their marriage, and she didn’t want to embarrass Shen Hanzhi, so she was nervous.
The car soon stopped at the entrance, where the red carpet was laid out. Shen Hanzhi led the little girl out, walking slowly to the venue, waving to cameras. The little girl mimicked Shen Hanzhi, staying close, less nervous than in the car.
At the signing area, representing the group, Shen Hanzhi signed the Shen Corporation’s name and led the little girl inside.
Inside, many were already networking. The little girl, a bit uneasy, gripped Shen Hanzhi’s hand tighter.
Seeing her nervousness, Shen Hanzhi squeezed her palm to comfort her. “Don’t be afraid. They’re just irrelevant people.”
She took a glass of orange juice from a server for the little girl and a glass of red wine for herself.
The little girl curiously eyed Shen Hanzhi’s red wine. “Sister, what are you drinking? Why’s it different from mine?”
Shen Hanzhi smiled and explained, “This is red wine. You haven’t had it before and might get drunk. When we’re home, I’ll let you try if you want.”
Many eyes watched Shen Hanzhi and Wen Jin, doubting Shen Hanzhi’s bad reputation meant she’d settled for Wen Jin, thinking she was just acting.
Soon, someone approached. It was Yue Bai, CEO of Feihong Group. Shen Hanzhi recalled him from her original memories after a few seconds.
Yue Bai, a male alpha, grew up compared to Shen Hanzhi in Nandu City’s elite circle. Shen Hanzhi, despite her volatile and playboy nature, was sharp, outshining Yue Bai, who saw her as a rival, often sabotaging the Shen Corporation. Shen Hanzhi retaliated, and they maintained a calm facade while clashing privately.
Yue Bai approached, raising his glass gentlemanly. “President Shen, I’ve been busy and forgot to congratulate you. Happy marriage. This must be Mrs. Shen?”
“You’re too kind, President Yue. We have matters to attend to. Excuse us.” Shen Hanzhi said, leading the little girl to the lounge sofa. Yue Bai barely appeared in the original story, but after two sentences, Shen Hanzhi sensed he wasn’t good, especially since he kept eyeing her little rabbit, which she disliked.
As Shen Hanzhi held Wen Jin, she whispered, “If I’m not around, beware of bad people. That guy staring at you isn’t good.”
The little girl nodded obediently. If her sister said he was bad, he was bad. “I’ll be careful.”
