After Transmigrating Into a Book, I Was Forced to Play the Role of a Scumbag Alpha (GL) - Chapter 41
Chapter 41
After dinner in the evening, Little Rabbit returned to her room and changed into a white rabbit nightgown. She wore a silk nightgown, and her white rabbit underwear was teased by Sister, who said it was not as good as her rabbit nightgown.
After changing into the nightgown, Little Rabbit ran to Shen Hanzhi’s room to find Shen Hanzhi. Shen Hanzhi was taking a shower in the bathroom, so Little Rabbit took Shen Hanzhi’s tablet and played a drama about a senior and a junior. The sound of water in the bathroom was loud, so if she kept her voice low, Sister probably could not hear.
In the drama, the junior was transferred to work as a secretary for the senior. They were very professional at work, especially when others were around, and their relationship remained undiscovered after the junior had interned at the senior’s company for a month.
At noon, the junior brought food from outside and locked the office door casually.
The senior noticed this, a faint smile appeared in her eyes, and she stared at the junior, waiting to see what new trick the junior would pull.
The junior slowly placed the food from the bag on a nearby coffee table, then walked to the senior formally and asked, “Vice President, I brought back the food from the hotel. Would you like to eat now or later?”
The senior’s gaze swept over the junior, pulling her closer and raising an eyebrow to ask, “When do you want to eat?”
“Vice President, don’t do this. Someone might see us,” the junior said, pretending to be flustered while pushing the senior’s arm around her.
The senior cooperatively pulled her closer, hooking an arm around her, and the junior, who was already unsteady, sat directly in the senior’s lap.
The junior’s deer-like eyes looked flustered as she gently pushed the senior and said nervously, “Vice President, what are you doing? We can’t do this. It’s not good.”
The senior pulled her closer again, reached to close the electric blinds behind them, then moved to undo the junior’s hip-hugging skirt while leaning in to kiss her lips, saying, “Be good. Once your internship is over, I’ll let you join the company directly.”
The junior paused while grabbing the senior’s hand, looked at her with deer-like eyes, and asked uncertainly, “Really, Vice President? I’ve never had a girlfriend before. Can you be gentle later? I’m scared.”
As she spoke, the junior actively unbuttoned her blouse. The senior’s eyes darkened slightly, one hand pressing the junior’s slim waist while eagerly kissing her, and somehow, the junior was already lifted onto the desk.
At this point, the junior still dutifully whispered, “Vice President, the documents on the desk.”
“It’s fine, don’t worry about them,” the senior said urgently, her kisses heavier than usual.
The scene then shifted to the blinds, accompanied by their panting sounds and the junior’s soft reminder, “Vice President, my skirt is still on.”
“It’s fine, you don’t need to take it off…”
Soon, the scene changed. The junior seemed exhausted, lying softly in the rest room inside, while the senior opened the office’s ventilation system to clear any lingering pheromone scents, then asked another secretary to heat the food.
The senior carried the food into the rest room with some guilt.
“Tired? Want to eat first?”
The junior sprawled on the bed without moving, sniffed, and grumbled, “I was just teasing you. Who knew you’d take it seriously? I’m exhausted.”
The senior rubbed her hands awkwardly, sat by the bed, and coaxed, “You teased me like that, of course I’d fall for it. You know I like you.”
She already liked the junior and had little resistance to such thrilling play, so she ended up being a bit rough with her.
The little girl stared at the TV, learning about sitting on laps in the office and on desks—she got it!
She thought about trying it tomorrow when she brought lunch to Sister, but she didn’t have a fitted hip-hugging skirt. Sister did, though, so she could wear Sister’s.
Just thinking about it excited the little girl. Her ears caught the sound of water stopping in the bathroom, so she quickly and cleverly exited the drama and opened ‘Teletubbies’ to watch.
Shen Hanzhi soon dried her hair and came out. She got into bed, saw the little girl watching ‘Teletubbies’, and contentedly rubbed the little girl’s head, saying, “Such an obedient Little White Rabbit.”
“Sister, does being obedient get a reward?” Little Rabbit hummed and rolled into Shen Hanzhi’s arms, nudging her dimple toward Shen Hanzhi’s lips.
Shen Hanzhi hugged her closer, leaned in to kiss the little girl’s cheek, and softly coaxed, “Of course, obedient rabbits definitely get rewards.”
The little girl nuzzled Shen Hanzhi, acting spoiled. Shen Hanzhi was already used to her clinginess—who could resist such a sticky rabbit?
Shen Hanzhi held the little girl while watching ‘Teletubbies’ for a bit, thinking about earning slag A points quickly so the little girl could rest, since she had classes tomorrow morning.
So Shen Hanzhi stared at Little White Rabbit, her face turning cold, and said, “I told you not to eat too much candy. Why don’t you listen?”
Hearing Shen Hanzhi’s tone, the little girl knew her moment had come. She immediately sniffed cooperatively, her eyes red as she burrowed into Shen Hanzhi’s arms, whimpering, “Wuwuwu, Sister, I won’t do it again. I’ll eat less candy and protect my teeth. Don’t scold me.”
Shen Hanzhi heard the system’s voice in her mind, confirming she earned slag A points, then quickly coaxed Little Rabbit, “Okay, eating a little candy is fine, but fruit is better for your health. Eat more fruit, okay?”
The little girl sniffed and nestled obediently in Shen Hanzhi’s arms, looking like a wronged Little White Rabbit.
Shen Hanzhi rubbed Little White Rabbit’s head, leaned in to kiss her a few times, and Little White Rabbit finally calmed down.
She wrapped her arms around Shen Hanzhi’s neck, almost falling asleep in her arms, until Shen Hanzhi carried Little Rabbit back to her room.
Shen Hanzhi put Little White Rabbit down. The little girl was so sleepy she could barely open her eyes. Shen Hanzhi gently kissed her forehead and quietly left the room.
Back in her own room, Shen Hanzhi picked up the tablet, exited ‘Teletubbies’, and noticed the playlist showed the ‘Senior and Junior’ drama had been watched before it.
Shen Hanzhi didn’t think much of it, assuming Little Rabbit pressed the wrong button. After all, Little Rabbit was new to these things and wouldn’t search for the ‘Senior and Junior’ drama herself.
Shen Hanzhi casually turned off the tablet, lay in bed, and played a game for a while.
Around ten, Shen Hanzhi was about to put down her phone and sleep when an unknown number called. She ignored it and hung up, but the phone kept ringing several times.
Shen Hanzhi answered, and a man’s voice quickly spoke, “President Shen, your family member lost a bet at our club. It’s not much, just five million. When can you settle the bill?”
Shen Hanzhi frowned slightly and asked coldly, “My only family is my wife. Who are you talking about?”
“I’m talking about your wife’s brother, Wen Kai. He lost five million here and told us to call you…”
Before the man could say more, Shen Hanzhi interrupted, “My wife has no connection with the Wen family anymore. If Wen Kai owes you, go to the Wen family. It has nothing to do with me.”
“President Shen, this is your wife’s brother. You really don’t care? If you don’t, his left hand will be ruined soon,” the man said with a slight threat, since Wen Kai’s hand was useless to him—he wanted the money.
“That’s between you and him. He’s an adult and should pay for his actions,” Shen Hanzhi said and hung up.
Wen Kai waited anxiously, asking, “What’s up? Is Shen Hanzhi willing to help?”
The man signaled his men, and several surrounded Wen Kai.
“What are you doing? Don’t grab me!” Wen Kai shouted loudly.
Recently, Wen Hengqiu forced him to work at the company, and he was unhappy every day. His old buddies, seeing the Wen Group stabilize, invited him out again. That night, afraid of being looked down on, he pretended to be rich and lost over five million in one night.
“What are we doing? If the money doesn’t come tonight, your right hand is done tomorrow morning. Don’t play dumb with me. No money, yet you dare come to a place like this? I think you’re tired of living,” the man said, slapping Wen Kai’s face hard.
Wen Kai’s mouth bled from the slap, and he cried, begging, “Brother, don’t hit me. Call my dad. He won’t ignore me. Trust me one more time, Brother.”
Wen Kai cried with snot and tears, looking utterly heartbroken.
The man got Wen Hengqiu’s number and called. Wen Hengqiu heard the whole story, his veins bulging with anger, and shouted into the phone, “Wen Kai, you beast! Don’t you know the company’s situation? I take you with me every day, and this is what you learn? I’m telling you, let them chop your arm or leg, don’t come to me. You’re completely useless. Instead of dealing with you, I’d rather find an omega and have another kid while I’m still young.”
Wen Hengqiu hung up and smashed his phone.
The man had the call on speaker, and his lackeys mocked Wen Kai.
“Yo, Young Master Wen, heard that? Your dad doesn’t care and wants to get you a new brother or sister.”
“Laughable. No money, yet you invite people to play here, acting like a big shot?”
“I think you’re asking for it. I can’t stand useless guys like you.”
“Enough, take him away and watch him. If his family doesn’t pay by dawn, I’ll do what I said,” the man ordered.
“No, Brother, let me call my mom. She loves me the most; she won’t abandon me. Give me one more chance, Brother,” Wen Kai sobbed.
“No more chances. Take him away,” the man said coldly, determined to make Wen Kai suffer so his family would pay willingly.
In the middle of the night, Wen Kai was beaten black and blue. The man used Wen Kai’s phone to send Wu Yan photos and called her, demanding five million.
The Wen family was no longer what it used to be. Wu Yan couldn’t gather five million at once. She called Wen Hengqiu, but he wasn’t home, and his phone was off.
With no choice, Wu Yan offered an 80-square-meter apartment in the city center to settle the debt. They agreed to handle the transfer the next morning, and only after it was done would Wen Kai be released.
Wu Yan found a contact to expedite the transfer, completing it in half a day, and finally saw Wen Kai, bruised and battered.
“Mom, I was wrong. I won’t do it again, I swear,” Wen Kai cried, covering his injured face.
Wu Yan sighed and said, “I transferred the city center apartment to them. Wen Kai, the family really has no money left. Do you understand?”
“I understand, Mom. I won’t do it again. I’ll be good to you, don’t be mad,” Wen Kai sobbed, looking utterly disheveled.
Wu Yan tried calling Wen Hengqiu, but his phone was still off.
While the Wen family was in chaos, the little girl had Wang Haichuan drive her to the company. Wen Jin called Shen Hanzhi from the first floor. Shen Hanzhi put down her documents and went to meet the little girl.
As she stepped out of the elevator, Shen Hanzhi saw the little girl waiting obediently nearby. When the little girl saw Shen Hanzhi, her eyes lit up.
“Sister, I brought you lunch,” the little girl said softly, acting spoiled toward Shen Hanzhi. Since the lobby was crowded, she didn’t dare jump into Shen Hanzhi’s arms.
Shen Hanzhi took the bag of food with one hand, her other arm wrapping around the little girl’s slim waist, leading her to the elevator.
Looking at the obedient little girl in her arms, Shen Hanzhi quickly asked, “Did you listen attentively in class this morning?”
“Yes, Teacher Lu said I improved a lot. I’m even doing reading comprehension now,” the little girl said proudly.
Shen Hanzhi smiled and said softly, “Good, my Little White Rabbit is the best. Come on, we’re here.”
Shen Hanzhi led the little girl back to the office. The little girl hurriedly took the food from Shen Hanzhi’s hands and placed it on the coffee table.
Shen Hanzhi then noticed something odd. Little White Rabbit usually wore long dresses, but today she had on a white short-sleeved blouse and a black hip-hugging skirt. Shen Hanzhi thought she hadn’t bought such clothes for Little White Rabbit.
Puzzled, she asked, “Little Jin, your outfit today?”
Hearing Shen Hanzhi mention her clothes, the little girl’s eyes brightened. She held Shen Hanzhi’s arm, led her to the office chair, and Shen Hanzhi glanced at the food on the coffee table, saying, “Little Jin, let’s eat first, or it’ll get cold.”
The little girl pushed Shen Hanzhi into the office chair, sat on her lap like the junior in the drama, and buried her face in Shen Hanzhi’s arms, acting spoiled, “Sister, do you like my outfit today? I don’t have clothes like this, so I’m wearing yours.”
Shen Hanzhi didn’t know what the little girl was up to but knew kids needed encouragement, especially those just exploring the world.
Shen Hanzhi quickly said, “I like it. My Little Rabbit looks good in anything.”
The little girl looked up at Shen Hanzhi, leaned in to kiss her, her ear tips slightly red. In the drama, the senior was already kissing the junior’s lips and undoing her skirt. She rubbed her face against Shen Hanzhi again, but Shen Hanzhi only hugged her closer, worried she might fall.
The little girl hummed for a bit, then slumped, feeling deflated.
Shen Hanzhi looked at the Little White Rabbit in professional attire, curious if she wore a full set or if, despite the professional look, her underwear was still the cartoon white rabbit style. Thinking this, Shen Hanzhi chuckled softly.
Seeing Shen Hanzhi’s lack of romance, the little girl pushed her and said, “Sister, get up and eat.”
She wanted to mess around with Sister until the food got cold, like in the drama, but she didn’t know how, and Sister was clueless. Little White Rabbit sighed, thinking it was too hard.
Shen Hanzhi set out the lunch and said with a smile, “This morning, I saw Aunt Yang preparing octopus. It’s fresh from this morning, so it’ll be delicious. The crab roe fried rice looks good too. Eat up.”
The little girl looked at Shen Hanzhi, who only had eyes for the food, and hesitated to speak. She couldn’t pinpoint what was off about Shen Hanzhi, but something felt strange.
The little girl poked at her rice and said dryly, “Sister, you work hard. Eat more too.”
“I’m not working hard. My Little White Rabbit is the one working hard,” Shen Hanzhi said, putting some octopus rolls in Wen Jin’s bowl, signaling her to eat more.
The little girl ate quickly. Having gone hungry before, she never wasted food. But Sister, ugh, she never got her heart. The little girl hummed, thinking she hadn’t watched enough dramas, or else Sister would treat her like the senior did.
The little girl clenched her fists, determined to watch more dramas in her spare time to learn.
Shen Hanzhi had no idea what Little White Rabbit was thinking. To her, Little White Rabbit was just starting to explore the world, pure and curious. A parent’s role was crucial now, setting a good example so Little White Rabbit wouldn’t be corrupted by the world’s distractions.
Luckily, her Little White Rabbit was obedient and only liked watching cartoons. Shen Hanzhi felt reassured, her gaze softening as she looked at Little White Rabbit.
After lunch, the little girl napped with her in the rest room. Around two, Shen Hanzhi had Wang Haichuan pick up the little girl to take her back for class.
Shen Hanzhi walked the little girl to the first floor. The little girl looked at Shen Hanzhi listlessly and said, “Sister, goodbye. I’ll wait for you at home.”
“Okay, just focus on your classes. Go on,” Shen Hanzhi said.
The little girl got into the car waiting at the entrance and returned to the villa.
In the afternoon, the little girl worked diligently on her math problems. When she finished, Lu Wenzhu graded her work. The little girl rested her head on the desk, daydreaming, then looked at Lu Wenzhu and whispered, “Teacher Lu, don’t you think Sister is acting weird?”
“President Shen? No, she’s great. She’s polite to employees and even better to you—would give you the stars, not just the moon. Why ask suddenly?” Lu Wenzhu smiled and asked back.
The little girl deflated. Yeah, Sister was already so good to her. Her current life was beyond her wildest dreams before. Why was she still hung up on this?
“Nothing, just asking,” the little girl said with a smile.
That evening, the little girl helped Shen Hanzhi earn slag A points before returning to her room. She grabbed her laptop, leaned against the headboard, and opened a video app. Scanning the thumbnails, she spotted the drama Sister had covered her eyes for last time. Intrigued, she clicked on it.
The first half of the episode focused on scheming business battles. The second half took place in a medieval European-style villa, adding a mysterious veil to the plot. The indescribable sister duo from the last episode were the second and third daughters of the family, with the third being adopted—the “junior” from before.
This episode introduced a new main character: the serious eldest daughter, reading a financial newspaper in the living room, as if waiting for someone.
Soon, a graceful woman appeared on screen. Seeing the eldest daughter, she looked slightly panicked and said, “Why are you here?”
Realizing her words were improper, the woman corrected herself, “Your father is on a business trip these days. Are you waiting for him?”
The eldest daughter’s gaze shifted from the newspaper, staring intently at the woman, her lips parting slightly, “What’s wrong? Not married to my father yet, and you’re already acting like my stepmom? Legally, you’re just his girlfriend, right? Why do you seem unwelcoming?”
The eldest daughter stood from the sofa, tossed the newspaper onto the coffee table, and walked slowly toward the woman, step by step, getting closer as the woman grew visibly more flustered.
Soon, the woman’s back hit a wall. The eldest daughter reached out, grabbed her waist, and teased, “Stepmom, why don’t we go to the room and have a good talk?”
The woman’s ear tips turned red, her fox-like eyes avoiding the eldest daughter’s gaze. After a moment, she managed, “Don’t call me stepmom. You said it yourself, I haven’t married your father yet.”
The eldest daughter’s fingertips lightly pinched the woman’s flushed ear, teasing, “Doesn’t calling you that make it more exciting? Don’t think I don’t know—my father lost that ability long ago. He brought you here just to keep up appearances, right? Stepmom, it must be tough following him.”
“You can’t—” the woman started, but was cut off.
A heated kiss landed, and the eldest daughter half-coaxed, half-carried the woman back to the room. The screen showed only their kiss before a loud “thud” as the door shut, though faint sounds still leaked out.
“Stepmom, do you like it?”
“Wuwu, stop calling me stepmom, mm—don’t bite…”
The little girl felt like she’d opened a new world. Could daughters and stepmoms be like this? This drama seemed as thrilling as ‘Senior and Junior’. She didn’t fully understand but was very intrigued, and she found the “stepmom” title kind of exciting.
She clicked into the comment section and saw many comments:
[Oh my, stepmom literature, sizzle sizzle~]
