After Transmigrating Into a Book, I Was Forced to Play the Role of a Scumbag Alpha (GL) - Chapter 42
Chapter 42
At the Wen family, Wen Hengqiu returned home less and less often. After Wen Kai recovered from his injury, he wanted to go back to the company to make amends, but every time he arrived at the company, Wen Hengqiu had security guards drive him out, as if he truly no longer recognized this son.
Wu Yan constantly urged Wen Hengqiu to come home, but Wen Hengqiu brushed her off with various excuses. The two even had several big arguments. Wen Hengqiu blamed Wu Yan for not raising their children well, especially their son, whom he directly called a useless person.
Wen Kai genuinely felt scared and cried while begging Wu Yan, “Mother, you must help me. Father said on the phone that day he doesn’t want me anymore and plans to have another child with an omega outside.”
“You’re talking nonsense. That’s impossible, impossible. Our family only has you as the alpha. In the future, the Wen family business will definitely be yours to take over,” Wu Yan said, but Wen Kai’s words made her feel uneasy inside. Wen Hengqiu hadn’t come home for over a month. Rumors in their circle said Wen Hengqiu was involved with a male omega outside. When Wu Yan questioned him several times, Wen Hengqiu only countered by asking how Wu Yan raised such a useless son.
The Wen family was in chaos, and Wen Kai, like a startled bird, didn’t dare go out even when friends invited him.
—
These past few days, Shen Hanzhi noticed the little girl studied especially hard and felt very pleased. She also discussed with the teachers of Little Jin’s subjects. Little Jin had good memory and comprehension skills, and she made rapid progress during this time.
Getting the little girl to score well enough for a good undergraduate program within a year was unrealistic, but scoring 200 points was not difficult.
In the afternoon, Shen Hanzhi had business at the company and went there for a bit. When she returned, the little girl sat at the dining table doing homework.
Shen Hanzhi walked over slowly and saw Little Jin writing math problems with an automatic pencil shaped like a pink chubby rabbit. Shen Hanzhi’s eyes curved slightly; her little white rabbit was just too cute.
The little girl seemed to sense someone watching her. She looked up and saw Shen Hanzhi had returned. She said with surprise, “Sister!”
“Mm, why didn’t you do your homework in your room?” Shen Hanzhi asked softly.
“I can see you sooner here,” the little girl said, her eyes sparkling as she acted coyly toward Shen Hanzhi.
Shen Hanzhi leaned over and kissed the little girl gently, saying softly, “Alright, you keep writing. I’ll go upstairs to shower and come back to keep you company.”
The little girl nodded and watched Shen Hanzhi leave, then buried her head in her homework again. She wrote and drew, but when she felt something was wrong, she erased it with an eraser.
When Shen Hanzhi came back downstairs, she saw the little girl erasing writing from her notebook.
“What’s wrong?” Shen Hanzhi asked, pulling a chair to sit beside the little girl.
“Sister, this problem is a bit hard,” the little girl said, pushing the notebook over.
Shen Hanzhi leaned over to look. It was an application problem. She calculated it simply and started explaining it to the little girl, who listened obediently.
Shen Hanzhi shook her head with a smile. She was practically raising a child early, even tutoring a little one with homework.
While the little girl did her homework, Shen Hanzhi took a book and sat beside her. As a guardian, she had to be responsible. If she played on her phone, the little girl definitely wouldn’t want to study.
The little girl wrote for another half hour before finishing all her homework.
Seeing the little girl put down her pen, Shen Hanzhi asked with a smile, “Finished?”
“Mm,” the little girl said, nodding. She stuffed her books and worksheets into her little white rabbit backpack, which Shen Hanzhi had bought for her.
The little girl didn’t know why Sister liked buying her things with little rabbits on them.
Shen Hanzhi swept the eraser crumbs from the table onto the floor, then grabbed a broom and dustpan from the kitchen to clean them up.
“Sister, let’s eat,” the little girl said, humming as she leaned into Shen Hanzhi’s arms. As she learned more, her schoolwork got heavier. Before, she could play after class, but now she had to do homework until after six.
“Alright, I’ll tell Aunt Yang and the others. You go put your backpack away and change into a comfortable nightgown,” Shen Hanzhi said with a smile.
The little girl nodded, quickly kissed Shen Hanzhi on the cheek, and then took her little white rabbit backpack upstairs.
That evening, after helping Shen Hanzhi with some chores, the little girl fell asleep from exhaustion.
The next morning, the little girl woke up feeling very tired. During class in the morning, she almost fell asleep.
Lu Wenzhu smelled a sweet milky scent coming from the study, and it grew stronger. She quickly looked at Wen Jin, who seemed weak across from her, and asked, “Little Jin, are you in your susceptible period?”
The little girl, feeling dizzy and smelling the sweet milk scent, blushed and said, “It seems so, Teacher Lu. I have no strength.”
“You stay there and don’t move. I’ll go get someone to help,” Lu Wenzhu said, pouring a glass of warm water for the little girl before hurrying to find Shen Hanzhi. Since Wen Jin was a married omega, those with partners usually managed their susceptible periods through their partner’s pheromones instead of suppressants.
Shen Hanzhi was in her room reviewing company reports when she heard urgent knocking at the door. She quickly opened it and asked, “Teacher Lu? What’s the emergency?”
“Little Jin is probably in her susceptible period. Should you comfort her, or should we use an injection?” Lu Wenzhu asked urgently.
“I’ll get the injection,” Shen Hanzhi said, quickly grabbing a suppressant from a cabinet in her room.
Lu Wenzhu paused for a moment but didn’t say anything, as it was their private matter.
Shen Hanzhi hurriedly pushed open the study door. The room was filled with a strong, sweet milk scent. Shen Hanzhi felt a burning sensation at the back of her neck. She quickly pressed the ventilation button in the room and, suppressing her discomfort, approached the little girl.
“Little Jin, how are you? Still feeling bad?” Shen Hanzhi asked, feeling drained just by standing next to Wen Jin. Sweat dripped from her nose and cheeks.
“I’m okay, Sister. I have no strength,” the little girl said, her whole body limp and weak.
Shen Hanzhi quickly supported the little girl, letting her lean into her arms. She took out a simple injection from its packaging and comforted her, saying, “Don’t be afraid, Little Jin. I’ll give you the medicine now, and you won’t feel bad after.”
As Shen Hanzhi spoke, her nightgown was soaked with sweat on her back. She had underestimated this world’s dynamics; an omega’s pheromones indeed had a fatal attraction for an alpha.
While administering the suppressant, Shen Hanzhi bit her lower lip the entire time to keep herself from losing control and scaring her little white rabbit.
After finally injecting the suppressant, Shen Hanzhi let out a heavy sigh of relief, pulled a chair over, and sat beside the little girl.
Shen Hanzhi sat at a distance to recover for a while. The pheromone scent in the room had dissipated somewhat through the ventilation system, and she felt better. She stood up, lifted the little girl from the chair, let her rest in her arms, and released her own lychee-scented pheromones to comfort her.
Before the suppressant, Shen Hanzhi didn’t dare comfort the little girl this way, fearing the situation might spiral out of control. Now, she could use her pheromones to make the little girl feel more comfortable.
The sweet lychee scent filled the little girl’s nose, and she felt much of her discomfort fade, even more effectively than the suppressant injected into her arm.
Her eyes squinted as her nose nuzzled Shen Hanzhi’s neck, searching for the source of the scent. “Sister, you smell so sweet, so comfortable. Sister, I feel so bad,” she said.
The little girl whimpered in Shen Hanzhi’s arms, her eyes red. She found it strange herself. Back at Rose Manor, Wen Hengqiu prepared a few suppressants for her every year, and during her susceptible periods, she always injected herself and endured the two or three days. She managed before, so why did she feel more delicate now, even with Sister by her side?
Seeing her little white rabbit uncomfortable, Shen Hanzhi quickly hugged her closer and said, “Don’t be afraid. I’m here. I’ll stay with my little rabbit.”
The little girl’s nose sniffed lightly at Shen Hanzhi’s neck, her lips occasionally kissing and leaving little marks, as if not satisfied. She buried her face in Shen Hanzhi’s neck, kissing a patch of little marks while searching for the source of the lychee scent.
Afraid the little girl was uncomfortable, Shen Hanzhi carried her back to the room.
The little girl’s arms clung to Shen Hanzhi, refusing to let go. She mumbled softly, “Sister, don’t go. Stay with me.”
Looking at the teary-eyed little girl in her arms, Shen Hanzhi couldn’t bear to leave. She quickly hugged her, sat on the bed, and coaxed softly, “Alright, I’m not going anywhere. I’ll stay right by my little white rabbit, okay?”
“Mm,” the little girl said, nestling into Shen Hanzhi’s arms and rubbing against her.
Shen Hanzhi lay down with the little girl in her arms. The little girl smelled milky and quite pleasant.
She nuzzled into Shen Hanzhi’s arms, humming and rubbing her nose against Shen Hanzhi’s neck coyly. “Sister, your back smells so good. Can I smell it?” she asked.
Seeing the little girl close her eyes and nuzzle her neck like a newborn rabbit, Shen Hanzhi touched the top of her head and said softly, “Yes, my little rabbit can do whatever she wants. Come, sit up for a moment.”
Shen Hanzhi moved the little white rabbit to the side, turned over, and lay on her stomach. She thoughtfully pulled her loose hair to one side to make it easier for the little rabbit to smell.
Seeing Shen Hanzhi ready, the little rabbit snuggled over, humming and acting coy while using her nose to find the source of the lychee scent. When she found it, her nose twitched, she took a deep breath, and then, as if intoxicated, she felt dizzy from sniffing.
Shen Hanzhi endured the overwhelming sensation of being nuzzled by the little white rabbit and asked softly, “Little Jin? Feeling better?”
The little rabbit pursed her lips, her eyes blurry from sniffing. She thought if it felt this good to smell, wouldn’t it be even better to bite? With that thought, she bit down, and sure enough, her mouth filled with sweet lychee flavor.
“Hiss, Little Jin?” Shen Hanzhi asked, somewhat puzzled.
The little rabbit snapped back to reality, realizing she had bitten Sister. She sniffled, looking at Shen Hanzhi with a pitiful expression, almost crying. “Sister, does it hurt? I didn’t mean to. You’re just too sweet,” she said.
As the little rabbit spoke, tears fell one by one. Shen Hanzhi quickly pulled her little white rabbit into her arms and comforted her, saying, “It’s okay. What’s a little bite from my rabbit? Don’t cry, don’t cry. My Little Jin is the best, don’t be sad, okay?”
“Sister, sob, sob, sob, am I a bad rabbit now?” the little girl asked, crying sadly.
Shen Hanzhi felt both heartache and a bit amused. Her little rabbit was just too adorable, wasn’t she? Even her crying and muttering were so cute, with her milky pheromone scent. Wasn’t she just a whimpering little milk rabbit?
“No, my Little Jin is the cutest, most obedient little white rabbit, not a bad rabbit,” Shen Hanzhi said, comforting her while patting her back to soothe her. The child was fragile at this moment, and she needed to comfort her properly.
“Sister, I just bit you. Do you still like me?” the little white rabbit asked, looking at Shen Hanzhi with teary eyes, tears still brimming as if Shen Hanzhi would say she didn’t like her, and the little rabbit would cry immediately.
Shen Hanzhi quickly leaned over and kissed the little girl’s forehead, saying softly, “No, I like Little Jin the most. I’ll always like Little Jin no matter what. Don’t cry, okay? Are you tired?”
The little rabbit nodded softly. Susceptible periods were exhausting, and she had cried for a while, so she really had no energy now.
“If you’re tired, let’s sleep for a bit. No classes for a few days. I’ll tell your teachers, and you just rest well these days,” Shen Hanzhi said, coaxing her softly.
The little girl hummed, buried herself in Shen Hanzhi’s arms, and fell asleep deeply, surrounded by the sweet lychee scent.
When the little rabbit was asleep, Shen Hanzhi touched the back of her neck where the little rabbit had bitten her. It still hurt quite a bit.
Looking at the soft little white rabbit in her arms, Shen Hanzhi’s eyes curved slightly. She sniffed the milky scent on the little rabbit and then picked up her phone to play.
She had deleted all the original owner’s shady friends from WeChat, but people still kept sending her messages, inviting her to go out and have fun.
Shen Hanzhi opened one and saw exactly that kind of message.
“Sister Shen, we haven’t seen you in months. Won’t you come out and drink with friends?”
“President Shen, no way, are you that whipped? There are some new omega singers at the bar tonight, pretty good-looking. Come have fun.”
There were many more, but Shen Hanzhi deleted and blocked them all. She had to stay home with her little rabbit; she had no time to mess around with those spoiled rich kids.
Putting down her phone, Shen Hanzhi fell asleep holding the little rabbit. When she woke up, it was already noon. Except for the security guards, everyone at home, like Aunt Yang and the others, were betas, so they could work as usual and take care of them even during her and the little girl’s susceptible periods.
At noon, Aunt Liu brought up lunch. She knocked on the door and placed the food to the side.
Not wanting to look too much, she planned to leave quickly after setting down the food. But then she saw Wen Jin nuzzling Shen Hanzhi’s neck coyly. Not daring to look more, she quickly closed the door and left. With things like this, Shen Hanzhi and their Little Jin had definitely done what they needed to do.
Shen Hanzhi smiled and patted the little white rabbit’s back. “Little Jin, how did you turn into a little puppy, sniffing everywhere?” she asked.
“No way, I don’t want to be a puppy. I’m scared of dogs,” the little girl said, logically refuting.
“Alright, is my little rabbit feeling better? If you’re better, let’s get up and eat,” Shen Hanzhi said, continuing to coax.
“Mm, I’m hungry,” the little girl said, nuzzling in Shen Hanzhi’s arms, reluctant to get up.
“If you’re hungry, let’s eat first. We can cuddle after eating, okay?” Shen Hanzhi asked.
“Mm,” the little girl said, humming as she sat up. As if remembering something, she leaned over and kissed Shen Hanzhi’s cheek. “Sister, don’t let anyone else smell this lychee scent, okay? You’re my wife,” she said.
The little girl possessively hugged Shen Hanzhi and acted coyly. Shen Hanzhi took it as a child being playful and said softly, “Alright, I’m Little Jin’s wife. The lychee scent is only for Little Jin to smell, okay?”
The little girl buried her face in Shen Hanzhi’s neck, took a deep breath, and then got up satisfied. Sister was so obedient; she really liked her.
Shen Hanzhi set the food on the table in the room, and the little girl ate quickly. Even doing nothing during a susceptible period was exhausting, but thankfully, the suppressant finally worked. Aside from feeling a bit weak, the little girl no longer felt uncomfortable. Speaking of which, the suppressant Sister prepared for her was much better than the ones Wen Hengqiu got, which were probably the cheapest kind.
After eating, Shen Hanzhi let the little rabbit rest while she took the plates and bowls to the kitchen downstairs. When she returned, she saw the little girl looking eagerly at the door.
Shen Hanzhi walked to the little rabbit’s side and rubbed her head with a smile. “What’s wrong? Is my little white rabbit this clingy?” she asked.
The little girl reached out and wrapped her arms around Shen Hanzhi’s waist, humming and acting coyly. “Sister, can you stay with me tonight too? I can’t sleep without smelling you,” she said.
