After Transmigrating Into a Book, I Was Forced to Play the Role of a Scumbag Alpha (GL) - Chapter 48
Chapter 48
On the first day of rest, the little girl slept until she woke naturally. When she opened her eyes, it was past ten in the morning. She looked beside her and saw Shen Hanzhi lying next to her, playing on her phone.
Seeing Little Rabbit awake, Shen Hanzhi pulled the little girl into her arms, smiled, and rubbed her waist. “My little lazy rabbit woke up? This month exhausted my Little Rabbit. Still sleepy?”
Little Rabbit lazily buried herself in Shen Hanzhi’s arms. “Not sleepy. I just missed you.”
Shen Hanzhi looked at the Little Rabbit nestled in her arms, her heart softening. She stroked Little Rabbit’s back with both hands and coaxed gently. “Little Rabbit has such a sweet mouth. You always make me happy.”
“No, I really missed Sister.” She wanted Sister to tease her, but Little Rabbit didn’t dare say the second part.
She whined, leaned into Shen Hanzhi’s arms, and didn’t want to get up. Her nose lightly rubbed Shen Hanzhi’s neck. After cuddling for a while, Little Rabbit got up to wash.
When she came out of the bathroom, she saw Shen Hanzhi still leaning against the headboard’s cushion, playing on her phone. Her fingers were slender and distinct. The little girl’s ears reddened. She wanted Sister to play with her.
Little Rabbit softly climbed onto the bed, saw Shen Hanzhi still playing, and sat on her lap, acting spoiled. “Sister, you haven’t given me the morning kiss.”
Shen Hanzhi set down her phone to hug Little Rabbit, but the little girl leaned in first. Little Rabbit had learned. With only two kisses a day, she made each last about five minutes. This time was no different. When they parted, Little Rabbit’s wet eyes looked at Shen Hanzhi. Shen Hanzhi nearly lost control, wanting to hold her and kiss more.
She lifted the soft Little Rabbit, let her rest in her arms, and asked gently. “Want to go out during the two-day break?”
The little girl shook her head, rubbed her face against Shen Hanzhi’s neck. “I want to stay home. Sister, will you stay with me?”
“Okay, I’ll listen to Little Rabbit,” Shen Hanzhi said, kissed her cheek, and coaxed softly.
Little Rabbit, resting for two days, was too tired to go anywhere. She wanted Shen Hanzhi to hold her and nap. She missed sleep from waking up early.
After lunch, Little Rabbit whined, clung to Shen Hanzhi, and asked her to nap together. Shen Hanzhi scooped her up from the living room and carried her upstairs.
Seeing Sister carry her, Little Rabbit kissed her cheek. “A reward for Sister.”
Shen Hanzhi pinched the little girl’s leg where she held her and teased. “A reward for yourself, right?”
“No way, I like Sister,” Little Rabbit whined, hooked Shen Hanzhi’s neck. Shen Hanzhi saw Little Rabbit’s clingy, soft look and nearly lost control.
She set Little Rabbit on the bed, sat her in her lap, and grabbed a tablet. “Can you sleep? Or should we watch a drama?”
The little girl hooked Shen Hanzhi’s neck, sucked a red mark on her, and whined playfully. “Let’s watch a drama. Sister, hold me while we watch.”
Shen Hanzhi held the little girl’s face with both hands and rubbed it. Her Little Rabbit was so clingy. “Okay, I’ll hold my Little Rabbit while we watch.”
She hugged Little Rabbit, let her settle in her arms, and opened the tablet, picking a drama randomly.
This time, Shen Hanzhi felt no pressure. Little Rabbit understood kissing, so watching a drama was fine. In this world, dramas mostly showed kissing, then cut away.
Shen Hanzhi checked the video app’s drama rankings, opened the top one, and realized it was the business war drama they watched before. She clicked a random episode from the middle.
The little girl saw it was the drama she half-watched and got excited.
In the scene, everyone gathered in a fancy hospital room. The grandfather lectured them, also eyeing a successor. Everyone had their own motives, wanting a bigger share. The grandfather seemed most pleased with Big Sister.
As they left the hospital, Big Brother sneered at Big Sister. “Don’t think the old man’s approval means the company will back you as chairman.”
“Prove yourself. Instead of this, check how many still support you in the company,” Big Sister said flatly, as if she didn’t care about him.
Second Sister watched them argue, smirked slightly, and left holding Second Little Sister’s wrist.
The scene shifted to a villa. With the grandfather’s worsening illness, the family’s fight over company shares heated up.
Second Little Sister typed on a laptop in the living room. She was the most relaxed. As a disowned foster daughter, she threatened no one.
Second Sister sat beside her, saw her working, and slid a hand onto her leg, leaning to her ear to tease. “What’re you writing? Let Sister teach you.”
“Don’t touch. We’re in the living room,” Second Little Sister whispered, ears red, only warning, not stopping Second Sister’s wandering hand. Second Sister’s lips brushed her cheek and lip corner. Big Sister and Stepmom, returning, saw them.
Second Little Sister, scared Big Sister noticed, broke into a cold sweat. Second Sister pulled her closer and greeted with a smile. “Sister, you’re back?”
“Yes,” Big Sister said, glanced at them, ignored Stepmom, and went upstairs to the hallway.
Stepmom eyed Second Sister and Second Little Sister thoughtfully. Seeing Big Sister wasn’t clinging to her, she relaxed. At the staircase turn, someone pulled her into a hug.
This spot was a blind spot. The living room couldn’t see, but Second Little Sister and Second Sister’s voices faintly carried.
Stepmom, startled by Big Sister’s sudden move, pushed her and whispered urgently. “Are you crazy? Your sisters are downstairs.”
“So what? Didn’t you see? They’re not innocent either. You’ve been avoiding me, haven’t you?” Big Sister trapped Stepmom between her arms and asked coldly.
“I’m not avoiding you. I’m doing this for you. You haven’t secured the shares yet…” Stepmom started.
Before she finished, Big Sister kissed her fiercely. After, Big Sister grabbed Stepmom’s waist and took her to her room.
Once the door closed, Stepmom spoke loudly. “Why’d you bring me here? Your father’s coming back soon. Move, let me out.”
Big Sister’s eyes darkened, pinned Stepmom against the door. “Stepmom, how much does my dad pay you to be so dedicated?”
She grabbed Stepmom’s hands pushing her shoulders, held them, and pinned them above her head. With one hand controlling Stepmom’s wrists, she pulled a silk scarf from somewhere and tied Stepmom’s hands carefully.
Stepmom asked, flustered. “Why’re you tying me? Are you crazy?”
Big Sister smirked, her lips brushing Stepmom’s lip corner as she murmured. “So a certain kitten doesn’t lose control later. My back still has two red marks you scratched.”
“No way. Your father said he’s coming for dinner. Wait till tonight. I’ll come to you then, not now,” Stepmom said, anxious.
“No. You avoided me for days,” Big Sister said, kissed her. Stepmom’s tied hands hung, and she hooked Big Sister’s neck, letting her kiss.
The little girl’s eyes widened. She squirmed, rubbed Shen Hanzhi’s neck, wanting Sister to tie and tease her.
Shen Hanzhi coughed, hid her embarrassment. No wonder this drama ranked first. It was thrilling.
Big Sister kissed Stepmom onto the bed. The camera panned to a plant, leaving only heavy breathing sounds.
The little girl felt hot. She knew what those sounds meant now. She whined, turned, hooked Shen Hanzhi’s neck, and acted spoiled. “Sister, I want it too. Kiss me.”
Shen Hanzhi looked at the soft Little Rabbit, tossed the tablet aside, held her waist, and kissed her. Her Little Rabbit had a great figure.
Little Rabbit responded eagerly. They kissed for minutes before parting. Little Rabbit leaned softly in Shen Hanzhi’s arms, whining. “I like Sister. Sister kisses so nicely.”
“Little naughty rabbit,” Shen Hanzhi said, kissed her cheek, and calmed herself.
Little Rabbit looked at Shen Hanzhi softly, asked sincerely. “Sister, after exams, can we do like in the drama? I want Sister to kiss me like that.”
Shen Hanzhi cleared her throat, rubbed Little Rabbit’s lower back to soothe. “We’ll talk after exams. Let’s nap. We’ll eat dinner out. Staying home all day isn’t good.”
“I’ll listen to Sister,” Little Rabbit whined, found a comfy spot in Shen Hanzhi’s arms, and closed her eyes.
Past four in the afternoon, Shen Hanzhi had the driver take them to a mall. They strolled around. She took Little Rabbit to a claw machine.
Shen Hanzhi held Little Rabbit. “Little Jin, which animal do you like? Sister will grab it.”
Little Rabbit happily kissed Shen Hanzhi’s chin, pointed at a little white rabbit inside.
Shen Hanzhi looked at the obedient Little Rabbit, eyes curving. In her past life, she often played claw machines, but without a girlfriend, she kept the toys. Now with Little Rabbit, her claw skills had a purpose. The little girl happily carried a bag of toys Shen Hanzhi grabbed, and they went to eat.
For dinner, Shen Hanzhi took Little Rabbit to a famous local private kitchen in Nandu City. She ordered signature dishes, set down the menu, and saw Little Rabbit holding the white rabbit toy she grabbed, staring at it.
“What’s Little Rabbit looking at?” Shen Hanzhi asked, smiling.
The little girl held the white rabbit beside her face. “Sister, who’s cuter, me or the rabbit?”
Shen Hanzhi shook her head, laughing. Such a kid. “Of course my Little Jin’s cuter.”
If they weren’t across the table, Shen Hanzhi would’ve pulled Little Rabbit into her arms for a kiss.
Food arrived soon. Little Rabbit’s cheeks puffed while eating, looking more like a white rabbit. Shen Hanzhi’s eyes softened.
The next day, Little Rabbit clung to her in bed all day. Shen Hanzhi either held her watching TV or napped with her.
April came quickly. The class’s study vibe grew heavier. Even Fu Yumeng started doing tests seriously. Fewer back-row students slacked off.
Like many parents, Shen Hanzhi dutifully drove Little Rabbit to and from school. To ease her stress, Shen Hanzhi often counseled her.
During breaks, Fu Yumeng rarely discussed questions with Wen Jin. The blackboard’s countdown calendar shrank daily, and everyone felt the urgency.
In May, the weather warmed. The little girl swapped her heavy wool coat for a blouse and a white jacket with a little white rabbit print. The outfit made her look even more innocent.
Shen Hanzhi, in a rare suit, dropped the little girl at school. Getting out, the little girl kissed Shen Hanzhi’s chin clingily, looking back every few steps.
Shen Hanzhi shook her head, laughed, and waved, signaling Little Rabbit to watch her step.
Seeing Wen Jin, Fu Yumeng smiled. “Little Jin, you really love little white rabbits. So many clothes have them.”
The little girl’s ears reddened, and she replied sweetly. “My wife likes them. She says I’m like a little white rabbit, so she buys me lots of rabbit clothes.”
Fu Yumeng leaned in, raised a brow. “I get it. Wife-wife fun, hehe. In a month, your wife’s free. Stock up on good food to nourish yourself, or you won’t handle it.”
“No way, Sister’s definitely gentle,” the little girl said, blushing.
“She’s gentle now, but who knows then,” Fu Yumeng teased, winking.
“Meanie, always teasing me,” the little girl said, playfully bickering with Fu Yumeng.
During morning reading, the teacher brought in a transfer student, a male omega named Liang Fei. He looked quiet, brought candy for everyone, and was instantly liked.
The little girl and Fu Yumeng grew friendly with Liang Fei.
That evening, as Shen Hanzhi leaned against the car waiting for the little girl, a system alarm blared in her mind. She nearly went weak-kneed. The system, now slacking to only track slag A points, hadn’t chatted in her head for ages.
“Why’d you pop up?” Shen Hanzhi asked the system in her mind.
The system’s lifeless mechanical voice sounded. “Duh, a key figure appeared. You think I want overtime? See that Porsche Cayenne? The man’s this world’s male lead. Host, be careful.”
After the warning, the system logged off instantly. Shen Hanzhi tried to ask more, but it was gone.
Shen Hanzhi looked at the Cayenne. A tall man stepped out, wearing a light suit, his manner polite and refined.
Shen Hanzhi’s hand tightened at her side. The male lead appeared so soon? In the original story, the original host took Wen Jin to a banquet. Wen Jin’s wine glass was knocked over, staining her dress. The host thought Wen Jin embarrassed her on purpose, dragged her to a quiet hallway, and abused her. The male lead saw, grew interested, and wanted to save her, later helping her repeatedly.
But now, the male lead appeared early, at the tutoring center. Shen Hanzhi felt uneasy.
The man noticed Shen Hanzhi, approached politely, and greeted. “President Shen, here to pick up a kid?”
Shen Hanzhi snapped back, met Liang Shuo’s gaze, and said. “No, I’m picking up my wife.”
Liang Shuo nodded, smiled. “I’m here for my little brother. President Shen’s so attentive to her wife.”
“It’s nothing. Taking care of my wife is my duty,” Shen Hanzhi replied calmly.
Liang Shuo, seeing his brother, greeted Shen Hanzhi politely and went to him.
As he left, Liang Shuo thought rumors weren’t baseless. His Liang Group, new to Nandu City, needed reliable partners. He heard much about Shen Hanzhi, especially that, since marrying a year ago, Nandu’s wild card settled down, focused on the company, and cared for her wife.
He heard Shen Hanzhi’s wife was the Wen family’s illegitimate daughter, abused as a child, but Shen Hanzhi treated her well since marrying.
Liang Shuo had a good impression of Shen Hanzhi, seeing her as a potential partner. Her picking up her wife late confirmed she was reliable.
As Liang Shuo reached his brother, he saw a young girl dash to Shen Hanzhi and leap into her arms.
Liang Shuo smiled like an auntie. The rumors were true. Shen Hanzhi was protective of her wife. They looked perfect together.
“Brother, what’re you looking at?” Liang Fei asked, glancing at Liang Shuo.
“A classmate and her wife. They’re cute. Let’s go. You don’t study at home. If you score only 200 on exams, I won’t save you from Mom and Dad,” Liang Shuo teased.
“No, Brother, I’m not study material. If I fail, you gotta plead for me,” Liang Fei said.
Meanwhile, when the little girl jumped into Shen Hanzhi’s arms, Shen Hanzhi was dazed. Talking to Liang Shuo, she faked calm. Her fingers still trembled.
The little girl looked at Shen Hanzhi, puzzled. “Sister, why’s your face so pale? Are you sick?”
Shen Hanzhi shook her head, forced a smile. The male lead was bound to appear. She should’ve expected it. She took a deep breath and said. “I’m fine. Let’s go home.”
“Okay, Sister. We did so many tests today. I got lots of math wrong. I can’t learn it,” Little Rabbit said, leaned into Shen Hanzhi’s arms, wanting comfort.
Shen Hanzhi, thinking of Liang Shuo, missed what the little girl said. The little girl shook her hand, and Shen Hanzhi reacted.
“What’s wrong, Little Jin?” Shen Hanzhi looked at Little Rabbit in her arms and asked softly.
“Sister, what’re you thinking? Are you upset today?” Little Rabbit saw Shen Hanzhi’s tired look, leaned obediently in her arms, and asked.
Shen Hanzhi held the little girl’s waist. “No, just busy at the company. Don’t worry, my Little Rabbit.”
“Good. I’ll massage Sister,” Little Rabbit said, thoughtfully rubbed Shen Hanzhi’s arm.
Looking at the sweet Little Rabbit she raised, Shen Hanzhi took a deep breath. She couldn’t be selfish, keeping Little Rabbit for herself. Little Rabbit’s life was just starting. She clung to her now because she met few people. Later, she’d have a bigger world, meet better people. Shen Hanzhi told herself to let her choose. She sighed. In a month, after exams, she’d have no excuse to keep her.
Shen Hanzhi’s heart ached, especially after seeing the male lead today.
The male lead was as the book described: a proper gentleman, good-looking, and well-built.
As Shen Hanzhi’s thoughts wandered, the little girl’s lips touched her cheek. She softly stroked Shen Hanzhi’s face. “Sister, I can’t help with company stuff, but I want you happy. A kiss, and you won’t think of bad things, okay?”
Shen Hanzhi looked at Little Rabbit, nodded. “Okay. With my Little Rabbit, no obstacle’s too big.”
“Yes, I’ll always stay with Sister,” Little Rabbit whined, nuzzled Shen Hanzhi playfully, not wanting her sad. On the way home, she talked more, sharing school stories to cheer Shen Hanzhi up, fearing she was down.
Shen Hanzhi’s mood eased. Not wanting Little Rabbit to worry, she listened to her funny stories.
At bedtime, Shen Hanzhi held the soft Little Rabbit, but couldn’t sleep. When she came to this world, she planned to grab slag A points and live happily. Now, with points nearly hers, she wasn’t happy. If she proposed divorce, what would Little Rabbit choose?
Would she leave, like in the book, and slowly connect with Liang Shuo? The thought pained Shen Hanzhi. She sighed heavily.
Her lips softened. The little girl’s lips kissed her, gently soothing her.
Shen Hanzhi held the little girl’s waist, deepened the kiss, and pulled back, panting, after a while. “Thanks, Little Jin. I was down today. Sorry, did I affect you?”
Little Rabbit kissed her cheek, spoke softly. “No effect. If a kiss makes Sister happy, I’ll kiss forever.”
Shen Hanzhi rubbed Little Rabbit’s head, laughed. “Little naughty rabbit, nice try. We said two kisses a day. You snuck an extra. It’s deducted from tomorrow’s two.”
“What? Sister’s mean,” Little Rabbit whined, acted spoiled in Shen Hanzhi’s arms.
“Sister, that was special, to cheer you up. It doesn’t count. Don’t deduct it. Two kisses a day is already so few. If tomorrow’s one, I’ll lose study motivation,” Little Rabbit argued.
Shen Hanzhi laughed, kissed her cheek. “Really? Kisses affect your study drive?”
“Of course. Sister’s my motivation. Don’t deduct, okay?” Little Rabbit whined.
Shen Hanzhi couldn’t resist her. “Fine, that one didn’t count.”
