After Transmigrating Into a Book, I Was Forced to Play the Role of a Scumbag Alpha (GL) - Chapter 60
Chapter 60
During her third year internship, Shen Hanzhi turned the land she contracted for Little Bunny into a full-fledged vacation and picking garden. The garden grew many oranges, and people from Nandu City often visited during holidays to pick fruit.
The young girl became the manager of the garden. She oversaw dozens of staff members.
Shen Hanzhi also built a three-story office building for the young girl in the garden. Sometimes, they invited Guan Ziyu to join them for barbecues.
Shen Hanzhi had someone park the car outside the garden. She walked in to find her Little Bunny. From a distance, she saw Little Bunny leading people to check the growth of the oranges.
Shen Hanzhi called out from afar, “President Wen, busy at work?”
The young girl saw Shen Hanzhi and glared at her. She told the employees to go work, then ran into Shen Hanzhi’s arms. She asked, “Sister, why did you come?”
“Aunt Yang and the others said your cucumbers and tomatoes taste good. I had free time, so I came to ask President Wen for some vegetables to eat,” Shen Hanzhi said. She hugged Little Bunny and teased her.
“Sister, you tease me again. What kind of president am I? You’re the rich lady, the big boss,” the young girl replied. While no one was around, she kissed Shen Hanzhi’s lips.
Shen Hanzhi smiled and said, “Alright, my little rich lady, President Wen. Our Little Jin is the best. I bought this land for fun, but now it’s profitable, and not just a little, thanks to my capable Little Bunny.”
“Sister taught me well,” Little Bunny said. She acted cute and soft, as if she wasn’t the cool manager talking to employees earlier.
“Yes, President Wen, take me to pick vegetables. They’re waiting at home to eat,” Shen Hanzhi said. She hugged Little Bunny, kissed her, and spoke gently.
“Okay, I’ll take you there,” Little Bunny replied. She led Shen Hanzhi to the vegetable garden. Compared to the large-scale orange orchard, the vegetable garden was smaller, but it still had plenty of vegetables. When Shen Hanzhi’s family couldn’t eat them all, Little Bunny opened the garden for public picking. It was a way to make money.
Little Bunny handed Shen Hanzhi a basket. They started picking together.
“Sister, look, these cucumbers are fruit cucumbers, and so are the tomatoes. Some don’t look great, but they taste very juicy,” Little Bunny said. She introduced the vegetables to Shen Hanzhi happily.
Shen Hanzhi looked at Little Bunny, her eyes softening. She said, “Our Little Jin is amazing. You know everything about the garden, don’t you?”
“Of course, I’m the person in charge of this land,” Little Bunny replied.
Shen Hanzhi laughed at the young girl, whose pride seemed to lift her tail. She agreed, “Yes, our President Wen is the best. You started a successful business before even graduating college.”
“Hmph,” Little Bunny said proudly. She leaned closer to Shen Hanzhi, acting cute.
They picked slowly. Shen Hanzhi called a few bodyguards to come help pick and carry the vegetables back. She said, “Pick more this time. Send some to Ziyu and the others.”
“Yes, we can invite Little Can and the others to come play in a few days,” the young girl said, smiling.
“Sure, you’re the boss. You decide,” Shen Hanzhi teased with a laugh.
She let the bodyguards take the vegetables back first. Shen Hanzhi had no company matters today and planned to go home with Little Bunny.
Unexpectedly, Little Bunny was quite busy. Sometimes, when other groups came for team-building, Little Bunny had to greet them. But since everyone in Nandu City knew the garden belonged to the Shen Group, no one dared trouble Little Bunny.
Shen Hanzhi had nothing to do and played games in Little Bunny’s office. Little Bunny almost wanted to assign her some work.
On the way home, Shen Hanzhi drove with the window open. Little Bunny leaned by the window, looking at the scenery.
As she looked, Little Bunny noticed a crazy-looking woman in the distance who seemed familiar. When they got closer, Little Bunny saw the woman’s darkened face clearly. It was Wu Yan. Years had passed, and Little Bunny had almost forgotten her.
The woman stood by the road, acting crazy. She ran and bent to pull weeds, missing one shoe.
The woman seemed to notice Shen Hanzhi’s car. She danced wildly toward it, grinning foolishly, with none of her former arrogance.
Little Bunny looked at Shen Hanzhi uncertainly and asked, “Was that Wu Yan just now?”
Shen Hanzhi nodded and said, “Yes, Wen Xin married in a nearby village and never thought to care for her mother.”
Little Bunny leaned into Shen Hanzhi’s arms. She stayed silent for a long time. Thinking of the Wen family now felt like a distant memory.
“Sister, I’m glad I have you,” Little Bunny said. Her mood dipped briefly, but she smiled sweetly at Shen Hanzhi.
If not for Shen Hanzhi, she’d still be locked in the Wen family’s attic, unable to read. Now, she had a college degree and managed this garden. She also owned properties and bonds Shen Hanzhi bought for her. As Shen Hanzhi said, she was truly a little rich lady now.
“Little Bunny knows how to act cute,” Shen Hanzhi said. She pulled the young girl closer and poked her dimple playfully.
The young girl stayed obediently in Shen Hanzhi’s arms, letting her play.
Back home, the aunts had prepared dinner. Little Bunny ate and praised the garden’s vegetables endlessly, making Shen Hanzhi laugh.
“Little Bunny loves praising herself,” Shen Hanzhi said.
“No way. Sister, don’t you think my garden’s cucumbers are extra crisp and sweet?” Little Bunny asked, blinking at Shen Hanzhi.
Shen Hanzhi went along and said, “Yes, my Little Bunny is the best. Your fruits taste good, and your vegetables taste even better.”
“That’s more like it,” Little Bunny said. She looked at Shen Hanzhi approvingly.
Shen Hanzhi laughed at Little Bunny’s reaction.
After dinner, back in their room, the young girl buried herself in Shen Hanzhi’s arms, unwilling to get up.
Shen Hanzhi looked at the unreasonable little bad rabbit in her arms, amused. She pinched Little Bunny’s earlobe and said, “Be good, go take a bath and rest early, okay?”
Little Bunny lazily shook her head, pressing her full weight onto Shen Hanzhi. She said, “No, Sister, help me bathe. You don’t dote on me like before.”
Shen Hanzhi patted Little Bunny’s lower back. She looked at the ungrateful little white rabbit and smiled. She said, “Alright, I’ll help my little bad rabbit bathe. If I do, does Little Bunny have any reward for me?”
The young girl lifted her face and bit Shen Hanzhi’s lip. She smiled and said, “Nope.”
“That won’t do. Little Bunny should give some payment. How about we have a little rabbit?” Shen Hanzhi asked. She kissed Little Bunny’s earlobe on purpose.
The young girl’s face turned red. She knew Sister wasn’t serious. To avoid Shen Hanzhi’s teasing, she said, “Didn’t Sister say two months ago we’d have a little rabbit? Why is there still no little rabbit?”
The young girl’s eyes sparkled. She kissed Shen Hanzhi’s lips and said, “I know, Sister must not be capable. How else is there no little rabbit after two months?”
Shen Hanzhi’s eyes darkened. She laughed, annoyed by the little bad rabbit. She said, “Fine, Little Jin. Don’t cry and run later. Sister will show you if I’m capable or not.”
“No way,” Little Bunny said, whining and biting Shen Hanzhi’s lip playfully. Shen Hanzhi carried her to the bathroom.
The little bad rabbit questioned her wife’s ability the previous day. As a result, she didn’t get up until past ten the next morning. Even after Shen Hanzhi bathed her, she felt soft and limp. Her body carried a strong lychee scent, as if marinated in it. Yesterday, Sister was fierce. Little Bunny cried from pleasure, and Sister still bullied her.
When Shen Hanzhi entered the room, she saw Little Bunny lying on the bed, whining. Her eyes softened as she brought warm water. She said, “Awake? Little Bunny, get up and drink some water.”
Little Bunny rolled in the blankets twice, whining without speaking.
Shen Hanzhi’s lips curved. She asked on purpose, “How was my performance last night? Does Little Bunny think Sister was capable?”
“Too capable,” Little Bunny whined. She feared saying otherwise would lead to another lesson from Sister.
Shen Hanzhi’s smile grew at Little Bunny’s praise. She said, “Good, Little Bunny knows now. Get up and drink warm water.”
Shen Hanzhi lifted Little Bunny and fed her warm water.
Little Bunny whined and snuggled against Shen Hanzhi. She said, “Sister, my legs are weak, and my waist has no strength. Carry me to wash up, and bring breakfast up for me to eat.”
“Alright, as Little Bunny wishes,” Shen Hanzhi said. She dutifully carried Little Bunny to wash up, then brought breakfast from downstairs. She held Little Bunny and fed her bit by bit.
After eating, Little Bunny lazily used Shen Hanzhi as a pillow. She leaned in Shen Hanzhi’s arms, watching dramas. Seeing a baby in the show, she looked at Shen Hanzhi and asked, “Sister, when will we have a baby?”
Shen Hanzhi kissed Little Bunny’s cheek and said, “Let it happen naturally. We’re not in a rush.”
Three months later, Little Bunny received her diploma from Nandu University. She officially graduated. As a vocational student, she didn’t need a thesis defense, so graduation was simple. She completed her records, got her diploma, and was done.
In late June, Shen Hanzhi invited Guan Ziyu and others for a barbecue at Rose Manor. Liu Can followed Guan Ziyu, very happy. The vast rose fields lifted everyone’s mood.
At noon during the barbecue, Little Bunny had a poor appetite. Shen Hanzhi saw her discomfort and told her to rest in the room. She soon followed.
Shen Hanzhi worried about Little Bunny’s health. That afternoon, she took her to their private hospital for tests. The doctor confirmed Little Bunny was one month pregnant.
Little Bunny’s eyes sparkled as she looked at Shen Hanzhi. She said, “Sister, we have a baby!”
“Yes, a little rabbit is coming. Take care of your health, but some work and exercise are good for the baby. Just don’t overdo it,” Shen Hanzhi said, smiling and advising.
“I know, Sister,” Little Bunny replied, overjoyed.
Aunt Liu heard Wen Jin was pregnant and worried about her. She moved back to Shen Hanzhi’s place to care for the pregnant Little Bunny.
Over the past three years, Liu Can’s intelligence didn’t improve much, but her self-care abilities progressed greatly. Now, talking to her, one could hardly tell she had any intellectual disability. She seemed simply innocent and cheerful.
Aunt Liu felt at ease about her daughter, especially with Qi Ying and others caring for her. Aunt Liu worried more about Wen Jin, who had no experience with pregnancy.
With Aunt Liu by her side, the young girl felt happier. Though she always had help and aunts at home, having a loved one with her during pregnancy felt different. When she went to work, Aunt Liu went along.
When Shen Hanzhi had no company matters, she stayed with the young girl, fearing she’d work too hard.
Wen Jin’s belly grew day by day. Shen Hanzhi prepared early, buying baby care books. When idle, she read fairy tales the baby might like to the belly.
Shen Hanzhi didn’t know if the baby listened, but after a few stories, Wen Jin fell asleep from tiredness.
Shen Hanzhi looked at Little Bunny, amused. She shook her head and thought, “Well, I didn’t read for nothing. Both baby and baby’s mom heard it. Two birds with one stone.”
