Chapter 61 (Main Story Completed)
When Little Bunny was over eight months old, Wen Jin stopped going to the orchard. She carried the little one in her belly and rested comfortably at home.
Shen Hanzhi rarely went to the company. She stayed home every day, accompanying her Little Bunny.
When the little one in Wen Jin’s belly reached nine months, Shen Hanzhi simply moved with Little Bunny into the luxurious ward of their group’s private hospital.
Shen Hanzhi massaged Little Bunny’s belly gently. She mumbled to the baby in the belly, “When will you come out, little rascal? Your mother works hard carrying you.”
The little one gave no response to Shen Hanzhi. Instead, Little Bunny smiled at Shen Hanzhi and said, “Sister, our baby will definitely be cute.”
“Yes, our little rabbit will surely be chubby and fair,” Shen Hanzhi replied. She thought about the baby’s appearance and felt happy.
After less than half a month in the hospital, the baby finally arrived. The little one was chubby and fair, with thick hair on its head. When unhappy, the baby cried loudly.
Shen Hanzhi looked at the crying little one in her arms, feeling helpless. She asked, “What’s wrong with our baby? Why does she cry so sadly?”
The nurse smiled at Shen Hanzhi and said, “Newborns are like this. Crying a bit does no harm.”
Shen Hanzhi looked at the soft baby in her arms. She gently rocked the baby, trying to stop the crying.
The little one cried for a while, then seemed tired. Her big eyes looked curiously at Shen Hanzhi.
Shen Hanzhi smiled happily at the little one. The baby’s mouth twitched, and she started crying loudly again.
“What’s wrong with the baby? Why does she cry again?” Shen Hanzhi muttered to herself.
Aunt Liu took the little one from Shen Hanzhi’s arms. She held and soothed the baby gently.
Shen Hanzhi went to the bedside to stay with Little Bunny. She asked, “Little Jin, are you okay?”
“Yes, let me see the baby,” Little Bunny replied. Her gaze turned to the baby, who gradually calmed down in Liu Fang’s arms.
Aunt Liu brought the baby over for Wen Jin to see. Wen Jin looked at the chubby little one in the swaddle. Her eyes curved as she said, “So cute, so chubby.”
As if sensing her mother watching, the little one opened her eyes and looked at Wen Jin. Then she closed her eyes again, smacking her lips, looking like she hadn’t fully woken up.
The baby had cried too hard earlier. Now tired, she only wanted to sleep.
Shen Hanzhi named the little one Shen Mu, with the nickname Mumu. Sometimes, Shen Hanzhi playfully called the baby Little Rabbit.
A month passed quickly. Wen Jin’s body recovered significantly. The baby also reached one month old.
The little one was healthy. Her cries were quite loud. Shen Hanzhi hired two nannies specifically to care for the baby daily.
Shen Hanzhi placed the little one on the big bed. She gently pinched the baby’s tiny hand to play. The baby’s hand was so small, barely bigger than a cat’s paw, incredibly cute.
Each time Shen Hanzhi touched the baby’s hand, the little one stretched out her hand defiantly, trying to grab Shen Hanzhi. Shen Hanzhi reacted much faster, dodging easily. The baby missed, and Shen Hanzhi touched her hand again, then dodged. After several failed grabs, the baby got upset. She looked at her mommy threateningly, opened her mouth, and let out a few “wah wah wah” sounds, showing no intention of crying.
Shen Hanzhi laughed at the little one’s antics. She looked at Wen Jin and said, “Little Jin, look at our baby. She even glares at me. So cute.”
The baby waved her little hands in the air. Her mouth stayed busy, making “ah ah” sounds.
Wen Jin leaned over to look at the little one. The baby’s legs weren’t idle either, kicking restlessly. When Wen Jin grabbed her little foot, the baby resisted, kicking to free herself from her mother’s hand.
“Our baby’s short legs are quite strong,” Shen Hanzhi said. She pinched the baby’s other leg.
The baby was unhappy about this. Her mouth twitched, looking ready to cry. Shen Hanzhi quickly offered her hand for the baby to play with. The little one’s hand, only half the size of Shen Hanzhi’s palm, grabbed Shen Hanzhi’s hand softly, even trying to bite it to taste.
Shen Hanzhi watched the curious little one, half-laughing, half-exasperated.
After playing for a while, the baby got hungry. She lay flat on the bed and started crying loudly, reaching for Wen Jin while crying.
Wen Jin picked up the little one and held her. She smiled and teased, “Little Mumu is so happy. She eats and sleeps, sleeps and eats. She’s becoming a chubby little rabbit.”
Wen Jin fed the baby while talking. Shen Hanzhi watched the baby eat eagerly from the side.
The baby ate leisurely, sometimes closing her eyes when tired.
Wen Jin noticed Shen Hanzhi staring. Her ears turned slightly red as she said, “Sister, the baby is eating. Don’t keep staring. It feels weird.”
“What’s weird about it? Can’t I even look?” Shen Hanzhi replied, looking at Wen Jin pitifully. Wen Jin ignored Shen Hanzhi and continued feeding the baby.
The baby ate heartily, occasionally opening her eyes to look at Shen Hanzhi, then closing them to keep eating.
After eating her fill, the baby turned her head to avoid more food. Wen Jin knew the little one was done. She handed the baby to Shen Hanzhi and went to the bathroom to clean up.
Shen Hanzhi held the well-fed little one and asked curiously, “Mumu, was your food tasty?”
The baby didn’t understand. Her big eyes darted around. Her little hand pushed Shen Hanzhi’s face away.
Shen Hanzhi kissed the baby’s hand, laughing. She said, “Little rascal, you bully Mommy after eating. I just asked if your food was good. Stingy.”
“Ah ah,” the stingy baby kicked her legs a few times, happily squirming.
Shen Hanzhi held the baby securely, rocking her gently to lull her to sleep.
Fresh from eating, the baby was full of energy and played happily with Shen Hanzhi.
Shen Hanzhi grabbed a toy to make the baby laugh. The baby’s chubby arms, like big white radishes, looked incredibly cute.
Wen Jin finished cleaning up and came out. Seeing the baby still awake, she took the little one from Shen Hanzhi, trying to coax her to sleep.
Finally, after an hour, the baby grew sleepy. Wen Jin handed her to the two nannies, who took her to sleep.
Shen Hanzhi sighed heavily. “Mumu is so energetic. She’s finally asleep.”
“Yes, I’m tired myself,” Wen Jin said. She leaned on the bed, almost falling asleep.
Shen Hanzhi held Little Bunny in her arms and kissed her cheek. She coaxed, “My Little Bunny worked hard.”
Wen Jin buried herself in Shen Hanzhi’s arms. She said, “Sister works hard too.”
“I’m not tired. I just take care of the big and small rabbits at home,” Shen Hanzhi said. She kissed Wen Jin’s lips to comfort her.
As if remembering something, Shen Hanzhi leaned to Little Bunny’s ear and asked, “Little Jin, is your chest okay? Does it feel full?”
“It’s not full. I pumped some earlier,” Little Bunny replied, her face slightly red.
“Next time it feels full, I can help,” Shen Hanzhi said seriously.
“No way. You’re definitely thinking something naughty,” Little Bunny said, her face red as she buried it in Shen Hanzhi’s arms.
“No way. I just want to taste the baby’s food. What bad intentions could I have?” Shen Hanzhi teased with a laugh.
Then Little Bunny’s small fists pounded Shen Hanzhi. Shen Hanzhi calmed down a bit and held Little Bunny for a nap.
The two were woken early by the little one. As soon as she woke, she wanted food. The nanny brought her to Wen Jin.
In the afternoon, it happened again. Around two, the baby woke. Seeing it wasn’t her mother or mommy, she cried loudly. The two nannies quickly soothed her and changed her diaper. The baby calmed slightly, babbling nonstop.
Shen Hanzhi and Little Bunny woke up past three in the afternoon. They got up, washed briefly, and went to find the little one.
In the room, one nanny shook a rattle to catch the baby’s attention. The baby’s eyes, like a kitten’s, followed the rattle. Her hands swung happily, trying to reach it.
Seeing Shen Hanzhi and Wen Jin arrive, the baby giggled happily.
Shen Hanzhi saw the baby laugh and happily picked her up. She kissed the baby’s cheek and said, “Mumu’s awake. Did you miss Mommy and Mother?”
The baby smiled even more at Shen Hanzhi, waving her arms and legs. Shen Hanzhi held her carefully, rocking her. Wen Jin grabbed a toy to amuse the baby. Children are cutest before three.
The weather outside was nice. Shen Hanzhi pushed the stroller, placing the baby inside. She and Wen Jin took the little one for a walk.
The baby looked at the greenery outside, very curious. She pointed everywhere with her little hands, saying, “Ah ah.”
Shen Hanzhi saw the baby point at flowers along the path. She smiled and said, “Those are flowers. Pretty, aren’t they?”
The baby kicked her legs happily. Wen Jin fanned her with a small fan. The baby lay comfortably, occasionally drinking water from her mother.
In the villa, many of Shen Hanzhi’s business partners saw her pushing the baby. They greeted the little one warmly. The baby wasn’t shy and smiled at everyone.
A female alpha close to Shen Hanzhi laughed and said, “President Shen, I never thought you’d be the first among us to have a baby. So cute. It makes me want to get married soon.”
“She’s cute but clingy. She looks for us as soon as she wakes. A sweet burden,” Shen Hanzhi said, proudly showing off her baby. She pushed the stroller to Guan Ziyu’s place.
Liu Can saw the baby and liked her. She said, “Sister, the baby is so cute.”
“Isn’t she? So chubby and fun,” Shen Hanzhi said, smiling.
Guan Ziyu looked at the baby in the stroller, her eyes softening. The child was indeed cute.
Shen Hanzhi lifted the baby from the stroller. The little one saw a big dog for the first time. Her eyes widened at Xiaohua, making Shen Hanzhi laugh. She said, “That’s a dog, all fluffy and good. When you grow up, you can play with it.”
The baby giggled at Xiaohua and snuggled against Shen Hanzhi happily.
At night, when Wen Jin fed the baby, she felt a burning gaze beside her.
Wen Jin pushed Shen Hanzhi and said, “Sister, don’t stare.”
“I’m not staring,” Shen Hanzhi said innocently.
After feeding the baby, Shen Hanzhi quickly took her to the nanny. She returned to Little Bunny.
“Little Jin, isn’t the pump inconvenient? Want Sister to help?” Shen Hanzhi asked.
“No way, um… don’t…” Wen Jin replied.
