Cang Yan narrowed her eyes dangerously: “Say that again.”
Noticing the change in Cang Yan’s tone, Shen Qingyuan repeated quietly: “I want to be your sugar daddy/mommy (to support you financially).”
Cang Yan couldn’t help but sneer. She stopped eating the cake, straightened her back, and said, “I didn’t expect your ambition to be so lofty. You’re not a rich person yourself, yet you want to become a rich person’s sponsor.”
Shen Qingyuan said weakly, “Didn’t you say you weren’t angry?”
She had said it was only if she had money.
But she didn’t have money, so it was just a dream.
Cang Yan forcibly suppressed a burst of anger and raised an eyebrow at Shen Qingyuan. Shen Qingyuan immediately knew she would follow up with: Which eye saw that I was angry?
In terms of twisting facts, if Cang Yan claimed to be second, no one dared to claim first.
Sure enough, in the next second, Cang Yan shrugged and said nonchalantly, “Isn’t this just you dreaming? Why should I be angry? Anyway, it’s impossible to achieve. Keep going. How do you plan to torment me after you become my sponsor?”
She wanted to see where Shen Qingyuan’s dream would go.
Shen Qingyuan was okay with talking big, but she didn’t actually want to offend Cang Yan. In this world, she couldn’t find a second beautiful and rich person like Cang Yan.
She shamelessly pretended to be innocent and said, “Next, I’ll wake up from the dream, and I’ll still be Jiejie’s little puppy.”
Sponsoring a rich person was impractical, but being sponsored by a rich person still held some hope. Shen Qingyuan’s whole being was shouting: I don’t want to struggle anymore. Come and sponsor me!
Cang Yan saw Shen Qingyuan proactively backing down and trying to end the topic, but she didn’t want to end it yet.
Cang Yan let the emotion simmer for a moment, then suddenly smiled sweetly and beckoned to Shen Qingyuan: “Come here.”
Her voice was soft and delicate, clear and moving. Gone was the cold aloofness, replaced by a hint of gentle sweetness.
Shen Qingyuan was slightly stunned. An unusual situation must mean trouble!
She shook her head, remaining still as a mountain.
She felt that going over would be very dangerous.
Cang Yan’s eyes slightly darkened, and she said coldly, “Come over!”
Shen Qingyuan had always “bullied the weak and feared the strong.” As soon as she heard Cang Yan’s tone turn sour, her legs disobeyed and walked over. She lowered her gaze, like a student preparing for corporal punishment.
Cang Yan fixed her eyes on Shen Qingyuan, a hint of playfulness flashing in her eyes. She suddenly reached out and grabbed Shen Qingyuan’s tie, pulling it forcefully and skillfully, bringing the two of them within inches of each other.
Shen Qingyuan bent over and thought: Holy crap!
It had been a while since she wore clothes with a fake collar. She didn’t expect to fall victim to Cang Yan’s evil intentions again. More importantly, being this close, she could clearly smell the delicate fragrance on Cang Yan.
Shen Qingyuan’s heart pounded uncontrollably, as if it was about to leap out of her chest. She turned her head away, afraid to look at Cang Yan again.
Cang Yan, however, said, “Look at me.”
Shen Qingyuan had no choice but to turn her head back. Her eyes first focused on Cang Yan’s lips—luscious in color, making her want to kiss them.
Then, slowly, her eyes moved up to meet Cang Yan’s gaze. Shen Qingyuan noticed a hint of teasing in her eyes and immediately wanted to retreat. However, before she could, Cang Yan suddenly leaned in and stopped next to her ear, breathing out: “Does it smell good?”
“It smells good.” Shen Qingyuan’s face flushed red from holding her breath.
This was blatant use of a honey trap!
And she couldn’t resist it, even though it hadn’t been like this last time!
Cang Yan asked again, “Then do you still want to be my sponsor?”
Shen Qingyuan shook her head frantically and said, “I don’t dare anymore. Jiejie can punish me however you want.”
Cang Yan pretended to hesitate, looking troubled: “Then who is the ‘rich person’s steel wool’ for?”
Shen Qingyuan felt a phantom pain in her nether regions and said with a pained expression, “I’ll handle it myself internally; I won’t use it on Jiejie.”
Cang Yan smiled with satisfaction. For the first time, she truly acknowledged her own attractiveness. She was indeed beautiful in Shen Qingyuan’s eyes. With just a little provocation, Shen Qingyuan fell into the trap.
She drew a conclusion: Shen Qingyuan was very lustful.
Cang Yan was about to let go of Shen Qingyuan’s tie when she noticed Shen Qingyuan’s eyes were hazy, and she was slowly moving closer to her again. Cang Yan immediately felt a sense of claustrophobic pressure.
The normal script shouldn’t be to back away fiercely, right?
She felt a little scared. Was Shen Qingyuan really planning to get frisky with her right now? Cang Yan quickly flicked her finger, and a spot of white appeared on Shen Qingyuan’s smooth skin—it was cream.
She said, “Stop! Don’t come any closer!”
Shen Qingyuan only felt a chill on her nose. Cang Yan had mercilessly pushed her away. The force wasn’t strong, and she didn’t fall, but she stumbled backward.
Shen Qingyuan inexplicably felt heartbroken. She forgot why she had taken out her phone and how the conversation about sponsoring a rich person started. She sat still, spacing out.
Her mind was full of the rich, warm fragrance and soft, gentle words Cang Yan had just breathed out, as well as that audacious dream.
If Cang Yan could really be her obedient sweetheart and treasure, that would be wonderful.
Shen Qingyuan sat idly, daydreaming.
Cang Yan wiped her fingers and continued eating the cake.
Shen Qingyuan’s liking for her was too obvious.
Even if it wasn’t love, it was lust for her beauty.
And she even fantasized about sponsoring her?
She even wanted to use the “rich person’s steel wool” on her?
She didn’t like someone like Shen Qingyuan.
Hmph! Cang Yan pouted, firmly deciding to stay away from Shen Qingyuan in the future—too dangerous!
Should she just send her back home?
Cang Yan pondered the possibility of divorcing Shen Qingyuan, but she had agreed with her parents to try it for a year. Besides, she didn’t want to go back on her word. Most importantly, she felt Shen Qingyuan didn’t have the guts to do it either.
She asked, “Shen Qingyuan, do you think you have good character?”
Shen Qingyuan snapped out of her daze, pulled out a tissue to wipe off the cream, and said, “I have pretty good character. I’ve always been a model student, a labor model.”
Cang Yan didn’t bother to check the truth, and said meaningfully, “Then, ‘Do not impose on others what you yourself do not desire,’ you know that, right?”
“I know. Didn’t Confucius say that? Why? You don’t want to be sponsored by me?”
Shen Qingyuan explained seriously, “Don’t worry, that was just a hypothetical. I will never have the money to sponsor you in my lifetime. You will always be the rich person.”
Cang Yan: “…”
Forget it. It’s like ‘playing a lute to a cow,’ or ‘a chicken talking to a duck’ (miscommunication).
Why should she be afraid of a twenty-year-old college student?
Besides, Shen Qingyuan was such a coward.
Shen Qingyuan didn’t know she was almost divorced by Cang Yan.
When Aunt Cai announced dinner was ready, Shen Qingyuan finally remembered she took out her phone to look up anorexia. As for Mo Ze, let him handle himself.
Cang Yan saw Shen Qingyuan looking carefree again and immediately felt much better. Shen Qingyuan was indeed just lustful, not genuinely in love with her.
Shen Qingyuan put her phone on the dining table and said, “The internet says that if you have a poor appetite, you should get more sun, exercise more, and maintain a healthy body and positive psychological state.”
Although Cang Yan had no appetite, she ate some since Shen Qingyuan was there. She said, “You believe everything on the internet?”
Shen Qingyuan said, “How will you know without trying? Anyway, you won’t lose a piece of flesh. Or we can go to a regular hospital; the doctor’s advice is definitely right.”
Cang Yan had been to the hospital before. She asked curiously, “Shen Qingyuan, why are you so fond of poking your nose into other people’s business? What does my eating or not eating have to do with you?”
Shen Qingyuan smiled shyly and said, “People still have to have dreams, right? Although I think it’s impossible, I’m afraid that one day when I hit the jackpot and get rich, you’ll be as thin as a bamboo pole. What would I sponsor a bamboo pole for?”
Cang Yan: “…”
Shen Qingyuan pleaded, “Let’s try.”
“No try! A bamboo pole is a bamboo pole! You just said you wanted to use ‘rich person’s steel wool’ on me,” Cang Yan held a grudge. She only used wax, but Shen Qingyuan wanted to use steel wool on her. Just thinking about it made her lower body ache.
It was utterly vicious.
“That was a daydream, just a beautiful aspiration. Once the dream is over, nothing is left,” Shen Qingyuan said speechlessly.
She had clearly also said that when she was obedient, she was a sweetheart and a treasure. Why did Cang Yan only remember the steel wool?
She was also sad that Cang Yan used a honey trap to lure her, only lighting the fire but not extinguishing it.
Cang Yan said, “What other aspirations do you have? Say them all at once, so you don’t surprise me later.”
“Eat this?” Shen Qingyuan handed her a box of digestion tablets.
Cang Yan: “…”
In late November, a cold snap hit, and the temperature dropped sharply. Cang Yan woke up feeling noticeably cold. She put on thick winter clothes but saw Shen Qingyuan jumping in the yard in a short-sleeved shirt, doing squats, apparently.
Wasn’t she cold?
What if she got sick and passed it on to her?
Cang Yan watched for a long time, shrinking her neck. Not wanting to go out, she nestled in a recliner on the balcony, covered with a thick blanket, and called out, “Shen Qingyuan?”
Shen Qingyuan didn’t respond.
“Shen Qingyuan?”
Still no response.
Cang Yan’s face instantly darkened. Was Shen Qingyuan giving her attitude? She went back to her room, put on a coat, and walked closer, wanting to question Shen Qingyuan. Shen Qingyuan belatedly took off her headphones and asked, “Something wrong?”
Cang Yan hadn’t expected the headphones to be the culprit. She couldn’t vent her anger, so she said with a bad temper, “I already told you there’s a gym on the third floor. What are you jumping around for out here?”
Shen Qingyuan said, “I like the outdoors; the air is fresh.”
Cang Yan stood there for a while and felt the cold. She saw Shen Qingyuan’s nose was slightly red, clearly from the cold, and said irritably, “You’re constantly moving around here and bothering my eyes. Go exercise in the gym, not here.”
Shen Qingyuan: “…”
Cang Yan was very nosy.
“Okay.”
Cang Yan was most afraid of getting sick, so she never slacked off on keeping warm in winter. She didn’t feel there was any problem with telling Shen Qingyuan to leave.
The gym was fully equipped with exercise facilities. Shen Qingyuan immediately fell in love with the place. It was indeed much better than jumping around downstairs. She put on her headphones, got on the treadmill, and ran while listening to English listening practice.
Cang Yan sat on a yoga mat. She watched until she got tired. She didn’t know how Shen Qingyuan could run for so long.
Shen Qingyuan’s body under the white tank top was undulating and robust.
Cang Yan felt a bit envious.
When Shen Qingyuan finished running, she asked, “Are you building muscle?”
Had Shen Qingyuan’s niche aesthetic finally been defeated by the mainstream aesthetic? Did she really want to build muscle and then ask a rich person to sponsor her?
Cang Yan’s mind was filled with chaotic fantasies.
“I’m losing weight.” Shen Qingyuan wanted to be a bit slimmer. Although she had been exercising recently, the intensity wasn’t high, and the ab lines the original owner left her were almost gone.
Cang Yan looked her over and said, “You’re not fat.”
Shen Qingyuan wiped her sweat: “I want to be healthier.”
Cang Yan stopped talking, left the gym, went downstairs, nestled on the sofa, and continued her sofa-lounging endeavor. She also wished she could exercise like Shen Qingyuan, but her body didn’t allow it.
Shen Qingyuan found it strange but didn’t think much of it. She went back to her room for a shower, then went to school.
Li Xinyan gossiped, “I heard Senior Mo Ze was taken away by the police. Do you know why?”
Shen Qingyuan was delighted in her heart, thinking, It’s finally starting. She pretended to be confused and said, “I don’t know.”
She rushed home excitedly, wanting to share the news with Cang Yan, but saw Cang Yan sitting with a worried expression. She wasn’t playing with her phone or eating cake; she was just sitting there with two medical examination reports on the table in front of her.
Seeing her return, Cang Yan announced listlessly, like she was giving a notice, “I don’t have diabetes.”
Shen Qingyuan immediately broke into a smile: “Congratulations, congratulations.”
It was good that she didn’t. Diabetes is incurable, and if Cang Yan got it at a young age, she would have to treat it for life.
Cang Yan felt there was nothing to congratulate. She had said she didn’t have diabetes all along. She looked at the check-up report and complained, “But I have mammary gland hyperplasia.”
Although most women have hyperplasia, she was certain it was caused by Shen Qingyuan’s provocation. She never had it before.
Cang Yan stared at Shen Qingyuan without saying a word.
Shen Qingyuan found it strange why Cang Yan was looking at her like that. She looked innocent and said, “What does mammary gland hyperplasia have to do with me? It’s not like I rubbed it into existence.”
Cang Yan: “…”
Fine, donate her hand too!
