Are You Trying to Mark Me? (GL, ABO) - Chapter 6
Min Wenyi’s smooth skin still showed red marks from sleepiness.
“W-why do you sleep without wearing clothes?!”
Yu Ran fell back onto the floor, staring at Min Wenyi sitting on the bed, her face flushed bright red, not knowing where to look!
Min Wenyi didn’t seem to care. She tossed her long hair behind her, crossed her legs on the bed, and looked at the embarrassed Yu Ran with a slight smile.
This little thing’s reaction was really cute.
“Sleeping is so comfortable—why would I wear clothes for that?”
Min Wenyi chuckled softly. “Besides, I’m not completely naked. See, I’m still wearing something.”
Following her gaze, Yu Ran looked down and saw Min Wenyi tapping her black lace panties with her finger.
Boom! Yu Ran’s whole head felt like it exploded!
“You pervert!”
Before Min Wenyi could react, Yu Ran threw the blanket over her face, completely covering her.
Hearing Yu Ran scramble downstairs, Min Wenyi sighed, pulled the blanket down, and muttered, “Why are you so scared? It’s not like you’re an Omega…”
After putting on clothes, Min Wenyi went downstairs and saw Yu Ran squatting in her room, doing something unknown.
She didn’t bother asking and casually walked to the dining table. Seeing the dishes prepared, she picked up a piece of popcorn chicken and popped it into her mouth.
Mmm, delicious!
She hadn’t eaten something this good in a long time. Min Wenyi didn’t care that the little bunny was hiding something secretly—she just sat down and ate by herself.
Yu Ran’s vegetarian dishes tasted good, but surprisingly, the meat dishes were also excellent.
Min Wenyi tried a bit of everything on the full table of food—even the lotus root she usually avoided, she ate two extra pieces.
When she was almost done eating, Yu Ran slowly walked over to her side.
“You’re here?” Min Wenyi said, sipping her porridge. “Want to sit down and eat something?”
Yu Ran, still upset, didn’t answer.
She had just stayed in her room, calming down for a full twenty minutes before daring to leave her bedroom door.
It wasn’t that Min Wenyi’s body was too distracting—after all, she was a celebrity with an amazing figure—it was just that…
For an Omega to see an Alpha’s body, Yu Ran needed a moment to calm down!
Every time she closed her eyes, all she saw was Min Wenyi’s fair chest and long legs. And the owner of that body was just sitting there, eating in front of her. How could Yu Ran stay calm?!
Ahhhhhh—
And that damn rum smell got stronger again!!!
Yu Ran covered her nose and looked at Min Wenyi. “Boss, your pheromones…”
Min Wenyi waved her hand, helpless. “You Betas are pretty sensitive. Is the smell still there now?”
Yu Ran sniffed and said, “No, it’s gone.”
Min Wenyi pinched a cucumber stick she had cut, looking faintly at Yu Ran and asked, “Yu Ran, have you smelled any other pheromones besides mine recently?”
Yu Ran froze, staring blankly at her.
Min Wenyi continued, “Something like the smell of milk—it should be an Omega. I’ve been smelling it a lot lately.”
Yu Ran’s hands and feet started to feel cold from fear. She gave an awkward smile, “I-I’m a Beta, naturally not sensitive to pheromones. Maybe there are other Omegas nearby…”
Min Wenyi stared at Yu Ran’s restless eyes, thought for a moment, and said, “Maybe.”
Yu Ran lowered her head and carefully sniffed herself again to check if she was giving off any pheromones by accident. She wrinkled her nose—there was no smell at all.
Looking up, she saw Min Wenyi watching her the whole time, so she stood up and said, “I still have soup boiling in the pot. I’ll get you a bowl.”
“Running away” really suited Yu Ran right now.
Finding a job wasn’t easy, and she didn’t want to be treated like a breeding tool.
Yu Ran sighed softly as she served the soup.
If Min Wenyi ever found out who she really was, would she still want her to stay here?
After all, having an Omega around might make things awkward for Min Wenyi…
Carrying a small bowl of pork rib and radish soup, Yu Ran stepped out but didn’t see anyone sitting by the dining table.
“Hmm, hmm, this afternoon, right?”
From the balcony came the sound of a conversation. Yu Ran turned and saw Min Wenyi making a phone call.
It seemed work-related, and they talked for more than ten minutes before hanging up.
Yu Ran looked up at her. “Are you going out this afternoon?”
“Mm.”
Min Wenyi spoke calmly, “I’ve got a last-minute role to take on. I’ll be shooting two scenes this afternoon.”
“But you just wrapped up yesterday. Aren’t you tired?” Yu Ran asked as she placed a bowl of pork rib soup in front of her. “Won’t it be exhausting?”
The pork rib and radish soup were delicious. Min Wenyi took two sips before replying, “This time I’m not the lead, just a small supporting role. I’ll be done in two or three days.”
As she spoke, she glanced at Yu Ran sitting across from her. “Come with me to the film studio this afternoon.”
It was still at the Eastern Film Studio. Yu Ran followed closely behind Min Winyi, walking in step with her.
Next to Min Wenyi was her agent, a middle-aged woman who was patiently explaining the details of the upcoming collaboration.
“The lead actor of this drama is Lu An. You’ll be playing his older sister, who passes away when he’s young,” the agent said as she led the two of them forward. “The script is with the screenwriter, and your character has been customized according to your request. If there’s anything you don’t understand, make sure to communicate with the director.”
The two of them chatted back and forth without realizing that Yu Ran had been quietly searching on her phone behind them.
Lu An, a popular Omega actor, had debuted as a trainee. He had released singles and albums, and this youth drama was his first acting project.
There were plenty of online profiles about Lu An, but there was almost no information about this drama.
It made sense, though—if they released details early, what would be the point of watching the show?
Yu Ran put her phone away and pulled out her autograph book, planning to get Lu An’s signature if she ran into him on set.
Determined, Yu Ran jogged to catch up with Min Winyi, who was leading the way.
Since she wasn’t a lead actor, Min Wenyi didn’t have a private makeup room. Instead, they were using Lu An’s rest area.
When they pushed the door open, Yu Ran immediately spotted the person inside.
The person had short hair, wearing headphones and a sweatshirt. If it weren’t for the pleated skirt, Yu Ran would have thought she was a boy.
“It’s you!” Yu Ran recognized her immediately—the same “tomboy” who had stood up for her in the temporary rest area half a month ago.
The person smiled lightly and said to the three of them, “I’m Lu An’s assistant. He’s still filming, so you’re welcome to use the rest area.”
Min Wenyi glanced at Yu Ran, seemingly noticing the familiarity between the two. She nodded and asked, “What’s your name?”
The assistant smiled. “I’m Tong Xinxin. Just call me Xinxin.”
With that, she casually put her hands in her hoodie pockets and smiled happily.
Yu Ran’s eyes brightened. Aside from taking care of Min Winyi, she hadn’t made any other friends in the past half month. Seeing Tong Xinxin felt like meeting a new best friend!
Noticing Yu Ran’s excitement, Min Wenyi didn’t force her to stay. She told Tong Xinxin to call the makeup artist and then left the room with Yu Ran.
Outside, in a small corner of the set, Yu Ran saw Tong Xinxin standing with a young man, talking to him.
Yu Ran walked over and stopped at a distance.
“Your heat period is coming soon, right?” Tong Xinxin said, hands in her pockets. “The doctor said you can’t keep doing this. If you wait until you’ve found an Alpha match, it’ll be really tough on you during your heat.”
The young man, sitting in the shade, didn’t look up. He was fiddling with a leaf in his hand.
Just when Yu Ran thought he wouldn’t respond, she heard a cold, clear voice say, “So what? Just get it removed.”
Tong Xinxin sighed, pulling out a bottle of water and some medicine from her bag. She said to the young man, “Lu An, I’m begging you, take the medicine on time.”
Lu An looked up, his face pale and delicate, with typical Omega features. His big eyes were like pools of clear water, his nose and mouth small and delicate.
He clearly disliked the suppressants, but he still grabbed the pills and swallowed them, drinking an entire bottle of water.
Yu Ran understood—she didn’t like the taste of suppressants either, but she knew the consequences if she didn’t take them on time. No matter how bad they tasted, they had to be swallowed.
Lu An seemed to notice someone watching him. He looked up and locked eyes with Yu Ran. The two of them stared at each other, and Yu Ran hurriedly greeted him.
“Hello,” Yu Ran said. “I’m Yu Ran. I’m here to find Xinxin.”
Lu An turned his head to Tong Xinxin and said, “Your friend?”
Tong Xinxin was surprised. She didn’t expect Yu Ran to come find her, but she walked over and said, “What’s up? Is it about the rest area…?”
“No, my boss is discussing things with the director, and she doesn’t need me for now, so I came to find you.” Yu Ran smiled. “Have you eaten lunch yet? Want to go grab something?”
Tong Xinxin laughed. “I already ate. But if you’re hungry, there’s a convenience store not far from here. They sell homemade sandwiches, and they’re really good.”
“Actually, I was thinking of bringing something for my boss too. If she doesn’t eat something this afternoon, she’ll get really irritable.”
“Min Wenyi has that little quirk? She’s hard to please, huh?”
“No, actually, my boss isn’t that demanding. She’s easy to get along with as long as she’s well-fed.”
“Hahaha, that’s a new way to describe Min Winyi. You’re probably the first person to say that about her.”
While the two assistants chatted happily, Lu An remained seated under the shade of a tree, holding his stomach. He was a bit hungry.
He looked Yu Ran up and down, his gaze filled with suspicion.
This little assistant had a really nice figure—she didn’t seem like a Beta at all.
But if she were an Omega, how could she be working as an assistant in an entertainment industry full of Alphas?
“Hey,” Lu An said, looking at Yu Ran, “Your boss is Min Winyi, right?”
Yu Ran didn’t expect him to talk to her. Feeling a little nervous, she replied, “Yes, that’s right.”
Lu An rested his elbow on his knee, propping his chin up. With a puzzled expression, he asked, “Little assistant, are you a Beta or an Omega?”
