As a Second Reincarnation Bonus, I Kept Rerolling and Ended Up Reincarnating as the Character Who Should’ve Had the Easiest Life... or So I Thought - Episode 6: During the Festival
Episode 6: During the Festival
In a world wrapped in stars, she was drifting into sleep.
This happened just after Atlas had been reincarnated.
In this world, even the slightest footstep echoed. The sharp sound of heels disturbed Ariana’s sleep.
“Was that really okay? That was a wonderful soul, wasn’t it?”
A junior angel with short green hair looked exasperatedly at Ariana, who was sitting on the throne.
“It was fine. Just like that.”
“Ehh, really? I kinda think you should’ve given him a more important role, or else it won’t mean much. I’m a little worried, y’know?”
“It’s best if the person becomes what they want to be. More importantly, are the preparations ready?”
The junior angel smiled broadly and confidently replied, “Absolutely! All ready to go.”
“To think we could secure a soul from the same world — and not only that, someone connected to *that* person. Isn’t that, like, super lucky? No… it might be fate.”
“Yes, fate. This world is definitely going to get interesting.”
“They’ll be arriving here soon. By the way, who are you going to reincarnate them as next?”
Ariana rose gracefully from the throne. She then raised her clasped hands above her head and stretched.
Then, while yawning, she passed by her junior.
“I’ll just make them into whatever they wish to be. But maybe I’ll include a little thank-you gift.”
“With some cheating involved, huh?”
“Hey. Don’t say such things.”
“But come on! That wasn’t a real gacha at all. You were only introducing super handsome guys and beautiful girls — and all of them crucial to the fate of the world!”
The green-haired angel was the type to say things other angels couldn’t possibly say.
Surprisingly, Ariana quite liked that about her.
“I did do a proper lottery from within that selection. Reincarnating someone as a nobody would just be a waste.”
“Yeah, yeah. Well, I’ll take my leave—”
“Wait. *You’re* the one who’s doing it.”
“…Huh?”
The unexpected words froze her in place.
“I didn’t tell you, did I? You and I are going to create this world.”
“First I’ve heard of it.”
“I’m telling you now. So I’ll leave that soul to you.”
“Eh, wait! Ariana-sa—”
In a flash, the senior angel’s figure vanished. It left the green-haired angel in stunned silence.
“Ehhhhh!? What do I do, what do I do? I’ve never helped with a reincarnation before!”
Though she panicked at the sudden unreasonable request, there was no time left.
Because that soul had already appeared. It was floating gently into the starlit world.

Three months after the commotion with the prince, the Founding Festival of Growarth was finally held.
Nobles, commoners, and travelers from across the continent gathered in the royal capital. And it was far more crowded than usual.
But no one disliked the crowd — everyone’s face was filled with smiles.
The Lothian family had performed well as head organizers of the festival. They gained even greater trust from the king.
It was now rumored that their elevation to duke rank was close at hand.
Atlas also participated in the festival and was finally enjoying himself for the first time in a while.
Along with his little brother Iru and their butler Cézard, who was acting as their chaperone, the three walked down the central street of the royal capital.
“Onii-chan, there are so many food stalls!”
“Should we get some candy?”
“I want a mask! That one!”
“That one… might not be a good idea.”
“Why not?”
The mask Iru pointed at was the type used at masquerade balls.
He worried whether it was okay for a child to wear such a suspicious-looking thing.
“Hey! I want that one, I want the mask!”
“Let’s not. It’ll draw the wrong kind of attention.”
“Ehh! I really want it!”
“Then how about a toy sword instead? Let’s go buy one.”
“Really!? Let’s go!”
(Iru’s so simple. But I guess that’s fine for a child.)
Though they didn’t look all that different in age, Atlas internally saw Iru more like a son.
Of course, in his previous life, he had never had a child. But he thought this must be how it felt if one did.
The butler quietly watched over the brothers from behind so as not to disturb them.
Seeing the affectionate siblings, the old man couldn’t help but smile.
In the original story world, the Lothian brothers never got along from beginning to end.
So this kind of scene would have been impossible.
(If only we could go on living like this…)
But fate surely wouldn’t allow that — that must be what lay ahead.
He now regretted not asking the angel more about this world.
Atlas still didn’t know enough about the world.
He hadn’t been able to gather the information he wanted from the people around him or the books in the library.
If this world had been overflowing with information like when he was in Japan, he might’ve had more options.
At the very least, he wanted knowledge about magic.
(Hmm? Magic…)
At that moment, a thought crossed his mind.
He looked up at the butler walking just behind him and decided to ask.
“I heard there are shops in the capital that sell magic. Is that true?”
“Yes, of course there are.”
“There’s something I’ve been wondering. Is magic really something that can be sold? I tried reading books, but I still don’t quite get it.”
The moment the word “magic” came up, it immediately piqued Iru’s interest.
“Magic! I want to know about it too! I want to try it!”
“Do you get to use it if you buy it?”
“Well now, magic does require talent. However, Master Atlas and Master Iru may possess tremendous potential. By the way, I believe there was a magic shop on this very street.”
At those words, the little brother’s eyes sparkled.
“Really!? I want to see it! Let’s go look!”
“Master Atlas, would that be alright?”
“I’m curious too. Let’s take a detour.”
“Yay!”
Seeing his little brother jump with excitement, the older brother smiled too.
After walking down the main street for a while, they saw an ordinary-looking house on the right.
“Oh. This should be the place.”
The sign on the roof, which Cézard looked up at, read: Bersherika Magic Shop.
