She didn’t care what happened to others—only what benefited her.

And to think… she used to chat so casually with Hanashiro.

Yet when it came time to betray her, she didn’t even hesitate.

Jealousy, perhaps?

They’re all the same.

Selfish. Greedy.

Maybe it’d be easier if I just sacrificed the lot of them…

Suppressing that thought, I led them toward the lower-level safe zone of Musashino Dungeon.

And then…

“Here we go.”

I raised the stone—

Dark light appeared.

Stepping forward, we entered the hidden room.

The Stench Hit Me Immediately.

Ugh…

What the hell?

It had never smelled like this before.

The room was always dark and sterile—just another lifeless space.

But now…

Why does it stink so badly?

And this smell—

Human…?

“Hey! Over there!!”

Kurondo’s voice snapped my attention forward.

And what I saw—

“No way…”

A Demon.

Why is a demon here?

They’re only supposed to appear once in a while.

How did one show up again so soon?

“RUN!—Huh?!”

I spun on my heel, lunging toward the dark light—

But it was gone.

“Ryuya… why is there no exit?”

“Sh1t! We’re trapped?!”

There was no way out.

This had never happened before.

And then—

I saw them.

“Bujin…! Meri…?!”

I approached.

Their bodies…

Their mangled bodies…

No—they were still alive.

Bujin lay in a pool of bl00d, his limbs bent at grotesque angles, slashed apart—so damaged, he’d never be an explorer again.

Meri’s body—covered in severe burn wounds, her dignity in shreds.

The stench was coming from them.

What the hell is this…?

Did the demon do this?

Why?

I had no answers.

But I did know one thing—

This was bad.

Really, really bad.

But we had no way to escape.

So we could only stand there, frozen in horror.
