~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It seems my [Territory] is called [Factory]. Its effect is the ability to turn objects into weapons. Various items can be transformed into weapons.
“(This is kind of hard to imagine.)”
Well, I guess I’ll understand more once I start using it.
There’s also a section for ‘Additional Effects’ in the [Territory]. As the name suggests, it seems I can add new effects to the [Territory].
“(Initially, I can add up to two… which ones should I choose?)”
Currently, there are two slots available for ‘Additional Effects’. There are twelve potential effects. Since these effects also apply to me, I’ll exclude those that reduce performance and the ones that enhance combat readiness, which doesn’t seem necessary right now. This leaves seven candidates.
Each effect seems useful, so it’s a tough decision.
“(Well, it looks like I can switch them later as many times as I want, so for now, I’ll go with ‘Masterwork’ and ‘Mass Production’.)”
Having decided on that, I attempted to add them but paused the [Territory] operation.
“(Oh, increasing effects also increases |Mana| consumption.)”
It makes sense. More functions mean more fuel needed.
“(Even without adding effects, the weaponization effect is still present. I’ll try it in its plain form first.)”
After finishing the Hydra meat—initially full before {Evolution}, but now more food needed with increased volume and room —my preparations were complete.
I gathered all my |Mana| into one point and compressed it with all my might. Despite being a new process, my beast instincts allowed me to perform it smoothly.
The concentrated |Mana| reached a threshold, radiating heat and pulsing like a heartbeat at my core. This was the sign that I could use [Territory].
“[Territory], activate!”
In an instant, the air changed completely. The power field radiating from me enveloped, transformed, and controlled the surrounding world.
The noise around me was the sound of transformation. The fundamental laws of the world were distorting, and everything was slowly but surely changing into forms suited for killing.
For example, trees: their branches became sharp, unnecessary branches and leaves were trimmed, knots and bumps were smoothed out, and each trunk transformed into a straight spear.
Other trees had their leaves hardened and sharpened like blades, and trunks thickened and bark hardened to become clubs.
Even the water-saturated ground was coated with a glare reminiscent of a file.
“(So this is the power of [Territory – Factory]…!)”
Seeing the transformation of the plants, I couldn’t help but be amazed. Although the range was limited to about ten meters, the power of [Territory] was clearly impressive.
With this power, for example, even if hundreds of beasts attacked, I could potentially kill them all just by standing still. At the very least, if a goblin stepped here, it would be pierced and defeated by countless spikes formed from the grass and flowers.
“(With the range narrowed, the |Mana| consumption is quite light. As expected of the power of a Sovereign Beast.)”
I then deactivated the [Territory] and stored the weaponized plants. Of course, I didn’t forget to analyze the information before putting them away.
The analysis capability of [Intensified Warfare] was higher than that of [Replicant Form], and the analysis proceeded quite smoothly.
By the way, analysis information is synchronized between [Skills], so weapons analyzed with [Intensified Warfare] can also be replicated with [Replicant Form].
“(Well, that’s all the plant-based stuff done. What remains is this… but is it okay to use this as a weapon?)”
What’s left is the remains of the Hydra.
Since my [Decomposition Liquid] can’t dissolve the fangs, scales, or bones, those parts were left behind. They have now been affected by the [Territory] and are in the process of being turned into weapons.
Or rather, are they still in the middle of transformation?
Each head has been separated, turning into what looks like failed weapon forms.
“(It seems that the higher the quality of the material, the slower the transformation.)”
This area is considered the Grand Beast Region by humans, and plants here grow robustly due to the high |Mana|. But even so, they are still plants.
They didn’t have the power to resist the interference of the [Factory].
But how about the Hydra’s remains?
Being a Sovereign Beast, it seems that my newly learned [Territory] couldn’t easily transform it.
“(What an incredible material… I’m looking forward to turning it into a weapon.)”
I stored the Hydra, which had been divided into five chunks. Even in this state, it was barely considered a weapon.
With that, I left the area, a cleared land with a radius of about ten meters.
I still want to try various things, but I moved around quite a bit during the battle with the Hydra.
This place is in the shallower part of the Grand Beast Region.
I should get back to the base in the deeper part of the Region before adventurers find me.
