Banishment is Fine: As a Genius Saint, I Can Shine Anywhere. - Chapter 2
Chapter 2:Â Episode 1.3
“May the wound heal…”
As she said this, a warm glow enveloped the wound, and in no time, the swelling disappeared completely.
“This is incredible… Is there any wound you can’t heal, Saintess?”
Segin is impressed as he rubs his calf. Meteora just shrugged lightly in response.
“Not true. I can’t fully heal life-threatening injuries. Even ordinary people know a saintess’ power isn’t unlimited.”
“Well, yes, but your power is extraordinary, Saintess.”
“True. It’s no secret that I’m the most talented saintess.”
Lionel, listening to this, couldn’t help but be amazed. While her skills were indeed impressive, he thought she could be a bit more humble.
“Now, you’re the only one left, Captain.”
“Fortunately, I’m not injured. Enhanced humans are generally tougher than ordinary ones.”
“I can see that, but you have dark circles under your eyes. You must be tired.”
Meteora pointed to the area under his eyes. Lionel instinctively touched his face.
“I’ll relieve your fatigue.”
Before Lionel could respond, Meteora raised her staff and uttered healing words. Instantly, he felt his body lighten, as if the weight on his shoulders had been lifted.
“…My body feels lighter.”
“Good. Fatigue can lead to injuries, so even if you’re not hurt, make sure to get regular healing.”
Meteora stood up slowly, but noticing her unsteady steps, Lionel offered his hand.
“You must be tired too. Even a genius gets exhausted after constant activity.”
“Thank you. I am a bit tired.”
Meteora accepted Lionel’s support and sat down on the mat.
“Sorry, Saintess. We should have been more considerate.”
“Here’s some food. It’s not much, but…”
Noticing her condition, the knights hurried over, offering their rations.
“Thank you, but this is your food. I can’t take it.”
“If you didn’t bring your own, just accept it. You’re part of our squad now. As the captain, I can’t let my members collapse from hunger and fatigue.”
“I’m not your subordinate.”
Meteora looked displeased but accepted the food and water.
“This solid stuff is terribly tasteless.”
“We wish we could offer better food.”
“I appreciate you sharing it. But… it’s still awful.”
Lionel laughed as Meteora grimaced while chewing. Even a genius saintess had the taste preferences of a young girl, he thought.
“Maybe we should find a town and get some warm food while replenishing our water?”
“No, let’s save that for after we fix the stakes. We need to prioritize.”
“You’re quite a dedicated saintess.”
Lionel, genuinely impressed, commented, and Meteora proudly nodded while taking another bite.
“Of course, I am a rare genius saintess. My resolve is different from ordinary saintesses.”
“Indeed. We’re fortunate to have you.”
“And I’m glad you’re a decent captain to talk to.”
Decent… Quite a harsh judgment, thought Lionel, smiling wryly.
Having her around was undoubtedly a relief. Thanks to the talismans placed around the temple, there was no sign of monsters approaching.
That night, for the first time in months, the knights were able to sleep soundly until morning.
