Being a Tutor to a Rich, Psychopathic Young Lady - Chapter 10
Chapter 10
Shi Mingyue got up early and went to the school’s supermarket. When she pushed the door open, a wave of heat rushed in. Shi Mingyue saw Xiao Dengqu spacing out, pinching her own ear. She put the plastic bag on the table and looked up. “What’s wrong? Are you hungry?”
Xiao Dengqu nodded sleepily, leaning on the edge of the bed and smiling at her. “Teacher, do you know…”
“Hmm?” Shi Mingyue looked at her in confusion. Xiao Dengqu shook her head again, not sharing the matter of her ear having a fever.
Shi Mingyue took a toothbrush and a cup out of the bag. Xiao Dengqu climbed down from the bed. Shi Mingyue scalded the cup with hot water, filled it, and handed it to her. Shi Mingyue opened the window and took down the clothes hanging outside, then used a pole to take down her underwear.
Xiao Dengqu watched her while brushing her teeth. Shi Mingyue folded the vest and shorts she had worn yesterday neatly and placed them on the table.
Xiao Dengqu went into the bathroom to change. Her skin felt the warmth of the sun, which was very warm and cozy.
Shi Mingyue applied the ointment to her again. The bumps from yesterday had gone down, leaving a few red marks and scabs from where she had scratched. She put bandages on them and asked, “Did you sleep well?”
The dorm was small after all, and the air conditioning was difficult to adjust. The young lady probably didn’t sleep comfortably.
“Very well.” Xiao Dengqu’s tone was cheerful. Shi Mingyue was surprised at the young lady’s adaptability. She then took out a bottle of moisturizing sunscreen and applied it to her, then took her out for breakfast.
Xiao Dengqu again held the collar behind her neck and sniffed it lightly. It was different from the scent in the bathroom. It was a unique smell.
After being exposed to the sun, the sour and sweet scent of fresh lemon made the cheap soap smell quite nice. How strange.
Shi Mingyue had been at this school for three years, but she was always busy with part-time jobs and had no time to look around. She didn’t know much about the different departments and colleges. She directly asked Xiao Dengqu where she wanted to see. Xiao Dengqu fiddled with her phone and found several places: the library, the clock tower, and her department.
It was hot, so it was best to finish the tour by ten in the morning.
It was too late to book a reservation for the library, so Shi Mingyue took her to the clock tower first, carrying her bag. Her phone rang. Cheng Jin asked her if she was busy today. Shi Mingyue was thinking about how to reply.
Xiao Dengqu’s gaze came over, and she said thoughtfully, “If you’re very busy and exploring aerodynamics with Cheng Jin is more important than me, you don’t have to worry about me. It’s okay.”
Shi Mingyue’s finger hit the dialogue box. She typed “I’m busy and don’t have time,” sent it, and then went back. “I’ll still take you to explore the school first.”
Xiao Dengqu glanced at her phone many times. Shi Mingyue had a contact named “Star” pinned at the top, but she was not.
After touring for a morning, Xiao Dengqu was not in high spirits.
At noon, Shi Mingyue took her to the best cafeteria in the school to eat. They got their food and went to the third floor. Just as they sat down, a guy sat next to Shi Mingyue. He had dark skin, a crew cut, and muscular arms. He looked like he was on the school’s basketball team.
“Senior.”
He was a year younger than Shi Mingyue and said, “You have to come watch the game on Saturday.”
The guy sat next to Shi Mingyue. When he looked up and saw Xiao Dengqu, he was a little surprised. Xiao Dengqu kept looking at him. She looked cute and very well-behaved. Her eyes blinked playfully, and a smile was on her lips. It was hard to tell if she was interested in him or if she was teasing him about his ambiguous relationship with Shi Mingyue.
The guy was so embarrassed that he said, “Senior, is this your sister?”
Shi Mingyue usually didn’t talk to them. Afraid that the guy would harass Xiao Dengqu, she was about to take her away. Xiao Dengqu said in a low voice, “Teacher, university is amazing. Even gorillas can come here to study.”
Shi Mingyue’s cold face twitched slightly, and a smile appeared. The guy’s face was extremely ugly, and he was almost about to swear.
After eating, they went back to the dorm. Shi Mingyue bought two ice creams and a cold AD calcium milk from the small store at the dorm entrance. She unwrapped one and handed it to Xiao Dengqu. Xiao Dengqu sat in her chair and ate.
The plastic bag on the table was full of snacks. After Xiao Dengqu climbed up to the bed, Shi Mingyue put the bag in the storage rack by the bed.
In the evening, they went out again. Xiao Dengqu was still curious about everything and wandered around aimlessly. After crossing the artificial lake, the environment became quieter. Shi Mingyue was about to introduce to her that this was where the faculty lived and that her cousin also lived here.
Suddenly, Xiao Dengqu hugged her from behind. Shi Mingyue was startled and tried to move away, but Xiao Dengqu said softly, “Teacher, teacher, I have a leg cramp. Help me.”
Shi Mingyue quickly turned sideways, not knowing where to put her hands. Xiao Dengqu immediately linked arms with her. Xiao Dengqu’s nose twitched. “Teacher, am I going to be disabled? I feel so strange, so strange.”
“No, you won’t. Find a place to sit down, and I’ll take a look.”
The young lady was delicate after all. Xiao Dengqu leaned against her again. Shi Mingyue quickly reached out and put her arm around her waist, comforting her and saying it was okay.
Xiao Dengqu grumbled, “Actually, it’s been like this since I woke up… I’m sorry, teacher.”
“Why didn’t you say so earlier?” Shi Mingyue knew that the young lady’s delicate skin couldn’t handle her hard bed. She had seen on a hot search that some rich people’s mattresses cost over a million yuan.
Xiao Dengqu leaned against her. “I was afraid you’d be embarrassed, teacher.”
Shi Mingyue’s heart softened. She took her to a nearby garden to rest.
From a distance, Cheng Jin and a friend watched the scene in front of them, their brows slightly furrowed. Her friend knew she was pursuing Shi Mingyue and asked, “That looks a little like Shi Mingyue. Who is that girl? They look very intimate.”
Cheng Jin really wanted to say: That might be my cousin.
Cheng Jin took out her phone and looked at the messages on the screen. Shi Mingyue had told her that she was very busy today. She tentatively clicked on the chat box for “light.”
Cheng Jin: “Xiao Qu, where are you?”
light: “At home.”
light: “Do you want to come to my house to play? Welcome, Cousin.”
Cheng Jin: “Are you really at home?”
light: (^_^)
Cheng Jin gripped her phone tightly. She couldn’t tell if she was seeing things or if Xiao Dengqu was lying. The feeling was like catching a cheating partner. That emoji made her scalp tingle, and she felt very upset.
She thought, I must be seeing things. When could Shi Mingyue be this intimate with anyone?
Xiao Dengqu was playing with her phone, her eyes full of smiles. Shi Mingyue was half-crouching and massaging her leg. Shi Mingyue’s body constitution was on the colder side, and the heat in her palms was not high, which felt just right on her leg. She asked her, “How is it? Is it better?”
Xiao Dengqu: “I asked Cousin to come to my house for dinner tomorrow.”
“Did she agree?”
Xiao Dengqu’s lips curved down sadly. “She didn’t reply to my message. She’s not willing to make up with me.”
Although Cheng Jin always said that Xiao Dengqu was not normal, Shi Mingyue also occasionally felt that her actions were strange. But in a sense, Xiao Dengqu had a bit of a people-pleasing personality. She knew that Cheng Jin didn’t like her, but she kept trying to get close to her.
Shi Mingyue wanted to say something, but Xiao Dengqu suddenly leaned in close, almost touching her nose. She said, “Teacher, you’re so pretty.” Shi Mingyue slightly looked away, took her hand off her calf, and then hesitated to speak. She didn’t have the right to educate Xiao Dengqu about this. Shi Mingyue sat next to Xiao Dengqu. She took a bottle of water and some crackers from her bag and handed them to her.
What she didn’t know was that Xiao Dengqu had an extremely vengeful personality. She was deliberately letting Cheng Jin see them, deliberately tormenting Cheng Jin.
Because of Xiao Dengqu’s leg pain, Shi Mingyue ended the school tour early and explained the situation to Steward Xiao.
Steward Xiao said that Xiao Dengqu could continue tomorrow after resting well. Shi Mingyue refused.
Xiao Dengqu pursed her lips, seeming a little unhappy. Shi Mingyue said, “Then I’ll come to your house tomorrow to play with you?”
Xiao Dengqu nodded and said okay.
She was quite easy to appease.
The steward came to pick up Xiao Dengqu in the evening and brought a gift box, saying it was a gift for her, thanking her for showing Xiao Dengqu around the school.
Four thousand yuan for one day. Because of the hot weather, Shi Mingyue had only shown her around two nearby departments, the school’s unique features, and they couldn’t even get into the library. They didn’t even cover half of the school. The money felt like it was burning a hole in her hand. Shi Mingyue refused, but Steward Xiao said it was just a small gift and added, “You can continue next time. The summer vacation is very long.”
Steward Xiao also said she would reimburse her for the meal. This time, Shi Mingyue refused no matter what. Her gaze fell on Xiao Dengqu in the back seat. She leaned slightly and waved to Xiao Dengqu, saying to her, “Then let me treat Xiao Qu to the meal, okay?”
These words seemed to please the person in the car. Xiao Dengqu’s eyes curved into a crescent moon. There was a bag of snacks on the empty seat next to her. She said politely, “Thank you, teacher.”
The black Bentley drove away. Shi Mingyue let out a heavy sigh. As she walked toward the dorm building, she unwrapped the gift and was stunned this time. It was a handbag.
Shi Mingyue didn’t know much about handbags, but she knew they were very expensive. When she saw the “H” on it, she understood. It was indeed a Hermès.
Shi Mingyue sent a message to the steward: “This is too expensive. I can’t accept it.”
Steward Xiao: “You can.”
Shi Mingyue was about to type when she frowned slightly: “Aren’t you driving?”
Steward Xiao: “Waiting for a green light.”
Shi Mingyue: “This is too valuable. I really can’t accept it.”
Steward Xiao: “You’re worth it.”
Shi Mingyue held the bag and walked back to the dorm. If someone with bad intentions found out, she might lose her scholarship. But on closer inspection, the price of this bag, if she sold it later, was more than the scholarship.
She used the Taobao image recognition feature. It was a Hermès Grail Blue, priced at twenty-seven thousand yuan.
Shi Mingyue looked at the message again, remembering Steward Xiao with her silver-rimmed glasses, always mature and steady. She inexplicably found her a little charming.
Shi Mingyue held her phone and pondered for a long time, then started packing her things. She had so few things that her backpack wasn’t even full. She packed her professional textbooks and finally pulled out those few high school biology textbooks to put inside.
It rained the next morning. Shi Mingyue left the dorm but then turned back to get an umbrella. She took the subway by herself.
When she arrived at the Xiao family’s house, the rain was getting heavier. Raindrops were pattering on the black umbrella. She tilted her head, holding the umbrella handle with her neck, and was about to open the door when the large iron gate slowly opened for her.
Xiao Dengqu’s voice came through the intercom. “Teacher, welcome to my home.”
In the rain, the large iron gate slowly closed behind her. A maid came out to greet Shi Mingyue, took the things from her hand, and said respectfully, “Please go to the front hall for your meal.”
At this moment, Xiao Dengqu was sitting in the dining room. She was wearing a black dress with white lace at the edges. Her arms were on the table. Several maids were standing next to her. The moment Shi Mingyue walked in, she tilted her head and smiled lightly at Shi Mingyue, looking as if she were waiting for a noble and important person.
Shi Mingyue handed the signed contract to the steward. Steward Xiao told her a few things to note, looked down at the watch on her wrist, and said, “You can have your meal now.”
The female steward was wearing a well-tailored, fluid-lined uniform. Her long, black hair was neatly tied back, without a single strand out of place, exuding an undeniable sense of competence and efficiency.
Xiao Dengqu patted the empty seat next to her, inviting her. “Sit here.”
Shi Mingyue moved to sit next to her.
The maids began to serve the dishes. During the meal, Xiao Dengqu poured her tea, put food in her bowl, and placed all the delicious food next to her hand. “Teacher, eat more. Don’t be shy.”
Xiao Dengqu put a shrimp in her bowl for her. She was very enthusiastic and attentive. She then said, “Teacher, I specifically reviewed trigonometric functions yesterday. It turns out that these functions use angles as independent variables, and the dependent variables are the coordinates of the intersection of the terminal side of an arbitrary angle and the unit circle, or their ratio…”
“Correct.” Shi Mingyue was quite pleased.
Xiao Dengqu then said, “Let’s watch a movie first.”
In fact, Shi Mingyue wanted to ask where her room was so she could put her backpack and laptop down. But Shi Mingyue also felt bad about what happened. The day before yesterday, she had made her wait at the library for so long while she went to see a movie. Yesterday, she accepted the money and the bag but didn’t show her around well.
Shi Mingyue said it was okay and let her plan it.
Shi Mingyue didn’t have to help with the table. The people here were exceptionally polite and courteous to her. Xiao Dengqu took her directly to the screening room on the third floor.
The Xiao family’s screening room was more comfortable than the VIP screening room with sofa seats that Cheng Jin had specifically chosen that day. The housemaids thoughtfully prepared juice, popcorn, and some other small snacks for them.
The lights dimmed, and the two of them lay back to watch. It was a foreign film. She didn’t know the plot or the title.
Perhaps because it was in the morning and it was all in its original language without any translation, Shi Mingyue found it hard to get into the film.
Shi Mingyue asked Xiao Dengqu, “Where did you find this movie? Can you understand it? Do you need a translation?”
Xiao Dengqu was watching the film intently. She said, “The steward gave it to me. I don’t really understand it.”
Shi Mingyue guessed that the steward had specifically put on an educational film to improve Xiao Dengqu’s English grades. She watched carefully, but as she watched, things started to go sideways. It seemed to be a love story, and the two women’s lips were almost touching.
What?
Shi Mingyue froze for a moment, then stared at the screen.
As the two women kissed, a hand slid to the hem of the dress. In a domestic film, this part would have been completely deleted, but in this one, a hand was able to go inside the hem and unbutton a blouse.
Is this steward…
After ten minutes, a line of dialogue finally came in the film. The little blonde beauty pressed down on the other woman. “Please, please open your legs and let me kiss you deep… I love you, teacher…”
At that moment, Xiao Dengqu leaned in and whispered in her ear, “Hmm, teacher, is she also a teacher? What does she mean? Can you translate for me, teacher?”
