Being a Tutor to a Rich, Psychopathic Young Lady - Chapter 7
Chapter 7
Xiao Dengqu’s finger lingered on the corner of her lips, kneading it repeatedly. She was seriously studying the corner of Shi Mingyue’s lips, trying to explore it with her finger. When Shi Mingyue turned her head, the finger just gently slid past the corner of her lips. Xiao Dengqu would look up at Shi Mingyue, observing her reactions and movements, capturing every subtle expression. It was as if she was studying how to make a mark… or more like a curious game.
Shi Mingyue found another reason. Xiao Dengqu only scored 22 points and had no right to ask her for a reward.
Just as she was about to speak, Xiao Dengqu suddenly withdrew her hand, humming lightly, “No more kissing.”
The action was so sudden that Shi Mingyue didn’t even react. Her tense body immediately relaxed, and her back gently hit the wall.
Shi Mingyue was full of doubt, not understanding why Xiao Dengqu had built up so much only to suddenly give up. But she didn’t have the courage to ask, afraid that Xiao Dengqu would be fickle.
Xiao Dengqu got up from the tatami mat and said, “If you don’t want to kiss, teacher, then don’t.”
The words sounded unusually thoughtful.
But the corner of her lips that had been touched still had a lingering sensation. The actions just now were no different from a kiss.
“Teacher, you should say, ‘Xiao Qu is so well-behaved.'”
In fact, Shi Mingyue didn’t want to say anything more to her. “Mmm, Xiao Qu, you’re so well-behaved.”
About ten minutes later, the female steward appeared at the door.
The female steward was holding a contract in her hand. Shi Mingyue immediately got off the bed and voluntarily walked out of the room to put some distance between her and Xiao Dengqu. The female steward said, “This is the live-in contract. You have two months for summer vacation, right? It’s already mid-July, so let’s sign for one month first.”
“Okay.” Shi Mingyue took the contract. Her heart felt like it was being pricked by needles. “Can I take it back to sign?”
The female steward said yes and accompanied her downstairs, seemingly deliberately avoiding Xiao Dengqu, lowering her voice to explain things to her.
She hoped that after Shi Mingyue moved in, she would prioritize Xiao Dengqu’s studies and be strict with her, encouraging her to learn more things. She also mentioned that Xiao Dengqu’s father placed great importance on her grades.
Shi Mingyue was so dazed that she didn’t hear much, but she kept agreeing.
The female steward said, “I’ll have a car send you back.”
“No need.” Shi Mingyue instinctively refused. “I have plans with a classmate today. I’ll trouble you with the contract later.”
The female steward didn’t insist. She just told her to move in in three days and to pack her essentials; they would provide the rest.
Shi Mingyue left the villa with the contract.
The weather was hot. She didn’t bring an umbrella or a sun hat, and soon she was sweating profusely. After arriving at the subway station, she stood inside for three minutes to get some relief from the heat.
Back at her dorm, Shi Mingyue first took a shower. She might have had a little heatstroke because she had a terrible headache and tossed and turned on her bed. The heart-pounding scene from today lingered in her mind. She didn’t even dare to touch the corner of her lips. Compared to last time, this was not just annoyance… it was a strange situation that she couldn’t handle.
Shi Mingyue had seen too many eyes filled with desire. Everyone who pursued her had a very naked look in their eyes. They wanted to possess her, to pluck her from her barren land. Cheng Jin was no exception.
Today, Xiao Dengqu could have had it, but then she suddenly gave up, as if she was just curious… Her behavior was very bizarre.
In the evening, her roommate came back from outside and asked if she wanted an apple. Shi Mingyue refused and then realized she hadn’t eaten yet. So she got up and went to the cafeteria to buy food. When she paid, the female steward transferred today’s salary to her—a total of two thousand yuan.
Shi Mingyue did a quick calculation: She started tutoring at seven and left the Xiao family’s house at twelve. The teaching time in between was a full three hours. The female steward had paid her according to the standard of five hundred yuan per hour.
At this rate, one month’s salary…
She could even change her plain noodles to the more expensive chicken broth noodles.
There were only a few large fans whirring in the cafeteria, and the heat didn’t dissipate much. Her clothes were soaked with sweat, making her feel sticky. If it weren’t for the extra one yuan for the noodles, she might not have been able to eat more than a few bites.
At night, Cheng Jin sent her a message, but she didn’t reply. She opened Xiao Dengqu’s chat interface and clicked on her Moments. There were no new updates, just a screen full of emojis.
Shi Mingyue carefully read the contract a few times. The salary section was very generous, with a guaranteed salary of forty thousand yuan.
The terms were relatively simple: accompany her for a few hours every day. The three main subjects had to reach a score of at least 60 points, and there were bonuses for improvement. The contract also included Xiao Dengqu’s high school transcripts from all three years. After reading them, Shi Mingyue realized that this money wasn’t so easy to earn.
As the female steward had said, for Xiao Dengqu to score 52 points, she was almost a genius.
Shi Mingyue’s mind kept replaying the scene from today. She squeezed the contract tightly with her fingers. That… was just a secret between her and Xiao Dengqu, right?
Just a secret in a dark room where nothing had happened.
…
The next day, Cheng Jin asked Shi Mingyue to go to the milk tea shop again. Shi Mingyue quickly got ready and arrived early, ordering a cup of milk tea for Cheng Jin.
Regarding not replying to Cheng Jin’s message yesterday, she explained that the data for her graduation project didn’t match up, and she was so engrossed that she forgot to reply.
Even though Shi Mingyue was usually slow to react, she now realized that Xiao Dengqu’s personality was indeed a little strange.
So she asked some questions about Xiao Dengqu in a roundabout way.
“She has pets?” Cheng Jin was quite shocked. “When she was little, she came to our place for vacation. My cousin had a dog. The dog was very fierce and was usually tied up. I don’t know what it did to offend her, but she went and knelt on the ground every day and argued with the dog for a whole week. A fierce dog was almost depressed from her yelling. My cousin went to confront her, and guess what? The next day, my cousin and the dog were locked in the dog cage together. After that, our family stopped having contact with her.”
Shi Mingyue was shocked to hear this. Xiao Dengqu really didn’t seem to like dogs. “Did she say why she was arguing with that dog?”
“She does things with no logic. My cousin’s family was furious at the time, and the two families had a big fight. Later, her dad took her for a check-up, and they said…” Cheng Jin pointed to her head. “No one dares to offend her anymore, and no one plays with her.”
Cheng Jin faintly recalled that summer. The sky was full of stars, fireflies would occasionally appear in the grass, and every so often, a dog would bark. While everyone was sound asleep, her cousin and her Rottweiler were tied up in the doghouse. Xiao Dengqu knelt on the ground, her eyes wide, a low, powerful growl coming from her throat. No one would have expected that the provocative barking that night came from her.
When Xiao’s father came to pick her up, she held her dad’s hand and said excitedly, “Dad, do you know? This is so much fun.”
Cheng Jin asked with concern, “Did something happen?”
“Huh?”
“Before, when I told you, you didn’t seem to believe me and would make excuses for her. Why are you asking on your own today?” Cheng Jin was quite perceptive. “Did she bully you?”
Shi Mingyue shook her head, feeling a headache coming on. “No, I’m just curious. It’s just… after spending more time with her, I feel like I understand her a little, so I got curious. Is she really like that…?”
Cheng Jin didn’t continue. She said, “Let’s eat some bullfrog later. I bought a group coupon on TikTok, and my roommates are all on vacation. It’ll go to waste if we don’t eat it.”
She opened TikTok to show Shi Mingyue. Today was the last day.
Shi Mingyue agreed. “Okay, I’ll go back and tie my hair up.”
She had washed her hair before meeting Cheng Jin. In the summer heat, it dried in a few minutes, but now it was sticking to her neck and felt hot.
The two of them left the milk tea shop. Cheng Jin was waiting for her in the small wooded area in front of the dorm.
Shi Mingyue said, “Stand under the trees.”
Cheng Jin took a few steps back and stood in the mottled shade of a camphor tree, a gentle smile on her lips. Shi Mingyue quickened her pace toward the dorm building. She gently ran her hand through her soft, long hair.
Back at the dorm, Shi Mingyue took a hair clip from a storage box and simply put her hair up. She then remembered the story of Xiao Dengqu barking like a dog. She was wearing a short-sleeved shirt and jeans, which made her look cool and showed off her slender figure.
Shi Mingyue was about to leave the dorm when her phone suddenly vibrated. She glanced at the screen and saw it was Xiao Dengqu. Seeing the name, her heart couldn’t help but pound.
Xiao Dengqu: “Teacher, I want to come to your school to play.”
Shi Mingyue naturally didn’t want Xiao Dengqu to come find her, especially since she was about to leave. She quickly replied: “I’m busy today.”
Xiao Dengqu: “I’m already here.”
Then, she sent a photo to Shi Mingyue: “To give you your laptop.”
Shi Mingyue’s laptop from yesterday hadn’t been used much, and she had forgotten to take it with her when she came back.
Xiao Dengqu: “Didn’t you have to do your graduation project?”
Then, a location was sent, showing that Xiao Dengqu was very close; she was at the back gate: “Which building is your dorm in?”
When Shi Mingyue walked out of the dorm again, she immediately noticed the pink luxury car at the dorm entrance. The car window slowly rolled down. Xiao Dengqu, holding a pink laptop bag, glanced at her. Her thick eyelashes half-covered her light-colored eyes. When she looked up, the dim light from the shade of the trees flashed in them, and her gloomy gaze was frightening.
Soon, Xiao Dengqu’s lips curved into a smile.
Shi Mingyue forced a smile at her. “Thank you for the trouble.”
“Where are you going?” Xiao Dengqu asked.
Shi Mingyue replied, “To get something to eat.”
Xiao Dengqu let out an “oh” and said, “I’m sorry, did I bother you?” She patted Shi Mingyue’s pink laptop bag, her face filled with an innocent smile. Her well-behaved demeanor was enough to make one overlook her previous meanness.
Shi Mingyue said, “You’re not bothering me. Thank you.” She hesitated whether to open the car door. After much deliberation, when she reached for the car door, Xiao Dengqu pushed it open from the inside. Shi Mingyue took two steps back. Xiao Dengqu got out of the car, holding her laptop bag, and said, “Okay, I’ll take a look at your dorm.”
“Huh?” Shi Mingyue was surprised.
“Hmm? Is that not allowed?” Xiao Dengqu asked.
“It’s allowed,” Shi Mingyue replied.
The first thing Shi Mingyue noticed was Xiao Dengqu’s arm. It was still covered with cartoon stickers. The top part had been cleaned up a lot, with the moon tattoo standing out.
Xiao Dengqu walked closely next to Shi Mingyue and asked softly, “Can’t you go to university if you have a tattoo?”
Shi Mingyue looked at her serious expression and held back a laugh, shaking her head and answering solemnly, “There’s no such rule.”
Xiao Dengqu let out a long sigh of relief. She seemed very interested, her eyes constantly looking at the dorm. Someone carrying a thermos bottle came out of the dorm building, and her gaze followed them into the hot water room.
Cheng Jin had said that Xiao Dengqu attended the best private school, a place that specialized in nurturing elites, yet her grades were terrible. To put it politely, she was a poor student. To put it bluntly, she seemed a little slow.
A-University was one of the top three universities in the capital, and it looked impressive from every angle.
Shi Mingyue took her laptop. “Let’s go in.”
Shi Mingyue took Xiao Dengqu to the elevator. Her dorm was on the third floor. She usually didn’t like to take the elevator because she didn’t like the feeling of weightlessness.
Before this, Shi Mingyue had thought that Xiao Dengqu would always stay in the villa, like Rapunzel in Grimm’s Fairy Tales, living in a tall tower, and poor Shi Mingyue would have to climb up the princess’s long hair, step by step, to see the princess’s true face.
Shi Mingyue pushed open the dorm room door. Her bed was right against the corner of the wall.
At this moment, Xiao Dengqu’s desire to explore was at its peak. She had to look at everything.
The desk was well-organized. A fountain pen was holding down a signed contract. A row of her professional textbooks was neatly arranged on top, with a few high school biology and math textbooks wedged at the end of the stack.
“Can I touch them, teacher?”
After Shi Mingyue nodded, Xiao Dengqu’s fingers lightly tapped on the books. The curve of her lips was full of joy.
There was also a small storage box on the desk, containing Shi Mingyue’s hair ties, a few sticky notes, and a few cute stuffed toy dogs.
Xiao Dengqu picked up one of the toy dogs. Shi Mingyue put her laptop on the table, occasionally glancing at Xiao Dengqu, afraid that she would ask something.
Xiao Dengqu just looked at it, put it back, and then looked up at the bed. The bed was a little messy; Shi Mingyue hadn’t tidied it up because she had planned to take a nap.
Xiao Dengqu pointed at the bed and said, “I want to go up and see.”
Shi Mingyue deliberately pretended not to hear, but Xiao Dengqu insisted, “I can take a shower first before I go up.”
“It’s fine, you can just go up,” Shi Mingyue replied.
The two of them were standing very close. Shi Mingyue could clearly smell the scent coming from Xiao Dengqu, a mixture of milk and a faint floral scent. It was a very unique smell.
Xiao Dengqu still went to the small balcony next to them to wash her hands and rinse her feet. Then she grabbed the frame and carefully climbed onto the bed. Shi Mingyue tried hard to suppress the urge to reach out and help her.
Xiao Dengqu sat on the bed, looking down at Shi Mingyue. Her light-colored eyes, deprived of light, became as deep as obsidian. The two of them were at different heights. Xiao Dengqu looked like a high-and-mighty judge.
“Where did you get the dog keychains from?” Xiao Dengqu asked her.
Shi Mingyue was poor. She wouldn’t buy useless and expensive little keychains on her own. She said, “My sister gave them to me for my birthday.”
“Oh, then when is your birthday, teacher?” Xiao Dengqu pressed.
“August 30th,” Shi Mingyue said.
That day was the rarest full moon in history.
“Oh,” Xiao Dengqu nodded, clearly having remembered the date.
She looked at Shi Mingyue again, waiting for her to continue, but Shi Mingyue didn’t say anything more. Xiao Dengqu turned to the side and touched the small blanket on Shi Mingyue’s bed. “Teacher, can I sleep here?”
Shi Mingyue said, “Isn’t your family’s driver still waiting for you outside?”
Xiao Dengqu’s fingers lightly caressed the small blanket, her eyes unblinking. She turned to look at Shi Mingyue again. Shi Mingyue deliberately avoided her gaze, feeling that Xiao Dengqu might ask, “Then can I sleep here tonight?”
But what Xiao Dengqu said was, “Teacher, I think you’re a little annoying…”
Shi Mingyue’s heart skipped a beat. Then Xiao Dengqu slowly finished her sentence, “…to me.”
Shi Mingyue couldn’t even catch her breath. She looked up at Xiao Dengqu. The dorm had a low ceiling, so a person could only barely sit up. Xiao Dengqu was not short, and she sat there with a pout, looking as if she was suffering from some grievance.
Shi Mingyue said helplessly, “I don’t find you annoying. Come down. It must be uncomfortable sitting up there.”
Xiao Dengqu was still staring at her. The teacher’s mouth kept chattering away.
Xiao Dengqu slowly climbed down the frame, her feet landing on her wet flip-flops. Shi Mingyue took a tissue to wipe her shoes for her. When she looked up, Xiao Dengqu’s arm was on her shoulder, and she had a smile on her lips. “Teacher…”
Shi Mingyue’s body stiffened. Xiao Dengqu said, “Where are the perfume and lipstick I gave you? Why isn’t my stuff on your desk? Did you throw them away?”
“I put them away,” Shi Mingyue said, turning her head and grabbing the tissue to avoid her gaze, making up a random excuse to escape her. “I’m going to the bathroom.”
Xiao Dengqu whispered, “I want to kiss you here.”
Shi Mingyue’s heart jumped to her throat. “No…”
“Why not? It’s not okay at my house, and it’s not okay here. Then where is it okay?” Xiao Dengqu grumbled unhappily. Her words made it sound as if she had conceded a lot and was extremely wronged.
“It’s just… it’s just not okay…”
“Then kissing at my house would be the same. Teacher, you also look super pretty in a shirt.” Xiao Dengqu leaned forward. Her finger on her neck gently tapped, as if playing the piano. When it was heavy, it was like a wave. Her attitude was nonchalant, but it was full of pressure.
“I’ve done a lot of research, you know.”
“And it’s all the teacher’s fault. I didn’t want to kiss you; I just wanted to sleep. The teacher won’t let me sleep.”
If she had to choose between the two… Shi Mingyue closed her eyes firmly.
Xiao Dengqu extended her tongue and licked the corner of her lips, which was wet and itchy. She said she would only kiss the corner of her lips, but her tongue had a tendency to explore it, moving her lips over and over again.
That spot of skin was very itchy and numb. Shi Mingyue wanted to scratch it badly, but she clenched her fists. She pressed her lips together tightly. Xiao Dengqu wanted to taste what was inside even more. She had already touched the door of desire and was now desperate and impatient. She liked the softness more and more and always wanted more. She wanted to kiss her until her lips were very wet and the teacher also cooperated with her.
Shi Mingyue reached her limit and pushed her away, turning her face to stop Xiao Dengqu from getting closer. Her throat unconsciously swallowed, as if she had swallowed an expensive milk. Shi Mingyue instinctively used her hand to wipe the corner of her lips.
Xiao Dengqu stared at her and said, “Teacher, listen. Someone’s here.”
Shi Mingyue instantly tensed up. A breath was stuck in her throat, not knowing whether to exhale or swallow it. The itchiness at the corner of her lips could not be completely wiped away.
A knock on the door sounded, ringing in Shi Mingyue’s ears. Xiao Dengqu’s pink, cat-like tongue licked the corner of her lips, silently saying: Sweet.
She looked over Shi Mingyue’s shoulder and asked softly, “Who is it at this time?”
Shi Mingyue had no idea. Her mind was a mess. Maybe it was her roommate; maybe it was Cheng Jin.
The warmth at the corner of her lips spread throughout her body. At that moment, her phone vibrated at an inopportune time. She ran to the balcony to take it out and check it.
Cheng Jin: “What’s wrong?”
Shi Mingyue looked at the time again. She had made Cheng Jin wait for forty minutes. She turned around and rubbed the corner of her lips with the back of her hand. Soon, the back of her hand was also inexplicably damp. She stuffed her phone back into her pocket, turned on the faucet to wash the back of her hand, and then wanted to wash her lips. She gritted her teeth, lowered her head, pretended to wash her face, and at the same time, took a mouthful of clear water, trying to wash away the faint sweet milk scent lingering on her lips and teeth.
Xiao Dengqu watched her, her head tilted. She didn’t wipe her lips or tidy up. Her lips were wet, shimmering with a strange and ambiguous gleam in the dim light, as if she were the one who had been kissed. She propped herself up on the table with both hands, nodding lightly. After getting what she wanted, she looked extremely content.
Sure enough, kissing here is the best. This way, the teacher would think of her even when she was in the dorm, in a place she wasn’t. But it would be best if the two of them could hug each other and kiss on the teacher’s bed.
That way… the teacher would have her in her dreams.
The teacher is so good to kiss.
If only I could go inside.
Shi Mingyue spit out the water from her mouth, listening to the person outside slowly say, “Teacher, that’s my first kiss.”
Shi Mingyue thought to herself: It doesn’t count.
A few minutes later, Cheng Jin saw Shi Mingyue in the dorm lobby. Cheng Jin smiled at her, but Shi Mingyue’s expression was flat and she didn’t seem very happy.
Then, a person slowly walked out from behind her. Xiao Dengqu raised an eyebrow at Cheng Jin, who was surprised.
Cheng Jin immediately looked at Shi Mingyue and asked what was going on.
Although she had checked herself in the mirror, Shi Mingyue still felt that the mark on her lips was too obvious, and when she faced Cheng Jin, she felt an inexplicable guilt.
And the light, fleeting kiss that Cheng Jin had left under the tree that day, which had troubled her for so long, was completely overshadowed by a more intense, deep, and tingling lick.
Shi Mingyue quietly looked away. Cheng Jin guessed that Xiao Dengqu had found her on her own. Just as she was about to say something, Xiao Dengqu greeted her first. “Cousin Cheng Jin.”
Cheng Jin nodded and asked, “What are you doing here?”
“I came to give my teacher her laptop. She left it at my place.”
Cheng Jin’s eyes drooped slightly. Just now, Shi Mingyue had told her that she didn’t reply to her messages because she was working on her graduation project…
Xiao Dengqu took a step forward. In a pleading tone, she said, “Cousin, are you two going to get something to eat? Can you take me with you?”
Cheng Jin definitely didn’t want to take her. She tried to refuse first. “Mingyue and I are going to talk about her graduation project. It might be a little boring.”
Xiao Dengqu said, “I’m going to study engineering in the future, too.”
Shi Mingyue glanced at her. She’s not going to be a doctor anymore?
Cheng Jin said, “Then… the food might not be to your liking.”
“I’m not picky; I’m very well-behaved,” Xiao Dengqu said, leaning toward Cheng Jin. “I promised you I’d take such good care of the teacher. Aren’t you going to treat me to a meal?”
Cheng Jin noticed that Shi Mingyue was looking at her in astonishment and could only calmly nod. Xiao Dengqu’s pink Porsche was still parked at the entrance. The driver respectfully opened the car door for them.
Cheng Jin got in first. Xiao Dengqu sat in the middle, and Shi Mingyue got in last, closing the car door. It was her first time riding in such a luxury car, and she nervously fastened her seat belt.
Xiao Dengqu said, “This is my first time going out to eat with people.” She seemed very excited and politely said to Cheng Jin, “Thank you, Cousin.”
After so many years, this was also the first time Cheng Jin had been in such close contact with Xiao Dengqu. She returned the politeness. “You’re welcome. If you want to eat out in the future, get to know more friends and go out with them more.”
Shi Mingyue didn’t say a word the whole time. Her hands were on her knees, and the warmth on the corner of her lips seemed to linger. Her head felt dizzy, and her body was sweating.
“Mmm,” Xiao Dengqu nodded. Suddenly, she raised her arm and nonchalantly brushed against Shi Mingyue’s arm. Shi Mingyue’s whole body became sensitive. Xiao Dengqu turned her body to look at Cheng Jin seriously and said, “Cousin, can you also give me one of the little dog keychains you gave the teacher? I really like them. They’re super cute. I love them so much.”
