Boss, Please Go Easy On Me (GL) - Chapter 10
Warm lips gently moved over Yan Xiaomi’s, and the tip of a tongue lightly explored, slipping into her mouth and tracing her lips. An Yao’s hands around her waist didn’t dare to wander, afraid of startling her, but suddenly bit her lip lightly. Yan Xiaomi felt an electric shock. All the pores on her body seemed to open up sensitively. A tingling sensation traveled from her brain down her spine, making her legs feel weak.
Yan Xiaomi felt her brain crash. She stood there, her mind blank. Wh-what was happening now? An Yao, An Yao was kissing her, and she was sober!
“Stunned?” An Yao released her, a slight curve to her lips seeing her dazed look.
“My intelligence is logging in, still, still not online.” Yan Xiaomi stood motionless, not even moving her eyes, her speech a little wooden. The warm sensation still seemed to linger on her lips, and the area around her waist where An Yao had held her was burning hot. Plus, her heart was thumping like a bungee jumper. Confused, she was truly confused.
An Yao watched her maintain the same dazed posture, motionless, and the smile on her face faded. She started to worry that the joke had gone too far.
“Scared you?”
An Yao gently touched her face, her brows slightly furrowed.
“Huh?” Yan Xiaomi suddenly snapped back to attention as if her soul had returned to its place, “What’s wrong?”
An Yao looked at her startled, jumpy reaction, not knowing whether to laugh or cry. How could this person be so amusing? But seeing her look, she seemed fine, and An Yao let out a sigh of relief.
“Get in the car.” An Yao opened the car door for her and waited for her to get in. Yan Xiaomi was flattered. She held the car door, closing it, “CEO An, I’ll do it myself.”
Then she opened the car door and sat in the back seat. An Yao glanced at her and exhaled slightly. It seemed she was indeed frightened.
Yan Xiaomi was distracted throughout the drive. Looking at An Yao’s calm and composed expression in the rear-view mirror, she couldn’t understand. How could CEO An be so calm after kissing her? Was it truly that insignificant?
Well, it wasn’t a big deal to her either. It was just a kiss; she didn’t lose any flesh or anything, but, but, why did her heart still feel like it was boiling?
“If you have something to say, just say it.” An Yao glanced at her in the rear-view mirror, noticing she was spacing out, seemingly pondering something, her brows slightly furrowed as if she couldn’t figure it out. An Yao felt it was likely about what just happened. If she really asked, how should she answer? An Yao’s eyes darkened slightly.
“CEO An, I actually…” Yan Xiaomi bit her fingernail, a little conflicted. Looking up and meeting An Yao’s inquiring gaze in the rear-view mirror, she suddenly leaned against the back of An Yao’s seat and muttered quietly, a little sheepishly, “I wasn’t trying to seduce you just now…”
An Yao was startled. The steering wheel in her hand moved, and the car swerved slightly. She quickly brought it back to her lane and exhaled deeply. She had been conflicted for so long, and that was the only sentence she could come up with. The crucial thing was that she was actually distracted by her. If she had crashed into another car and gotten into an accident, it wouldn’t just be her face she lost, but her life. Thinking of losing her life because of Yan Xiaomi’s nonsensical statement, An Yao found it somewhat amusing.
She really was defeated by her. An Yao glanced at her frightened, confused face, finding it a little funny, “It’s alright. Let’s say I seduced you.”
“Huh? Huh?!” Yan Xiaomi blinked her eyes. An Yao seduced her? An Yao said she seduced her! “No, why would you?”
An Yao had figured out that Yan Xiaomi liked to address her as ‘you’ (the formal ‘您’) whenever she was startled or jumpy, which was quite amusing.
“Did you think about why when you kissed me?” An Yao asked her back.
“Where did I have time to think?” Yan Xiaomi suddenly got agitated, “My brain twitched, and I kissed you, that’s all.” After saying it, she froze. Her brain really twitched again just now.
“Mhmm, what a coincidence.”
“Huh? What?” Yan Xiaomi leaned closer to ask.
“My brain just happened to twitch at that time too.” An Yao herself found this statement funny after saying it.
Yan Xiaomi stared at An Yao’s profile for a while, spacing out again. Why did CEO An look so good when she smiled? Speaking of which, CEO An was truly formidable. She could say these things without blushing, and with a straight face too. Unlike her. Yan Xiaomi touched her face. The air conditioner was on in the car, but she still felt terribly hot. She pressed her face against the window glass. Mmm, very cool.
An Yao glanced at her and lowered the temperature. Feeling the cold air rush in, Yan Xiaomi’s mood improved. She leaned back against the seat, closed her eyes, and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Arriving downstairs at her home, Yan Xiaomi got out of the car, clutching her new phone. She had meant to talk about the phone, but thinking of what had just happened, she felt she would be too verbose, and bringing it up again would make her seem pretentious. She smiled and waved at An Yao, “Thank you, CEO An. Good night.”
An Yao looked at her, still the same innocent, clumsy, and cute person. She nodded, “Good night. Sleep early. Don’t be late.”
Yan Xiaomi stood rooted, waving goodbye to An Yao. She only went upstairs after An Yao’s car disappeared. Recalling the day, it had been quite eventful: scared in the morning, scared in the afternoon, and then stimulated in the evening. Hehe, hehehehehehe. Yan Xiaomi was between tears and laughter. Life was truly too exciting.
As soon as she got out of the elevator, Yan Xiaomi quickly dashed back to her room, showered, and got into bed. She prayed thousands of times in her heart: Don’t have nightmares!
To prevent nightmares, she set the air conditioner very low and took out a thick blanket to cover herself. As a child, whenever she was afraid of having nightmares, she liked to wrap herself up tightly, which made her feel better.
After a while, she felt stuffy and had to stick her head out. Remembering she hadn’t charged her new phone or switched the SIM card, she got up, ran to the living room, brought them back, and started fiddling with them.
White. When Yan Xiaomi saw the white phone, she thought of An Yao. She seemed to really like white. Her office was white, her straws had to be white, her phone was white, and she had many white clothes, shoes, and pants. Even her wallet was white.
White. Yan Xiaomi suddenly remembered her aunt’s chocolate cake, the white chocolate cake…
Yan Xiaomi couldn’t quite put her finger on anything, but the shift in focus quickly made her sleepy. She inserted the SIM card, set the alarm, charged the phone, and then collapsed into bed and fell asleep. White. Why did she like white so much?
Did you think about why when you kissed me?
Yan Xiaomi suddenly remembered this sentence, and for some reason, her heart started beating rapidly. She tossed and turned in bed a few times before finally calming down.
Yan Xiaomi woke up very early the next day. She had had bizarre dreams all night, which were exhausting. She sat at her desk, terribly sleepy, her head feeling heavy, constantly drooping. Her eyelids were impossible to keep open. She propped up her head with one hand, dozing off, and didn’t even notice An Yao walking up to her.
“If you are so tired, go home and sleep.”
“Huh?” Hearing the familiar yet indifferent voice, Yan Xiaomi suddenly jolted awake. She stood up abruptly, her eyes still half-closed, just managed to utter “CEO An,” swayed, and then fell down.
“Ouch~” Yan Xiaomi was awakened by the fall. She frowned, sat up, and rubbed her elbow. Her head still felt very fuzzy. She shook her head, only to feel sleepiness washing over her again. She sat on the floor, rubbing her hands weakly, her eyes barely able to open.
A hand suddenly reached out in front of her, slender and long, very beautiful.
Yan Xiaomi dazedly placed her hand into it. She suddenly remembered last night’s dream. She was lost in a desolate place, and someone told her that her destined person would find her. Just as she realized the destined person reaching out to her was An Yao, she woke up with a start.
Just like now, Yan Xiaomi suddenly wanted to withdraw her hand, but An Yao held it tightly, “Why is your hand so hot?” Seeing her listless state, An Yao squatted down and touched her forehead. She sighed softly, feeling a little angry yet very speechless, “You have a fever. Didn’t you know?”
“Huh? Do I have a fever?” Yan Xiaomi, burning with fever and muddled, touched her forehead. She didn’t feel much; it all felt equally hot anyway.
An Yao saw her like this and lost her temper. She reached out and pulled her up, “Let’s go. To the hospital.”
