Li Mohan leaned closer to the mirror, noticing her lips were slightly swollen. One corner had a small crack, so tiny it was barely noticeable unless you looked closely.
She touched it with her fingertip, wincing at the sharp sting and numbness.
Even swallowing made her throat ache faintly.
Probably just heatiness.
Whenever she got overheated before, her lips would swell, her throat would hurt, and if she lacked vitamins, the corners of her mouth would crack.
It might also be related to the anti-inflammatory meds she was taking.
Having grown up rough and tumble, she didn’t think much of it.
Eat some fruit, and it’ll clear up in a couple of days.
She went back to brushing her teeth.
After freshening up, Li Mohan walked toward the living room, but her steps faltered when she saw Han Yezhen emerge from his study.
He wore only a dress shirt and slacks today, the crisp shirt unbuttoned at the collar, casually revealing his collarbone and the thick planes of his chest. A silver cross necklace glinted faintly at his neck.
The sleeves of his white shirt were rolled up twice, exposing a sleek, muscular forearm.
His usually meticulous black hair fell loosely over his brow, like clouds drifting in the morning light. The rare, relaxed look softened his usual stern demeanor, making him seem only a few years older than her.
It lessened the distance their age gap usually imposed.
The moment their eyes met, Li Mohan instinctively took a small step back, her long lashes fluttering as she softly murmured, “Uncle.”
Han Yezhen’s gaze flicked over her slightly swollen lips, his expression cool and unreadable.
“Have you put on any ointment?”
Li Mohan didn’t dare meet his eyes, nodding quickly. “Yeah, I did.”
Last night, before falling asleep, she’d been agonizing over how to face Han Yezhen.
She wanted to forget what happened in the elevator, just like she’d tried to forget waking up beside him that one time.
She kept telling herself it never happened, that she hadn’t run into Han Yezhen that night.
Even when memories crept in, she dismissed them as nightmares.
But forgetting wasn’t so easy.
That time, Han Yezhen had been drunk, the darkness hiding who she was. He probably didn’t even know it was her.
Aside from the day he brought her to the Han family and that vague comment in the elevator yesterday, he’d never said anything definitive.
But last night was different—both of them had been fully awake.
The rough intrusion of his tongue in her mouth, the scorching heat of his palm on her chest, the burning press of his bulge against her through his slacks—it was all still vivid.
Her heart was a mess.
Han Yezhen’s handsome face showed no trace of anger or joy, only a calm scrutiny as he watched her. He knew she was lying.
Last night, when he cleaned her up, he’d noticed she hadn’t applied any ointment. He’d done it for her before leaving.
This morning, during a video conference, while listening to reports, he’d checked the footage from her room’s camera.
Seeing the silly girl wake up, notice her dripping pvssy, and freeze on the bed in panic—it was endlessly amusing.
Watching her lift her nightgown, slowly slide down her panties, and shyly wipe her slick folds with a tissue, blushing all the while, had made his c0ck stir again.
Han Yezhen lowered his gaze to her. “Do you think I’m easy to fool? That I can’t do anything about you?”
His voice was calm but carried a chilling edge. Li Mohan’s face paled, a shiver running down her spine.
