Bro, Don't Study Anymore - Chapter 25
07/23
At the next city stop, they crashed at the hotel for a deep sleep.
Essential college student skills: skipping breakfast and lunch, sleeping until late afternoon.
Xiao Tang woke up, hair sticking up, sitting on the bed in a daze. Senior Song turned over, noticed no one was next to him, and patted the bed.
Mumbling, “Not sleeping anymore?”
“…Ah.” Xiao Tang yawned and slid back under the covers. Senior Song’s arm quickly wrapped around him, hugging him close.
The air conditioning was set low, so Senior Song pulled the blanket over him, his other arm resting on Xiao Tang, head buried in his neck.
Xiao Tang felt a tickle on his neck, slightly wet—Senior Song was biting his neck.
After leaving a red mark, they shared a kiss.
Xiao Tang sat on the sofa, scrolling through chat groups, while Senior Song lazily watched him.
Senior Song asked, “What time are we heading out tonight?”
“Leave at seven, explore the night market and grab a bite, then rest a bit and start climbing at ten thirty.”
Xiao Tang checked the weather forecast, “It says it’ll be cloudy tomorrow, not sure if we can see the sunrise…”
–
Senior Zhang and Senior Sister Zhao left earlier. She had rented a hanfu for a photo shoot, and he went along with her.
Naturally, Xiao Tang and Senior Song enjoyed their time together.
The night market was filled with various stalls, with the tourism bureau dividing the snacks and entertainment into two sections, east and west.
They started from the east section. Xiao Tang was already full, only holding half a cup of fruit tea.
He casually handed it to Senior Song, “Bro, I can’t finish this.”
The fruit tea was a large cup with ice, which had already melted, leaving water droplets on the cup. Xiao Tang’s hand was also wet from holding it.
Senior Song took it and handed Xiao Tang a tissue, “Wipe your hands.”
Xiao Tang tossed the crumpled tissue into the trash bin accurately and smiled at Senior Song, “Three points.”
“Mm,” Senior Song, holding his hand, finished the fruit tea in a few sips and mimicked Xiao Tang’s tone, “Three points.”
“Oh,” Xiao Tang pretended to be serious but couldn’t keep it up for more than two seconds before breaking into a grin, “My boyfriend is amazing.”
They walked hand in hand to the west section, where the stalls were lit up, selling either toys or handmade crafts.
Xiao Tang spotted a stall with ultra-light clay. The vendor was sitting at a table, sculpting clay, with a display of various flowers, plants, and animals in front of him.
He squeezed Senior Song’s fingers and directed his attention to the stall.
“Want to try this?” Senior Song leaned in, the noisy surroundings bringing him closer to Xiao Tang’s ear, noticing his ears turning red.
He playfully pinched his ear and chuckled, “Boyfriend, why are your ears red?”
Xiao Tang rolled his eyes at him, like you don’t know?
“…Oh,” Xiao Tang touched his own ear, “I’m shy.”
“Do you want to play or not!”
Senior Song held his hand, “How could I refuse you? Just saying, I’m clumsy, don’t laugh if it’s ugly.”
“I promise I won’t laugh. I’m a professional.”
They could buy pre-made works or bags of clay to sculpt themselves, with the vendor offering some technical support.
Xiao Tang first rolled the clay in his hands, preparing to make a rabbit. He kneaded the clay until it was a bit dry, then shaped the smaller parts and assembled them. After letting it dry for a while, it was done.
Just as he was about to show off his masterpiece to Senior Song, he saw the lump of clay in his hand and burst into laughter.
“Bro, you… hahaha!”
Senior Song had first shaped the body while the clay was still wet and heavy. When he set it aside, the weight of the head caused the body to lean to the right.
It looked comical, especially with Senior Song’s “tragic” expression.
Senior Song, helpless, presented the “ugly thing” to Xiao Tang, “Didn’t you say you wouldn’t laugh at me?”
“I’m a professional,” Xiao Tang’s laughter couldn’t be contained, “unless it’s really funny… hahaha, it’s fallen, Senior.”
The unbalanced panda in Senior Song’s hand toppled over to the right, fell off his hand, and landed face down on the table—
Xiao Tang picked it up.
The front was flattened too.
