- Chapter 20 - The Little Leopard's Only Omega Baby
The Alpha-Omega pair went up to the VIP seats on the second floor to bid farewell to Bai Yi before heading home.
Bai Yi, thoroughly fed up with their couple antics, waved them off with a sigh.
Before leaving, Bei Yin showed some concern for her friend: “How’s your gland holding up?”
At the mention of this, Bai Yi’s face twisted like a withered green melon: “Ugh, don’t even ask. Last night at the bar, I didn’t even realize my pheromones had saturated the entire place until someone pointed it out.”
He seethed inwardly—even at 70% concentration, not a single damn Alpha had been tempted to bite his neck.
“It’s unbearable, I swear. You’ve gotta work on that super-enhanced inhibitor ASAP. The last batch isn’t cutting it anymore.”
No exaggeration—his gland was so out of control that when his heat hit, he’d practically pounce on any Alpha in sight.
Before they could chat further, the loyal Alpha beside Bei Yin whined, “Sis is hungry, let’s go home.”
Bai Yi watched them leave with a knowing gaze.
His sharp eyes had long seen through this Alpha’s complicated nature.
At first glance, her aura, looks, and towering presence hit like an explosion—enough to make any Omega swoon and convince him she had something special.
But a second look revealed something sinister lurking beneath.
Even with that soft, well-behaved appearance, his instincts screamed she was anything but easygoing.
Still, if Bei Yin was into two-faced types, who was he to judge? He trusted the Chief’s taste.
Slumping onto the couch, he pulled out his wristband and sent Bei Yin a message too embarrassing to say out loud.
Unfortunately, her wristband had just died.
She’d barely glimpsed the words “Bei-jie, help me out” before the device beeped and turned into a useless hunk of metal.
Removing the chip, she borrowed Ruan Fei’s wristband instead.
Only then did she see the full message: Bei-jie, help! Your Alpha must be a high-ranking officer with plenty of Alpha soldiers under her. Have her kidnap one for me—just a temporary mark to stabilize my gland. Otherwise, I’m seriously gonna lose it!
“Pfft—” Bei Yin laughed, holding up the wristband for the pouting figure stealing glances beside her. “Well, Ruan-jie? What do you say?”
Ruan Fei smiled innocently. “Let him suffer~”
Bei Yin pinched her cheek. “Little jealous leopard.”
Bai Yi followed up: I know no Alpha likes me. Tell yours it’s just a temporary mark—I won’t do anything else. Preferably a female Alpha.
Ruan Fei turned her face away. “Hmph! Not helping.”
Bei Yin knew exactly how to handle this easily swayed little leopard.
No complex tactics needed—just three simple steps.
Step one: Hold her index finger and give it a playful shake.
Step two: Coo, “Good baby~”
Step three: Soften her gaze just right. “Bai Yi’s had it rough, and he’s helped me a lot. Won’t the kind-hearted Ruan-jie lend a hand?”
Ruan Fei kissed the tip of her finger. “Only for you, sis.”
“Good, good. Thanks.”
After replying to Bai Yi, Bei Yin went to remove the chip but accidentally noticed a message from Chen Chen: Boss, saw you with Dr. Bei. Heading back?
Ruan Fei had no interest in replying herself. “Sis, answer for me.”
Once Bei Yin finished, as she exited the holographic green screen, her eyes caught a contact labeled “Baby” on the main display.
She raised a brow. “Oh?”
Ruan Fei tapped the contact with a grin. “That’s you!”
Though she’d expected it, hearing it still sent a ripple of warmth through Bei Yin’s chest.
No other reason, just this: “Fu Cong keeps calling me those two words every day, and I feel physically sick whenever I see him. Change the nickname.”
The Alpha let out a disapproving “tsk.”
Yet within mere seconds, the urge to storm back into the ICU and give him another beating was completely extinguished by the long nickname Bei Yin proactively changed for her.
Ten characters in total—”The only baby Omega in the little leopard’s home.”
Every single word sounded sweet and looked beautiful, piercing straight into the depths of her heart.
Her morbid possessiveness was instantly satiated.
Licking her sharp little fangs contentedly, she wrapped her arms around that slender waist and effortlessly lifted Bei Yin up.
Holding her, she spun around on the lawn dotted with tiny night lights, her chest vibrating with deep laughter: “My only Omega, my Omega!”
The crescent moon hung high in the night sky, casting a faint silver glow that merged the two shadows on the lawn into one, stretching them long and thin.
Clearly visible was the galaxy-blue dress, its shimmering lights flickering like a rosebud blooming at tenfold speed under the moonlight, dancing and fluttering with each spin.
The girl wearing the floral dress wrapped her arms around the Alpha’s neck, her crowned head slightly bowed.
In the unclear shadow of her face, the corners of her lips seemed to curl into an indulgent smile.
The 22-year-old younger partner had terrifyingly boundless energy and stamina.
After dozens of spins, she wasn’t out of breath or flushed, completely addicted.
If Bei Yin hadn’t intervened with, “Alright, let’s go home and cook. Aren’t you hungry?”
She probably would’ve spun until the mountains crumbled and heaven and earth merged.
Ruanruan obediently set Bei Yin down, smoothing the hair tousled by their spinning. “Dizzy, sister?”
“Not at all.” Bei Yin picked up the white rosebud that had fallen to the ground.
Before she could say a word, the tall, long-legged Alpha proactively bent down, letting the white rose nestle behind her ear.
From too far away inside the car, Chen Chen couldn’t quite make out what they were doing.
All he saw were two small black dots moving around in the distance.
It took a long while before they finally started walking back.
When they got close enough for facial expressions to be visible, Chen Chen instantly petrified with a “snap,” completely losing his mind.
There, before him, was the cold, ruthless, and decisive Commander Ruan of District 1—now stripped of all the menacing ferocity that made Alphas tremble.
She looked as soft and adorable as the beautiful white cat the First Lady kept.
One arm tightly looped around Dr. Bei’s, while her free hand fanned her with a lace fan.
And that wasn’t all!!
As they walked, her head insistently nuzzled and pressed close!!
The smile on her face wasn’t one of the mocking, scornful, or sinister grins from her collector’s set, nor the deathly smile shrouded in darkness.
Instead, it was a pure, untainted, genuinely sweet and obedient smile, radiating from the heart!
Chen Chen’s scalp tingled, his entire body prickling with unease.
This was even more terrifying than her murderous grins, goddammit!!!
Just as he began suspecting whether the approaching commander was some shape-shifting alien imposter,
a familiar, brutal gaze suddenly crashed over him like a wave.
Chen Chen shuddered, quickly straightening up and desperately trying to wipe the horrified look off his face.
But even after Ruanruan opened the door for Bei Yin and they both settled into the back seat, the hovercar soaring onto the skyway, he still hadn’t recovered.
Instead, the commander’s behavior behind him drove him further into twisted despair.
She clung to Bei Yin’s shoulders relentlessly, nuzzling and rubbing against her lightly made-up face.
One moment cooing, “Snuggles~”
The next demanding, “Huggies…”
One moment she’d say, “I want a little flower on my forehead.”
Bei Yin played with the sapphire earring on her earlobe, granting almost every request.
The hovercar had three driving modes: manual steering wheel, automatic driving, and neural link for mind control.
Chen Chen, who chose the last mode, ended up banging his forehead “thud thud thud” against the window with his hands behind his head—no steering wheel to hold.
His chaotic mental state made the car swerve wildly, nearly colliding with nearby spaceships and hoverbikes.
Ruan Fei held Bei Yin while staring at him with a calm expression: “Chen Chen, if you can’t even drive properly now, I think you need six months of mining on Planet Q450 to temper your focus.”
