- Clingy! The Sickly but Beautiful and Strong Alpha Is a Loyal Puppy Who Needs Pampering
- Chapter28 - Mmm, My Wife
Ruan Fei raised an eyebrow meaningfully—she certainly didn’t think this was just an empty title.
The people of Aster were intelligent, passionate, and straightforward.
If they loved someone, it was for life. If they hated someone, it was also for life.
They never made promises lightly, but once given, they would never regret them.
Moreover, they revered their leader, and the planet’s name changed with each new ruler.
This meant that every resident of Aster would acknowledge the Second-in-Command’s status.
Tilting her head, Ruan Fei grinned. “So, my sister is this amazing? Can I cling to your coattails from now on?”
There were countless organizations and planets in the galaxy that manufactured weapons, but Aster ranked among the top hundred.
It was also the only planet in the universe capable of infinitely regenerating WH537, the hardest metal known.
Tens of thousands of planets were lining up to collaborate with them—the ultimate benefactors.
Four years ago, they had still looked down on Earthlings.
Bei Yin gave her a light smack on the shoulder. “Are you teasing me again?”
Back then, Earth’s technological level was mid-to-high tier in the galaxy.
Though they could produce mechas for defense or offense using robots and imitation methods,
the materials were so poor that a single energy blast would shatter them—even cannon-fodder robots were more useful.
Aircraft carriers, starships, and weapons also fell short compared to other civilizations because they lacked WH537, the strongest metal for construction.
But the metal was far too rare and precious—no amount of money could buy it.
This little leopard changed everything.
Four years ago, Bei Yin had overheard Bai Yi mention offhand that District 1 had a temporary commander—though he hadn’t named her at the time.
She had supposedly helped Aster resolve an issue, leading to a long-term partnership.
This officially ushered Earth into the WH537 metal-tech era.
Countless conceptual designs that had once been pipe dreams suddenly became reality.
Bai Yi speculated that she would be promoted to full commander within two years.
At the time, Bei Yin hadn’t been particularly interested and didn’t ask further, casually filing the information away in some dusty corner of her memory.
It wasn’t until recently that it resurfaced.
With WH537’s enhancement, Earth’s technology leaped to the upper echelons in just four years.
All these advancements were thanks to the little leopard commander.
Aster chattered on excitedly, even calling over her daughter to join in.
The little girl wore a dress Bei Yin had bought her, her bald head covered with a wig.
Asterians were long-lived, and though she hadn’t grown much in height, her fluency in Earth’s language had improved dramatically.
“Godmother, when are you taking me to Earth? Clothes! Clothes! The outfits here are so ugly!”
Bei Yin coaxed, “I’m busy these days. Be good, Xingxing—I’ll send you more dresses another time.”
The girl’s original name had been Big Hammer…
It was downright tragic, so after consulting with Aster and her husband, Bei Yin renamed her Haixing (Sea Star).
Only later did she learn that, according to their customs, renaming a child meant adopting her as a goddaughter.
“Hmph, you’ve said that so many times, always tricking Xingxing… Huh?” The little girl’s four eyes suddenly landed on the person beside Bei Yin. “Is that Godmother’s wife?”
Ruan Fei gazed at her eagerly. Bei Yin smiled and nodded. “Mmm, my wife. Xingxing, call her Godmother.”
Ruan Fei wrapped her arms around Bei Yin’s shoulders, burying her face in the crook of her neck, her sharp little fangs peeking out as she grinned uncontrollably.
The lively and cheerful Haixing immediately started calling her “Godmother” repeatedly, mostly begging her to take her to Earth for fun.
After their daughter finished speaking, Aster carried her away, his four eyes filled with suspicion. “This wife of yours who suddenly appeared… why does she look so familiar?”
Ruan Fei didn’t look up. “Oh, I just have a common face. All Blue Star people look like this.”
Aster: “…I may have many eyes, but I’m definitely not blind.”
Bei Yin changed the subject. “Sister A Rui mentioned last time that you wanted to collaborate with the Jiang family. I didn’t pay close attention.”
The Aster couple were both chatterboxes who loved talking to her whenever they had the chance. Their conversations ranged far and wide, lasting at least an hour each time, making it impossible to absorb everything they said.
“I’ve been collaborating with your advanced District 1 all along. Recently, someone named Jiang An from the slums of District 2 contacted one of our clan members through unknown channels, wanting to buy WH. Out of respect for your fellow Blue Star people, I agreed.” Aster patted his chest proudly. “Don’t worry, Blue Star people—whatever you want, we’ll sell!”
Bei Yin nodded with a smile first. “Thank you for your trust and care, all of you.”
“No need for thanks, no need!”
Bei Yin got straight to the point. “I have some conflicts with the Jiang family. Please don’t sell them any materials.”
Yesterday had been too hectic, and it was already late. Just because she hadn’t dealt with it immediately didn’t mean she would let it slide.
Four Eyes immediately flared up. “Conflict means fighting! Someone, gather the troops—let’s take down District 2!”
Ruan Fei revealed a hint of her dark eyes. “Does my wife need you to fight her battles?”
“She’s your wife, but she’s also my savior—the second-in-command of Aster Star! She can’t be bullied!”
“Hmph, go cool off somewhere else!”
“Stop arguing! Just don’t sell to them.”
Afraid the two hotheads might arrange a fight, Bei Yin quickly added a few more words. “Also, your sub-distributor’s sub-distributor has a weapons deal with Shen Yasi from District 6. Could you look into it and cut off the trade for me? Gotta go, gotta go.”
Ending the call, she pinched Ruanruan’s nose and teased with a laugh. “That mouth of yours—I’m truly impressed. You’d probably even argue with a robotic corgi.”
“Wah… wah…”
“Alright, alright, I won’t say anymore. Come here for kisses.”
She kissed her forehead, kissed her cheeks, kissed the corner of her lips, until the Alpha closed her eyes in satisfaction.
At 9:45, the Omega and Alpha headed to the Eighth Fleet’s medical bay.
On the way, Ruanruan asked why she had kept her identity hidden for so long. It was true—if Bei Yin had revealed it, she could have gotten anything she wanted. But at the same time, her relatively peaceful life would have been completely upended. Schemes, favors, jealousy, and kidnappings would have followed one after another. She didn’t want to drag her mother into it.
“Aster attracts too much attention. I didn’t want to invite trouble by flaunting my treasures,” Bei Yin replied, tugging at the Alpha clinging to her. “Has your district undergone its major inspection yet?”
“Not yet,” Ruanruan paused, then added, “It’s scheduled for October.”
Bei Yin raised an eyebrow in surprise. A miracle—this little leopard was actually volunteering information.
“How about we do it early?”
“Sure, sure!”
Truth be told, Bei Yin had ulterior motives. Her preliminary diagnosis suggested Ruanruan’s possessiveness toward her as an Omega exceeded normal levels—but she didn’t know by how much. She was dying to see, absolutely fascinated by the idea.
Soon, hundreds of Alphas began arriving one after another—including the seven from the Sixth Fleet who were on crutches after Ruan Fei had beaten them until they vomited bl00d.
