Cohabitation With The Maniacally Gorgeous CEO - Chapter 1
Chapter 1
After work, An Yiqing drove to Zizai Garden. After explaining her purpose to the security guard, they still refused to let her in.
High-end communities indeed have high security.
She took out her phone to call, when a female voice came from behind her: “Is that Miss An? Sorry, I was delayed by something.”
Yu Sirou spoke with the security guard, then drove An Yiqing into the villa area.
This area was adjacent to Zizai Lake, and a gentle breeze brought the sound of the water.
It was quiet despite being in a popular location.
Suitable for living.
Yu Sirou entered the password to open the door and invited her in.
The villa was large, and although it was spring and should have been lush green, there were hardly any plants in the yard.
After a few pleasantries, Yu Sirou led her inside to see the house.
In stark contrast to the yard, the interior was decorated with great care.
An Yiqing didn’t have high demands for living, but she was still affected by the atmosphere indoors.
Just inside the entrance was a life-sized poster.
Two fairies, their robes flowing, flew with unrestrained abandon.
They were characters from the game Qingdu Yao that her friend played.
As An Yiqing walked further in, she didn’t feel like she was indoors at all, but rather strolling through a photography exhibition.
Clear sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, illuminating the entire house.
Walls covered with photos came into view.
Exquisite frames held scenes of famous mountains and great rivers across China.
Four seasons—flowers blooming, fading, leaves falling, and snow flying—were simultaneously gathered in this living room.
Miss Yu should be someone who truly loves life, so how could she have ruined her stomach?
An Yiqing didn’t quite understand.
She didn’t get a closer look before Yu Sirou led her to visit the kitchen.
It was spacious and fully equipped.
An Yiqing looked at it a few more times.
This place was quite to her liking.
Yu Sirou asked timely, “Miss An, are you satisfied?”
“I really like it here,” An Yiqing nodded.
This was the first reaction of all the tenants, unfortunately, the longest stay only lasted two days.
This Miss An seemed very composed, could she break the record?
Yu Sirou offered tea, sat down in the balcony chair, and took out the contract.
An Yiqing opened it and read it carefully.
She sat upright, head bowed, her almond eyes focused on the text.
The speed was neither fast nor slow, giving Yu Sirou enough time to look her over from head to toe.
An Yiqing’s face was the popular ‘light-featured’ type of the moment, with delicate features and a cool temperament, very similar to the fairy in Qingdu Yao.
This appearance, wasn’t it exactly the type Xu Lingyin liked?
She heard from her cousin that An Yiqing’s cooking skills were excellent. She took some time to watch a few videos, and indeed, she seemed quite skilled.
If she could stay, Xu Lingyin’s stomach might be saved.
While Yu Sirou was analyzing, An Yiqing put down the contract and looked up.
“Miss An, please sign if there are no problems,” Yu Sirou smiled.
“Does Miss Yu’s tenancy have a probation period?”
An Yiqing’s pale index finger landed on the paper: Probation period of one week, if there is any dissatisfaction, early termination of the lease is possible…
Yu Sirou placed her hand on the contract, glanced at it symbolically, and quickly explained: “Since it’s two people sharing a living space, we need to consider if their personalities mesh, so let’s try living together for a week first. Renting is all about feeling comfortable, and if your personalities clash and cause conflict, it’s really unnecessary. Of course, if you have other thoughts, you can say them, and we can discuss them together.”
An Yiqing had no other thoughts, she just asked casually.
In her 22 years of life, she had never had a conflict with anyone.
Not even a heated argument.
With no more doubts, she picked up the pen and signed.
After completing the formalities, Yu Sirou gave her the password and welcomed her to move in anytime.
She even hoped An Yiqing would move in as soon as possible.
An Yiqing had plans on Saturday and decided to move on Sunday.
It was almost time for dinner, and Yu Sirou wanted to treat her, but An Yiqing politely declined.
She packed the contract, got back into her car, and sent a WeChat message to her friend.
The contract is signed, moving in the day after tomorrow.
Ye Qian’ge was probably busy, as she didn’t reply.
An Yiqing checked the surveillance video at her home entrance; her persistent admirers had withdrawn.
She started the engine and drove home.
An Yiqing taught at Qichuan Middle School. She was low-key, but unfortunately, she had a high-profile face.
When she first joined the school last year, she rejected many suitors.
She thought she would get a break in the new semester, but just half a month into the school year, several more waves came.
Some colleague must have found out her address and leaked it, causing some people to wait for her outside her house.
Quite lacking in discretion.
An Yiqing didn’t like to offend people, so she simply chose to avoid them.
Zizai Garden offered strong privacy; no matter how many admirers she had, they wouldn’t bother her there.
With no worries remaining, why should she care?
On Sunday, An Yiqing packed her belongings, ready to move.
Ye Qian’ge came to help.
There wasn’t much stuff, mainly shooting equipment and kitchen utensils, a few sets of everyday clothes, and about ten sets of dance attire.
The remaining odds and ends could all be moved in one car.
Returning to Zizai Garden, the security guard let her through immediately.
Yu Sirou must have notified them.
Ye Qian’ge smiled: “Next time I come to visit you, I’ll have to ask you to ‘bail me out’.”
“And your cousin,” An Yiqing smiled slightly.
“Oh, my cousin rarely stays here, don’t worry.” At this, Ye Qian’ge looked confused. “I don’t know why the previous twenty people all left. Did they find living alone too lonely?”
An Yiqing wasn’t afraid of living alone.
If anything, it was more convenient for her alone, as she needed to film videos.
With a roommate, if the other person didn’t like it, it would be difficult.
At the entrance, Ye Qian’ge got out of the car, intending to help move things, but received a phone call.
A colleague was injured and called her back to cover the shift.
Tour guides were indeed busy, sometimes unseen for long periods. An Yiqing was used to it and told her to hurry.
Opening the trunk, An Yiqing single-handedly lifted the box filled with equipment.
An outsider would seem superfluous.
Ye Qian’ge smiled, realizing she couldn’t help much by staying, and simply left.
An Yiqing waved her hand and continued with the move.
She had practiced sports since she was a child, and her strength was greater than that of the average person.
Carrying a few boxes was a piece of cake.
It was just a matter of time.
She gently placed her things at the door, entered the password, but before she could push it open, a few short honks sounded in her ears.
A Maybach had parked in front of her car without her noticing.
The headlights flashed a few times.
The frequency clearly showed that the owner was extremely agitated right now.
An Yiqing ignored the door and moved her car first.
Clearing the way, she found a random spot to park, got out of the car.
The Maybach drove forward two meters, parking exactly where she had been a moment ago.
Not one bit more, not one bit less.
An Yiqing couldn’t help but look sideways.
The car door opened, and a pair of black stiletto heels landed first.
A long, slender calf peeked out from under the car door.
A hand rested on the door, its bright red nails very eye-catching.
An Yiqing instinctively stopped.
Before she could see clearly, the owner emerged.
Wine-red curly hair cascaded freely down her back. The owner, finding it not flowing enough, casually gathered and tossed it back.
Her hair flew in the wind, vaguely revealing a beautiful jawline.
Her hand was still playing with a strand of hair, the dark color making her hand appear whiter, like unblemished snow from the past winter.
The red nails were like fiercely blooming plum blossoms.
A subtle fragrance floated.
In an instant, An Yiqing’s world exploded with fireworks, dazzling and gorgeous.
She heard her heart beating slowly, then rapidly accelerating, the sound deafening.
The wind from Zizai Lake blew gently, too weak to dissipate the heat swirling in her chest.
Perhaps sensing her direct gaze, the car owner walked over with a swaying gait.
The black skirt hem rippled in layers, outlining the shape of the wind.
An Yiqing’s heart drifted with it, rising and falling.
She was absent-minded, not like a normal person.
The dazzling face magnified before her, and a sharp scent of green tangerine assailed her nostrils. An Yiqing instantly sobered up and regained her senses.
Holding her things, she took two steps back, settling into a relatively polite position, and uttered a greeting: “Hello.”
The light tone perfectly concealed her earlier lapse.
The lady lifted her chin: “Tenant?”
She wondered which family’s young lady or which actress this was.
Overbearing and arrogant.
Yet, her voice was clear.
It struck her heart, so pleasant it was almost lethal.
An Yiqing, contrary to her usual self, felt inexplicably unsettled. She calmed herself, meeting the slightly intimidating gaze, neither subservient nor arrogant: “Yes.”
The lady turned to open the door, her tone unfriendly: “Go back where you came from, your kind is very annoying.”
An Yiqing didn’t move. The lady added a final barb: “Disappear from my doorstep immediately, don’t force me to swear.”
Beep.
The fingerprint lock engaged, and she strode in brazenly, slamming the door shut.
She showed no intention of letting An Yiqing inside.
That Miss Yu was probably helping this person find a roommate.
No wonder Ye Qian’ge said twenty people had fled.
It wasn’t unwarranted.
After all, just having a conversation with her would be a blow to most people.
Add to that her contemptuous look, as if looking at garbage.
The average person couldn’t tolerate it.
An Yiqing considered herself average, but fortunately, she was a little different—she didn’t care about many things.
No matter what the lady said, she didn’t feel humiliated at all.
She put down the boxes, took out her phone, and called Yu Sirou, briefly explaining the situation.
Yu Sirou reassured her: “It’s fine, Xu Lingyin just has that temper, there’s no malice, just go in.”
“Alright,” An Yiqing’s tone was so calm it seemed nothing had disturbed her.
Hanging up the phone, An Yiqing entered the password and opened the door very naturally.
Her room was on the right side upon entering.
She walked straight into the room without looking at the person sitting on the sofa with crossed legs.
She went in and out carrying boxes, completely ignoring the other person.
After moving all her things, she needed to park her car properly.
She hadn’t realized the situation earlier, and her parking might be blocking the way.
She walked towards the door, and Xu Lingyin became impatient: “I’ll give you an hour to move out.”
An Yiqing turned her head.
The person on the sofa was holding a can of alcohol, tilting her head back to drink, her willow-leaf eyebrows tightly furrowed, clearly disgusted by the current situation.
Connecting this to Yu Sirou’s attitude, it was hard for An Yiqing not to think of some kind of melodramatic plot.
Fortunately, she never gossiped, and the thought that popped up was immediately suppressed.
The contract was signed by Yu Sirou, so this Ms. Xu should find the right person to complain to.
Returning to her room, she took out the contract she had signed two days ago, handed it to Xu Lingyin: “Hello, this is the lease agreement. I currently have no intention of moving out.”
Xu Lingyin’s eyes swept over, razor sharp, as if she was about to smash the alcohol bottle at An Yiqing the next second.
Tightly watching the other person’s actions, An Yiqing did not dare to relax.
Clang.
The aluminum can hit the table.
Xu Lingyin took the contract, opened it, and quickly skimmed through it.
I was too quick to judge.
An Yiqing silently chastised herself, looking back at the person opposite her.
Her gaze paused somewhere for a moment, and a smile played on Xu Lingyin’s lips. She threw the contract onto the small round table and turned to say, “One week?”
