Cohabitation With The Maniacally Gorgeous CEO - Chapter 15
Chapter 15
An Yiqing drank the glass of wine and helped Xu Lingyin leave through the back entrance.
Leaving the lively atmosphere of the party behind, they arrived at the parking lot.
The designated driver An Yiqing had called for was already waiting.
Standing behind Xu Lingyin, An Yiqing helped her into the car.
As the person in front stepped with one foot, she suddenly turned and pushed An Yiqing, wanting to go back to the hotel to continue drinking.
The woman was thoroughly drunk, and only cared about her own enjoyment, regardless of other people’s thoughts.
An Yiqing didn’t mind the trouble, but she was worried that Xu Lingyin would end up back in the hospital vomiting.
Clutching her arm, An Yiqing gently pulled her towards the car.
“Miss Xu, let’s go home.”
“No home. You drink with me.”
Staggering forward, Xu Lingyin was absolutely determined not to go home.
This wouldn’t do.
An Yiqing moved in front of Xu Lingyin and said calmly, “Miss Xu, please excuse my presumption.”
She bent down and simply picked the person up.
Xu Lingyin was 170cm tall, but felt very light to carry.
An Yiqing easily got her into the car, placed her in the seat, and told the driver to hurry up and leave.
Perhaps the alcohol was taking effect, but after getting into the car, Xu Lingyin didn’t say a word.
Leaning against the backrest, she stared blankly at An Yiqing.
Her eyes blinked occasionally.
All of Xu Lingyin’s movements were in 0.5x speed, slow and dazed, like a child who didn’t understand the situation.
Her eyes were also confused.
There was a sense of pure, innocent charm about her.
An Yiqing met her gaze and didn’t feel uncomfortable at all.
Drunk Xu Lingyin was indeed quite different.
An Yiqing found herself absorbed in her fox-like eyes.
They quietly gazed at each other.
The car was extremely quiet.
An Yiqing and Xu Lingyin sat at opposite ends of the back seat.
Although seemingly far apart, An Yiqing could clearly smell the scent of green mandarin orange.
The temperature inside was high, making the green mandarin orange scent steamy and not harsh.
It felt like a post-rain shower hit by the sun—warm but not dry.
An Yiqing edged closer to the door.
It was still so strong; even her hair seemed to have absorbed the scent.
An Yiqing’s face flushed, and her ears felt uncomfortably hot.
She awkwardly raised her hands and pinched her ears.
Hoping to cool down a bit.
After covering them for a while, her ears didn’t cool down but grew even hotter.
A wave of moist, hot air wafted towards her ear and cheek.
An Yiqing turned her head, her heart pounding, and immediately tried to move to the side.
She was already pressed tight against the car door; there was no room to move.
They were stuck together, and she could hear their mutual breaths.
“Miss Xu, please sit properly,” An Yiqing politely reminded her.
Her body felt stiff, as if the person beside her wasn’t a human but a monstrous creature.
Drunk Xu Lingyin was still Xu Lingyin.
“Why should I listen to you?” she said.
An Yiqing held her breath, only managing to say, “It’s not about listening to me; it’s a request.”
Xu Lingyin’s gaze fell on An Yiqing’s delicate right earlobe, and she smiled sweetly, her face brimming with curiosity.
“Let me look at your earring, and I’ll move away.”
An Yiqing was stunned. She looked sideways: “I don’t have an earring.”
Those fox eyes instantly became animated. Her dark eyes turned to An Yiqing’s earlobe, containing tiny fragments of light.
She raised her right arm, and her fair, delicate fingers slipped into An Yiqing’s black hair, gently pushing it behind her ear.
The moment her hand touched her ear, An Yiqing jolted as if electrocuted, her spine vibrating, nearly causing her to stand up.
Realizing she was in the car, she stopped moving and grabbed the mischievous hand: “Miss Xu, you’re too close.”
Her voice was a little low, and her speech was very fast. Her eyes only lingered on Xu Lingyin for a second before immediately looking away.
“We’ll be home soon. Please sit properly,” she emphasized again.
Afraid Xu Lingyin would move around again, she held onto that hand and didn’t let go.
The car drove into Zizai Garden and quickly into the villa.
After the driver left, An Yiqing’s tense body relaxed.
She was grateful that Xu Lingyin hadn’t made any more excessive demands.
An Yiqing opened the car door and got out first. She then leaned down and extended her head to encourage the person inside to step out.
Xu Lingyin slowly raised both hands, staring at An Yiqing, completely still.
An Yiqing: ?
What did the young lady mean by this?
“Hurry up,” Xu Lingyin urged.
An Yiqing met the fox eyes, spent several tens of seconds interpreting, and her body tensed up again.
She felt like a drawn bow.
An Yiqing’s eyes were half-lowered, her thick eyelashes concealing her emotions. She spoke in a negotiating tone: “Miss Xu, why don’t you get out yourself? I’ll support you.”
“You come up here and look at your ear,” Xu Lingyin withdrew one hand, looking like she wanted to pull her back into the car.
An Yiqing quickly pressed down her hand, leaned in, and was forced to hug her.
In the narrow space, a phone rang.
An Yiqing grabbed the lifeline, quickly handing Xu Lingyin’s bag to her: “Miss Xu, your phone.”
“Take it out,” Xu Lingyin leaned back against the car.
Helping her retrieve the phone, An Yiqing, keeping the car door open, got out as if escaping, waiting nearby for her to finish the call.
After about a minute or two, Xu Lingyin’s drunken murmuring finally stopped. She no longer spoke nonsense and walked out of the car by herself.
An Yiqing kept her word, carrying Xu Lingyin’s belongings and helping her inside.
*
A ray of sunlight streamed in during the early morning, waking Xu Lingyin from her sleep.
The power of the hangover was too strong; even opening her eyes felt strenuous.
She raised her hand to rub her temples, taking a deep breath.
After rubbing for a few minutes, she finally felt better. Opening her eyelids, Xu Lingyin sat up.
A head of dark, glossy hair came into view, and she nearly jumped up.
Holding her breath, she observed carefully.
The sunlight shone through the French window, kissing the delicate earlobe.
That cinnabar mole was dazzlingly bright.
An Yiqing’s ear was truly beautiful.
As the thought arose, Xu Lingyin was already leaning forward, extending her hand.
She desperately wanted to touch that jewel-like cinnabar mole and find out what it felt like.
How could it be so lovely?
Suddenly, a strand of hair brushed against her fingertip.
Like a drop of water hitting a leaf.
She quickly pulled back her hand and sat up straight.
She stole a glance at An Yiqing and found that the woman was not awake at all.
She had only moved slightly.
Xu Lingyin patted her chest. It was then she noticed she was wearing pajamas.
She looked down to check her clothes, her gaze sharply turning towards An Yiqing.
A sharp shout was about to escape her lips, but the memories of last night flooded into her mind like a tide, successfully blocking the shout.
She struggled into the bathroom, wanting to take a shower.
Without taking off her clothes, she turned on the shower, soaking herself in ice-cold water.
The frigid water shocked her, making her scream from the cold.
The sound penetrated the bathroom door and reached the living room.
A knocking sound quickly followed, and a slightly anxious voice asked if she had fallen.
She was utterly cold, leaning against the wall in a state of disarray, collapsing onto the floor. Tears flowed relentlessly, just like the shower overhead.
It was raining heavily over her head, and gently over her eyes.
Her cries were sorrowful, sobbing incessantly.
An Yiqing said something, then rushed into the bathroom.
“Miss Xu, are you alright?” An Yiqing turned off the shower and quickly grabbed a bath towel, wrapping it around her.
“Miss Xu, please change out of your clothes.”
An Yiqing turned to leave, but Xu Lingyin instinctively grabbed her, squatting in the corner, crying and shaking her head.
An Yiqing turned on the heater and fetched the hairdryer: “Then let me dry your hair first.”
Kneeling down in front of her, An Yiqing took the hairdryer, held it above her head with both hands, and began to dry her hair.
The person in front of her was very gentle, carefully avoiding her ears so as not to cause discomfort.
Her apricot eyes were focused on Xu Lingyin’s hair.
When her hand ran through the hair, she was especially careful.
She didn’t pull her hair at all from start to finish.
After drying her hair, An Yiqing asked her to change into fresh pajamas and was about to leave.
Xu Lingyin forgot what she was thinking at the time, suddenly pounced on An Yiqing, and hugged her tightly.
A burning face interrupted her recollection. Xu Lingyin threw off the covers, got off the sofa, and without even putting on her shoes, quickly ran to the window and opened it.
Although the sun was out, the air was slightly cool, and she took a long, deep breath.
After a long, long time of cooling, the redness on her face slowly subsided.
Xu Lingyin pressed her palm to her cheek, then turned to look at An Yiqing.
This person was sitting on the floor, leaning against the sofa, having fallen asleep just like that.
As she watched, Xu Lingyin stared at her body.
So warm, so very warm.
A crazy thought once again surfaced recklessly.
