Cohabitation With The Maniacally Gorgeous CEO - Chapter 20
Chapter 20
There were five people in the living room, and it was eerily quiet.
The sound of Mo Zhi typing was particularly noticeable.
Subconsciously stopping her movements, she shifted her eyes, glancing out of the corner of her eye at the scene by the floor-to-ceiling window.
CEO Xu’s foot was in Miss An’s hand.
Lifting the foot, Miss An took a cotton swab, dipped it in some antiseptic, and gently applied it to the wound. Her movements were very soft.
Her gaze moving upwards, Mo Zhi was stunned.
CEO Xu was actually letting the person in front of her touch her.
Before, a collaborator came to the company, took advantage of the fact that CEO Xu was a woman, and extended a vulgar hand, touching her.
That collaborator’s hand was dislocated.
Another time, a woman was lusting after CEO Xu.
If she hadn’t run fast, her fingers would have been lost.
Miss An’s hand…
Mo Zhi pressed down on her computer, her eyes fixed on them.
CEO Xu slightly lowered her head, her line of sight directly on Miss An.
“An Yiqing,” CEO Xu spoke.
Miss An, unaware of the situation, casually responded with an “Hmm.”
Mo Zhi’s heart leaped.
She quickly scanned the living room, which was only a third tidied, and thought, This is bad. It’s probably going to be a mess again.
Thud.
A wine bottle landed, smashing into the debris.
CEO Xu said, “Get up, I didn’t ask you to do it.”
“I wanted to handle it myself,” An Yiqing demonstrated the fine quality of speaking her mind. “Miss Hu can clean your living room, so it’s not surprising that I treat your wound, is it?”
“An Yiqing, shut up. Do you know what my relationship with her is? And you compare yourself to me. Are you worthy?” Hu Bingjie lifted the broken photo frame and threw it at her.
The bodyguards at the door didn’t have time to stop it.
The object flew out like an arrow shot from a bow, heading towards the two people by the window.
The photo frame was quite hard; being hit by it would cause a bloody hole.
Mo Zhi was startled and quickly stood up: “CEO Xu, be careful!”
Before she finished speaking, half of the photo frame pierced through the light, aiming for Xu Lingyin’s head.
Mo Zhi’s breathing almost stopped. She wanted to rush over, but she saw a flash in the distance.
The photo frame grazed the dark long hair, smashed against the glass, making a huge noise.
Then it bounced back, falling to the foot of the sofa, pressing down on some dangling long hair.
This was Xu Lingyin’s hair.
At this moment, she was sitting on the sofa, her upper body pressed against her thighs, her head lowered, and her hair spread out.
Her head was throbbing with bl00d, and she felt nauseous.
A person was pressed against her back, making it impossible for her to get up.
A moment before the photo frame came, An Yiqing forcefully pushed her down.
She wasn’t sure if the object had hit An Yiqing.
Lifting her hand to push the person on her back, Xu Lingyin’s voice was a little urgent: “An Yiqing?”
Silence.
Xu Lingyin quickly shouted: “Mo Zhi, come and take a look.”
Mo Zhi, as if waking from a dream, jolted and rushed over, helping An Yiqing up.
An Yiqing was dazed and unresponsive.
Her eyes weren’t moving; she looked like she had been smashed silly.
“Mo Zhi, call the driver to take her to the hospital,” Xu Lingyin got up, ready to leave while supporting the person.
Her arm was pulled back.
“No need,” An Yiqing suddenly spoke, raising her hand to rub her head.
Xu Lingyin looked at her suspiciously: “You weren’t hit?”
An Yiqing shook her head, released her hand, bent down to pick up the photo frame, and lovingly touched the dozen or so black hairs on it.
“I was just thinking, if I had ducked a little more just now, my hair wouldn’t have broken off.”
“Hmm.” Xu Lingyin responded, her eyes flickering for a moment, then she turned her head, her face flushed.
When the danger occurred just now, An Yiqing’s head was probably at her waist.
An Yiqing had stretched out an arm, separating her and An Yiqing’s faces.
According to this woman’s words, without that arm, her hair wouldn’t have been pulled off.
Correspondingly, An Yiqing’s face would have been pressed against her waist…
Immediately interrupting her thoughts, Xu Lingyin took a deep breath.
After a few minutes of calming down, her face slightly recovered. She turned her head and instructed Mo Zhi to go to the pharmacy and buy some ointment.
After that, she kicked away the things on the floor and walked towards Hu Bingjie.
Hu Bingjie was pressed to the ground by the bodyguards, her face as white as a sheet of paper.
Looking at Xu Lingyin, who was gradually approaching, Hu Bingjie’s pupils contracted, and she shook her head frantically, stammering: “Xu Lingyin, I wasn’t aiming for you, I wasn’t…”
Xu Lingyin stood in front of her, straightening her back, only lowering her eyes to look at the person practically crawling at her feet.
“Hu Bingjie, from now on, if you appear again, I will not be merciful.”
“A’yin…”
“Don’t call me so intimately, we’re not close.”
Hu Bingjie trembled all over, her face ashen.
“For the sake of so many years of friendship…”
“Your actions affected An Yiqing. Pay 500,000 yuan to An Yiqing’s account,” Xu Lingyin said expressionlessly, nodding her chin at the bodyguards.
Hu Bingjie wanted to say something more, but An Yiqing noticed Xu Lingyin’s expression was poor, so she walked to Hu Bingjie’s side and led her out.
Walking silently to the door, An Yiqing didn’t leave immediately, continuing to walk with Hu Bingjie.
“The bodyguards and assistant are here, and you are too. What more can I run back and do to Xu Lingyin?” Hu Bingjie laughed mockingly.
An Yiqing opened her mouth, her tone flat: “You’re friends?”
Hu Bingjie: “Mind your own business.”
“You hurt her, had nowhere to vent your anger, so you came after me,” An Yiqing said to herself.
Hu Bingjie gritted her teeth and glared at her.
An Yiqing stopped: “Who did tonight’s events?”
“What if you know?” Hu Bingjie sneered, “Do you want to be Xu Lingyin’s pawn, charging into battle for her?”
“It seems you’re an idiot who knows nothing,” An Yiqing turned and walked away.
Hu Bingjie had two lifelong hates: being called fat and being called stupid.
An Yiqing had hit both.
Rushing in front of An Yiqing, Hu Bingjie mocked: “If you’re so capable, go find evidence for Xu Lingyin. Shouting at me only shows your incompetence.”
An Yiqing glanced at her and smiled: “Goodbye, incompetent Miss Hu.”
After walking two steps, An Yiqing emphasized: “Xu Lingyin told you not to follow her, you remember that, right? If you don’t listen, I will fulfill your wish and be her pawn, charging into battle for her.”
Looking at An Yiqing, Hu Bingjie suddenly laughed: “An Yiqing, I’ll wait for the day you fall on your face. Then, I’ll be right there to applaud you.”
After saying that, she left.
An Yiqing stood in the wind.
Watching the retreating figure, she looked for a few minutes, then turned and returned to the villa.
The house was still a mess.
Xu Lingyin was carrying a bag and walking out.
After experiencing so many things in one night, her face was very pale.
An Yiqing wanted to stay and clean up, but Xu Lingyin directly took her to a villa near the company.
An Yiqing carried a bag of things and followed Xu Lingyin inside.
All the way to the end of the living room.
Xu Lingyin sat by the window, gazing at the night outside, silent.
She hadn’t even changed her shoes, her high heels tapping on the carpet.
The glass reflected her face.
Her beautiful eyebrows were lowered, moving with the rising and falling of her eyelids, playing a low and mournful tune.
An Yiqing glanced at the refrigerator; it was open.
She opened it and saw it was filled with beer.
Taking out a bottle, she walked to Xu Lingyin, carefully opened it, and handed it over.
Xu Lingyin’s gaze slid from the beer to An Yiqing: “You’re not worried about my health anymore?”
“I’ll take care of you,” An Yiqing said. “You might need some alcohol more right now.”
