Come Sit At My House - Chapter 5
Chapter 5
The car door was firmly shut.
Qiu Shuxue held Luo Qingmeng’s face, kissing her over and over. Their saliva mingled. She nibbled at Luo Qingmeng’s lips, not letting her close them. She repeatedly used her tongue to pry at Luo Qingmeng’s thin lips. When Luo Qingmeng finally gave in to the tickling, her lips parted, and Qiu Shuxue captured them completely. Luo Qingmeng had fallen for it a second time.
Luo Qingmeng’s eyes were moist, and her arms felt weak. She wanted to break down and cry. Qiu Shuxue was not being gentle. With one hand behind Luo Qingmeng’s head and the other gripping her waist, she kissed her relentlessly, stealing her breath. Luo Qingmeng’s lips went numb. She couldn’t close her mouth as the kissing continued. Something kept tickling her, and when Qiu Shuxue’s tongue entered, Luo Qingmeng bit down on it.
She thought this would scare Qiu Shuxue and make her stop, but Qiu Shuxue only pulled back slightly. Her hand moved lower, undoing the lowest button on Luo Qingmeng’s coat. Qiu Shuxue’s fingers found their way to Luo Qingmeng’s waist, constantly kneading her sweater. “Don’t… don’t do that, don’t.”
Luo Qingmeng’s breathing became ragged. When she spoke, Qiu Shuxue covered her mouth with a kiss, silencing her. Luo Qingmeng felt that if this continued, her tears would burst out. She was suffocating. Qiu Shuxue stole all the air from her lungs. Her face turned red, and she pushed Qiu Shuxue with all her might, her chest heaving. “Waaah!”
She let out a low sob. Qiu Shuxue lifted her head slightly and kissed the corner of her eye. “Don’t push me,” Qiu Shuxue said.
It was as if Luo Qingmeng were the one bullying her. But… but she was the one being bullied. She had been tormented like this. “You’re sick… you!”
Luo Qingmeng’s eyes were red. She wanted to groan but felt too ashamed. The words came out as sobs instead. She tried to turn her head away, but a car’s headlights pierced her eyes. A black car was pulling out of a parking spot behind them. Luo Qingmeng’s whole body tensed up. She didn’t want to be seen. She resisted Qiu Shuxue fiercely, punching her in her shame and anger.
“Let go, let me go…”
Qiu Shuxue, who was sitting on Luo Qingmeng’s legs, pulled away from her eyes and sat up straight. The light in her eyes was unclear; she was still thinking about continuing their tryst. She placed a finger on Luo Qingmeng’s lips. “Don’t make a sound. Someone might think I’m assaulting you.”
Luo Qingmeng wanted to say, “You are,” but she knew that wasn’t quite right. She actually wanted to be kissed, but her mind wouldn’t allow it, leaving her in a terrible struggle.
“One more kiss, then we’ll go home, okay?” Qiu Shuxue said softly, her lips brushing against the corner of Luo Qingmeng’s eye.
Luo Qingmeng thought she was going crazy. She raised her hands several times, wanting to grab Qiu Shuxue, wanting to hold her waist. But her mind’s resistance won out, and she ended up just gripping the hem of Qiu Shuxue’s coat, kneading and pinching it, thinking that tearing up her expensive coat would be her revenge.
Qiu Shuxue pinned her in the narrow space, kissing her until her mouth was wide open.
Luo Qingmeng only knew they were kissing. When she opened her eyes again, she and Qiu Shuxue were in the back seat. She… she was straddling Qiu Shuxue, who was holding her face and saying, “Sister, you’re so sweet.”
That’s enough.
Luo Qingmeng blinked, forcing herself out of this suffocating situation. She tried to harden herself. “If you kiss me again… I’ll never get in your car again.”
Qiu Shuxue didn’t say anything. Luo Qingmeng raised her voice. “Stop kissing me!”
Qiu Shuxue replied, “Then stop crying.”
Luo Qingmeng blinked again, forcing back the tears hidden under her eyelashes. Her eyes were red, and she felt so weak. It was as if she were saying, “I’m holding back my tears now.”
Qiu Shuxue’s hands touched her cheeks, wiping away the tears. “I’m sorry, sister. I couldn’t help myself.” She bit her lip, still wanting to kiss her.
Luo Qingmeng’s gut told her Qiu Shuxue was not going to keep her promise this time. Luo Qingmeng was genuinely angry now. She reached for the car door.
Qiu Shuxue grabbed her hand and apologized. “No more kisses. I’m just looking at you. You’re so cute. Every time you cry, I want to look at you more.”
“I’m not crying…” Luo Qingmeng blinked. “You kissed me too fast and too hard. You bit my tongue.”
After she said it, the atmosphere changed again. Luo Qingmeng felt Qiu Shuxue pinching her face. Luo Qingmeng was at a loss, enduring her gaze. When she couldn’t take it anymore, she pulled up her coat collar and shrunk into it. “If you kiss me again, I’m jumping out of here.”
Finally, Qiu Shuxue had her fill. She opened the door and went to the driver’s seat. Luo Qingmeng remained motionless in the back. She absolutely refused to sit in the passenger seat and huddled tightly in the back. She made a silent promise to herself. If she ever got in Qiu Shuxue’s car again, she was… a dog.
This woman is truly shameless, she thought. So young and all she knows is how to kiss people. How lewd. So young and already wanting to go to bed with people. She must be… not a good student.
But then Luo Qingmeng couldn’t continue her mental cursing. She remembered what Chen Xin had said in the elevator—Qiu Shuxue had graduated from a prestigious university. It just wasn’t fair.
The car started and drove out of the garage. Luo Qingmeng’s fingers worked under her coat to re-button the button Qiu Shuxue had unbuttoned. Her hands were shaking badly. She clenched them tightly. The city outside was cloaked in darkness, though the lights from high-rises shone brightly. Luo Qingmeng thought of many things, and a wave of bitterness washed over her.
When they arrived at the apartment complex, Luo Qingmeng was still in a daze, as if it wasn’t real. She looked up at the 32-story building in front of her. She had never imagined she would live here. If it hadn’t been for the mess of her marriage, she would have lowered her head every time she passed by. She heard that a small apartment here cost three million yuan.
In the darkness, Luo Qingmeng felt that she really should atone. She felt too much pleasure from the kisses, and she was almost betraying her own moral compass. How could she keep kissing Qiu Shuxue? She should feel disgusted, feel nauseous. She prayed to God, “I am a sinner. Please forgive me. And please, don’t let Qiu Shuxue kiss me again.”
When Qiu Shuxue’s hand touched her, she flinched instantly. Qiu Shuxue pressed the seatbelt buckle, unfastened it, and leaned in to kiss her cheek. “Sister, we’re home.”
Luo Qingmeng trembled, feeling that God had abandoned her. She let out a small hum, which sounded more like a whine of submission. Luo Qingmeng now felt like a sinner. She cursed Qiu Shuxue, and in doing so, she cursed herself, too. She walked ahead of Qiu Shuxue, rushing to swipe her keycard and push the elevator button first. She wanted to get away from Qiu Shuxue.
But Qiu Shuxue was quick. She held the elevator door open with her hand and stepped in with her. Luo Qingmeng instinctively shrunk her neck. Qiu Shuxue’s eyes were always on her, as if she could never get enough. It was so annoying.
It reminded her of a high school talent show. Girls from wealthy families dared to perform a fiery, chest-thrusting dance, while she sat in the back, hiding her plump body in an oversized school uniform. She would silently wish that one day, she could stand under the spotlight and sing a song that would amaze everyone. But she never sang a song in her entire student life. She always looked down at the stage. When everyone went their separate ways, she stood on the very edge of the third row of girls, still in her school uniform, for a group photo. The only things that were a little different about her were that she had styled her hair in a center part, just like the girl who was the best at makeup in her class. Unfortunately, the camera wasn’t focused on her, and the photo made her look especially dark.
Even so, no one ever noticed her. It was as if a flower had been waiting to bloom, and it waited and waited, but only opened a tiny little bud that didn’t surprise anyone. Not even herself. And that was the end of her youth.
She didn’t deny that she was attracted to power when she was dating Li An. She cherished being with him and felt like someone had finally discovered her hidden spark.
On the 24th floor, Luo Qingmeng opened her door and quickly closed it behind her, afraid that Qiu Shuxue would follow. She had just put on her slippers when the doorbell rang. Of course, it was Qiu Shuxue. “You left your slippers at my place yesterday. When are you coming to get them?”
“I don’t want them.”
“Can I have them then?”
Luo Qingmeng frowned. “Just leave them at the door.” She paused for a moment. “And the books… stop ringing the doorbell. Just leave them at the door!”
The books were moved in the next morning. Because she felt like a sinner, she hadn’t opened them. For the next two days, Luo Qingmeng felt like she was being haunted and tried to make herself as invisible as possible. She deliberately avoided Qiu Shuxue. She had checked the camera on her door. Qiu Shuxue left ten minutes after her every day, so she just had to leave ten minutes earlier to avoid her.
But when she came back at night and checked the camera on her door, she saw a ghost. Qiu Shuxue came out right after she left. Qiu Shuxue was also leaving earlier, clearly trying to catch her.
When Luo Qingmeng checked the camera, she never saw Li An at Qiu Shuxue’s door. Of course, the earliest date on the camera was a week ago. The landlord said she had cleared the data for privacy before Luo Qingmeng moved in. Luo Qingmeng’s mind started working again. Were the two of them in on this together, deliberately not hanging around the front door? And was Qiu Shuxue harassing her to make her leave?
These two people… one’s a scumbag, and the other’s a slut.
So annoying! If she had to leave any earlier, Luo Qingmeng would have to get up at six. Who would be crazy enough to go to work like they were going to morning prayers?
It wasn’t until Wednesday that she finally got a break. Their work schedule was five days on, two off, but their days off rotated. Luo Qingmeng had covered a shift for Chen Xin, so she had three consecutive days off. On Wednesday evening, Luo Qingmeng left the bookstore early, mainly to avoid Qiu Shuxue. She had heard Chen Xin say that Qiu Shuxue had ordered several more sets of books on the app.
“She’s so rich,” Chen Xin had said.
On her way back, Luo Qingmeng went to the supermarket to buy groceries, garbage bags, and toilet paper. Every time she spent money, she thought of Li An. That scumbag hadn’t made a move and had blocked all her information. Luo Qingmeng planned to go find him next week. If he still ignored her, she would go to his company and make a scene until he paid her.
Luo Qingmeng carried her bags up the stairs. She pressed the button for the 24th floor hard. An older lady who got on the elevator with her suddenly started talking. “You cook for yourself, huh? Young people these days rarely cook. That’s a rare sight.”
Luo Qingmeng just hummed. Then she looked at the lady, who called her “young person.” Had she gotten younger? Maybe, she had been using a lot of skincare and face masks recently and had been trying to improve her posture.
“I cook when I’m not busy,” Luo Qingmeng said. “Home-cooked food tastes better.” That wasn’t it. It was because bringing her own food was cheaper. The same ten yuan of groceries could last her for three meals.
The lady said, “You’re not from around here, are you? I see you bought a lot of chili peppers.”
Luo Qingmeng nodded. “No, I’m just working here.”
“That little girlfriend of yours cooks well, too.”
Luo Qingmeng smiled. “Not that well.”
Just then, the door opened. Qiu Shuxue was standing outside. She was looking at her phone, but she looked up and saw her. “She cooks very well, sister. You’re just being modest.”
Luo Qingmeng quickly carried her things out of the elevator. Qiu Shuxue was about to get on, but she turned around and didn’t get in. The old lady inside called out, “I’m closing the door now!”
Luo Qingmeng kept her head down and walked quickly toward her door. Qiu Shuxue followed, calling her. Luo Qingmeng went to ring her doorbell. Qiu Shuxue tilted her head. “There’s a package.” Luo Qingmeng ignored her. Qiu Shuxue added, “The one you bought.”
The door was already open. Luo Qingmeng suddenly realized what package she was talking about. She quickly turned around and saw a black package in Qiu Shuxue’s hand. She reached out to grab it, but Qiu Shuxue dodged. “Did you really buy this?”
“N-none of your business… you don’t need to know,” Luo Qingmeng’s face flushed.
Qiu Shuxue drew out the word. “Mm… pleated sarong lace, high-cut triangle, sheer and hazy… Sister, how sexy. And some of the styles… look just like mine.”
“Y-you give that back! You opened my package! Don’t you have any shame?”
Qiu Shuxue explained, “I thought it was mine, so I opened it. You didn’t write your name on it.”
When Luo Qingmeng bought them, she was too embarrassed to use her name, so she had just used a random set of letters. She never thought this would happen… She hadn’t bought the exact same ones as Qiu Shuxue, just similar ones. The rest were popular styles. Besides, they weren’t that sexy. She had chosen the “French” style, which was known for being romantic. It was only because Qiu Shuxue was a pervert that she saw them as sexy and inappropriate.
Luo Qingmeng didn’t want to be misunderstood. “Don’t just think whatever you want. What I wear… you wear them, too. Who are you to judge?”
Qiu Shuxue still hadn’t gone inside. She looked at Luo Qingmeng and smiled. “Mmm, sister, don’t misunderstand. I’m a very promiscuous person, I just haven’t had a chance to show you yet. If you want to see…”
Bang.
The door slammed shut again.
Luo Qingmeng didn’t want to deal with her or this conversation. But what about the package? Should she just give up on it?
The worst part was that her packages had been arriving these past few days. The mail carrier seemed to not realize someone lived in her apartment. Even though she clearly wrote the number on it, they kept delivering them to the apartment across the hall. Qiu Shuxue’s doorbell was being rung several times a day.
Luo Qingmeng finished work later than Qiu Shuxue. If she didn’t come out to get them, Qiu Shuxue would take them inside. Qiu Shuxue knew they were hers but wouldn’t tell her and just took them for herself. She was so… so disrespectful.
Those were her bras! She had spent five or six hundred on them! She had to go get them.
