Crazy (Lily ABO) - Chapter 8
“You… what do you mean?”
Xin Ruofan remained stunned for a long time, struggling to utter a sentence. The Alpha in front of her refused to raise her head, only repeating “I’m sorry” over and over. Like a child who had done something wrong, she confessed helplessly.
The anger in the Omega’s heart steadily rose. She forcefully tugged at the Alpha’s collar, forcing her to look her in the eye, only to be met with a tear-streaked face. Of the two on the bed, one was naked, and the other still wore a bathrobe. The Alpha in the bathrobe was crying so sadly, like a victim who had been taken advantage of, even though she was clearly the one who had been penetrated.
Teng Lin cried until she was breathless, finally calming down after a long while. She looked up at the Omega’s eyes, which gradually dimmed, but the flush of post-coital desire on her eyelids looked exceptionally alluring. The alluring scene of their passionate encounter flashed untimely in her mind, and the Alpha’s lower body subtly stiffened again.
Xin Ruofan’s cold gaze swept over it, then she sneered and, naked, got out of bed. Standing at the bathroom door, she looked back at the Alpha on the bed, her eyes shimmering with moisture. “You don’t owe me an apology. It was my choice. I seduced you.”
Teng Lin dared not meet her eyes. Her unfocused gaze only saw the woman’s smooth, pale back and the red mole on her shoulder blade. The bathroom door gently closed, and silence returned to the room.
••••
Teng Lin sat alone in her car, her head heavy. She had run away again. Time and again, she hurt others, selfishly avoiding everything, always just hiding in her own world, wallowing in self-pity. Despite this, Xin Ruofan still rushed to her, pouring out her affection again and again.
Teng Lin leaned back wearily against the seat, closing her swollen eyelids, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably. “What’s there to like about a rotten person like me…?”
Due to fatigue, emotional suppression, and a sudden drop in temperature, Teng Lin fell ill the next day. There was an important meeting in the morning that she had to attend. She went home, changed into clean clothes, took cold medicine, and dragged her aching, tired body back to the studio.
Teng Lin endured her heavy head until the meeting ended. Her assistant worriedly asked if she needed to go to the hospital, but she waved her hand, gave a few instructions not to be disturbed, and locked herself in the studio. She sat in front of her easel, staring blankly at the woman in the painting, feeling a sudden pang of discomfort remembering last night’s events.
Teng Lin reluctantly put down her paintbrush, covered herself with a blanket, and curled up on the sofa. She inhaled the lingering tuberose scent on her body, slowly drawing out the hidden memories in her heart. In her dream, the young girl with a ponytail was washing brushes beside her, their smiles reflected in each other’s pupils. She saw sincerity and admiration in the girl’s eyes. Then, she dreamed again of a rainy night in London, where a more mature woman threw away her umbrella, crying as she ran toward her, her eyes full of the joy of reunion.
In a haze, Teng Lin heard her phone vibrate, but she felt cold all over, unwilling to open her eyes or muster the strength to get up. She continued to immerse herself in the memories of her dream, unwilling to wake up.
Xin Ruofan hung up the phone. When she called again, it went straight to voicemail. She rubbed her tightly furrowed brow with her index finger. The Omega felt a little frustrated and agitated, with a sense of helplessness, a burning anger with nowhere to vent. This person was cowardly and timid, running away after having s3x, completely irresponsible. Yet, she couldn’t help but like her, hopelessly addicted to this attachment.
A bitter smile appeared in Xin Ruofan’s eyes, then instantly vanished. She tidied herself up and took a taxi to the studio.
“Hello, I’m here to see Teacher Teng Lin.”
The assistant looked up, an apologetic expression on her face. “Miss Xin, I’m sorry, but Teacher is not seeing anyone today. I can book you an appointment for tomorrow.”
“I need to see her now; it’s urgent.” Xin Ruofan smiled warmly at the assistant, adding sincerely, “Please, could you let her know?”
The assistant hesitated for a moment, recalling that this Omega had previously been seen entering and exiting the boss’s studio. She guessed their relationship must be quite intimate, as her boss never allowed anyone into her private room. So, the assistant nodded and led Xin Ruofan to the studio door.
“Teacher, Miss Xin is here.”
The assistant gently knocked on the door. There was no response, so she knocked again. Xin Ruofan frowned slightly, acutely sensing the bitter peach pheromones seeping from under the door. It was stronger than usual, carrying an unusual quality, though it didn’t seem like a estrus period.
“Is she feeling unwell?”
The assistant looked at her with slight surprise. “Yes, Teacher has a cold.”
“I’ll go in and check on her. You can go about your work.”
Xin Ruofan didn’t wait for a reply. She pushed the door open, quickly closed it behind her. The assistant stared at the closed door, taking a moment to realize what had happened, confirming her suspicions.
The curtains were undrawn, and thin slivers of sunlight passed through the gaps onto the floor. The room was a little dark. Teng Lin was curled up on the sofa, sleeping soundly with her eyes closed. The rich bitter peach scent permeated the room. Enveloped by this familiar fragrance again, a blush rose on Xin Ruofan’s face.
The lingering sensations from last night seemed to still cling to her thighs. A slight wetness seeped from between her legs, itching, and all her pores felt open. Xin Ruofan tiptoed over, knelt in front of the sofa, and carefully placed her hand on the woman’s forehead. A burning heat transferred to her fingertips. She sighed deeply, muttering softly, “Why are you so annoying…?”
