- Dare to Cancel the Engagement? I Will Marry Your Ancestor!
- Chapter 27 - The Crazy Woman Is Unreasonable
The stink in the passage was overwhelming. After Mo Ling landed, he kicked the Xingyao Sect’s Saintess, who was lying on the ground.
“Really fainted at the right time!”
Although he said that, Mo Ling still felt a pang of sympathy. He picked up the Saintess and walked further into the cave, looking for a hidden and well-ventilated small cavern.
The Saintess had noticeable five-finger claw marks across her chest, and the wound had already turned purple and was spreading.
Since Mo Ling had already mastered the Refined Corpse Secret Technique, he knew how to expel the corpse poison.
However…
Mo Ling wiped the dirt off the Saintess’s face with her sleeve, revealing her cold and beautiful face.
“Since you’re a beauty, I’ll make a little sacrifice.”
Mo Ling sat down cross-legged and activated a full-body technique of the Refined Corpse Secret Art. This would prevent him from getting infected while sucking out the poison from the Saintess.
He tore open the Saintess’s chest garment, revealing her smooth, white chest. However, Mo Ling had no particular interest in the Saintess, so he didn’t spare more than a glance.
His warm lips touched her chest, and her body shuddered slightly.
Mo Ling sucked out the black corpse poison from her body, and slowly, the Saintess’s complexion began to turn rosy. Mo Ling, however, was drenched in sweat.
Suddenly, the Saintess opened her eyes. She saw Mo Ling’s head rise from her chest, and his black long hair brushed against her delicate skin, sending a wave of numbness through her body.
“You! What have you done to me?”
The Saintess was stunned and looked down at her torn clothes, revealing her exposed chest. She immediately screamed.
“You dare to take advantage of the Xingyao Sect’s Saintess? You—”
She covered her chest with one hand, and with the other, she raised it to slap Mo Ling.
Mo Ling, annoyed, grabbed her wrist, spat the toxic bl00d on the ground, and said, “Is this how you treat your savior?”
The Saintess looked at the black bl00d on the ground and the reddish marks on her chest where the poison had been sucked out. She realized Mo Ling had only been trying to save her.
But she was furious and unreasonable, shouting, “I’d rather die than have you save me like this!”
Mo Ling wiped the bl00d from his mouth and sneered, “You think I want to save you? If you hadn’t caused trouble earlier, I would have left long ago!”
That comment was the last straw, directly stepping on her pride. She quickly dressed herself, her eyes now filled with murderous intent.
Mo Ling stood up slowly, brushing off the dust on his clothes. “I’m unlucky to have met someone like you. Forget about gratitude; I don’t need it. We’ll go our separate ways. Farewell!”
Mo Ling swung his sleeve and headed for the exit, intending to find Long Qianqian through another passage.
However, the Saintess, seeing him leave, grew angry and reached for her Fire God Whip, shouting, “I am the Xingyao Sect’s Saintess! You touched me, and now you want to leave?”
Mo Ling didn’t even look back, sneering, “Sorry, I’m a married man, so no thank you.”
The Saintess, furious, flew at him without saying a word and attacked with her whip.
“What are you, trying to match me, a Saintess? Die!”
The fire whips rained down like a storm, wrapping around Mo Ling in a net of red fire. At this point, any wrong move would result in him being shredded by the whip.
Damn!
Mo Ling didn’t expect this Saintess to go crazy like this, repaying kindness with enmity and trying to get him killed along with the corpses!
“Hmph! I have no interest in you. Do you think you’re some kind of beauty?”
The Saintess’s rage reached new heights. She shouted, “I am the most beautiful woman in Xingyao Sect, and you dare insult the Saintess! You deserve to die!”
Mo Ling groaned internally. He couldn’t have a rational conversation with this crazy woman.
“Boom!”
A crimson seal flew from Mo Ling’s hand, expanding rapidly. There was a loud explosion as the two forces clashed.
For a moment, the two red lights collided, and the sound of explosions continued.
Mo Ling was surprised.
This wasn’t right.
The Saintess was at the mid-stage of the Yuan Master realm, which was a whole level stronger than him. If she weren’t weakened by the corpse poison, he wasn’t sure he could escape unscathed.
He quickly gathered his energy and realized, much to his surprise and joy, that he had advanced to the Mid-Yuan Master realm.
The passage and the cave began to collapse. If they didn’t hurry, they would be buried alive here.
However, the Saintess was still relentlessly pursuing him, cursing, “You despicable man! Leave your name! I will chase you to the ends of the earth!”
Mo Ling leaped into the air, flying towards another passage with the wind, wanting to escape from this crazy woman.
But the Saintess clung to him. As Mo Ling was about to fly through the passage, she wrapped her Fire God Whip around his waist.
“Annoying! I’ve never seen a Saintess cling to a man like this!”
“You! Die!”
The Saintess gnashed, gathering a red longsword in her left hand, aiming for Mo Ling’s back.
Mo Ling swiftly unsheathed his long spear from his back and blocked the attack, deflecting the sword.
The red crescent-like sword energy slid across the ground of the collapsing passage, further destabilizing the already crumbling ground. Large chunks of stone fell, and a huge black pit appeared.
The Saintess lost her footing and fell towards the pit, but her Fire God Whip tangled with Mo Ling and dragged him down with her.
What bad luck!
Mo Ling flipped and struck the ground, stabilizing his position with the momentum of the attack, landing lightly.
The Saintess’s whip swung, sending the falling stones away and she twisted mid-air before using the wall to land on one knee.
She was breathing heavily, sweat dotting her forehead.
Mo Ling pulled out a firestick and lit it, illuminating the surroundings.
To his surprise, the passage below them had a deep underground pit. The ground was covered with yellow dirt, and dry grass roots could be seen.
Around them were charred and twisted tree trunks, standing unnaturally. In the distance, a house was faintly visible.
It seemed that there had once been grass, trees, and houses here, and it was likely situated under the sun.
But something had caused the area to sink into the ground.
Mo Ling raised the firestick towards the ceiling, but it was pitch dark, and he couldn’t see the hole they had fallen through.
How had this place been preserved so well?
The Saintess, with no more temper left, cautiously approached.
“This place feels strange.”
Mo Ling glanced at her and then stepped forward. “You should ask yourself; after all, you brought me here.”
