Dark-colored Fairy Tale: Seven Magicians - Chapter 13
Chapter 13
Liu Menglu had no doubt that if she were to take that hit, she would definitely become tomorrow’s headline news.
Shocking: Headless female corpse found on the street. Is it a moral decay or a social perversion?
Thinking of these melodramatic headlines, Liu Menglu found the strength to fight back. She threw herself to the side with all her might.
In a face-plant position, she dodged the attack. Perhaps Liu Menglu’s clumsy posture successfully amused the monster in front of her.
It used the giant shield on its other hand to poke at Liu Menglu playfully.
Liu Menglu rolled over and dodged again. The pig-headed monster became even more excited.
It let out a joyful squeal. The sound, like a piercing sonic wave, scattered in all directions.
Liu Menglu looked at the continuously wailing monster, rubbed her legs, and decided to lead the monster away.
No matter what, her home of 18 years was just ahead. She absolutely would not let her home be turned into a ruin. With this firm belief, Liu Menglu, the “Campus Goddess,” went offline.
“Hey, monster! You know what? Your horse is gone!” Liu Menglu, the “Zu’an Queen,” came online.
This strange turn of events gave her the bizarre idea that she could outrun the monster.
The pig-headed monster was completely enraged by her words. It held its hammer and started running with a loud thump-thump-thump on the ground.
Every step made the road tremble, causing Liu Menglu to sweat nervously. But seeing her home not far away, she gritted her teeth and ran toward the nearby abandoned area.
Throughout her run, she continued with insults like, “How many floors can you carry a bag of rice up? What’s life like without a horse?”
Liu Menglu’s quick wit made the pig-headed monster both angry and a little confused.
Isn’t trash talk before you die something villains do? Why is it the other way around for me?
Perhaps to save face, the pig-headed monster let out another long cry. The piercing shriek made Liu Menglu dizzy.
Seeing the girl no longer spewing insults, the pig-headed monster squealed with triumph.
“You see, you are so perfect.”
“Why don’t you belong to me? I want to possess you!”
Hearing the familiar, complaining wails in her ear, Liu Menglu had a bizarre thought of Zhu Bajie from Journey to the West trying to force Gao Cuilan to marry him.
So, is there really no magical girl coming to save the day?
Liu Menglu silently complained as she looked at the somewhat rampaging pig-headed man. Then, she looked at the pig-headed man with an air of heroic fearlessness.
I’m going to die anyway. Instead of dying miserably, I might as well die a tragic hero.
“Which tastes better, pig head meat or pig ears?”
Chloe, who had been hiding in the shadows, was waiting for Liu Menglu to pass out before she took action. She didn’t want Liu Menglu to have any contact with magical beings. But now…
Watching the pig-headed monster being driven crazy by Liu Menglu, Chloe realized for the first time that her gentle, goddess-like sister had a vicious mouth, even surpassing Mist. Once she started with the insults, she completely overwhelmed the monster.
Is this what the young people nowadays call “when the Zu’an Queen speaks, who dares to compete”?
So, is “Zu’an” a fighting style that Chinese magical beings developed to extend to ordinary people?
While Chloe was still pondering the origin of “Zu’an” as a magical power, Liu Menglu was in a perilous situation.
She looked at the continuously ranting pig-headed monster. She appeared calm on the surface, but inside, she was trembling like an old dog.
So why aren’t the special forces or the magical girls here to save me?!
According to the rules, they should have all assembled and are ready to fight the little monster.
Liu Menglu silently complained to herself, distracting her mind from the fear that kept welling up. Finally, the pig-headed monster seemed to have lost its patience.
It raised the pig-head-shaped hammer in its hand high and brought it down hard on Liu Menglu.
Liu Menglu could feel that this time, the monster really wanted her dead.
Liu Menglu’s face showed no emotion, but her full attention was on this attack. Just as she was preparing to try and dodge it, suddenly…
The pig-headed monster used the giant shield in its other hand to smash Liu Menglu.
Damn it, you pig-head monster, you’re cheating!
This surprise attack caught Liu Menglu completely off guard. She yelled out that her life was over and prepared for the end.
Just as Liu Menglu was ready to die a heroic death, “CLANG!” A sound of metal clashing rang in her ears.
Liu Menglu cautiously opened her eyes and saw an unknown person, a head shorter than her, clad in black knight armor. The person was holding a nearly two-meter-long red bl00d spear and had blocked the attack for her.
Seeing this scene, Liu Menglu was not at all surprised. Instead, she had a strange, “I knew it” feeling.
How could the world let a perfect girl like me die at the hands of some inexplicable monster? She kept adding to her internal monologue.
Liu Menglu desperately tried to distract herself, preventing her legs from going weak and her from falling to the ground and becoming a burden to the person who just saved her.
The pig-headed monster looked at the suddenly appearing Chloe. Its excitement instantly turned to agitation.
“Possession! Possession! Possession! ROAR!”
Liu Menglu quietly retreated a dozen meters. I’m so cute; it’s better to just watch. Fighting is not for me.
Even if I were to fight one day, it would have to be after I become a magical girl.
Just when Liu Menglu thought this unknown person would fight the pig-headed monster for three hundred rounds, suddenly…
A red bolt of bl00d light flashed, and then the pig-headed monster—it was gone! It just disappeared that simply!
Liu Menglu: ???!!!
So, these monsters are that easy to kill?
Then, why did I run just now?
As if she could read Liu Menglu’s mind, Chloe frowned. “If you don’t want to die, run immediately when you see a demon next time. They are not something you ordinary people can deal with.”
Liu Menglu listened to the voice coming from the armor and found it surprisingly cold and pleasant. The youthful, girlish tone in the voice suddenly made Liu Menglu excited.
“Are you… the legendary magical girl?”
Chloe neither denied nor agreed.
She walked up to where the huge pig-headed man had been. She thrust her spear, and the huge monster, which was now just a pile of black mist, gradually transformed into a young man.
Liu Menglu was surprised for a moment, then took a step forward. “Is that Lu Yumo? How could it be him?”
Chloe, who had been following her for days, was not surprised that Liu Menglu knew the person in front of her.
“Demons are usually created when a person can no longer resist the temptations of the Seven Deadly Sins and falls, turning into a monster.”
“Falling?” Liu Menglu was a little confused. She had watched a lot of magical girl anime, but she knew nothing about the reality of it.
While Liu Menglu was still confused about how a person could “fall” in real life, Chloe was in a bit of a predicament.
She wanted to complete the final ritual, but the ritual required her to remove her armor.
This meant her true identity would be revealed to Liu Menglu, which made Chloe frown.
