Desert Island Girl (Pure Lily) - Chapter 3.1
The afternoon was the time when the sunlight shone most fiercely.
Golden rays filled the sky, star-like sand sparkled, and ripples danced on the sea surface.
Everything seemed to reflect light, dazzling people so they could not open their eyes.
The scenery was beautiful, but the five girls were even more beautiful.
They stood in a slightly uneven line, moving slowly along the wet beach.
The sunlight fell on the girls’ smooth, bare bodies, making their skin glisten like polished porcelain.
Their crooked footprints stretched longer as they walked forward.
The frothy seawater occasionally covered the girls’ slender feet, quietly erasing the messy tracks behind them.
“The ship broke into two pieces, but we could climb inside from the decks at the bow and stern. We should split into two teams, check each room one by one, and prioritize rescuing food and water,” Mu Mu said.
Mu Mu walked at the front of the group.
She took a bite of bread and pointed at the shipwreck nearby, explaining the task to everyone.
Following behind her, Xiaoyang tilted her head back and drank a few sips of pure water.
She wiped her mouth and said firmly, “No way!”
“?”
The other girls looked at Xiaoyang curiously.
Everyone said food was the most important thing, so was there something more important than food and water?
Seeing everyone staring at her, Xiaoyang sighed helplessly.
“We do need to split into two teams, but we can’t all look for food. Some of us need to search for daily necessities and tools—ideally, a tent! We must solve the shelter problem first.”
They would need to stay here for at least half a month, maybe longer!
Without a safe shelter, the temperature difference between day and night could kill them.
Relying only on food wouldn’t help them survive on the island.
Mu Mu touched her chin.
“Hmm… you’re right. Shelter is also important. Rescue might not come for a while, and depending only on the ship’s food isn’t a long-term plan…”
“But Xiaoyang said earlier that someone would rescue us in a few days…” Jiang Ning said.
Jiang Ning looked at the others pitifully.
“I still think food is more important—people have both an angel and a devil inside them, half human and half beast! If we don’t have food, the beastly side will grow! I’m fair-skinned, beautiful, tender, and juicy! And I’m too weak to fight back. If you all start killing each other, you’ll definitely eat me first!”
… Did all rich people think like her? Besides, she was so skinny—who would eat her?
“… Miss, please understand one thing—I would never eat a person, no matter what… We’re just preparing for every possibility,” Xiaoyang said.
Xiaoyang smiled at her.
“Besides, as a noble lady, you wouldn’t want to sleep in a cave or directly on the ground, right? It’s not just uncomfortable—if you fall asleep, spiders, ants, and all sorts of weird bugs will crawl onto your clothes…”
“!”
Jiang Ning hugged her head in fear and interrupted her.
“Ahh! Okay, stop talking! I get it! Change of plan—this lady orders you! Before the sun sets today, we must build a shelter!”
After speaking, she grabbed Yi Yun and Tingting and quickly walked toward the ship.
Her two white rabbits bounced up and down with her movements.
Running to keep up with Jiang Ning, Tingting seemed very helpless.
“Um, there are dead bodies on the ship… Can I wait outside?”
Jiang Ning paused noticeably at her words.
“R-relax! They’re just corpses! Stay behind me—this upper-class lady has a duty to protect you commoners…”
But her trembling voice made it seem like she’d be scared enough to wet herself any second…
Although Jiang Ning was trying to act tough, Xiaoyang didn’t have a bad impression of her.
Meanwhile, Yi Yun, dragged along by Jiang Ning, felt embarrassed as her ample chest bounced wildly.
She gently held it with one hand.
About one or two minutes later, the girls reached the wreckage of the Star of the Blue Sea.
The massive ship had broken into two pieces, stuck in the sand in a “V” shape.
The area around it was a mess, with traces of seawater everywhere.
Some thinner trees had even been snapped by the water’s force.
One could imagine that the ship hit a reef last night, was torn in half by a tsunami, and then washed ashore by the flood…
The sea could rip apart even a steel body, so the fate of the passengers on board was obvious.
Luckily, Xiaoyang had fallen off the ship at the time, or she’d be a ghost drifting on the sea now.
“It’s so tall… It didn’t seem like much from far away, but up close, it’s pretty impressive…” Yi Yun said.
Yi Yun looked up at the towering wreckage, one hand covering her chest, the other shielding her eyes from the sun.
Tingting nervously glanced around.
“I heard this ship could carry hundreds of people, so inside the ship, there must be…”
“Don’t worry,” Mu Mu said.
Mu Mu walked to the wreckage and climbed onto the bow, which was stuck in the ground.
She kept her balance, nimbly climbed onto the deck, and tossed her short hair back.
“When the shipwreck happened, many people fell into the sea. Most drowned or froze to death in the water because they couldn’t reach the shore. Very few actually died inside the ship.”
The other girls fell silent at her words.
Including the crew, hundreds of people were on board, but only five survived.
It was too tragic…
