Desert Island Girl (Pure Lily) - Chapter 6.2
Her pretty eyes widened as if she heard something unbelievable.
Bending her slender waist and lifting her pale buttocks to slip on another pair of pointed high heels, Yi Yun paused at Jiang Ning’s words.
Breathing softly, she stood up slowly, elegantly brushed her hair behind her ear, and looked gently at the bewildered Jiang Ning.
Her red lips parted slightly, her eyes deep.
Yi Yun smiled seductively and repeated softly, “Put them on…”
Her voice was quiet, even gentle, but carried an undeniable, almost threatening tone.
Staring at Yi Yun’s captivating smile, Jiang Ning seemed to see a devil behind it…
“F-fine… since you… care so much about this lady, I-I’ll reluctantly agree…” Jiang Ning said.
Slightly scared by Yi Yun’s unusual behavior, Jiang Ning stammered.
She avoided Yi Yun’s charming gaze, bent down, and obediently put on the high heels.
The shoes were a bit loose but tight at the toes, and the heels were high.
Her feet weren’t cold anymore, but she wobbled like a duck when walking…
How could anyone wear these shoes?
Seeing the haughty girl pouting, head down, waddling like a penguin behind her, Yi Yun couldn’t help but chuckle.
“What? Can’t the high-society lady handle high heels?” she teased.
“N-nonsense! This lady wears high heels all the time! It’s just… these are too tight!” Jiang Ning said, struggling to balance and stiffening her neck to explain.
Seeing her discomfort but stubbornness, Yi Yun found it both amusing and exasperating. She shook her head with a wry smile.
“Alright, alright, bear with it for now, Miss. This commoner sister will find you a better pair later, okay?”
Following her memory, Yi Yun led the wobbling Jiang Ning to the staircase leading downward.
“Yun… Sister Yun, are we going downstairs?” Jiang Ning asked.
At the staircase, Jiang Ning stopped, adjusted the tablecloth wrapped around her, and seemed hesitant.
What was wrong with this girl now…
Sighing helplessly, Yi Yun held her small hand tightly and turned to explain.
“Yes, we’re going to the lower decks to find the food storage warehouses. Are you scared?”
“What? No, it’s not that…” Jiang Ning said.
Unusually, she didn’t retort with her haughty attitude.
Jiang Ning rubbed her fingers, her brows furrowed, looking like a hesitant young girl.
“It’s just… I was thinking…”
Seeing her stammer, Yi Yun tilted her head and raised an eyebrow. “Ning’er, you can say what’s on your mind.”
Biting her lip, Jiang Ning looked at Yi Yun seriously.
“Sister Yun, can we… can we search the top-floor ocean-view rooms first?” she asked.
“The top floor? Why go there?” Yi Yun asked, confused.
Dropping her usual haughty demeanor, Jiang Ning looked at Yi Yun with a grave expression.
“My room was on the top floor, Sister Yun. There’s something I really want to get back! But I’m scared to go alone. Can you come with me, Sister Yun?” she said.
“What… thing?” Yi Yun asked, eyeing her suspiciously.
She didn’t refuse outright—she wanted to know what could turn the arrogant rich girl into this serious state.
“A necklace,” Jiang Ning said.
Seeing Yi Yun roll her eyes and start toward the lower decks, Jiang Ning quickly grabbed her to explain.
“Not just any necklace—it’s Anna’s necklace!”
Yi Yun stopped and looked back at Jiang Ning.
“Anna? Who’s Anna?” she asked.
“Anna… Anna was my best friend. She…” Jiang Ning said.
Jiang Ning pursed her lips, lowered her head, and paused for a few seconds before sighing.
“She passed away recently… That necklace was a gift I gave her. It has the only photo of us together. Sister Yun, please! Come with me! I’m really scared to go alone!”
Looking at Jiang Ning’s near-pleading expression, Yi Yun felt her heart soften.
For the haughty girl to beg someone, this Anna must have been very important to her…
Fair enough… who didn’t have someone they cared about?
Especially when it was a best friend’s only keepsake…
Sighing inwardly, Yi Yun made up her mind and looked at her seriously.
“One hour!” she said.
“?” Jiang Ning blinked, confused.
“I mean, I’ll give you one hour to find the necklace—for Anna’s sake. I’m sorry for her loss, but we still need time to find food to survive,” Yi Yun said.
Jiang Ning’s eyes lit up instantly.
She lunged at Yi Yun, pressing her chest against Yi Yun’s ample br3asts.
“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, Sister Yun! I’ll remember this kindness forever!” she said.
“Tch… no need for that,” Yi Yun said, leaning back slightly.
After the earlier br3ast-touching incident, she didn’t want Jiang Ning near her sensitive areas—especially not pressing her chest against hers.
The elastic, soft sensation felt strange.
Gently pushing away the nearly crying Jiang Ning, Yi Yun changed her plan and headed upstairs.
“Lead the way. Our time is precious,” she said.
