Destined Hearts of Mu and Yu (GL) - Chapter 35
The moment Qin Mu’s lips touched hers, her mind exploded with a loud bang, as if struck by lightning. A voice in her head kept echoing: This isn’t real. This must be a dream.
She quickly opened her eyes, staring deeply at Wei Hanyu’s face so close before her. Only when she saw that perfect beauty at arm’s length did she finally breathe out in relief—it wasn’t a dream.
But she dared not close her eyes. She feared that once shut, when she opened them again, the dream would vanish.
Her tongue clumsily parted Wei Hanyu’s lips, searching for the soft pink tongue within. The instant they touched, the feeling was so wonderful it could not be put into words. Their tongues tangled and pushed against each other—half refusal, half acceptance.
The sensation was so intoxicating that every pore on Qin Mu’s body seemed to open in delight.
Her hands refused to stay still. They slid up to Wei Hanyu’s full chest. Before, she had only dared to place her hands properly at her waist—how could she ever have touched here? But once she did, she could not resist. She gently kneaded, her heart racing as she realized Wei Hanyu’s bosom was so full it could not be held with one hand.
“Ah…”
The soft, bone-melting moan that spilled from Wei Hanyu’s lips was the best invitation Qin Mu had ever heard. She grew bolder, slipping her hand under Wei Hanyu’s robe, eager to touch the tender skin she had only seen that morning.
But just as her hand was about to reach, a voice suddenly rang out from outside the door.
“Princess, the Crown Prince has arrived. He is waiting in the main hall.”
At the mention of Wei Yanhan, all the desire in Wei Hanyu’s eyes instantly vanished. She grabbed Qin Mu’s hand, glaring at her with a sharp look.
Qin Mu blushed furiously, rolling off to sit upright. Biting her lip, she still could not stop looking at Wei Hanyu, fearing she was angry for her boldness. But Wei Hanyu only tapped her cheek softly, her gaze still gentle. Qin Mu immediately broke into a bright grin, showing her white teeth.
When Wei Hanyu rose, she even fetched Qin Mu’s clothes and placed them by the bed. Qin Mu had no excuse to laze any longer—she quickly dressed herself.
Just before leaving, she still refused to let go. She leaned close, pressed another kiss to Wei Hanyu’s lips, and hugged her tightly before finally releasing her.

When the two of them stepped out of Wei Hanyu’s palace together, Wei Yanhan nearly ground his teeth to dust. He had beaten Qin Mu, threatened him, even thrown him into the lake—yet the weak scholar had survived half an hour in the water without drowning. What else could he do?
No matter how unwilling he was, fate was fate. His imperial sister liked this frail, penniless scholar—what could he do about it?
Still, the sight of Qin Mu’s pale face, clinging to his sister like a useless freeloader, filled him with rage. Has my sister gone blind? he thought bitterly.
Naturally, his face showed no kindness toward Qin Mu. Qin Mu, however, easily read the unwillingness in his eyes and simply ignored it.
Once outside the palace, Wei Yanhan mounted his horse. Seeing Qin Mu’s delicate frame, he smirked in disdain. This bookworm must not even know how to ride.
But before his thoughts settled, Wei Hanyu lifted the curtain of her carriage and called softly.
“Qin Mu, come here.”
Wei Yanhan’s eyes burned with fury as Qin Mu lit up with joy and climbed straight into the carriage with her. The Crown Prince’s grip on the reins was so tight that veins bulged across his hand.
He took a deep breath and forced himself to endure. For the sake of his sister—he must endure. But when his mind pictured the narrow carriage, just enough for two, the flames in his eyes roared even higher.

At the riverside pier, Qin Mu hopped out first and quickly helped Wei Hanyu down. The moment her soft, slender fingers touched the back of Qin Mu’s hand, her heart thudded wildly. Even after Wei Hanyu let go, Qin Mu could still feel the lingering warmth. She secretly lifted her hand to her nose and inhaled—her faint fragrance still remained.
“Princess, be careful—this way onto the boat!” a eunuch called.
Qin Mu looked up and saw a massive red-painted ship towering several stories high, its mast straight and thick, stretching tens of meters into the sky.
“Poor scholar, never seen such a thing before, have you?” Wei Yanhan sneered, lifting his brow with pride.
Qin Mu knew well he was mocking her. She only smiled faintly and stayed silent—the best answer to a troublemaker was indifference.
Once aboard, the cool breeze swept across the lake. Qin Mu felt as though she had ascended to great heights, gazing far and wide. But just then, a sudden shove came from behind.
Her body flowed with trained energy, dissolving the push, though the strength surprised even the culprit, who wondered if he had been too light-handed.
Qin Mu narrowed her eyes and turned, only to meet Wei Yanhan’s guilty gaze. His face reddened as he laughed awkwardly, withdrawing his hand.
“Heh, just a little joke.”
Without waiting for her reply, he clasped his hands behind his back and walked off toward the cabin.

“If he dares fool around again, let him suffer the consequences,” came a cold voice from behind.
Qin Mu turned to see Wei Hanyu’s narrowed gaze fixed on her.
“The Crown Prince only plays too much—he is not truly evil,” Qin Mu said softly, her lips curving in a smile. As long as Wei Hanyu was with her, she could endure even Yanhan’s mischief.
“The wind is strong outside once we set sail. Come in,” Wei Hanyu said gently, smoothing Qin Mu’s wind-blown hair.
Qin Mu nodded, following her into the cabin.
***
Inside, only a few people had boarded. Wei Hanyu had brought only her; Wei Yanhan had his lackeys. But the room was already laid with rich food and fine wine, enough to make anyone’s mouth water.
The Crown Prince’s face brightened when he saw his sister enter—only to darken at once when Qin Mu trailed close behind like a shadow.
As Qin Mu’s eyes lit up at the feast, Wei Yanhan smirked and stretched a foot into her path.
Qin Mu had already noticed his trick but thought it best to let him have his way for now. She stumbled clumsily forward.
Wei Yanhan’s grin widened—until the next second, when Wei Hanyu turned and caught Qin Mu firmly in her arms.
Qin Mu landed right against her chest. For the first time, a blush colored Wei Hanyu’s usually frosty face.
Wei Yanhan’s fury blazed so hot he could not even watch. With a wave of his hand, he barked, “Come! We’re going to fish at the bow!”
He stormed off with his followers, leaving only Wei Hanyu and Qin Mu in the cabin.
***
“You’re truly silly.” Wei Hanyu tapped Qin Mu’s forehead lightly.
“I knew you would catch me,” Qin Mu said, smiling brightly, savoring the warmth of her embrace.
A sudden wave rocked the boat, making the cabin tremble. Qin Mu, who had never ridden a ship, felt dizzy—but Wei Hanyu quickly took her hand and guided her to sit.
As soon as she sat, Qin Mu’s eyes went wide at the dazzling dishes before her. She grabbed one treat after another, happily stuffing herself. Wei Hanyu simply sat by her side, watching with soft eyes.
Qin Mu lifted a plum blossom cake and held it to Wei Hanyu’s lips.
“Sister Hanyu, let’s share.”
But instead, Wei Hanyu picked up a silk handkerchief and gently wiped the crumbs from Qin Mu’s mouth.
“Eat slowly. They are all yours.”
Qin Mu’s heart melted at once. She set the cake aside and leaned her head on Wei Hanyu’s shoulder, pretending weakness.
“Sister Hanyu, I don’t feel well. My head is spinning from the waves.”
Wei Hanyu chuckled softly. If she hadn’t just witnessed Qin Mu devouring food like a hungry wolf, perhaps she would have believed her.
“Sister Hanyu, if you don’t believe me, touch my forehead. Isn’t it burning?” Qin Mu pouted and pulled Wei Hanyu’s cool hand to her brow.
The touch sent her heart racing again. Soon she guided Wei Hanyu’s hand down to her cheek. If anyone entered at that moment, it would look as though Wei Hanyu was cradling her face in her palm.
“Stop fooling around.” Wei Hanyu quickly pulled her hand back, cheeks flushed pink.
Qin Mu’s eyes lit with mischief. This morning, Wei Yanhan had ruined her chance to touch that delicate skin. Now, with no one else around, she would not waste the chance.
She burrowed against Wei Hanyu’s body, one arm wrapping around her slender waist.
“Sister Hanyu, I really feel like fainting…” she murmured.
Wei Hanyu’s body stiffened, her lips pressed tightly, the blush on her face deepening.
Qin Mu grew bolder. Dissatisfied with the thin veil between them, she slipped her hand beneath the gauze and pressed her palm against Wei Hanyu’s soft skin.
Wei Hanyu trembled, drawing in a sharp breath.
Qin Mu’s heart leapt with joy. Taking it as silent consent, she roamed upward, her other hand sliding along her flat stomach. She longed to touch the softness she had dreamed of. But the tight undergarment pressed firmly against Wei Hanyu’s fullness, leaving no space for her hand to slip in.
Qin Mu sighed to herself. If there was anyone to blame, it was only that Wei Hanyu’s curves were far too generous.
