Huo Ci glanced at the time—it was already nine, and Huo Ningxian wasn’t home yet.

“Yeah, I was working late, but I’m done now. I’m heading to Tang Xiao’s place. She made dinner. Come over too. I’ll send you the location.”

Her sister must be exhausted—she’d never ended a call so quickly before.

She led Huo Ci to the bedroom, told her to shower, and prepared clothes for her, from underwear to outerwear.

Huo Ci didn’t refuse.

It was late, and Huo Ningxian likely wouldn’t leave, so she didn’t want to either.

In the room, Huo Ci realized it was the master bedroom—Tang Xiao’s.

Letting her shower there, did Tang Xiao have ulterior motives?

Huo Ci panicked.
