Diary of my Ex - Chapter 10: Publishing the Diary
The bedroom door slowly creaked open. Zheng Li poked his head in, seeing Wen Yuan sitting on the bed, a large pillow across her lap, her laptop resting on it as her fingers tapped furiously on the keys.
Under the soft glow of the bedside lamp, her delicate brows were furrowed in concentration. Her sculpted nose, her pearly teeth lightly biting her lower lip…
The beige silk pajamas she wore couldn’t conceal the faint shadows of her nipples pressing against the fabric, catching the light and creating subtle outlines that were nearly impossible to ignore.
Leaning against the door, Zheng Li stared at her—his wife, so beautiful, so perfect.
Quietly, he stepped forward and half-lay on the bed. Wen Yuan paused her typing, looking up at the soft light highlighting Zheng Li’s handsome face.
Taking her hand gently, he brought it to his lips. “Honey, I’m not against you going back to work. I just don’t want you to overwork yourself. One of us being exhausted is already enough, right?”
He leaned in to kiss her, his tone lighter now that it was Friday—the start of a relaxed weekend.
Gently, he closed her laptop, climbing over her body to place it neatly on the bedside table. After adjusting it to align perfectly with the table’s corner, he turned back to her, his weight pressing her softly into the mattress.
Feeling his warmth, Wen Yuan tossed the pillow to the ground, watching it roll away before stopping far off. She looked up at Zheng Li with a mischievous glint in her eye.
Zheng Li shook his head, smiling as he brushed her nose with the back of his finger. “You’re being cheeky, aren’t you?”
Without warning, he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her closer, slightly turning her body. He gave her a playful slap on the buttocks, the sound resonating softly in the room. The sudden gesture sent a spark through Wen Yuan’s heart.
Wrapping her arms around him, she kissed him deeply, their passion growing. At its peak, she bit his lip hard enough to leave a mark.
Startled, Zheng Li’s eyes widened. “So angry? You’re even getting violent now?”
Wen Yuan didn’t respond. How could this count as violence? Handcuffs, whips, ropes… none of that was true violence. They were… kinks, right?
Or were they? She had doubted it once, but Han Liang had always said it was just playful intimacy.
Now, with Zheng Li’s “normal” approach, she started to question those past thoughts.

Monday Morning
Zhou Yuewei’s inbox pinged with an “Important” email from Wen Yuan. Curious, she clicked it open, and almost immediately, the content gripped her.
One chapter led to another, and soon she was utterly absorbed in the writing—its emotion, its prose, its rawness. She lost track of time until a coworker knocked on her office’s glass door, asking if she wanted to grab lunch. Startled, she realized it was already noon.
Shaking her head with a polite smile, she waved the coworker off and quickly grabbed her coat. Once in her car, she connected her phone to Bluetooth and dialed Wen Yuan’s number.
The call connected. “Yuan Yuan, I’ve read your article. Have you lost your mind? We need to talk, now. I’ll meet you at the western restaurant near your place.”
—
Wen Yuan entered the private dining room, hung up her coat, and forced a wide smile at the sight of Zhou Yuewei’s furrowed brows.
Glaring at her, Yuewei didn’t waste any time. “Yuan Yuan, you can’t be serious. Have you forgotten everything? The way that bastard hurt you?”
At the mention of Han Liang, Wen Yuan felt her throat tighten. Words caught in her chest, and she couldn’t respond for a long moment.
Yuewei was right. Han Liang was her nemesis, her personal disaster.
Clearing her throat softly, she lowered her gaze, her voice almost trembling. “I just wanted you to review it before I submit it. Inspiration comes from life, doesn’t it?”
“Stop it, Yuan Yuan. We’ve known each other for years—I know you better than anyone. We grew up together! You’re thinking about him. You’re playing with fire!”
The server knocked gently, bringing in their food. The room fell into an uneasy silence.
After the server left, Wen Yuan sighed and relented. “I know. I just… I need something to do. Nothing’s going to happen, I promise.”
“Is your life really that… boring?” Yuewei asked, her voice tinged with pity.
“Yeah. The day before yesterday, when I told Zheng Li I wanted to go back to work, he only then realized how unhappy I was.”

Friday Night
Under the soft light, Wen Yuan’s fair, flawless body lay exposed to Zheng Li’s gaze. His kisses trailed down her skin, starting from her forehead to her cheeks, then her lips, and further to her chin.
His lips traced the curve of her neck, moving lower until they reached the supple fullness of her chest.
His tongue circled her nipple, his lips applying just the right amount of gentle pressure. Slowly, he sucked, drawing out her desire bit by bit.
Lifting his head from her chest, Zheng Li’s deep eyes locked onto hers, his voice low and hoarse. “Honey, don’t be mad anymore. I love you so much.”
His dark pupils glistened softly, his warm palm cupping her breast, kneading gently. His thumb and forefinger rolled over her sensitive areola, teasing her hardened nipples with delicate touches.
Wen Yuan closed her eyes, a soft moan escaping her lips as she bit down on them lightly.
Her sweet, tender voice only deepened the hunger in Zheng Li’s gaze. Slowly, his hand slid lower, removing her panties as his fingers explored the soft, slick folds between her thighs.
Using his knee, he parted her legs, positioning his hard, throbbing length against her already dripping entrance. With a slow, steady push, he buried himself inside her.
Finally fulfilling the ache that had built up all day, Wen Yuan arched her back, exhaling deeply as a wave of satisfaction coursed through her.
Her wet, tight warmth wrapped around Zheng Li, making him groan softly, his body taut with tension. “Honey, why are you so wet?” he murmured, his voice rough with desire.
Bracing himself above her, he began moving—slowly at first, then faster, his thrusts growing deeper and more intense.
Each stroke sent sparks of pleasure shooting through Wen Yuan, a sensation no toy could ever replicate.
Every withdrawal left her drenched, her juices soaking Zheng Li’s thighs and even his balls. His movements grew rougher, his usual restraint giving way to an unrelenting passion.
Her walls, impossibly tight and slippery, drove him to the edge. He couldn’t stop, thrusting harder and deeper.
“Ah, honey, bear with me!” he groaned, veins bulging on his neck as he gritted his teeth and pounded into her at a frantic pace.
The overwhelming sensations made Wen Yuan’s body tremble, her muscles clenching around him. The emptiness she’d felt all day was finally, completely filled.
She clung to his strong arms, her lips seeking his as their bodies moved in sync.
Zheng Li’s body shuddered as his release surged through him, his length buried deep inside her. His groans were muffled as he held her tightly, her breathless moans filling the room.
They lay entangled, his body slowly softening as they came down from their shared high.
