Diary of my Ex - Chapter 5: The Gentle Zheng Li and the Dissolution of Wild Desires
The night breeze carried a hint of chill, its bitter taste lingering as it passed through her throat.
After storming out of the bar, Wen Yuan finally broke down, collapsing on the sidewalk. Clutching her chest, she cried uncontrollably.
Gu Yuewei rushed to her side, hugging her tightly, “Don’t cry, don’t cry. That bastard isn’t worth your tears.”
Eventually, Gu Yuewei took Wen Yuan home. Wen Yuan lay on Yuewei’s lap, sometimes staring off into space, sometimes crying silently…
The corporate world of a big city was like the Roman Colosseum—no time to lick your wounds.
Wen Yuan took only a single sick day. By the next morning, with makeup on and her emotions tightly in check, she pulled herself together for work.
One door closes, another window opens.
When she arrived at the office, the first thing she noticed was the bouquet of Dutch tulips on her desk, along with yesterday’s double-petaled peonies.
The room was filled with the fragrance of flowers.
Gu Yuewei entered quietly with a cup of coffee, silently handing it to Wen Yuan. She glanced at Wen Yuan but said nothing, simply staying by her side.
It was Wen Yuan who broke the silence, “I should’ve listened to you sooner and let go of those unrealistic fantasies.”
She picked up her phone and decisively accepted Zheng Li’s friend request on WeChat, blocking all of Han Liang’s contacts without hesitation.
*Screw Han Liang.* Aside from love, she still had other dreams—like making a name for herself in the city, creating countless legendary ad campaigns.
A WeChat notification chimed, and Zheng Li was inviting her to dinner. *Why not?* Wen Yuan casually typed back, “Sure.”
After work, Zheng Li waited for her in the lobby—a tall, composed figure in a black suit. His deep-set eyes, sharp nose, and thin lips framed by gold-rimmed glasses gave him an air of elegance and stability that made one feel like a breath of fresh spring air.
Seeing Wen Yuan approach, Zheng Li was momentarily stunned, tilting his head slightly to observe her.
There was something unique about her—a gentle, soft face paired with watery eyes that hid a barely perceptible fierceness. An angelic face with a devilish figure.
The combination of these contrasting elements in one woman was so captivating that Zheng Li couldn’t look away.
The first time he saw her in the elevator, her beautiful eyes were filled with a deep sadness and vulnerability.
A sudden impulse stirred in Zheng Li’s heart: he wanted to shield her under his wing, to protect her. To cherish her, to build an Eden where no storm could reach her—a haven just for her.
In the understated luxury of his Phaeton, Zheng Li sat with perfect manners, watching Wen Yuan intently.
“Won’t your boyfriend get upset about you having dinner with me?”
“I don’t have a boyfriend.”
“Hmm. Don’t tell me that handsome colleague of yours is your lover, or I’ll be heartbroken.”
“Haha, no, she’s just my best friend. I’m really single right now.”
“What a coincidence. I’m in the same situation—single.”
After dinner, Zheng Li walked Wen Yuan all the way to her building. At the entrance, he gently took her hand.
“Are you free this weekend? A friend of mine is getting married, and it’d be odd to go alone.”
“Sure. I don’t have any plans.”
“Great. I’ll book the tickets, and no need to worry about what to wear—I’ll have something delivered. Are you a UK size 8 or 10?”
“Tickets? Where are we going?”
“Not too far. We’re going to Nepal.”
And it was there, in one of the happiest places on earth, that Wen Yuan discovered that gentle, stable, and soothing love could be just as enchanting.
The overflowing love from Zheng Li, the stunning snow-capped mountains, the pure surroundings—it felt like a baptism.
Her wild nature seemed to be tamed and dissolved, leaving only calm, sweetness, and tranquility.
Back in Beijing, it was already late at night. Wen Yuan had dozed off in the car, and in her half-awake state, she hugged Zheng Li, murmuring, “Liang…”
Zheng Li carried her to his apartment, placing her gently in the guest bedroom. He stroked her face, her ears. Such a lovely girl.
As he was about to leave, Wen Yuan clung to his arm. He slowly sat down, patting her gently to lull her to sleep. Unwilling to pull away, he lay down beside her.
With the first light of dawn, Zheng Li planned to slip out quietly but was caught by a pair of beautiful eyes staring back at him.
Their eyes locked, and the chocolate-brown depths of her gaze left him dizzy. He leaned in to kiss her eyelids, warm and fluttering.
Rolling over, he pinned Wen Yuan beneath him, kissing her nose, her lips.
Wen Yuan parted her lips slightly, responding to him. Zheng Li gently slid his tongue into her mouth, tenderly exploring her teeth. Softly, delicately, with reverence.
As he undid the buttons on her blouse, revealing her soft white skin, he leaned in, sucking gently. The light pressure made her sigh in pleasure.
He teased her with his tongue, circling her areola, making her head spin.
Zheng Li’s member grew larger, harder, the heat radiating through his clothes.
Wen Yuan slowly unbuttoned Zheng Li’s shirt, her eyes filled with emotion.
He stripped off his clothes, his hands tracing down her body, gently pulling aside her bra, outlining the curves of her breasts with the back of his fingers. Such a slim figure, yet with such beautiful, round, snow-white breasts, topped with rosy pink nipples.
Holding her delicate body, he whispered, “You’re so beautiful… Can I really have you?”
Moved by his tenderness, Wen Yuan lifted his chin and kissed him deeply, sucking on his lips with gentle nips.
Zheng Li lifted her legs to wrap around his waist, releasing himself and pressing against her entrance.
He moved slowly, gently, with rhythm and grace. His deep voice echoed in her ear, “Wen Yuan, I’ll take care of you. Let me love you forever, okay?”
Wen Yuan instinctively tightened her hold around his neck, passionately matching his rhythm. She secretly clenched around him, testing his size. *Hmm, not quite as long as Han Liang…*
Zheng Li’s scalp tingled as he felt her tighten around him. His eyes darkened as he panted heavily.
He groaned softly, overwhelmed by her tightness, tilting his head back, his Adam’s apple bobbing.
Trying to remain gentle, Zheng Li continued his slow, careful thrusts. But Wen Yuan’s tightness was pushing him to the edge of control.
He gritted his teeth, determined to make their first time special, not wanting to cause her any discomfort.
Noticing his hesitation, Wen Yuan kissed his neck, her tongue teasing his earlobe. “Zheng Li, take care of me for the rest of my life.”
Overcome by desire, Zheng Li, hearing her words, started thrusting with greater intensity.
Her wild side reawakened, Wen Yuan craved a more intense release. The rhythm of his movements quickened, each thrust reaching deep inside her.
As Wen Yuan arched her back, her half-lidded eyes glistening with desire, she looked up at Zheng Li, and in that moment, his heart melted.
Covering her eyes with his hand, he drove into her harder, faster, until his mind went blank.
Listening to her breathy moans, Zheng Li finally released deep inside her.
Breathing heavily, he held the sweat-soaked Wen Yuan close, whispering in her ear, “Did that feel good?”
It was good—so good, but… not enough. Not wild enough, not intense enough, not… painful enough.
If a Kun hadn’t experienced the vast ocean, if a Peng hadn’t soared through endless skies, then perhaps a tranquil lake could have been their perfect home.
But alas, Zheng Li didn’t appear in her life before him…
